  1. Have your ants and my ants been talking to each other somehow?!

Happy opening day (well, night) to the defending World Series Champions, Texas Rangers! Never got to say that before!
  3. Well, the majority of the ants seem to be dead three days after putting out the Terro liquid. The remaining ants have somehow figured out I'm the mass murderer and have banded together to annoy me. I had an ant sitting on the edge of my toilet this morning and one suddenly appeared on my finger as I was driving. And I still haven't found where they are coming into the house!
  4. Ever since y'all talked about ants, I've noticed one or two black ants in my kitchen (my grandmother used to call them sugar ants because they don't bite). Not a big deal, but I saw that Terro liquid at the store yesterday and decided to try it. What is in that stuff?? Within 20 minutes of putting it out, there were dozens of ants flocking to it! I'm grossed out and fascinated, I had no idea how many ants were hiding wherever they are in my kitchen (I seriously can't find the source). I hope this stuff works as advertised.
  5. This one ended so abruptly with so many loose ends that I had to double check that it wasn't a two part episode. The missing film, the suspicious car crash, the murderer saying "he saw me when he wasn't supposed to," the overly perky assistant throwing weird looks behind Chavez's back, the robot's memory board shorting out the entire lab. There were too many unanswered questions. Also, where was Chris Park? And please show, PLEASE don't bring back the bitchy medical examiner. I like the quirky new guy.
  6. Becky Hill has resigned and her attorney says it has nothing to do with the investigations into her conduct with the jury. 🙄 CNN story
  7. I laughed so hard at the cold open, I watched it twice. Ava shoving small children, kicking the basketball, and then pushing Gregory in a fury cracked me up. Plus, Jacob getting hit by the ball while sitting on the bench and Barbara scoring in the wrong basket. I cracked up.
  8. This one bugged me, but I always try to say at least one positive thing, so pros and cons list it is. Pros: 1. I like that we got to see Max helping out and contributing to the case with science. 2. I liked that it was Serena who helped Allie out at the end and not Josh. 3. The guy playing the cannibal serial killer was amazing. He was so creepy and weird, I totally understand if Allie has ptsd after this. 4. I continue to love the new medical examiner. His quirky sense of humor tickles me. Cons: 1. I get Max is furious with Josh, and rightly so, but the little bit of "just do what I say and nothing more" bit at him when he was setting up at the crime scene and said "let me know if there's anything else you need" irritated me. Don't make it petty, Max, just keep him at arm's length. 2. Allie acting all buddy buddy, you're baaaack to Josh was totally unprofessional for her and bad for him. She shouldn't be acting like nothing is wrong and nothing has changed, she should be following Max's guidelines and treating Josh as a subordinate. 3. I get with Catherine was frustrated with Beau and I even agreed with her, but the way she went about it pissed me off. To dumb down Beau's efforts with the stereotype of a man refusing to ask for directions was callous and uncalled for. If it was a man doing that to a woman, heads would roll. 4. Did the cannibal only eat the heart and thymus? It seems like a wasted effort to kill a person and then only eat two small parts. 5. How did Allie not escape from the killer when they were getting out through the window? That hole only looked big enough for one person at a time. If he made her go first, she could have run off after climbing out. If he went first, she could have run back through the basement. I doubt he would have risked climbing back in to chase her.
  9. I'm grateful for the ENDLESS amount of support, wisdom, and laughs from the posters in this thread over the years.
  10. Yeah, that was pretty badass (and hot). I confess, I couldn't follow along with this episode. Granted, I was tired while watching it, but there was too much going on for me. Innocent in jail getting shiv-ed, bad lawyer kidnapping Reenie, poker game, finding and protecting the witness, running through a warehouse with bad guys. My poor brain couldn't keep up.
  11. Damn fraudsters. For the second time in three months my debit card got hacked. Someone tried to make charges in Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK. Luckily, I have every fraud alert notification enabled on my account and my bank shut it down and denied the transactions, but now I'm stuck again waiting for a new card. So annoying.
  12. All I see with the new angry emoji is yet another way for me to accidentally react wrong to a post again. Plus, it doesn't seem to fit in with the new site rules, imo.
  13. Hi, @Jeeves! Another Counting On refugee has made their way here, lol. People here are great and have wonderful insights and suggestions.
  14. I knew Josh wouldn't be fired, but I hated the way they went about it just as much. Don't tease the audience with "omg, he is about to be terminated" and then swoop in at the last second with Max saving the day by putting her neck on the line. I like Max a lot and I don't like the writers putting her in this position. The case of the week was kind of ridiculous to me, if I'm understanding it right. Two impersonators basically kill each other over a woman, and then she is charged because she put them both into a wall? I guess I could understand her being charged with the one murder since that guy was still alive, but she wasn't involved physically in the fight, and she was basically just kind of a witness (she may have asked the one impersonator to kill the other but it's not like he couldn't have said no and it's not like she forced him at gunpoint). I guess I can see how a defense attorney could get her off with no charges pretty easily. And Beau calling her a murderer to her face was a little over the top to me. Also, why did she put them into the wall? It just seemed like a ton of work, plus someone at the party could have seen her at any point so she was running a huge risk. Why not just walk away and let the scene be discovered the way it was?
  15. I think JJ Watt and Jason Kelce are smart. Retire before existing injuries get worse, any new catastrophic injuries happen, and they are still young and healthy enough to enjoy life with their families.
