Why the fuck were Jay and Ash bothering to put a camera showing the inside of the door?, once someone is on that side of the door, you're pretty much fucked.  All they needed was one they put outside.

I cannot wait to see Mommy take Leida down next week.  Go Momma bear.

One more thing, for someone who grew up with maids, Leida sure knows a lot about cleaning.  Odd.

Serious question--did I miss a past episode where Debbie verbally "poisoned" Cousin Coltie about Larissa?  Mea Culpa if that's the case, because...

I am having difficulty with some of the talk about Debbie, because I do see a lot of it as supposition, i.e. "she must have been violent before to inspire Larissa to threaten to call the police so easily."  Keep in mind, in the same scene, we witnessed Larissa's irrationality of Debbie's (non) slamming of the door.  The door didn't get unhinged, but Larissa certainly did.

And as far as Debbie having a smirk on her face during the rage-fest between Larissa and Cousin Coltie, I thought she acted as the only adult in the room, engaging and distracting the young children.

Regarding their financial issues, Larissa apparently has never heard of the concept of budgets.  She reminds me of Veruca Salt from Willie Wonka who just would just stomp her feet and demand, "I don't care, I want it NOW!"

Coltie is at fault for putting Debbie in the position of credit card gatekeeper with Larissa.  Instead of Larissa blaming Coltie and his budget, she takes her frustrations out at Debbie.  Larissa can't risk blaming her green-card giver, so she pivots to Debbie with everything, to the extent where she has to manufacture faults.

And by the way, I am getting uncomfortable with the remarks about Debbie's appearance which are simply age-related.  But I do agree she actually would probably be happier in a retirement community of some sorts.

Bottom line, I mainly hold Coltie at fault here.  Boy's in no position to take on a wife.  He was plenty happy living with his mama, his living room slot machine and his sparkling cat wardrobe.  Sadly he just had some certain needs (shudder) that were going unmet, and in trying to fix that, he's screwing up other lives.

I agree that Debbie should be out of the house, but as a fellow only child, I get a little bit of Colt's position - he's somewhat responsible for his mom because he has no one else to help (save for rageaholic cousin who I would not trust) - I am in that situation.  When he wanted to have his mom live on her own, but nearby, that was not acceptable to Larissa.  He also has told her that there is a budget for things, or they can't afford them, and she puts on her vacant smile with "But this is sexy and I want it.  We get this NOW!", and when it's reiterated that they can't afford it, she pouts.  Much of that is producer driven, as it has been in the past with other couples (Anfisa, etc), but she has no concept of anything other than "I WANT NOW!!", and he's in for a tough time with her.  And that's somewhat on him.  As for David's Bridal, they're on the verge of bankruptcy, so I wouldn't go there for anything, as you'd probably lose whatever you give them and not get a dress, but Vegas is quickie wedding central, and I can't imagine there aren't shops there with better pricing.  And the 2nd dress she tried on - the one she was bent on despite it being way over budget - did nothing for her.  I liked the first one better.

When I say Debbie has to go, I mean she has no business in their marriage.

If Debbie wants to stay then she has to deal with Larissa.  Debbie  is now the third wheel......not Larissa.  Larissa is the woman of the house now.  Debbie has to get used to her son’s marriage.

Debbie will no longer control his finances to benefit HER! Which I think is what Debbie wants.

I am on Larissa’s side (or, any new wife) because they gang up on her.  We just saw someone she has only met twice berate and call her bitch in her own house.

Nobody said anything.

Nobody checked the Cousin screaming and cursing in front of the kids.  His young daughter was sitting next to him!

But, it is Ok.  Because on Sunday he will attend church and ask God to forgive him!

You can buy ready-to-wear wear dresses and veils at David’s Bridal.  I did. They had a bunch. Larissa is tall and average size.   She won’t even need any dresses altered. (Lucky her!)

Is Jay going to be 21 in  Vegas?  Good luck trying to do anything.  He won’t even be able to walk thru the casino.  Lol!  Ashley is immature!

After all that, why didn’t she just get marry in Jamaica???   Much nicer than Vegas and no racist death threats storyline!

Plus, we would be treated to a much better storyline.  Would love to see Jay’s friends and Skinz harem! Jamaican party! Hahahahahaha!

