The source is a post on celebmagazine.com  a reality tv blog. They do not proffer any proof so it is all rumor and speculation. Although it does make sense.

LVP and Ken have been trying to sell Villa Blanca for a while with no takers so it’s hardly surprising it’s not coming back. I don’t think it means anything for SUR or Pump. They may close too but the fact that Villa Blanca did doesn’t increase the odds.

I hope TomTom will be okay.  LVP can recover financially after shutting down these places but not sure the Toms can, especially if VPR gets completely revamped with only Scheana staying on.

The shaky restaurants like Villa Blanca are all write offs now. But with the Governor shutting them down again marginal joints will also slide into bankruptcy. SUR, Pump and Tom Tom will suffer from the total lack of tourism and the attacks on diners as the woke berate people just trying to have a goat cheese ball. They are sure to be targets and will not survive these twin hits.

Add in Ken’s recent back surgery and it seems likely that they might step back and cash out.

My theory is that all in the entertainment biz put stories out as-needed to gain attention of some form or another at important times.  Bravo is no exception.  I think they intentionally drop rumors and such to guage fan reaction.   The moving-to-Vegas rumor smacks of that, IMO.

I could see it happening, but I'll believe it when I see it.  One thing that might lean in that direction is that Las Vegas is "open" and could perhaps hold such a show whereas I'm not sure LA could just yet.  Hollywood is still figuring out how to do things.

Vegas can only survive with tourism so they will do why they have to do and accommodate filming and tourist attractions.

Because it’s located in a county that meets the requirements for reopening and isn’t showing a rapid spike in cases. 

Vegas would allow production of this show so fast that I am shocked they aren’t already filming if that is the direction it’s going in.

I don't really like Kyle either. It just wasn't accurate to say she was stache twirling about Villa Blanca and its demise because she wasn't (I know you didn't make the original comment). Now if it had been Rinna....

Back on topic- I think Villa Blanca was destined to end regardless of Covid. Hasn't she been trying to sell it ever since that sexual harassment suit she lost? I don't know anything about West Hollywood real estate but I always got the impression it was a money pit. She barely ever mentions it on VPR or RHOBH and the reviews are fairly terrible. I think she was happy a pandemic came along to help her save face about shutting down a pretty severe albatross around her neck.

LVP is one of the few Bravo stars strong enough and with a big enough fan base to transfer to another network.

If this show succeeds I can easily see a new version of Vanderpump Rules with a different name but several of the old names in it.

NBC Univeral owns Bravo so it’s not really a different network.

Vanderpump Dogs might not have any crossovers from Vanderpump Rules since the chuckleheads are under contract to Bravo.

That would be interesting and definitely controversial enough to give the show some buzz.

If it means I have to pay for a subscription, I'm definately out.   You are right.  There are way too many options out there, and I'd go broke paying for subscriptions to them all - or even just a handful. 

If the show were free, I'd give it a try.  You never know what works ... although at face value, it doesn't sound all that great.

It seems that the come on is that it is free and extra content is behind a paywall. 

Streaming is the future. People are going to cut the cord and just collect streaming services. Both networks and basic cable will be a thing of the past. Everyone will have the Firestick on their smart TVs. When you download Amazon Prime you get a lot of free content and a lot you have to pay for and that is the model this new service will follow.

I don’t know about that. The people who were fired from Vanderpump rules will not be appearing on that show any time soon.

I have no desire to watch Vander Pump Dogs. I doubt it's going to focus on animal rescue/welfare. It will be LaLa selling pink tutus for pomeranians and the 2 Johns trying to become famous.

What a waste of time when there are so many animal  rescue places that really deserve to be recognized and helped for their tireless efforts. But no....we are getting Lisa, LaLa and specific dog breeds that LVP  finds endearing. Maybe Pinky should start rescuing ALL breeds. Including mutts. Lisa is trash. Just MOO. Not intending to piss off Lisa lovers.

I enjoyed Lisa in Housewives context, but I don't think I'd be entertained by a show about her dog "rescue". As much as I adore dogs, I'm not fond of the tiny yappers she seems to favour exclusively, and I certainly wouldn't be interested in the human element either. Hard pass.

LVP has more than enough fans to get healthy ratings. If she mixes staff drama with adoption stories it could be a pretty good show.

This seems like an excellent idea. I think it is quite possible that some of LVP’s restaurants in LA will never come back. The tourist trade is basically over in LA since the dual attacks of COVID and Mob rule would preclude star struck Middle Westerners from coming to her joints which I think is the majority of her business. The ultra woke will boycott her and I bet a bunch of them will go inside to lecture  and disrupt the meals of innocent diners. The police will be afraid to remove them or even if they tried you would have nightly Extravaganzas on Instagram and Tick Tock. I really think they will have a big problem going forward. Her business in LA are basically destroyed. She needs to cut her losses.

Moving the show to Vegas makes a lot of sense. Any tourist not afraid of COVID are much more likely to go to Vegas than LA. The bar is in Caesar’s Palace with private security which will not stand for any nonsense.

But if they have private security, how will the cast get into fights at work?

I know the conversation about Villa Blanca is a couple weeks old now, but I just saw a comment from Lisa on one of her Instagram posts, and she said VB was not in the cards to reopen because it has no outdoor space. I’m certain that there are other factors, but for now, no outdoor space is pretty much a guarantee that you won’t open your restaurant for a loooooong time. (I realize that some areas, even in CA, are closing streets to use for outdoor dining, but perhaps that doesn’t work where VB is, and it’s likely not enough to make opening up the whole restaurant viable. I doubt that’s the kind of place one goes in LA for takeout.)
