Couldn't agree more. As a white woman, I've never experienced racism but I just got custody of a pregnant 15 year old. Her parents threw her out of the house when they found out the father of the baby is black. I really hate people. 

I'm also in recovery, I haven't had a drink since 12/29/1995 and I see that sort of thing a lot. Alcoholics and addicts are scumbags to a lot of people. I guess you see it differently if you've been there.

I'm confused.  Did you mean "it's worse for racists TO breed?"  

I've dealt with self medicating, racists homophobes who are alcoholic and pill abusers. I don't spend anytime or energy wth then as they are toxic. 

I think if you are in recovery, you're very brave and inspiring.  It must be very hard. I'm bothered by MJ drining so heavily and it's as if she's self medicating and i hope she gets help but a reality show, self medicating alcoholic does not need to have a baby now.  I don't think she should be burned at the stake but she needs help.

I appreciate everyone's take on GG's hearing loss. I may have RA but not hearing loss. I'll try to go back and watch the older episodes.

I don't care if she drinks herself into oblivion, I think the problem is that she says she is trying to have a baby,  while she is an alcoholic, hasn't made any effort to stop in order to have a healthy pregnancy, and doesn't have a clue that it's a problem. Not cool. You don't do that to an innocent baby.

I know that everyone has been all over MJ, and I agree to an extent.  Should she have a baby now?  Absolutely not, and I think that is clear to everyone, Tommy included.  However, I have a soft spot for her because of what she is going through, watching her parent that she is so close to slowly dying before her eyes.  I went through the exact thing last year, from June until mom passed in October.  The episode when she & Reza went to visit him was particularly hard for me to watch.  And when Reza was telling everyone at the party what rough shape he was in and how shocked he was and how MJ just acted normal...well that was me.  When you watch someone during a prolonged illness and you are with them so much every single day, that becomes your "normal."  Their appearance becomes normal to you, and it isn't until someone visits that hasn't seen them like that and you see their reaction, then you realize how much they have gone downhill. 

And when Mike had that talk with her in Israel about how you have to keep living your life....well he was right and I totally get it, but doing it is another thing!  You try, believe me, but you are just going through the motions.  That is what I see MJ doing.  She is going thru the motions of renovating her condo, but not truly living her life because she can't.  I totally get that.  Hell, it's been a year and I am still going through the motions.  She is numbing herself with alcohol and is focusing so hard on a baby because that is how she is getting thru.  Is it the right way?  No, but you do what you gotta do to get through.  She couldn't even take in any of what Tommy was saying to her....all she heard was no to a baby which is her only focus right now to keep her from feeling the pain of her father's illness.  I just really hope that if/when her dad is no longer around, that she has people around her to help cope with the loss because she will really spiral out of control if not.   I really do wish her well and hope her & Tommy make it.  He really seems like a good guy and I think he really does love her.  MJ is so lucky to have him because Vida sure has done a number on her and is a vile human being.

I am so sorry for your loss, we walked the same path as well, so many of us do. 

Now, for MJ, she has had an alcohol (and pill problem according to the others) for a very long time. I do think her fathers stroke made it worse but adding a baby isn't going to make things better, it will only make them worse if she ads a baby with fetal alcohol syndrome into the hell she is already in. No matter how much it hurts her to face this, she has to before she gets pregnant and there is no kind, gentle way to do it.

MJ is very messy, and in more ways than one. I'm glad she's taking the time to renovate her condo but what she really needs to work on is herself. Hopefully finds a skilled therapist for weekly sessions and brings her mother along with her on occasion to workout her abandonment issues.

Reza is an asshole for destroying MJ's furniture, but that's who he has always been.

I felt bad for Destiney being held captive in that very uncomfortable lover's quarrel. If I were her I would have just left at some point.

Something tells me that Shalom planned/staged that fight to ask GG to marry him without the others around. I don't think he could have pulled that all together in the hour between leaving the house and asking her, he preplanned it. Which explains why he wouldn't really answer anyone's questions and that he refused to actually fight with GG. LOL

Hate to say it, but I've sorely missed Asa these past several episodes. She may have her own faults, but she still lent a sense of space hippie-dippy peacefulness in the midst of all their ongoing dramas. Whether it was her art or fashion or whatever else little creative adventures she was pursuing, it kinda lent a sense of whimsy that this show needs. Plus, she usually offered a lot of the Persian food porn.

If she's off the show for good after this season, I'm checking out. Hell, I missed the last few episodes and hated them both upon rewatch. These people are all so awful.

This show has gone from being compelling to annoyingly predictable. The multiple stabs at various careers bugs the crap out of me...I'm an actress! I'm a shoe designer! I'm a playwright! I'm a caftan designer! I'm a photographer! I'm a video artist! I'm a stand-up comic! It's like they are playing aspirational Mad Libs. They have just enough clout (or the production company does) to be able to indulge their fantasies and then move on. This, plus the manufactured inter-Shah drama = yawn.

GG was on WWHL last night and said they are "dating" but not living together.

I think all of us would like this show a lot more if they brought on food porn. Remember those sumptuous spreads they used to put out for each other when they had someone come visiting? The tables were laden with many dishes of apricots, nuts, dips,cheeses,and crackers etc. That was even before the main courses. I'd even tolerate getting a cooking lesson for their rice dish. Alas, I don't want to see it in MJ's dirty (nonexistent) kitchen. Do any of them (besides I'm sure Asa or her Mom whom only want the best for the baby) still cook or entertain? If I want to see people going out than I can go out and people watch.

And then for the rest of the Shahs to keep saying, "I like him.", "He's good for GG.", "She finally got a good one.", "He's hot." (Reza is blind) made it a hundred times worse. A part of me wanted to be like, why aren't any of you telling him to leave if he wants to go so badly/telling GG how horrible he is and that he's bound to get worse, but I imagine like many of us, they've been the messengers who got shot. I do suspect that the fight was to get GG off camera, away from the others so that he could propose in private.  They are still legally married, although she filed for separation/divorce she didn't follow through with the divorce, they are dating again.

I think you are on to something about the food.... most of the housewives  don't let a morsel pass their lips.  Probably why they are so cranky.   Perhaps if they  all stopped drinking so much, they would be  lot more pleasant to be around.  I would like to add I would like it a lot more if Reza stopped using the B word as if it was water and clean up his mouth and if MJ would wash her feet once in a while.    Run Tommy Run

Good Gordon, what a sad state of affairs when we are all whining and caring about the FOOD PORN only and could do without each and every cast member.  I say MORE FOOD PORN please!  Oh yes, and the way that female concierge was incorrectly pouring the champagne was a true sin indeed.

Probably, @Adultosaurus. Although she had managed to get her guy on there for a short explanatory scene during her second season, as well as getting Latoya and Paris to show up to a few shindigs, so it's not like they all completely bailed on filming with her.

I really thought GG's ring was fake.  How much do we think that ring cost given the stone is a good quality and maybe it's 3 carats let alone the setting.  It's really unattractive.  What does Shalom do for a living?

Of course, this was him last season.  He didn't want Jessica to talk about him cheating, not because he felt bad but because of how he looked....his ego was more important than his wife's feelings.

I don't believe Asa was with Jermaine in season 1. I believe she was still dating Shaahin Cheyene. I believe they split as season 1 was filming.

Most articles state that she has been with Jermaine since 2010. Including this article from 2012 which would be before Shahs started. That also checks because Cheyene isn't press shy and would probably jump at the chance to be on the show.
