So Mo doesn't want to hire an attorney because they are too expensive, but sits there and asks for legal advice. That lawyer should have handed him a bill. I realize it was a TLC setup but really Mo?

Jorge is back to buying gifts? And anfisa is getting fillers. Sigh.

I'm sorry but as crazy as my American self thinks it is to send money home, that's Pedro's culture. And Chantal has no business bringing her family into her business . It's between Pedro and Chantal. Just goes to show how immature they are. They didn't think about anything before getting married.

I know that pao's shoot was a TLC set up also, but what husband follows his wife around while she is working?  Yeah yeah, I know her career is fake but seriously, would he be ok if Pao came to work with him and approved or disapproved of everything?

Hearing about Dani and Mo's sex life was making me nauseated.

Chantel wasnt listening to the leave/cleave part of her marriage vows. Pedro is her family now and her when her daddy told her to get back in the van, she should have been woman enough to stay by her man.

Good point but Chantel's gotta follow the money.  No doubt daddy and mommy are supporting her (she's a student) so if she pisses them off she risks getting cut off.  Then she and Pedro won't have their little love nest to come back to.  And obviously Pedro isn't making enough to support her and his family, and I think he'll pick his family over Chantel if he had to choose who his paycheck goes to.

Ok the gas station near my childhood home sold fried chicken gizzards and potato wedges...not chicken feet, but pickled pigs feet and eggs.  It's not so weird.

Pao looks better with dark hair.  The whole agent thing seems very staged.

Chantel and Pedro are beyond immature. My husband and I kept yelling at the tv,everytime they both kept saying "we don't know if the wedding is still on,if we're even together" you're freaking married! Married couples don't question if they're still together after stupid fights. Chantel wants a nicer home? Well sweetheart return the ring use the money for a down payment idiot.

Her parents are feeding her bullshit and ruining her marriage & she doesn't even see it! Pedro's family are no better but with the vibe Chantal's family gives off,the snobby attitude I can see why Pedro's family is acting like assholes back.

Jorge and Anfisa need to figure out if they wanna be together or not, their story line is getting old as well.

alexi & Loren my husband and I just FF she's dramatic and annoying.

danielle and mo divorce is dragging on and on. End it already.  I'm tired of her always saying how much he's hurt her daughters. I'm pretty sure they don't give a shit about him. Get a new excuse Danielle.

Russ and pao will continue to have problems,no matter if he has a job or not. If she models or not. If they live in Miami or not. They have completely different opinions on life styles and that can only last so long in a marriage before one of them walks.

Lexi/Loren: She needs to put on her big girl panties and go to her speaking engagements by herself. She accepted a job that requires traveling and needs to realize Lexi works too and can't just take days off at a moment's notice. And Loren's Dad was shifty, he knows the internet was available a few years ago.

Anfisa/Jorge: Anfisa cracks me up. Her priorities are screwed up. She's telling us she's low on funds, yet gets expensive lip fillers and Botox treatments. And for what? She sits alone in a dingy apartment all day.

Chantel/Pedro: First of all, stop calling it a wedding. You're already married, you already had a wedding. Call it a vow renewal, a re-commitment ceremony, a reception or whatever. This ain't your first rodeo. And why was River even there at the man to man lunch? He didn't add anything to the discussion, he made things worse. And why is FamilyChantel so hung up on the number of bedrooms FamilyPedro has?  Pedro just can't win with them.

Dani/Mo: How dumb of Dani to go to Mo's friend and expect him to sign an affidavit for her. Tom was right to tell her to focus her energy on her daughters. Both Dani and Mo spent way too much time pleading their case on social media. I think that lawyer was pissed Mo wasn't using him as counsel in the courtroom. That whole setup was odd. What lawyer doles out advice for free. Oh wait, one that wants the free TV exposure. Watching Dani's phony meltdown was just plain crazy. She'd take him back in a second.

Russ/Pao: Your wife's "career" is doing sleazy shots for men's magazines or borderline porn modeling. She likes to flaunt her body. If you can't handle it, go back to OK.

