Erika Girardi/Erika Jayne: Let them eat cake

I just realized that the only times I have liked Erika or anything she had to say, it was in her confessionals. When she interacts with others, she is pretty boring and bland  except when she is losing her temper and acting ratchet. If she doesn’t know what to say, she acts cold and condescending, which intimidates others. But, in her confessionals, she is often witty and Entertaining. This has led me to believe that her confessionals are scripted by someone other than her. I bet some of that stolen money went to a writer to script her confessional zingers, because I am pretty sure those lines did not come from her.

Bravo really has a great way of misreading their audience. People are tuning in to watch her downfall and in shock of what a horrible human being she is. We don’t want to watch when she has no consequences for all her actions, which is what Bravo is giving them for rewarding her with another season.

As another poster said, if she gets that raise, hopefully she will have it all garnished.

Erika was not popular like Teresa Guidice was (which I don’t understand personally).

Maybe one of the lawyers here can clarify, but I think the court can stipulate that her wages (all? a certain percentage?) be garnished to pay back the stolen money. That makes what Andy and Bravo did even more disgusting. This chick is NOT a charity case; she is NOT innocent here; and she deserves financial help from NO ONE. She benefitted from literal pain and suffering for years. High time she felt some of that as well.

Talk about rewarding bad behavior…

I won’t watch next season if Erika returns either - only tuned in this season to see how her case was handled by the cast. But it’s been sickening to watch the cowards suck up to a raving bully and fail to support those who dared to question.

Bravo and Andy should save their money to buy a few clues.

It’s sad, but I’m looking forward to watching the reunion like I’d look forward to a root canal. I’m undecided if I’ll gut it out, or watch it later.

Tells me all I need to know. Andy, you are killing this network with this kind of crap.

I believe that the max amount of garnishment per paycheck is 25% of the person’s disposable income, so 25% of what’s left after taxes, etc.

I will not watch next season like I stopped NY.  Neither are entertaining and at this point Erika is literally making money off of widows and orphans as is Bravo Bravo Fucking Bravo and I am out.

EXACTLY!  THEY'RE PROFITING OFF OF THOSE VICTIMS' STORIES AND WHAT ERIKA DID TO THEM!  IT'S DISGUSTING!  IT'S UNCONSCIONABLE!

If Bravo paid her salary directly to the victims I might watch, otherwise, no can do.

I believe this is the end for me as well. I can't stomach it any more, and don't want to be part of putting money in her pocket and supporting her massive, misplaced ego.

I will read here, but then I enjoy the hilarious comments, different perspectives, and beautiful snark here more than I usually enjoy the show!

Same here. 👆
I think they’re all acting. It’s like a soap and I quit those in the 80’s. Y’all are much more clever and entertaining 💋

I'm sure this has been referenced, but since Bravo's B-roll has been subpoenaed, I'm fairly sure the network will do an in-depth cost/benefit analysis to determine whether they'll invite Erika back next season.

Sure, her presence boosted ratings.  (I, for one, tuned in to see the train wreck!). But gaathering together all those editing room floor snips has gotta be a lot of aggravation.

I was wondering today about the timing of things--do any of the suits against Erika (or that she's named in) have court dates at this point and what is the timing of when Bravo begins filming the new season? I was wondering if Erika would be found guilty on any of those suits (or liable? I'm not an attorney, lol) before the filming starts.

I didn’t watch the reunion last night. Had a hard day at work dealing with difficult people, so the last thing I wanted was to watch yet another difficult person on my TV.

I really used to like Bravo. But a lot of the Housewives franchises have taken on a meanness that I don’t find entertaining. How it must hurt the Girardis’ victims knowing that a main source of their pain is still on TV, being disgusting, and getting a (now larger) paycheck, while they fight to get a shred of what’s rightfully theirs.

But according to Erika, the victims are "alleged." As I said in the episode thread, fuck her.

Bravo has already started the new season, according to the Media thread.  They want to cash in on Erika's infamy.  I don't know when anything is happening with the legal stuff.

Andy has ALWAYS supported Erika.  He's doing is sordid job of making sure there is dirty laundry hanging out to dry.

Or, maybe he really likes her as a person. Seems many do like her. Even Sutton said she liked her months ago on WWHL (that may have changed, though).

But she's SO unlikeable 🤮 Who cares who Andy likes and Erika is being advised by her legal team closely, and who knows.... maybe even Tom.  Didn't she say at one point in the show she talks to him all the time,  honestly I'm losing track with her 🙄

I wouldn’t doubt that. A writer/helper/witty friend.

A good friend of mine loved a podcaster’s humor and wit. She met her and found her to be bland in person. After some chatter she found out that most of the podcast was written by someone else. Yeah, all that wit that sounded so natural was a script.

Erika came off semi snarky in her book but I don’t think it’s true humor, I think she mocks others and things as a defense mechanism.

