Yeah, I get that.  I meant *each other's* leftovers, which I thought was clear.

I have a bunch of leftovers in my frig. The chicken still looks good enough to eat, it's still moist. The milk smells alright, not sour yet. But the pizza is sort of old and shriveled up looking and the cheese on top has a rancid aroma. I would eat anything but that pizza. Without being graphic I like to be discerning about which leftovers I'd eat and which I'd toss in the trash. Personally, I wouldn't want any of Ramona or Luann's leftovers.

tumblr_inline_mz3pfcv3Ip1rdnp13.gif

Since I'm already talking about gross stuff, I tried to push that 'moist' comment that John made to the deeper recesses of my mind. But now I'm ready to bring it forward and address that. When he asked if the telephone was 'moist' when Tom was speaking to Luann on the phone, did he mean moist from her hot breath or from Luann's special  146428490495860?6308962242 talent?

Everyone got suddenly very quiet, Dorinda made a scrunched up repulsed face so I thought maybe it was the latter that he meant. If that's the image that the minds of men like John conjure up when thinking about Luann then I'd suggest to Luann that she cut down on fluids at least two hours before intimacy and start using the bathroom just prior to sex. It might help.

Dorinda:  "For me, this is my opportunity to really show who I am."  ... and an immediate cut to the Big Lots-esque Christmas decorations.  Then the camera person following the pooping dog around the house.   The editors clearly enjoy themselves sometimes.

Preview for next week looks like a goody:  "If no one can behave themselves, then you all go home. 'Cause I decorated, I cooked, I made it nice.  I'm  ashamed!"  Please, let this be Dorinda's new tagline next year.

I was trying to explain why the Christmas decorations tickled me so much to my long-suffering husband and he didn't get it.  I loved them.  They are her.  The pooping dog - I can't blame Dorinda for that.  If Ramona was any kind of person, she would have kept her dog on a leash near her the whole time.

I think it's hilarious that Lu kept saying Bethenny copied her hairstyle! I mean it's a little ridiculous because it is a very common haircut for women their age, but I love how much it drives Bethenny crazy to not be given complete credit for everything.

Saturday Night Live did a skit in a recent show about "mom hair" and when women have that moment when the switch flips and their long hair turns into Lu and Bethy hair.

Last season Bethenny and Carole were in an uproar when Ramona distracted the restaurant owner and commandeered him away from the Greek chorus consisting of Bethenny and Carole.   I thought it was stupid, as both Bethenny and Carole were in relationships and most establishment owners know how to escape the grasp of an overly possessive patron.  if the guy wanted to get away from Ramona or include Carole and Bethenny he could have. To hear them tell it Ramona was such a cock blocker.  Now this year Ramona is demanding that Luann ask permission before dating someone she had not dated in two months.  (Ramona claims they had six dates in August and September-Luann started dating him after Thanksgiving.)  Ramona claims the reason she moved on from Tom was because he had never been married, she wanted someone older with adult children who could understand her love of Avery. How it took six dates to determine that Tom had never married and had no children and he was 49 years old (ten years younger than Ramona)?

Again these women with their situational ethics and protocol.  Newsflash, men have minds of their own.

Is Tom 49? He does look closer to 49 than 58, which is what Lu said last night.

If Luann was disinvited, who would Bethenny have to start an argument with?  She gets along with all the other women there.

Dorinda.  Bethy likes to pontificate to Dorinda about John's unsuitableness.  And Ramona would jump on that argument instantly.

Bethy also likes to insult Jules and could easily try to break her down, maybe would have gone after her for caviar licking while giving Ramona a pass for doing the same thing.

So where's the fancy Christmas decoration place that Dorinda should have gotten her decorations from?  I've shopped at Harry & David and their decorations may not break after holiday use but they are no less kitschy.

If Bethenny were less of a harridan she could have just made a joke about the hair remark from Lu. I'm looking forward to Dorinda throwing everyone out of her house next week. I hope she kicks the cameras and producers out too delivering an epic "I quit" speech.

Some of her decorations came from Frontgate.  http://www.frontgate.com/holiday-decor/  Frontgate and Neiman Marcus carry a lot of the same holiday décor.  Their prices are not exactly Costco/Walmart prices.  A pre-lit tree runs about $1,000.00.  The little car with Santa is close to a $1,000.00.

I think Dorinda's Christmas decorations were a discussion topic last season, too.  Personally, I think that Christmas is the perfect time to use inexpensive decor. It's obvious that Dorinda ascribes to the "more is never enough" Christmas decorating rule - so why not?

I love Christmas decorations, whether they be from Target, the Christmas Tree Shoppes or Harry & David and Tiffany's or other high-end stores.  Some of my prettiest tree ornaments have been purchased from the stalls at Bryant Park, for less than half what I would pay elsewhere.