She better take down her stupid wedding registry.  No party.....no presents!

Leida was barging past a closed bedroom door to find something to be pissed about, and creating entire ranges of mountains out of molehills.

And, don't forget, when Eric at first seemed lukewarm about kicking out Tasha, she breezed through the hall, saying "Well, here I go back to Indonesia!!"  It was only after her dramatic, empty, threat that he cracked down on his child.

That was Narkyia who was from Camp Hill, PA, (which is very near Ashley and Jay) and Olulowo from Nigeria. They broke up for a while but got back together and are still married!

Fernanda "I wish I could spend more time with your mother that hates me" and Larissa "I wish I could spend no time with your mother that hates me" need to resurrect Wife Swap.

Ashley's friends are more likely to use those dresses for planned wedding #4 to the next poor bastard that proposes to her than they are for any renewal of vows.

Tasha is better off without them.  The reason she doesn't even have a mattress on her futon is because they took it, so when she wanted to stay there, she had to sleep on the floor.  That's what she said online anyway.

They couldn't legally kick her out if she wanted to stay, only the building owner/leasing company could do that, IF she's not paying.  It's time for her to move on though, that place is toxic.

True. I kind of wish she had kicked THEM out. She could have easily gotten a roommate to help her pay the bills. Or, she could have moved her boyfriend in with her.

Leida's actions were unconscionable. Especially considering that she was an interloper and not on the lease. If the leasing company had been made aware of her behavior (just recording it on her phone), they might have kicked Leida out because she was, after all, an interloper, rooting through another tenant's stuff, etc. I'm actually not exactly sure how it would all have played out, but I tend to think that if the situation had become that volatile, one side would have had to have been removed. AND, given the fact that Tasha had better credit and had behaved herself better, she would have been elected to stay. (Also, she was the first signer of the lease.)

You can't just obnoxiously yell and scream and demand that another person leave because their room is messy.

Again, I'm not exactly sure how it would have all played out, but I think there's a better than average chance that Eric would have been looking for a place. And, with his credit and spotty history, the best thing he would have found was a climate-controlled storage unit! He'd better hope that Leida doesn't act a fright and get into a squabble with another tenant, truculent woman that she is! The three of them will wind up camped out in Eric's vehicle dining on 7-11 food with him saying, "See, I told you I would provide. I even have a roll of toilet paper if you have to go after the convenience stores are closed."

Tasha is so much better off. I just hope she has the sense not to let Eric back into her life again after Leida dumps him. Talk to him, sure. Treat him respectfully, yes. He's her dad. But don't EVER trust him again and keep contact with him very limited! Like, go knock on his vehicle on Christmas eve and say hello, but don't give him money.

I think that's a real risk for her. She would have no right to remain in the USA if she doesn't marry him. And she wouldn't be permitted to take the baby back to Russia without his permission or court approval. And a U.S. court might be reluctant to let her take the kid back to Russia, perhaps never to be seen by Steven again, if Steven opposes that.

She needs to tell Steven that baby is not becoming a US citizen until she has her green card, that'll give him a little incentive to not fuck her over.

God I hate Kalani the most. She looked like she was laughing at Asuelu when he was crying. Of course he wants affection. Men equate the physical affection with love where as we need all these other things before physical affection to feel loved. Just give the damn guy a hug for Christ sake.

Her name is on the lease and she was there first. It is her apartment, technically, so she can come and go as she pleases. Leida hasn’t contributed a dime and has no more of a claim to the place than Eric. I would bet Tasha only stayed with the BF because she had no where else to go. Leida doesn’t work so she’s always there. It’s a toxic environment to be in and I would probably hang out elsewhere, too.

Yes.  If she had wanted to move in with her boyfriend, what was stopping her?    I am sure she just couldn't hack being in her own apartment with the constant harping from Leida.  Allessandro is an adorable child, but he has witnessed his mother's treatment of Tasha, and who knows how *he* is treating her as a resultl?

I want to know where the mattress to the futon is, too.  I think Tasha's room is a wreck, but it doesn't look filthy to me.  As a teenager, I lived in as messy a room as I could get away with, and I never had any trouble finding what I wanted.