I am Ukrainian, and my Grandmother (God rest her soul) sent packages to her relatives (couldn't send money in those days) every month.  Not only to her mother, but later, to her six nieces and nephews.  I am also married to a Ukrainian.  I was the one who sent his family money, they never asked, and now, when they need money, he always asks before he sends anything, as I pay all the bills.

I suspect a 3 bedroom apartment in the DR is pretty cheap.  The issue is not really about the money.  It's about a unilateral action.  IMHO.

True but pao has to have an actual paying job first. So far we've seen photo shoots to add to her portfolio,no paid shoots.

I really like Alexi's mom. She seems like she likes Loren and took the news about the tourettes well. I was almost crying when they said goodbye to her.

On another note, Tom has some good points. Every time Danielle brings up how Mohammed treated her on social media, I think of her actions towards Diamond. I'm getting tired of their story line. I hope it ends this year. They are both idiots.

Does anyone else play the drinking game "Take a shot whenever Danielle says "Social Media"?

Or,

If you have to get up early the next morning, "Take a shot whenever Anfisa smiles"?

I think it's funny how every episode Paola makes a passive/aggressive comment about American culture vs Latino culture while throwing digs at American culture of course. "The difference is in Latino culture when a man loses his job he will do anything, even sell empanadas on the street, to provide for his family." Maybe she has never met men with the kind of education and professional expertise like Russ is what I am guessing. Personally, I wouldnt see the motivation when a wife runs out on you to South Beach to try to break into modeling at 29 and giving ultimatums that it's Miami or nothing. Omg. Is she above bartending or working fast food, instead of spending her nights going out to clubs ?

Anfisa speaking to her grandmother humanized her a little bit, as this was the first time we see her family ever, especially when she mentioned that she was raised by her grandmother. I am guessing that her mother was a single parent and things must have been tough growing up. I also did not realize Jorge was Hispanic. It appears like his mother does not speak English, so how does his Spanish seem so bad ? It seemed like he was speaking very slowly whenever he spoke Spanish. Also, is Lourdes his real sister ? She looks nothing like Jorge and Jorge's mom.

The thing with Pedro sending money back to his family will always make Chantel's family cringe if they had helped support them in the first place, which they may or may not have been. Most cultures around the world are all about helping your parents if they need it, and I believe this is the best mentality, I think Americans need to learn from that. HOWEVER MamaPedro and SisterPedro better SHOW freaking gratitude and respect when Chantel comes to visist because SHE IS THE REASON their lives have been bettered while simultanesouly lowering her own standard of living. Pedro's family acts very proud - especially the sister - but they sure didnt mind demanding luxuries. The sister has quite a mouth on her, btw.

These couples need to be switched. Paola with Pedro, Chantel with Russ, Jorge with SisterPedro or MamaPedro, and Anfisa with the plastic surgeon and Uber driver on the side.

As far as Pedro/Chantel go, since they're married, they should behave as if all their money is joint money and consult each other on financial matters.  It seems like she doesn't even know how much money he's sending back to his family.  So, I get Chantel's frustration.  But...

If he's sending back a share of the TLC money, I don't think it's as egregious as if he were sending back his weekly paycheck.  To me, the TLC money is sort of "found money," and while it's still should be treated as jointly their money, she could be a little more accommodating about him sending some of that money back.

As for Papa Chantel stating that Chantel had a better standard of living before Pedro, did she have that sweet TLC money before she met him?  Pedro is contributing to a rise in Chantel's standard of living by being on this stupid show, so Papa Chantel can shut it.

I'm not so sure that Americans need this lesson from Pedro's family.   Pedro's sister and mother seem able-bodied; why doesn't their culture encourage them to be self-sufficient?  Like, get J-O-B-S.   He has other sisters who work and pay their own way.  "Helping" is one thing...creating a lifestyle better than one's own is another.

I do hate that Russ is acting like he's taking a job at McDonalds or WalMart...it's still a job in the Engineering field (which yes I know there are many different fields of engineering, my husband is one) but it's better than the NOTHING that he has right now.....I mean I'm not Pao fan but he's kind of grating on my nerves right now...