Was her decor a little tacky for some? Probably, but I love that she is proud of it!  I also LOVED the ceramic Christmas trees with the lights that were displayed on a sideboard in her dining room.  I made those for my Mom and Dad back in the late 70's when ceramic classes were a big thing, and I'm sorry I don't have them now.  Very nostalgic!  I would bet that some of those things hold very sentimental value to Dorinda.

I am not sure why Carole is leading the pack. . . I guess because she is mellow?  I don't think mentor is well described.

On the side of Luann, if one were talking to Sonja about realistic business ventures on a much smaller scale than Bethenny or Heather, Luann has had repeated success.  Not incredibly groundbreaking but she partnered with solid companies for her fashion and home line.  I can't say the same for Ramona because it always seems as if she drinks the profits from her wine, and she claimed to invest with Peter last year.  Luann's ex is an incredibly successful international financier.  If she imparts just a bit of her modest success wisdom on Sonja then she is ahead of the others.  When Sonja was in the mountains she whined about Luann's lucrative divorce settlement and monthly maintenance payments.  The thing is Sonja shoots to be as big as a Heather or Bethenny, equaling or surpassing Luann's endeavors would provide her with some much needed confidence and is very doable.  Luann's son even has a little side business and her daughter sells her art.  Small steps.  The other thing Luann has managed to do is keep a relationship with her ex.  He stays with her when she comes stateside.    Bethenny, Sonja, Ramona not so much on the cordiality with the exes.  It gives Sonja something to strive for.  A nice little six figure heck at the end of the year would certainly help Sonja.

My guess is Luann is angling (and should) for a wedding special.  A nice little three parter would probably be successful.  I am certain Sonja would love to be a part of it.

One of my biggest problems with Bethenny is that even when she's technically right, she always overplays her hand. She goes from zero to Sherman's March to the Sea in a split second with very little middle ground. Her desperate need to prove herself right is what undoes her because so many times viewers would be on her side if she just shut up and let things play out and let people hang themselves.

So much this. It's not often that I disagree with Bethenny. But damn, simma down girl. She goes at it too hard, her approach needs to be softened a bit.

I don't know how Dorinda got 2 wealthy men of means, one of which seemed a right scholar and gentleman, to marry her hood ass.

I know her ass wishes she was engaged and getting married.

It is really, really starting to bug me that all the housewives allow her to be entitled and oblivious. The bitch is literally teflon now.  She offers one of her simpering half ass apologies in her stilted weird ass way of speaking with her crazy eyes and all is forgiven. Shit, Ramona could have pulled down her pants and joined Coco in shitting on Dorinda's good rug with little to no hard feelings. Everybody would just shrug and say 'that's Ramona!" laugh and move on. Enough is Enough!

About Dorinda, seriously!  She's such a boozer, maybe the other husbands were too, just like John?

About the bolded part?  THANK YOU!  First real belly laugh in a while.  Also?  True!

The minimal Beth (for the most part) in this episode automatically made it the best one of the season so far, imo.

"I'm the one making out with everyone. Why worry about me?" This show needs Sonja.

So, instead of inviting the person who most agree is a good party guest, Dorinda chooses to invite the ones who live to make everyone and every event uncomfortable? Good move, Ex-Lax.

Loved the look on Beth's face when LuAnn shot her with the realness that she isn't as funny as she believes herself to be.

"Bethenny ordered Skinny Girl with Luann..."

Again, all she ordered was a classic margarita with premium (white) tequila and little triple sec - nothing all that special. And, assuming the bottled SG margarita doesn't contain Patrón and uses some kind of preservative, then it's not really the same "SG" cocktail that was ordered in the clip, anyway.

Love Sonja's comment that you could tell when a guy took Viagra because it was always up like a sundial.

Yes! I like Sonja so far this season. I hope we get a return to Season 3 Sonja, now that her financial affairs are in better order and she seems calmer. I was lamenting the lack of Ramonja's bond this season, but I like the easy camaraderie Sonja and LuAnn have together.

Aside from John's weird comment ("was the phone moist?"), it was nice seeing a group dinner where no one was yelling, throwing a glass, or throwing a person who wasn't there under the bus.

Not surprised that Ramona's tone-deafness extends to bringing her dog to someone else's home and giving her free reign. Surely she knows Coco (?) isn't fully housebroken.

If I had as much money, success, and fame as Bethenny and had to be such a nasty, vile, demeaning bitch to my friends, I'd rather be a regular person.