ETA:  Reading further, I salute those posters who spotted the "very thick mattress pad" as Tasha's futon mattress.  Of course it is.  Jesus what a piece of shit that Eric is.

Does Steven know what a newborn eats? How frequently? Which vaccinations they require and when? Somehow I doubt the answer is yes to any of the above. The notion of him caring for a newborn by himself with little to no support is so ludicrous and I'm heartbroken for Olga. Again, my sort-of-new-mom sensibilities are offended to the core at the idea of someone jetting off with my baby for God knows how long. Even if Steven were an even-tempered, well employed, mature and sensible adult, I'd have second hand anxiety for Olga having to part ways with her baby.

Reminds me of a scene in Weeds where Estaban sends his thugs after Nancy to get his newborn son. Nancy asks Ignacio, "You can't take him on the road with you. Do you even know what a newborn eats?"

Ignacio shrugs and says, "Chicken? Crackers?"

Steven would be equally clueless with a newborn. He wouldn't even make it through the flight home! That little baby would be going crazy missing his mom!

I'm not even sure it's a good idea to fly with such a tiny baby if it can be avoided. Just wait until he's a little bigger and he can go with his mother.

Oh, I'd love to see this skinny, skaterboy with acne, twenty year old high school (if that) graduate tangle with the Russian government over getting little Richie out of the country without his Russian mother's consent. Wonder how well that will go for selfish douche boy, Steven. Olga, little Richie, and Russia for the win in that scenario. At the end of this one-sided battle with the Russian officials, Steven will be unceremoniously escorted to the Moscow airport and drop kicked back to the states on the first flight headed to Bowie, Maryland, and Olga will be able to breathe again.

And on top of treating her that way period, he purposely did it on camera. I hope whatever her current financial/employment situation is, she can get adequate access to therapy. Of you are a military vet who is 100% disabled you can work any job you want for any amount of money, see, John McCain.  If you are rated 100% Disabled by the VA due to”unemployability” You cant work for whatt is called substantial gainful activity. That means that you cannot make more than around $1000 a month. SSDI has the same substantial gainful activity rule.

Thanks!  I knew there was something like that. You can work some as long as you are not receiving ‘full’ benefits.  A lot of people on disability work.

I am also a vet like you.  But, I am not on disability, so I don’t know all the programs that give you money. I do know that you need to be disabled to qualify for a lot of vet discounts/freebies on offer.

The whole military disability thing can turn into scam.  When I was in a lot of people used to go to medical.  Like knee problems was big thing.  Which is legit because combat boots really mess up your feet/legs. Everything has to be documented, so you can get your disability rating.  I think the average percent was 40%.

One day my boss tells me, so do you have any pain?  I was like, only you!  Hahahah! Then he told if I had any pain to go to medical and start getting documented.  I was like, why would I do that?  I don’t want my record messed up and denied jobs, etc, for not being fit for full duty.

He was like,  no dummy, don’t worry about that.  It is so you can get a check when you get  out!  Then he told about the disability percentage and checks.

If you are a disabled vet I noticed you get a lot of fees waived, which can save you lots of money.  If you are classed 100% disabled, you don’t pay property taxes.  I bought a house from a 100% disabled retired service member. He was like this house is classified as tax free.  Then he tried to used that to reflect the selling  price.  I kept telling him that Is for you.  Not me.  He wouldn’t drop it.  When we were doing the paperwork, of course I find out, I have to pay the property taxes (duh!).

He was such an ass about the whole tax thing that it worked against him.  I told him he needed to pay me the money ‘I was promised I would save’ buying his ‘tax-free’ home.  He didn’t want to and then I told him I would sue him for fraud. I would call the VA on him, too, for using his benefits to sell his house at a higher price.  We ended up settling on a nice amount.  Honestly, I would have walked away, but the house was perfect, and there was literally no inventory during this time.

People really get caught up in their disability stories.  Please, tell me what 66 year old doesn’t have some kind of disability?  Acting like an a’hole is not a disability, so she can try and be a little nicer. ! Lol

Maybe she grew up watching them and barking orders at them as to doing it proper! If that's the case, I'm sure her family's maids are glad to have her out of the house. I know a woman who feels the need to watch her "cleaning lady" work. She moves with her from room to room and sits there reading a book as the woman works around her.

