Malcolm was brought up originally.  They wanted to get rid of a strong physical threat, so Malcolm made sense.  They weren't going to get rid of JT since they probably hope he'll survive to be reunited with them.

Culpepper's voting confessional confirms he's super, duper sexist.  Sandra's won twice, she's the most dangerous person there!

I think the fact that she won twice makes her the LEAST dangerous person there.  She is dangerous in that she can screw up other people's games, especially in her own tribe.  But there is no way the jury will vote her her 3rd million, especially with her arrogant "I'm the Queen!" act

Is it a bummer to see pretty Malcolm go and smug Sandra stay? Sure. Is Brad still a boorish asshole? Absolutely. ("Hey, blue eyes, blue eyes!" Her name is Hali, you sexist fuck.) Nonetheless, my trembling hands during tribal indicate it was a balls-awesome episode!!

As arrogant as Sandra is, it might be more fun to see her unacknowledged king taken out and realize she's vulnerable than it would have been to see her walk tonight. Taking out the strongest, even near-unbeatable, competitor on the other side was an excellent play.

As much as I enjoy coffee, one thermos as second place? Um, woo hoo?

JT loves making dumbass moves, apparently he hasn't learned from his idiocy the last time he played. Why in the hell are they keeping Sandra in?? Why when you have the chance to get rid of a 2x winner you don't vote for her. Ugh. See this is the reason why I'm not actively rooting for anyone this season so far. They all need to be voted off. Don't even get me started on Culpepper if I say what I want to say about him I'll get banned from this site.

I agree.  She's the goat you should be dragging to the end. As a former winner, I can't believe JT doesn't see that.

Honestly Malcolm should hold his head high. This was basically the equivalent of drawing rocks for all the confusion.

They will if she goes to F3 with two people the jury is bitter towards and I bet that's just what she'll do.

I honestly don't remember the last time I was THIS disappointed with a reality show. Why, Malcolm? Why?! It was great TV but why??

I thought he was getting the winner's edit treatment but now I see the editors wanted to get him in as much as possible in these first three weeks before he got the unexpected boot. I doubt he would come back for a fourth attempt (looking at you, Ozzy).

I don't think there is any way Sandra wins a third time. I'm almost feel like Hali, who was such a nonentity her first season, is getting way too much focus. Maybe she ends up winning. But I'm worried about my girl Aubri who has been practically invisible up to this point.

It was a crappy end result but but oh so entertaining leading up to it. You got me, Probst. You got me.

I thought that was pathetic that Sierra leaned over and kissed Malcolm.  Lucky for her Tai's a moron and saved her ass.  Otherwise she and her worthless ass would have gotten the boot.

Malcolm was in the clear until JT screwed up, and Tai went looking for an idol and (shocker!) found it.  Maybe if he openly said he wouldn't use it on someone in his tribe they would have made it a little harder.

I wouldn't try to drag her to the end, because I would be afraid she would blindside me before we got there.  But, if I got to the end and she was sitting next to me I would be happy about it.

She won the second time so why not the third? I would not want to keep her around.

Exactly, she could orchestrate blindsides and possibly win immunity challenges if she makes it to the merge. So would be best to get rid of her sooner rather than later.

Sandra's never been voted out.  It's uncontested that she's the most dangerous player.  The fact that she's made it this far AGAIN only proves it AGAIN.  I really don't like her personality, but that I do believe.

Every year, someone is shown being the only person on their tribe thinking about the idol, the only person shown spending hours looking for the idol, and then finding it. Inevitable reaction: "This is fixed."  LOL.  "Fake news!"

Yeah, that was ... unlikely.  Given how it played out, it makes me doubly suspicious.  That said, the TC was pretty interesting.  Well played, producers.

But he didn't vote for Sandra, unless I missed something?

This episode was everything. That tribal was so incredible.

Time for some unpopular opinions.

Brad Culpelpper is running this shit like a boss. So so good. That was next level shit he pulled on JT. And did you see him at that reward challenge? My jaw dropped. So hot.

I love Sandra. I do not want her to go home anytime soon. Her edit is odd because she's never controlled shit, except maybe in her own mind.

I like Sierra and don't think she did anything wrong or annoying.

And Malcolm was clearly the smart choice to take out, no matter what JT wants us to think. It was especially delicious that JT tried to set up Sandra to go home without getting any blood on his hands, only to lose his right hand man instead. I live!!

And based on what we know about her social game, I have no doubt she could win again if she made it to F3. That's why these people are fools if they keep her around.

I think there is a good possibility that Tai found that in a previous episode and they just used the footage of him finding tonight because it was more dramatic. But I could be wrong.

I'm not really surprised Tai showed it to everyone, because Tai is not a good player, IMO,  but I am always dumbfounded when anyone who has an idol shows it to anyone else, ever.  I guess Tai is thinking of the team, but the team is a fleeting thing. They can switch them at the drop of a hat.  I know numbers matter in a merge, but still -- it's an individual game.   Keep that shit to yourself, for yourself.

Since I question how much production interferes, I wonder if the castaways are encouraged to share it with someone for drama's sake.  I know they can't force them to, but I can see where they assume it might make for better TV if at least one other person knows.  Then there's always the question if that person will use it on their ally, or get outed.

