What the heck are these people putting on their plates? (I get that "up to" are the important words here.) There’s also this weird commercial that says you save water by running your dishwasher every night, even if there’s like 4 items in it . WTF? Link to comment
CrazyInAlabama July 12, 2020 Share July 12, 2020 For some reason, the urine wicking device is showing their ad constantly for the last two days. I loathe hearing about it, the people on it remind me of someone I used to know, and that I didn't like. Also, I don't care if that Therawork stuff is effective or not, get Dr. Drew off my TV. 1 4 Link to comment
TattleTeeny July 12, 2020 Share July 12, 2020 When I first saw the pee-wicking device on TV, I was confused as to how it worked. Then I realized. THEN I screamed. TattleTeeny July 12, 2020 Share July 12, 2020 (edited) It actually reminded me of another drug commercial for something with the possible side effect of impulsive gambling (or compulsive; I am not 100% sure anymore). That one made me laugh because that is so specific and so confusing. I sort of understand how a drug may cause someone to become impulsive and/or compulsive in a general sense (by affecting the part of the brain that controls those things). But why/how that particular activity/behavior and not something else impulsive/compulsive (like shopping or lying or cleaning or counting)? If the person lives nowhere near a racetrack or casino, do they make up things to gamble on? Edited July 12, 2020 by TattleTeeny 1 4 1 Link to comment

Internet gambling: The global online gambling market size was valued at USD 53.7 billion in 2019 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.5% from 2020 to 2027. The high internet penetration and increasing use of mobile phones among individuals for playing online games from their homes and public places are driving the market. In addition, factors such as easy access to online gambling, legalization and cultural approval, corporate sponsorships, and celebrity endorsements are also contributing to market growth. The growing availability of cost-effective mobile applications across the globe is further expected to fuel market growth. -Grand View Research 1 Link to comment
TattleTeeny July 12, 2020 Share July 12, 2020 I think I saw this commercial before we (in Jersey, at least) became beset by online gambling. Do you have to be in the state where it's legal to do it?