Russ' reasoning mindboggles me. Like damn, isn't he supposed to be the smart and thoughtful one out of the two?

"What if oil and gas picks up and I'm here in Miami?" Um, then you can quit that engineering job and move back to OK or TX or another oil-exporting state? The oil industry has been hurting since 2014.

"I'm taking a significant pay cut, so I don't know if I want this job." RUSS, YOU HAVE BEEN OUT OF WORK FOR ONE YEAR! Any money should be welcome money. Do not count on oil picking up anytime soon. Aren't you worried about what large gaps in your resume will signal to future employers?

Even if it's not his field of engineering, he kind of has to take what he can get at this point. I know oil and gas - I wrote my Master's thesis about the industry and I'm originally from Western Canada. Russ knows it's a cyclical industry with the highest of highs and the lowest of lows... so putting all his eggs in one basket was foolish.

Sorry Pao but half of what he made in Oklahoma doesn't really cut it in highly expensive Miami. To him, it may be like taking a job at Walmart. He has a high maintenance wife and took a major pay cut to live in a city where the cost of living is high. And Pao will make no money. It probably is devastating after all of Russ' hard work toward a career, for it to be swept out from under him for this shallow bitch. He's trying so hard, it's sad.

Russ works in oil and gas and he's been out of work for about a year due to the downturn. Firms aren't hiring. I've visited Calgary a few times since the downturn and the downtown core is like a ghost town because so many people have been laid off. I wager he made at least $110,000 per year as a drilling engineer. Even if Pao wanted to stay in OK, he wouldn't be working in his chosen field. I get what you're saying--I think Paola is a selfish bitch too. But there's not much for him in Oklahoma City right now.

I guess he took an entry-level engineering job in Miami making $55,000-$60,000 per year. I've never been to Miami. Does anyone know if this is a living wage?

I could have sworn that we were told Mother Pedro was an attorney in the DR, what happened to her career/paycheck and the sister, why isn't she working?  Why  is Chantal always in bed?  We have never heard her say anything about studying or school in general?  If Pedro has his green card is he free to travel outside the country without Chantal or his green card? Is his passport enough?

Why did the photographer shoot her ala 1980's in that Norma Kamali knock off?  She should have taken a page out of the fitness model's portfolio and done some editorial shots and head shots, this photographer seemed to take the same sort of shots as the first one.

Loren and Alexie...I can't hate them.  They seem to have a normal relationship (except for the ever present hysterics from Loren) and I think Alexie is a stand up guy.

Think about it.  This is sex with Danielle.

With her even once is over the top. But my point was that Tom was trying to normalize it, like 'geez, guys aren't animals that can get it on  constantly'...paraphrasing there. First, he wasn't comparing apples to apples. There is a big difference between one time ever and all the time. Secondly, he wasn't addressing the elephant in the room, which is the reason it only happened once. Mo is not attracted to Daniel, to put it mildly. Totally repulsed would be more accurate. So instead of sounding silly, defending Mo by a lame excuse, tell her the hard truth. Mo is a snake. But as a mother, anytime I see a woman put some piece  of man meat before her children, it sickens me. She's lower than dirt now.

Tom's full of it.

As far as he knew, Mohammed was traveling around the country for business. Uh...because he's a career guy? Or because Daniel made enough money for him to afford to travel further than Walmart? Even dim Daniel didn't buy that bologna and Tom is almost certainly more astute than she is.

Having sex ONCE, 3 months after the marriage is extremely abnormal. Unless his wee wee fell off. So for Tom to defend that as normal (because men don't need to have sex all the time) is ridiculous. I get WHY Mo doesn't want to get it on with his wife, we all do. But come on, don't try and make her out like she's a sex maniac for wanting it more than once.

Tom is on point telling Daniel to put her energy into her girls, and staying off SM. But he wasn't neutral by any means. If he was, he would admit Mo is a cheater/user and Daniel is crazy.

I think m knew that he had to have sex with her once so she could never claim the marriage wasnt consummated. he wouldnt even kiss her on their wedding day. blech!!

