Has a PR worm been in Derelict's ear? Since when has he used the Jessa mode of cute baby pictures on his social media?

Ahh, I knew it wouldn't be long before they started pimping out pictures of their kids. Not the waterworks I expected but this a close second.

Okay, why does the baby (Sammy) always have mittens on - are they hiding something? Does he have webbed fingers? extra fingers? Missing fingers?

I don't know why, but I seem to remember his hands being visible in his first-born pic, and to me they looked OK.

I hope it's not some punitive thing.  Nah, he's too young to be manipulative like his bro!  Right, Dillweed?

He's probably one of those babies that scratches himself all the time. I think I've seen his hands before and they looked fine to me.

Jesus Christ. Is that another black eye on this child?

Looks like it, but I'd feel better thinking it was the angle of the shot.  Again, Dillweeds should look before they post.

They really should test him for allergies, but is he even insured? Derelict tried to get DONATIONS for insurance earlier this year, but I suspect it was for Jill to cover another botched delivery.

Izzy may have his shots since he lived in DA, but who knows what he's covered for beyond that. Even if they have Scamaritan, we ould they approve an allergy panel?

Ok, Jill needs to tell a tearful story about how she got a mild case of gas while on DA. Jessa can post 500 new pictures from her wedding, and Jinger can post cideivdim wet T-shirt day at the baptizing pool, abd the attention Balance is restored.

Maybe baby Sam accidently grabbed his little weenie. The devil makes work for idle hands you know. Can't have Sam be a sinner baby like his big brother.

I think it would blow their minds to know that baby male fetuses have been observed masturbating in the room via ultrasound. Jill has given birth to boys…

I am really worried about this little family.  It seems like I am watching a tragedy in the making.  An ID channel documentary, if you will.  I really think someone needs to intervene with Derrick before something goes horribly wrong.   Mr Duggar, pay attention!  This is your favorite daughter and she's not happy!

I agree. But someone needs to intervene like NOW.

Ok hear me out.  As an atheist I might not know much about god and righteous unfulfilled desires but here goes.  If God didn't want men to fiddle below the belt he would not have given them hands and the ability to reach that low.  See God wants you to to do it!  Fiddling for Jesus!

As a Christian  I find that super funny.

Jill has actually been put in a worse position now that Derick has committed to a year-long course ministering to college students.  Jill is definitely out of her element there since she never went to high school, let alone college.  She has to hop along beside Derick and mingle with academic young women who will not be impressed with a piece of banana cake.  She's bound to develop an inferiority complex. Not to mention the fact that none of the young coeds adhere to the Duggar family dress code and all of them have pre-pregnancy bodies.  She may end up longing for the days when she was the center of attention in Central America with the big white baby.

Those comments on twitter are awesome.

I had a good laugh.  I don't know why he puts himself up for ridicule like that though. Does he use this to feed his martyrdom? The more snark, the more persecuted he can claim he is?

Jim Boob needs to put a stop to this and give Derick a stern talking to. Derick is all kinds of messed up and he's becoming more and more unhinged.

Derick would have to do something pretty terrible for JB to even take notice. Unless it impacts JB personally, I don't think he gives a darn. All Derick is doing at this time is preaching a bunch of nonsense. Jeremy and Bin have insulted other religions without a whimper from him. Now, if Jill gets kicked off the show because TLC has had enough of Derick then you'll hear JB roar. It's all about the money.

I think I'd pay money to see Dr. Dre and Icecube get ahold of Pastor D.

They are both could enlighten him on a lot.

I'd also pay to see Dreck's face when listening to some old-school NWA for the first time.

At first I had forgotten about Jill's mad baking skillz and thought you were referring to Jill herself as a piece of banana cake. I thought it sounded about right.

I can see it.  That channel is a guilty pleasure that I can actually tell my headship about.  Duggars not so much.

I think I would prefer Ice T.  Coco can mingle with Jill while the headships are fellowshipping.

Derick invited everyone from NWA to his c3 get together. I wonder if this comment went completely over his head. Good God, quit embarrassing yourself.

Geez, that was honestly my first thought, too!! LOL. I thought wow, even BEN probably would not have issued that invite. ?????

I don't feel sorry for Derelict at all. I hate him for driving his little family into the ground because he can't hold a job. And yes, that includes getting fired from SOS.

Note that no Duggars did their summer missioncations. Yes, the Dullards were home by then, but not a peep from DFO humblebragging even after the fact. JoKen's mission trip was not thru SOS. I forget the exact country that they went to, but it wasn't one of SOS's.

Seriously its becoming so its not even fun to snark on the Dillard's anymore.  I just feel bad for all four of them.

I hear you! I was thinking Jill this morning. I wonder if she has PTSD from being molested by Josh the Creep and from not getting the help she needs. Derick drives me bonkers, but I can relate to his dental problems. Between the periodontal disease, TMJ, the dental work itself, the cost, and trying to find money for more dental work, I am ready to put an out of order note on my forehead and call it a day. Yes, I do joke about it, but at least I am not in his world where not allowed to have a good  normal sense of humor and believing the devil is taking over and not being able to reach out to others is the message of the day.

Whyyyyyyy does he keep opening himself up to such ridicule and abuse.

I can only shake my head in disbelief , because I have no words ?

