I guess it hits me hard, I drive 425 miles each way to take my son to the closest neurologist because the few neurologist wiling to work in my area were on work visas that expired and could not be renewed. these doctors are needed so badly, people are not getting care that is very critical for ALS, dementia, stroke, MS, seizures,  so if there is a limited number of visas that are not because of marriage, then people should have some skill or working towards a skill that is productive.

^that totally sucks, but it sounds like changes should be made to allow those doctors to remain in the US.  

As for Larissa, I think she wanted to be in the us period.  I think that any job she can get in the United States will allow her to send more money back to care for her kids than what she would make in Brazil.  Even for an unskilled job she would make more money to send make for her kids thereby offering them a better life in Brazil.  

She may also have plans to bring them over here, which allows them more opportunity.

And I understand that a lot of people would ask "well what does she or any immigrant who is unskilled bring to the United States?". But as someone once pointed out, often it's their children and grandchildren who contribute in an amazing way.

I actually made an account on Instagram and started following that John Yates guy. He lives on Long Island and apparently is in contact with Larissa. As far as the arrest, I don’t trust a word out of either of their mouths. I could definitely see either of them hitting the other one first. I don’t believe they loved each other or wanted a life with each other. Colt probably wanted someone who would have sex with him on a regular basis and Larissa probably wanted a green card and then she would be gone from his life.I have not seen a moment where they even seemed to like each other. Both of them cross me as people who will use whoever they have to to get what they want.

I don’t think Larissa should be allowed to stay. I think once she is done with Colt, she will just look for the next man to buy her things. As someone previously said, she has done nothing to show she wants an education or any training to work. She probably just wants someone to buy her a car. 

I feel bad about Deb’s cat dying. No one should be mocked because of the death of a pet.

Meh, I'd probably be a little crazy if I had to deal with Colt and I didn't really know how to express myself in the native language.

I'm also interested in her other contacts with law enforcement.  Colt has said, multiple times that his decision to call the cops on Larissa was a mistake.  

He is not the type of guy IMO that would feel bad about calling the cops if a woman struck him.  So the fact that he felt bad makes me think she maybe didn't hit him.

I think that Colt's "go to" move when he is fighting with Larissa is to call the cops and convince them to arrest her.  This way he can retain control over her and not have to deal with a woman really arguing at him.

Surely a good lawyer can review the reality show footage and get a good idea of what is really going on behind the edits.

Both Coltee and Larissa had the 90 days to realize that they were not a good match, that things will not work out. Larissa could see from Day One that Coltee was not the man she met in Brazil. The flowers, the couch, having mother live with them, mother controlling the wallet, Colt not making his own decisions without mother. Things were not going to change at all.  Coltee should have gotten Larissa an open return plane ticket and she should have left.

I used to know a police officer who hated domestic calls and would rather go into way more dangerous situations.  

He said that domestic situations were always so messy and rarely clear cut.  Whereas with a lot of other crimes there are clear cut roles.

It just strikes me that Colt expressed such regret over calling the cops, and I don't think he would have felt a scintilla of remorse if Larissa had actually put hands on him. 

Colt is a manipulaive guy who plays calm and reasonable.....put that against Larissa who is high strung and can't explain herself as well....I could see where the situation would be misread by officers.

I don't know if things have changed, but DV calls used to be the greatest cause of police injuries and deaths.

My husband is a cop and once got hit in the head with a cast iron pan by a woman who called the police on her husband. Domestic violence calls are some of the worst to him. People are often drunk or on drugs and unpredictable, children are often on the scene and the people almost never press charges. 

I thought these two were faking much of this but I have always found Colt creepy so nothing he does surprises me.

She most likely will try to file for a U visa for victims of domestic violence, she most likely will get it as well.  IMO that has probably been her plan all along. I don't begrudge the fact that she is willing to do anything to stay in the US, the problem is that she is going the route of social media and gofundme accounts instead of thinking long term about how to earn her money with a regular job.  She should be working extra hard to improve her English and do some volunteering work in hospital/schools/nursing homes in that way when her work visa comes she would already have a foot in the door and can get a job immediately.  Instead of doing that she spends all her time on this social media telenovela. This is why I'd like to see her sent back to Brazil STAT. She doesn't contribute anything positive to this country, why should she be allowed to stay (and I say that as someone who is very open to immigration and understands that this country was/is built on immigrants)? I know, I know, Mohammit & Azan...At least the latter fudged his own interview to try to get away from the StayPuff Marshmallow. Mo should have been deported too, that he wasn't speaks volumes to how this system doesn't work. A good, law abiding refugee who is living in a hellish war zone isn't allowed into the US right now, but people like Mo and Larissa are allowed to stay? NO. Just, NO. Larissa doesn't add anything of value to anywhere, so I say send her ass back to Brazil and let them deal with her crazy. And to be honest, if she IS mentally ill, then her staying here will only enable her to seek deeper into trouble because as long as she's in the US and can keep herself in the TMZ Z-List celeb zone, she will never ever get a real job and contribute to society. When we were on O'ahu a few years ago, we went to the Polynesian Culture, Center. The absolute star of the show was a guy Samoa.  He was a fire dancer.  After the show, people were going up to him asking for his autograph.  They had another guy from Samoa who climbed coconut trees.

But really, how much can she do?  She has no access to money, she said Colt and Debbie wouldn't even let her have access to the money she earned with TLC.

According to Colt she is taking esl classes, but she can't drive and if she has no money she has no way of transporting herself to class.  She can't work yet. Maybe she can volunteer, but are they going to drive her to the hospital to volunteer?  

A ton of these ideas sound amazing on paper, but logistically they are hard to accomplish without any independent access to money or transportation.  Especially if you live in a suburb.  

I also think that only allowing people who have some special skill into the United States isn't the best idea, it sounds great, but our amazing country was built on immigrants who probably didn't look very good on paper but made tremendous contributions.

Well, most of the immigrants came to work their butts off.  They were the labor force who fueled industrialization and who have picked our food and served in our restaurants.  America didn't want nor need high skilled immigrants for years.  We needed people who would work for cheap.  It's what it was/is.

It is true that Larissa has not had the opportunity to work yet.  But I don't see her wanting to do more than Paola- she wants to post pictures on Instagram!  I would be curious to know if she has any education or skills.  I wonder what she did in Brazil.

I just see her as a drama queen and we have plenty of them here already.  If it were up to me, I'd deport Colt too and a bunch of other people from this show!

She can take ESL classes online, many sites have free lessons. Volunteer work is needed everywhere. Her English has not improved one bit since the beginning of the show so I doubt that she is taking ESL classes or if she is doing consistently.

My best friend came with a K-1 visa. She took a lot of time to improve her English online. She volunteered at the Elementary School that was 10 blocks away from her house. She didn't have a driving license so she walked back and forth every day. She put the time and effort and when she finally got all her papers together, she bid her time and once and opening position came at that school for a TA position, she got the job because they already knew her and how dedicated she was. 

Where there is a will there is a way. She has plenty of time to parade her private life on social media, she for sure has time to do something positive.

Are they donating ? I was unsuccessful in the search for the fund. Also does Coltee work for a company or self employed because that video out there is pretty disgusting. Why oh why do men do that?  Like it’s some prize cucumber , can’t remember what comedian said that decades ago.