It depends on where you live. There are some inland suburban areas that you can easily live on 60K. We are talking condos and cookie cutter homes. But I am assuming that Pao would not put up with that, she wants to be on Miami Beach or close to downtown Miami where the clubs are.. It looks like they are living in an vacation rental, which makes no sense at all. OTOH, Russ needs to recognize that working at a pay cut may bring in less money than his last job, but some $$ is better that zero $ and he has been unemployed for a year, which looks really bad on a resume. He needs to take that job ASAP. Plus it probably includes benefits, like health insurance, which is something they need. If they want to live well, then Pao needs to get a FT job doing something while her "modeling career" starts bringing in an equivalent salary. That's how we roll in the USA Pao.

I also took a good look at Pedro's sister, after all the speculation that they are not brother and sister and damn, they look like twins. Just look at her face. It's like a female Pedro.

This.  Pedro keeps saying that it’s part of his culture to take care of his family.  That is admirable, but to a certain extent.  Let’s get real; if his wife was also Dominican and hailed from Washington Heights or the Bronx, there is no way in heck she would allow him to send $500 to DR every month, while they live in a studio apartment.  No way.  Nicole is an ingrate with a nasty attitude.  She is clearly jealous of Chantel.

It's so nice to know that now that Russ has a job, Pao can go to Colombia to visit her family (and party with the asshole bestie, I'm sure).  What a selfish thing to say. Your're supposed to be working your ass off for that great dream career you think is around the corner, bitch. You're getting older every day. No time for traveling and partying in Colombia. It's got to be all about her, all the time.  Why doesn't she just speed her career path along and go straight for the nude magazines and that nude internet modeling for money stuff?  We all know that's where she's headed.

If Mo thinks he's going to get anywhere in the American judicial system with that attitude, he's surely going to lose. Idiot. Listen to the attorney.  I just came from a court appearance (work related and we won), let me tell you the judge didn't put up with one single smart ass remark, arguing or defensive attitude. State your shit calmly and speak only when the Judge asks you to speak. Mo is so done.

I want to know how much money is Pedro sending the family every month? is it $50 or $500 ,$1,000? As far as I'm concerned it's all about the amount he is sending them.  And not telling his wife about it, of course.

As I have said many times before, this show does not depict typical K-1 visa applicants. Most of us who went through the process dated our spouses for many years-even lived with them and had children. Our relationships with our spouses are as solid as anyone else's.

ETA My husband came here on a K1 for me and our son, not for a better way of life. He is from the UK-which has the highest number of K1 applicants. His life was already good. Again, this show depicts rare cases, not average.

I understand why you're taking umbrage. I hope you won't take things too personally, though. I think most of us realize that the people on this show are the stupid people who haven't been in these relationships very long and have done none of the expensive/difficult things you and your husband did. The people on this show are not representative of the majority of people in relationships where a K1 visa is needed. Just like the HoWives aren't representative of women in this country (overall) or rich women (in particular).

The way mother Chantel enunciated, "stuuupid Ameeerrrricans," annoyed the hell out of me.  Yes, mother Chantel, you are a stuuupid Ameeerrrrican, are you surprised that someone finally called you out on that? That said, I think that family Chantel and family Pedro deserve each other. Pedro's family is shady, but that doesn't mean that Chantel's is much better. They're way too involved in their adult daughter's situation. She is her late 20s for God's sake. What is it with the infantilizing of grown ass adults these days? Chantel lied to her family. She is more to blame for that than Pedro. It's not as if she's some innocent, gullible teen who went along with some crazy scheme put upon her by some older, swarthy man. She is fully complicit in this entire situation, not an innocent princess-victim.

Pedro and Chantel are doomed.  Their families are too involved in their marriage.    I dont like either one of their families. They should do themselves a favor and divorce before Chantel gets pregnant and has Pedro's baby.   Walmart Tom speaks the truth.  Crazy Danielle talking about how Mo hurt her children. Seriously...that woman needs to be somewhere in round the clock therapy cause surely she's got a mental problem.  Pao is a booty model.  Is that her big dream?  Guess someone has to do it.  I dont see why Pao cant get a job waiting tables and have her modeling career on the side.  She is acting like her "modeling" gigs bring in real money.