Notice, though, that once again he was citing a very famous, big-name church "leader" and "expert," John Piper. Piper has tons to say on masturbation -- as here -- http://www.desiringgod.org/articles/if-your-right-hand-causes-you-to-sin

I think that with Der -- and Jer, who has made his own big-time public pronouncement against masturbation -- it's partly projection of their own futile struggles against this thing that they've been told is a big sin.

But I also think the fact that the Calvinist big-wigs that male Duggar-adjacents 1, 2, and 3 all repeatedly suck up to is really significant. I'm sure they see "bravely" speaking out against stuff that the big-name conservative Christians condemn as being a potential road up for them. They don't make this stuff up. They follow the lead of the guys that they aspire to be. And I expect they think that since their Duggar-adjacency gives them many more youTube and Twitter followers than other aspiring young "Christian leaders," the high holy men may notice and reward them for helping out with the crusades.

The whole point of this brand of Christianity these days is to be contrarian to most of society because Piper et al figure that most of society is doomed and dooming the country. And since Der (and Bin and Jer) crave to have a career path like Piper's (and their other role models'), I doubt they're troubled by ridicule and abuse from the ungodly masses. That's martyrdom, which leads to blessedness, actually.

The demographics of religion may doom their dreams, but I actually think they see this kind of stuff as career moves. I mean, if you're in a field where the leaders say XYZ, and you want to be one of those leaders one day, you're very very likely to say XYZ as well. And say it as publicly as possible so the bigwigs can notice you. They really don't care what people like us think.

10. One’s thoughts and actions display what one treasures. It’s impossible to say, “Follow me in masturbation as I follow Christ.”

I dunno, you'd probably get a lot of church members....

I just wish they would spend their time railing (if they must) against killing and whatever other sins are listed in the Trn Commandments, rather than bother with stuff that didn't even make the top ten. Or weren't really addressed at all in the Bible.

"From a biblical perspective, however, I do not believe this approach pleases God..."

I glanced through the article, however it appeared to have a lot of interpretation with cited biblical passages. For you Bible readers, does the Bible say anything actually mentioning masturbation? I've heard of the 'spilling of seed' and the story telling one brother to impregnate his SIL. And do they only speak of men masturbating?

I'm honestly perplexed about this.

Bible doesn't say anything that I know of, other than the "spilling seed" incident. Piper's making his best case. And as you notice, he has to use a ton of verses that seem to say nothing at all about it. .....

This crew really discounts women and women's sexuality and so on. I don't think it ever crosses most of their minds that women do this too (well, except when they're having a porn dream of some sort ...but I'm sure they try not to let their porn dreams interfere with their moral pronouncements. lol). The idea that women could self-pleasure is just too too threatening (and arousing, at the same time, probably) for this gang of patriarchal wannabes to rant about it, I would guess .....Possible that they leave this to the womenfolk morality police in womenfolk-only venues, but I kind of doubt it gets talked about much there, either.

I'm sure there's parenting advice that tells people what to do if they come upon kids touching themselves -- and that both sexes are probably implied in that .... But when it comes to adult behavior, all I've ever heard raved about is men. I'm pretty sure JB and M didn't line up a female haranguer to give a Jer-style sermon to the Duggarlettes, for example.

Well okay then, they all need to stop perseverating about masturbation and maybe focus on some real biblical message.

I think the standard Christian masturbation anti-view argument, is a batch of things strung together to say that any sexual outlet other than marital sex is wrong, specifically because it's deadening and desensitizing your urge to get married in order to fulfill these sexual urges.  Thus think of the babies that aren't being born and the wedlock-sanctioned family unions you're not taking part in; because you're perfectly content potentially getting it on in solitude for years, as opposed to seeking a live human being to satisfy these urges within the bonds of holy matrimony.  And/or the desires you're arousing with the concomitant solo fantasies that might make it more difficult for any future live partners to live up to your fantasies.

Huh, I guess I'm doing marriage wrong because sex is only one factor in why I married my husband. And to think, I also continue to have sex without procreating. And shhh, don't tell anyone, but I on occasion have done the deed solo.

Please accept my apologies for not pleasing you in this part of my life God.

Yes, you're doing it wrong.

First of all, I'm willing to bet that you didn't marry a virtual stranger who you insist on calling your "best friend" over and over and over because you apparantly don't know what either of those words mean . . .

Secondly, I would also be willing to bet that you don't post dozens of pictures on social media every time your husband does even the tiniest little thing (handing you a cup of yogurt, cutting up fruit and putting it on a paper plate, etc.) and crowing to the world about the #besthusbandever.

Thirdly, I bet you don't quote the Bible to your friends and family as a way of one-upping them on how much better your husband is than theirs.

Fourthly, you have -- by your own admission -- had non-procreative sex. What's the point?

Fifthly, it wouldn't suprise me to learn that you wear pants, too. Do you know how emasculating that is to your husband?

Don't worry, there's still time to change! You, too, can be more like the Duggars!

Or you could just continue living a happy and productive life . . .

Derelict is posting more cute kid pics. But one nitpick: even if this is on Duggar property (and I imagine it is....note Joanna Gaines decor), shouldn't he at least be wearing some flip flops on that uneven surface?

Is he standing on mulch/wood chips?  Wouldn't that hurt his feet?  Couldn't he get a splinter?  Typical Duggar lack of common sense.