Absolutely agree 100% (see Teresa Guidice re scripted “confessionals’). You put it much more succinctly and eloquently than I (see ratchet). It would likely take me at least three paragraphs to say pretty much say the same thing.

Erika has already moved on to a new guy that owns a casino (South Point Hotel and Casino) in Las Vegas.  Michael Gaughan. Things don’t appear to be going well with him either if the gossip it to be believed. I do think she’s a cold fish. If he was smart he’d dump her before his bank account gets drained.  https://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2021/10/blind-item-3_14.html

Unless I missed it, the blind item didn't mention Gaughan. Just curious if you have another link. Last week it was Steve Wynn, now Gaughan. Guess she's going to go through every casino mogul until something sticks. Hopefully they all get wise to her machinations.

We all know Erika's been accustomed to an extremely OTT lifestyle. Wealthy men around her own age have their choice of beautiful women and don't need to settle for one with Erika's attitude and problems. The geriatric bunch of rich men are her only chance. There are only so many women who look like Erika willing to be with them too.

Erika Jayne — super predator of super rich old men. Remember this post, folks, when she whines and cries about being a poor soon-to-be divorcee with no support. Broke, my ass. How much of a raise did Andy give her, again?

I wonder if she’s still sticking by Tom’s side, because he’s such a good man who deserves to be cared for…or whatever-the-hell it was she said when trying to make it sound like he wasn’t the cruel SOB that she made him out to be.

Never have I wanted to see any human being hoisted high on her own petard. Nothing would warm my heart more than seeing her have to turn over all her gold-digging assets to those who really deserve it — no allegedly about it.

Mr. Gaughan, although I know you’ve probably seen a lot in your career with casinos, I have one piece of advice — run like hell.

Super predator sums her up nicely and he probably can't even see his penis. No offense, but how attracted to him do we think she really is? And why is she running around town looking like a slob in sweats all of the time? Mind you, the shopkeepers/workers in Boston where I've been social distancing since the start of the pandemic while continuing to pay rent in WDC and being separated from my wardrobe since March 2020 may be wondering why my wardrobe is so very limited since I brought very few things with me not anticipating the length of my stay by a very long shot, Who does she think she's fooling?

Forgive me for imagining how Erika might negotiate her new “relationship.”

Rich male ig customer: Give me a private show and I’ll take care of those mean ol’ bills sweetheart.

Erika: Shut the fuck up. I’m not anybody’s sweetheart. You give me the cash wrapped around a piece of jewelry - a good piece of jewelry. I’ll use the strap-on - with gloves. Don’t even think about touching me.

Make no mistake, there are a lot of rich men who would pay up the wazoo to get exactly this kind of treatment.  It'd be a feature not a bug.

Andy only likes himself, but I do think he has supported Erika, up until the reunion if that teaser was any indication.

I think Andy maneuvered the women a tiny bit better in the early years, you could tell he had his favorites but now it's easy to know who he prefers and who he dislikes, and not just with Erika and BH. I remember he adored Caroline Manzo and I think that had she stayed they would've sacked Teresa. Obviously not now but he was always up Nene's ass as well as Bethenny and LVP. I think it's time for him to go, at least as a host of the reunions and that dreadful WWHL.

Only high executives could overturn the current casts, I know scandals sell but by insisting on hiring criminals, women who actually have money and class would never dare to align themselves with these shows, I think Sutton is an anomaly and Heather Dubrow only returned once Kelly Dodd was out.

I'm sure Erika would do ANYTHING to land a sugar daddy, or maybe the rumors are true and she did just that, however, those kinds of arrangements never work in the long term and she should know that by now.

Instead of her music career she should invest in formal education like Sutton, I'd also say that she could use that money to compensate the victims but we all know she'd rather use the alleged strap-on on herself than give the money away.

It is clear now neither Bravo or Andy will sacrifice the ratings they get from showing Erika to occupy any sort of moral or ethical ground. The only thing left to see is more posturing per her and her castmates. Like other posters have decided, I just can't participate in this anymore as a viewer......gonna vote with my remote! See you in the forums.

I don’t think Tom was her first older rich guy. I think he was the first to take her seriously long term, invite her in to his life.

It’s really sad that Erika never did anything to secure something more long-lasting for herself with the many, many social contacts she made over the years while circling with Los Angeles’ elite. But the fact is Erika wanted to be a star. She deeply needs that attention.

So here's my thing - I think Erika is a horrible person. But "super predator"? No. These men aren't innocent babes in the woods. And it's not like Erika's troubles haven't been splashed all over news media, including very mainstream news sources like the LA Times and the New York Times. Any man who gets involved with her should know what he is getting and is making a choice. And that's on them, not on Erika. So no, I don't think that she's a super predator because I don't think that these men are prey.