I didn't at first, but I guess it makes sense.  Hali needs to try and stay in the good graces of Mana, and hope someone will flip if they lose again.  They don't know if/when there's going to be another swap or when the merge will happen, so she might be stuck with them for awhile.  She can at least argue she didn't out Tai's idol, and it ended up saving Sierra so they kept their numbers.

Sandra is my favorite just because she is  STILL underestimated. I was terrified she was going home because she is getting so arrogant, but I think she's trying to be the goat that's dragged to the end and trying to choose her two worse people in order to win her third.

Brad is an amazing player when he's not being a sexist jerk. And apparently he's a very liberal democrat, so depressing when even the liberal guys are sexist.

i noticed Michaela being so impressed by Brad in thatchallenge. I love her, and I feel like it was a "game recognizes game" moment. I want Michaela to work with Sandra and for her to stay far far away from Brad.

Between the TC and the Brad worship during the RC, I didn't think Probst could take much more.

Agreed.  Idols are really ruining this show and taking any sort of game play out of it.  And it does seem convenient anymore that those who need it most suddenly find it.  I'm waiting for the day where there's a convenient super idol out there for a producer's pet that can be used again and again and again until the final 3-and hey, they make it and win!

They are saving that for Boston Rob's return.

Well darn it. I didn't think Malcolm had a chance of winning, but I like his snark, and he misses making the jury.

How these people continue to keep Sandra in the game is drives me nuts.

Tai and JT can both eff off.

Yeah I'm sure some thought the same when she made it to the end in Heroes vs. Villains. And then she won. Personally, I'd be happy to reward Sandra another million if I was on the jury because I would never vote for the people who were stupid enough to let her get that far again, knowing that she's won the game twice.

She won the 2nd time because she was sitting next to Russell Hantz and his henchwoman.  It is not like Sandra has somw magical power to make juries vote for her.

She is the best player the game has had thus far with the best record... it's very simple... The way the game works, she is the best at it...

That's a tough blow losing Malcolm as he was easily one of the most likable returnees and worthy of being brought back as opposed to someone like Zeke who I can still not fathom why he would be returned and so quickly at that. Still better than losing Michalea....glad she wasn't suggested. I was worried she would draw attention to herself next week by accusing J.T. but I went back and rewound and he did INDEED spill the beans about Sierra.

Some questionable editing exists when before the last 15 minutes of the show Sierra was tied with Sarah in this season's invisible edit...and then out of nowhere she is the big bad threat to be voted out? At least lay some ground work that indicates she would merit that.

I never really bought into the whole Jeff has man crushes but after tonight I am a convert because he was practically orgasmic when Culpepper knocked the pegs down and caught up to Troyzan.

Speaking of Jeff I do wonder how many more times he's going to bring his buddy Ozzie back until he wins.

Even if Sandra, gets voted out next.  She is still impressive.  I mean she survived 3 tribal councils (when she should hands down be the first one voted off).  Richard and Tina couldn't do that in the first all stars.

JT of course repeating history, by making another stupid mistake.  Hilariously though, he is the first perfect winner ( no votes against, all jury votes).

I'm not particularly a Tai and Brad fan or non-fan, but one of my favorite moments was in the challenge when in a very calm voice Brad told Tai, who was so very, very far behind, to "just relax, Tai -- I can catch up" or something to that effect.  And by God, Brad did.  That was so cool to watch.

I really liked him during that moment with Tai. I know I loathed him in his first season but I'm struggling to remember why. Although I did want to smack him when he kept calling Hali "Blue eyes" She has a name, dude!

JT is an idiot. (And also a sexist douche from what I remember). He's very lucky he had Fishbach to help him win.

Random thing I've always wondered: Do you think Jeff tapes his cutesy (eye roll) little end-of-TC speeches after and they just edit it to look like the players are reacting to him? You never see anyone else in the shot and I refuse to believe Probst comes up with these little soundbites just off the top of his head.

I liked Sandra her first season, was neutral on her her second one, but loathe her this season. Such a bully (although I did love it when she iced Tony the first week.)

I haven't seen Sandra bully anyone at all.

They edit the hell out of tribal council. All the eye rolls and reaction shots from the players may not necessarily occur when they show them occurring. Its most likely true with Jeff as well.

I know they love to shake things up and try to keep it fresh, but this? This was the Fonze on water skis going a thousand miles an hour. What a cheap freaking twist just to create buzz and drama. And that was my opinion the second he said 2 tribes and 1 vote.

All these years later, Survivor continues to deliver.  I had NO idea what was going to happen at that vote.   I didn't really care for Malcolm but I'm back to hating Sandra so I guess I'm sorry he's gone.

Older Ozzy has not missed a step.  Still impressive as ever.

I would've bet ANYTHING that Michaela was going to compete in the Reward Challenge.  I wonder how they kept her benched?  I really felt for Troyzan.  Talk about a choke.  Have a seat next to the Falcons, Troy.

J.T.  Bless his heart.  He ain't built for this level of Survivor.

Cannot wait until next week!