You are absolutely right. Tasha should have NO contact with him whatsoever. Not even if he comes crawling back to her after Leida leaves him broke and desperate which we all know she will! Even then she needs to keep his number blocked (assuming he can even afford a phone at that point).  He may come slithering back to Tasha mumbling apologies of a sort, apologies riddled with excuses, but he will only be gathering steam until he finds the next gold-digger. Then he will break her heart all over again.

He's a toxic waste dump, Tasha. Sad to say, but you're far better off without him! Save your feelings for the humans.

Debbie and Coltee are acting like Larissa's foster parents. Coltee is the groom. Debbie should not be saying anything about their private life-- she should not tell Larissa what she can/ can not buy. She should not tell Larissa that her parents should pay for the wedding, she should not tell Larissa to buy a sexy nightgown and forgo a dress-- she should be supportive and nice, and not get into their business. Regardless of how clueless Larissa is. It is not her place, and I'm thrilled Larissa is on top of Coltee to get out of there asap.

I have not seen Debbie do anything but tell Larissa what to do and tell her no. I personally would have left at the first sign of scolding. It's bullshit, low-class control issues. Coltee and Debbie both seem on a power trip at Larissa's expense.

All Debbie needed to say was, "Talk to Coltee." She didn't need to add the sexy nightgown, greencard threat, or bride's parents pay comments. She needs to ZIP IT.

The tax free things is true but only in certain states like Florida. Just a few states give a full exemption. Some just apply it to 25000 or 50000 of the value of the house. Are you In Fl by chance?

Also, and unrelated. I had a friend from Brazil.  She was an exchange student. She added e to words. My 2 friends from Portugal did not. It must have something to do with Brazilian Portuguese.

I agree that Tasha is not a child, she hasn't paid rent, and she trashes the place.  Leida is setting boundaries- good for her.

Same old story lines as the last few seasons.  The Larissa "calling the cops" scene was done by prior fiances Jessie and the little guy from the DR.  The fiance wanting the over-budget wedding dress was done by prior fiance Anfisa.  The family drama involving the overgrown kid Asuelo and his earth mother/fiance Kalini, been there done that.  More of the same.

At least we'll get a new story line with the couple in Russia- fiance trying to leave a foreign country with his foreign born baby- hey, that's a new one for us!  Oh, and I sort of feel badly saying this, but Debbie really should see a dermatologist about having that big growth removed from her face.  Ugh, it's so ugly and probably a very easy fix.

I disagree with you completely about Tasha.  It is not Leida's place to "set boundaries" when she barely even knows Tasha.  That's Eric's job as her father.  In these scenes, Leida isn't even married yet to Eric.  Also, she didn't pay the rent for one month while she was looking for a place, not multiple months.  And from what I understand, the apartment was Tasha's and she invited Eric to live with her.  Her room was messy...but I lived at college when I was Tasha's age and saw many rooms like that.  And if the apartment was Tasha's in the first place, she can get it messy if she wants to.  Eric and Ledia can go elsewhere.  I had a stepmother who entered my life when I was slightly older than Tasha, and she doesn't insert herself into the relationship between my father and me because it's none of her business and my father and I are both adults and were family long before she came into the picture  (She and I have a great relationship...probably because we both know our places.).

Leida claims to be from "money" and claims to be very educated- so why does this woman bring no money into her marriage?

This season is surely depressing.  I don't care about Colt/Debbie/Larissa anymore because Larissa needs to go.  Clearly Colt is never going to give her what she wants, the there will be a perpetual power struggle with Debbie.  She's blind if she can't see that by now!

Fairy tales about a parent siding with a new abusive spouse against his/her child?  Off to look up the meaning of "fairy tale," because that situation is the antithesis of a fairy tale, as I've always understood the term, at least.

And thank you for starting off my day with the amazing snark.  :-)  Choked on my diet coke at the thought of Eric in a board meeting!!  Pretty sure that mental image will stay with me for a while and prompt a snort every time the thought runs through my head.  ;-)

Grimm’s fairy tales do just that:  Hansel and Gretel, Cinderella (Aschenputtel), Snow White, etc.

