peeayebee March 16, 2015 Share March 16, 2015 I just saw this one for Trifexis. I love it. I was laughing out loud at the one dog with its tongue out. 3 Link to comment
Prevailing Wind March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 My neighbor says her Shih Tzu is "on Trifecta" - I always wonder if it's the dog or horse racing track. Link to comment
Snipsa March 19, 2015 Share March 19, 2015 One of my favourite South African "Ad wars". And that between a fastfood outlet and an insurance company to boot! Overall Nando's ads are usually very "spoof" oriented, and Sanlam has some of the sharpest and most styleful adverts in SA! If you have time youtube Nando's ads. It's a minefield but you won't be sorry (may just need to know the basics about African politics to really "get" all of them) 2 Link to comment
peeayebee March 19, 2015 Share March 19, 2015 Cool. I had to rewatch the first one. Ben Kingsley, Brian Cox… Who were the other two? Link to comment
Prairie Fire March 21, 2015 Share March 21, 2015 (edited) OK, the "single woman whose relatives keep trying to fix her up" may be the oldest trope in the book, but this girl pulls it off well. I'll be your date, "Liz"! And as someone who always tries to rent from Enterprise.....I can testify that they would totally do this for someone if necessary. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWDo4o0vFxs Edited March 22, 2015 by Prairie Fire 7 Link to comment
Prevailing Wind March 21, 2015 Share March 21, 2015 Yeah, but they can't tell me where the car came from that had the kitten in the trunk. The guy opened to trunk to clean the car for the next rental and a really sweet black & white kitty popped out. The guy who rented it is deaf, so even if the cat had been yelling, he wouldn't have heard it. Most folks are of the opinion someone wanted to ditch the cat. He's really sweet and knows how to play without showing his claws. I can't imagine someone wanting to dump him. But that's another thing Enterprise will do for you - take the cat off your hands & take it to the vet next door, so kitty can get neutered the next day and go on display in the adoption center. Please, pet owners, microchip your pets. 3 Link to comment
AndreaK1041 March 21, 2015 Share March 21, 2015 (edited) I hate Christian Laettner, but I love this commercial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbYlT_a4Jt8 "Yes. I literally made this hammock out of laurels so that I can rest on them." Maybe I don't hate Christian Laettner any more. Hilarious! Edited March 21, 2015 by AndreaK1041 4 Link to comment
SmithW6079 March 22, 2015 Share March 22, 2015 The new Scotts Turf Builder ad -- if only for "Scott," the ginger Scot. 3 Link to comment
Bastet March 22, 2015 Share March 22, 2015 Yeah, using a Scot to extol Scott's is rather twee, but I just love that guy's accent so I go with it. 2 Link to comment
Lola16 March 23, 2015 Share March 23, 2015 I love the Narwhals commercial. It's just so random. Of course, as an actual method of selling a product, it sucks because I have no idea what it's advertising. Phone service of some sort, I think? My mom loves the narwhals. Also thought it was a fictitious creature. I think she wants one now. Unicorn of the sea. 1 Link to comment
Lola16 March 23, 2015 Share March 23, 2015 Normally I don't go for the gender stereotype commercials but this one was cute: 10 Link to comment
peeayebee March 23, 2015 Share March 23, 2015 Adorable! I love how the baby looks at him when he's feeding her. Also, I haven't seen a Press N Seal commercial for a long time. Link to comment
Bastet March 23, 2015 Share March 23, 2015 I like - and this shouldn't be notable, but it is - that he's happy to be spending time with his child, not resentful that he has to "babysit." And that the things he comes up with to do with the Press 'n' Seal aren't designed to keep him from having to parent his child or take care of his house, just to make it easier. 7 Link to comment
St. Claire March 26, 2015 Share March 26, 2015 That commercial is excellent. Dad was bit out of his element (see: stupid sippy lids that never match up with the cups) but was far from the standard incompetent father usually portrayed on TV. Also, I never got that much accomplished during any of my kids' naps, so I'm very impressed with his ingenuity and stamina. 3 Link to comment

SuburbanHangSuite March 27, 2015 Share March 27, 2015 Press N Seal is the shit. Seriously. Don't know how I ever survived with plain, old SaranWrap. And I feel so smart because my kid is a chronic "spiller" and I've been making lids with straws forever. Watching the NCAA games and Southwest dancing girl is back rocking the "Will and Carlton" to Apache. LOVE her. 1 Link to comment
janie jones March 27, 2015 Share March 27, 2015 The first time I saw Press n Seal in action, probably like 10+ years ago, it was at a friends house, and I marveled at how it worked exactly like the commercials. I still am impressed by it. Saran wrap is so awful. 1 Link to comment
peeayebee March 27, 2015 Share March 27, 2015 I bought Press N Seal years ago. I used it, and then for some reason I stopped using it. It's still in my pantry with my saran wrap, tin foil, parchment paper, and whatever else comes in a roll. Link to comment
riley702 March 27, 2015 Share March 27, 2015 (edited) I love Press N Seal, too. And if I'm out on the patio where there's even a possibility of a bug getting in my drink, I always make a cover out of Press N Seal and then just stick a straw thru it. I haven't used Saran Wrap in years. Edited March 28, 2015 by riley702 Link to comment

Rick Kitchen March 30, 2015 Share March 30, 2015 There's a new Taco Bell ad that makes me laugh. They're attacking McDonald's. It's set in a dystopian future where everybody is lined up for the same boring breakfast (and there's a McDonald's style countdown - xxx, xxx, xxx, xxx sold), and people break out of the line to escape, where they're chased by evil looking clowns. If you're clown-phobic, don't see it, but I like it. Too bad I can't find it anywhere yet. 2 Link to comment

pandora spocks March 31, 2015 Share March 31, 2015 The Brady Bunch Snickers commercial makes me laugh so hard. I don't whether it's Danny Trejo having a chat with Mike and Carol Brady or Steve Buscemi whining, "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!" 7 Link to comment

Ever and now I really, really want it to work! I'm not sure if this should go in the smoking thread or this one but I'm really enjoying the anti e-cigg commercials. The music is catchy enough for you to look at the screen and the commercial moves quickly that you keep watching. Now, hopefully it works. Link to comment
Rick Kitchen April 1, 2015 Share April 1, 2015 That anti-e-cig ad with "I'm Back in Baby's Arms" had me looking up the song. I don't know who does the version in the ad, but the original was by Patsy Cline, whom I adore. 2 Link to comment