I pity someone with so much unleashed anger and resentment. Nothing could satisfy that woman. I used to be a fan, but I'm officially done with her. What a mean piece of work. Sonja couldn't hurt a fly even if she wanted to and the Countess was trying to have a civil conversation. And yet, Bethenny just couldn't put the knife down. She went for the attack just like she did with John at her birthday.

Ramona and her dog parenting skills are disgusting. I would much rather have brought Sonja and disinvited Ramona and B.

Go Lu! Like Ramona ever followed girl code. Please.

Agreed. I can't believe how vicious Bethenny has become this season. She should be happier than last season. She has a beautiful renovated apartment . Isn't she dating someone this year?. Why get so nasty with Luann over the origins of her margarita? Doesn't Bethenny realize that by being so hostile with everyone, she is damaging her brand?

I have to say I didn't find Bethenny's comments to Luann all that bad. In fact I laughed at her comment of Luann mentoring Sonia like the blind leading the deaf. And contrary to Luann saying that Beth was the only one laughing Ramona, Dorinda and Jules were as well.

I found most of the HoWives disgusting in their own way in this epi. Ramona for not taking responsiblity for her dog, (poor doggy to be owned by someone so BSC) and (not surprising) leaving out why she was asked to leave John's party. Dorinda for not inviting Sonia to her Christmas party - that was just rude. The funniest part of the whole epi for me was the preview when Dorina says she is ashamed of the ladies for ruining her party while hoisting a wine (I think) bottle in the air. Dorinda has been around long enough to know that all parties are ruined at some point - and more often than not by her.

I didn't even find John's comment all that horrific since all these women do is talk about sex. Ad nauseam. I did find Tom's reaction to Luann and Dorinda putting down Ramona interesting. He even rolled his eyes at one point. Maybe Ramona is the one who dumped him? In any case two apparently desperate-for-a-relationship people getting engaged after two and half months does not bode well. Heck, Luann and Tom have been engaged for a longer period of time now that they were dating. I wonder how Luann would feel if either of her kids brought someone home they had been dating for 10 weeks and announced they were getting married? I hope it works out but I think the odds are against them.

So he is proving Bethenny's point?  Bethenny named all the ingredients and flat out said "I call it the skinny girls margarita" Luann then said "alright I have that; the skinny girl margarita" How does that make Skinny Girl Luann's idea? She didn't make a statement; it sounded like a question "it's a skinny girl margarita? OK"

But if that is the case then Luann really did give it the name.  If Bethenny called it "skinny girls margarita" then Luann called it "skinny girl" and it ended up being called Skinny Girl there you go.

If I recall correctly, didn't this whole ridiculousness actually start with Heather, who told Luann that Bethenny should at least have given her a car (instead of a percentage of the profits) for coming up with the name?  From there, Luann took that and ran with it.

I agree though, that Luann does it just to piss off Bethenny - and, imo, good for Luann!!!   :-)

So either Luann exaggerated her involvement or Bethenny's sour that when people talk about her brand that they would even dare to recall that Luann had something to do with it. Is this a case of Bethenny simply not liking that others are giving Luann any kind of credit...even though she already did so in a book no less?

Ramona is an idiot. She is the biggest offender of the group that needs to work on herself.  The way she retold the event with John is an example of how delusional she is. She left out that Luann left because the guy was harassing her and she felt uncomfortable. She left out the part that John asked the guy to leave because he was making one of his guests uncomfortable. She forgot to mention that her reaction wasn't nearly as calm as how she repeated her. The moment John asked the guy to leave, Ramona turned around and made a scene from the jump. Sonja is right, for all Ramona's talk about what Sonja would do to her image, associating with Ramona and her antics isn't great for anyone's image either.

I think that Ramona has this amazing ability to imagine that she is a victim in all events, conversations, and blow-outs she is in. Then she believes what she imagined is actually true. I think she replayed the John situation as her just innocently talking to a guy and John, in a jealous rage, threw him out in her mind. And now she thinks it's true. It's actually a really good quality to have because those people rarely get depressed-- they can write their own biography. She imagines Sonja being really drunk and men in and out of her house, and then believes it's really happening.

I got the impression when Bethanny first got to the birkshires that she was sort of "wired." Not drugs, not not drugs, but she came charging in, banged open the door and just seemed extra anger explosive. She is a real pill. It took her no time to start a major fight with LuAnn (who was trying her best to be a good sport about Bethanny's hostile comments) until she just couldn't stand it anymore. LuAnn-- her default is calm and collected. It takes her awhile to get worked up. Bethanny's default is worked up-- she needs a lot to calm down. She's acted manic for the last two episodes.

Incidentally, they also serve it out of the tin at the restaurant.

Somewhere, Jill Zarin is hissing, "I tried to tell ya'll about Bethenny, motherfuckaaaaas."