Here is the other side of the coin:  My dad never argued about child support and willingly paid for all our sports, entertainment and expenses.  He was on time with cash every Saturday morning.  He also never wanted a decree for visitation.  We did move down the street from him and would come and go when he wasn't home.  He would pay any amount of money not to have to deal with us.  Mom's rules were set in concrete and he would back her to the hilt.  Best divorce ever.

Eyebags and Witch- This woman is evil and has the demeanor of a 5 year old having a tantrum; such a winning combination.  So she wants Eric to give up parental rights but is okay with the minor girl free babysitting AHLISS like a servant?  I hate her.  And all her fake "i'm going back if you don't throw Tasha out, oh noes!"; such a faker.  At the furniture store after she said what she said in the car, Eric should have kicked her out of the car and told her to find her way home to Indonesia.  But since he's a crap father, he took her back.

Toothie/ Coltie-  Why do they keep telling her she can have stuff and then take her place where the stuff is WAY out of her price range/budget?  Seems almost cruel.  What is with the new camo chair?  Like I said before, I've no love for Toothie but John came in lookin for a fight and to trash her.  In my opinion she was not mad enough- at him and at Coltie.  I love me some Debbie but I totally believe she was running back and forth complaining at Casa John.

Dried up Jessica Simpson/ Devar 2.0- Snore, I'm glad no one is going to shoot up their house, but snore.

Mexican Barbie/ Douche- No matter what is happening on social media she is coming off well on the show; or at least better than douche.

Angelic Olga/ Steven- I really wonder if he is trying to quit smoking; he has a lot of nervous little ticks and is very unplesant .  Bottom line, he still needs counseling.

Kalani Beast/ Rainman- Why did her sister even come? to scowl on camera?  Rainman just wants cuddles.

I had to laugh at Chekov's security camera.   There was no possibility they would install a security camera only to have nothing happen.  Right on cue, somebody's pounding on the door like it's The Haunting of Hill House or maybe Vikings with a log.  Who could it be?   The KKK?  Herky-jerky camera rush to the door!   Never mind, it's just aggrieved ex-friend Natalie and her bruised ego.

Right, and I'm pretty sure she didn't even check the camera first...

Sure. Unless that relative comes in, screams at you, calls you a bitch, golddigger, tells you that you should be grateful since she lives like a queen with a diamond engagement ring, and a host of other bullshit.

If not Debbie (who nosy cousin specifically referenced), than Colt. But someone did indeed poison the well.

Exactly. Cousin Colt came in and he came in strong. I doubt he’d be so upset if Debbie   and Colt were telling hin that Larissa is all sunshine and roses. Where was Cousin Colt getting that Larissa was with Colt for a so-called “glamorous” lifestyle? I believe 100% that Debbie felt her place in Colt’s life was threatened and that’s why she decided to recruit the Cousin to be on her side. I get that she’s older, but that doesn’t mean she’s a completely innocent party.

Someone who is that 'wealthy' may not have bags and shoes with large, flashy logos. She may have some understated items that don't scream 'look at me'!

Sure, there are wealthy people with subtle good taste. But that's clearly not Leida! Those people don't tell TV cameras how rich their families are and how they live in luxury. Do we seriously think Leida is some kind of classy Barbara Bush type who privately treasures Grandmother's good silver, or the "millionaire next door" who stays in the starter home for 30 years while building a seven-figure mutual fund? No. People who brag about how their first wedding was at a 5-star hotel, they grew up with an army of chefs and maids, etc., find a way to display that wealth if it's real. My conclusion is that Leida's is not real.

Leida is going to have to spend a lot of time on Eric’s stick and earn every bit of that green card!

With her son sleeping right next to them? LOL, ain’t going to happen!

I'm too mad at Bride of ISIS and GI Garbage to write a full recap or their sordid vortex of evil, they make my blood boil and steam come out of my ears like a pressure cooker.

I'm just going to list the insults I jotted down while watching the show.