However, I'll always side with Bethenny in regards to Jill. That was probably one of the few times Bethenny legit tried to apologize and make up, but Jill was being petty and cut her off.

Someone upthread mentioned that they'd rather be a regular person than rich and an asshole (paraphrasing), and I'm with you. Bethenny will never be chill and enjoy her success because she's so damn miserable. I was never a fan of "I'ma tell it like it is, not tell it how it might be" type of people. In some instances, it's valid, but most of the time, being brutally honest is a disguise for being a bitch. That's why I never warmed up to Ramona, and Bethenny lost me, too. Ramona will forever be on my shit-list for how she embarrassed this poor girl a couple of seasons ago that she interviewed for a job. Ramona made comments about her acne. I've been through with her rude ass ever since.

Back to Bethenny being a rich asshole, though. I shouldn't be surprised since everybody knows (Phaedra Parks voice) that most rich people are terrible humans. Steve Jobs was brilliant, but a complete fucking nightmare to work with. Leona Helmsley earned her Queen of Mean nickname.

Jules is harmless, and I don't dislike her, but she needs to pull it together, communication-wise. I'm like, if you want to fuck with the eagles, you have to learn how to fly.

This might be unpopular, but I don't dislike John, either. He can definitely be too much, and that "moist" joke didn't make any sense, but he seems to adore Dorinda, though I don't know why. She's obviously skeeved by him. I actually think he can do better. I don't think Dorinda and Luann are that different. Both have humble beginnings, yet try to act as if they've been part of the UES world since birth. Whereas, John might be rich, but he's still straight up outerborough. No shade, I'm outerborough, too (Brooklyn, stand up!) John and Dorinda's relationship reminds me of The Addams Family sequel when Debbie tried to class up Uncle Fester and it was a huge fail.

⭐  With the SKINNY (GIRL), I duuno and don't give a ______.                                          Buuuut...seemingly, LuAnn views the occurrence as follows: Originally, Bitchenney used wording in the phrase "...a skinny girl[']s margarita..." as detailing the manner in which she likes a margarita to be prepared. The words were used to describe THE PREPARATION of the alcoholic beverage. Whereas, upon ordering a magarita fashioned the same, LuAnn used the NAME, SKINNYGIRL, as a proper noun, hence, she believes the moniker attributable to her. LuAnn surmises that she originated THE USE of SkinnyGirl as proper noun--a NAME, a 'trademark'. Therein lies the contradiction of viewpoints.                                                 True not true. Whatever. No matter.       Bethenney is THE rich b?tch and one best not forget it. Cuz, um, woe to those who do...

⭐  With these women, grotesque wretched behaviors run rife.                                                   Mere words on this plane of known HUMAN existence canNOT convey the What The F_ _kness that is RAMONA, BETHENNEY, and [sony?]. None of these women are classy (And, no. Uh, uh, Dorinda is absolutely NOT too classy for John-- N.O.T.).  However, their hubris, vile behaviors, uncouth 'personas', astounding ignorance, and rank elitism does vary.

⭐  Bethenney's propensity for assailing others would be attenuated if others were ALLOWED to see and discuss her life--her facets and foibles-- just as she enjoys fiddling with theirs while orchestrating and executing misery. It's simple and, oh, so sad ego-boosting to shred others when she knows for certain that those others canNOT do the same to her. She's a definite bully and a sometimes semi[ish] sadist. Bethenney revels in her almost psychotic behavior. Tsk, tsk, ('she be') rather sick.

⭐  Wow. Some are going hard at depicting LuAnn as meretricious. Although, personally disliking her, hopefully, her 'engagement' survives the deliberate onslaught. Mmm, probably not, though.

⭐  Golly, Ramona. Ramona!  Literally--Clean Up Your Sμ¡+ .                                                          ?"You're so vain (, a proven liar, an intentionally malicious gossip, and a faux friend feigning allegiance). I bet you think this (show) is (only) about you. Don't you. Don't you❓"?

⭐ Carol, LuAnn is not the bane of your forced-hipster life. Get a damn grip.

⭐  Jules, we don't have forever and a day...so, GET TO THE POINT ❗

For what it's worth, my understanding is that sturgeon caviar is not strictly Kosher. Makes me give Jules major side eye because no way was that not Ossetra caviar she was eating off of Ramona's blinis.

Had to look up the word "meretricious."  Increasing my word power!

Agree with Sheenieb that I would always side with Beth over Jill Zarin any day.  Jill and Lu were horrid to Beth that season.

I think Luanne is one of, if not the most beautiful RHONY.  However, I will never forget her treatment of others in earlier seasons, so I do agree that she is stealth.  I hope it works out with her new guy.