  • Eric has a huge horizontal crack on his forehead. You can see it from space. If you step on his foot, Eric's top pops open and you can toss your trash in him. He's a proper garbage person.
  • Leida's eyebrows remind me of 80's porno pubic hair landing strips. When she's upset and squishes them together, a second anus forms in between them. Once you've noticed it, you'll never unsee it. When she relaxes her forehead sphincter you can get a glimpse of the fecal matter that makes up her personality. There's a job waiting for her in Annie's ping pong bar.
  • Eric is very principled about paying child support since he's probably in significant arrears and probably doesn't want his license suspended, and living in your car without a license might have been a big problem for him in the past. I almost want this to happen so that he and Miss Bitter Second and Third Fiddle Indonesia make an old Hyundai their permanent residence.
  • It's becoming clear that Eric is attracted to Leida because she's ISIS Personified, with the difference that the IEDs are sentient and stalk your family members to blow them up instead of you having to drive over them.
  • Tasha, your "father" has exactly what he longs for and deserves. When you declared that you are done with his "psychotic new wife," you were in good company. The whole world is done with her.
  • I do love how Leida gets obsessed with winning battles over the chunks of rubbish that make up Eric's life, and loses sight of the big picture. Much like Wile E. Coyote when he forgets that he wants to catch the Road Runner to eat it, and starts to plot to blow it to smithereens.
  • When a rage-filled, ballistic Leida gloated to Tasha "I'm the boss, now!" I reminded myself of the kingdom over which she rules: a box spring, fake swords, and a rat-chewed recliner.
  • Eric's answer for how he'll eventually make up for all his abject failures: "It. Takes. Time." As in, right after he sobers up, which he never will, especially with Wile E. Coyote as his wife.
  • We finally know what their plan is. "It Takes Time" Eric will help her become a doctor and they will become very rich, then she'll support him and buy all these luxuries she longs for by herself. Out of gratitude for Eric getting her started, he'll enjoy her undying gratitude and generosity, and she'll never leave him. Nothing will go wrong with this plan.
  • The first thing that will go wrong with this plan is that she'll never become a doctor, and will blame Eric for it. How am I so certain of this? No person with this much naked, uninhibited cruelty becomes a doctor because they'd be kicked out the residency program (if she makes it that far).
  • She's literally a human cuckoo, kicking out the parent bird chicks' and exhausting them with her insatiable hunger, to the point of becoming double their size. Yet she intends to marry a man who admitted that he picks and chooses which bills to pay every month, because he can't pay them all. This will go well.
  • "I'm going to let him pay his child support" the she-devil magnanimously decreed, after demanding that Eric give up his parental rights.
  • Her family was worried about her marrying a man with "baggage" as if her own previous failed marriage, child, etc. isn't baggage.
  • If this cruel, diabolical harpy and depraved washed up drunk don't stay together forever in glorious misery, there is no justice.
  • If I could have written a blessing for their wedding reception, it would be: "May the newlyweds spend every penny on vanity photo shoots for the beautiful bride until both starve to death."

Hot dogs and hamburger patties that were pink because it's the cheap kind that's full of fat?

I genuinely hope that you write for a living, in some capacity.  If not, you should. (Not being snarky at all, 100% serious).

I was super disappointed when we saw Tasha's room. It wasn't remotely gross. It looked like a 19 year old's bedroom. And how extremely shitty must it have been for her to have to pack it up, alone, and shlep it all downstairs and across the parking lot to her truck, alone, while being berated by Leida the entire way.

Leida's "put it proper" standards are impossible to pin down. I still don't know how you can load someone's luggage into a trunk incorrectly, and Leida should really have a look at the average dorm room. Yeah, she had clothes spread out all over the place, but I didn't see any weeks-old dishes or nasty ground-in stains on the carpet. And she only had a futon to sleep on...Jesus, Eric is a terrible father. Leida is a temporary irritation; she's going to have to be his daughter for life

I don’t think she really has standards.

I think she’s just being difficult and trying to complain about anything and everything she can to appear like she has standards.

There are people who are properly “high-maintenance” and then there are people who just like being fussed about.

Yeah, at most, I’d say her room was disorganized. A few items from Ikea and the Container Store would have kept the space nicer because I mostly saw clothes and accessories everywhere. Not trash.

I’ve always wondered what Leida’s living space in Indonesia would look like if she didn’t have maids cleaning after her...
