Popular Post KateHearts February 7, 2022 Popular Post Share February 7, 2022 I've gotta say that I've never had so many changes of opinion throughout the season as I have on this one. Gino and Jasmine: at first he is portrayed as the aw-shucks, stumblebum who is a little touched in the head but just wants some love. She is the hot-headed, jealous crazy girlfriend who doesn't trust him picking up a pizza. Now I think he is a cruel and thoughtless asshole who smirks while she cries at his betrayal. Yes, she turned on the ex who sent the pictures (I get that maybe the ex was trying to warn/protect Jasmine) but I could see she was truly hurt and that his actions were unexpected. He has no capability for empathy, as evidenced by his flat affect yet concealed excitement at her reactions. Ximena and Mike: I know she has milked him for her rent, support for her children and whatever else, but I do also see that she views him as a way out of poverty- which most Americans frown on but again, we can't understand what it's like to live in the conditions she presumably has. She is trying to make the best of a dreary situation; still, based on the previews, she is starting to push her advantage. Ben and Mahogany: we are reliving leather trenchcoat guy and his Ukranian ghost girlfriend (I forgot their names). He is creepy and I cannot stop looking at his droopy eye. I was cringing at the "poem," and noted that Ben compensates for his lack of insight and neglect of his family by focusing on his physical appearance ("my feet are my worst feature.") Believe me, your feet are the least of your worries. Hamza and Memphis: can anyone really call someone the "love of their life" based on Elmo-speak and flashing each other on FaceTime calls? And minor irritant: I can't stand when people pronounce it as "pre-nup-shoo-al" agreement. She has complained about his honestly, his financial situation, that he doesn't seem happy, that he was way too fast during sex, about the prenup, that "everything be 50/50" (my guess is that he has no idea what that means). But whyyyyy isn't he haaapppyyy? Alina and Cah-leb: while I still think he is basically a navel-gazing, selfish guy who pontificates way too much and says in 200 words what could be said in 20, I applaud his being forthright in saying that he isn't sure he wants to be a caregiver for a life partner. Face it, most people would skirt around the issue but it is a HUGE aspect of committing to a person with her disability. She needs to be carried or wheeled a good part of the time. Her limitations are not minimal. Not sure of her reproductive limitations, but I do know (based on what I've read) that orthopedic problems and limited lifespan are definite considerations in those with her type of dwarfism. Cah-leb admits that he likes to travel and do physical activities. It's appropriate for him to think about whether he can compromise given her physical limitations. So he gets a nod from me. Besides, she should not feel entitled to demand a commitment from him after a week or so vacationing together. Yes, you've corresponded for many years. But that is not equivalent to having a mature, adult relationship where you are interacting in person regularly. Alina- back off. Missing the shameless begging for sex from Kimbah-lee this week, as well as the pathetic Ella who is living out her cartoon fantasy of being with Johnny, who has a family to support while he navigates COVID, being unemployed and trying to see his young son throughout it all. 35 Link to comment

On TLC, the two go to dinner where Alina asks for a commitment, Caleb hems and haws, and Alina gets mad and kicks him to the couch. The next day, they go on a boat ride where Alina pesters him some more, and Caleb refuses to commit. Later, they have another talk where he admits he's not up to the physical challenges of taking care of her. She insists he should do it anyway if he really loves her, and she "thought he was different." Later at the airport, she continues to be whiney and passive-aggressive over his not committing to her, and he voiceovers that he considers it a breakup, complete with generic breakup music playing in the background. I don't know how to post the why's of why this happened without being a rule breaker (?) so will go to couples thread. 4 Link to comment

Stuckathome February 7, 2022 Share February 7, 2022 (edited) I have yet to watch this episode, but did see the previews and screen shots and I echo what others said----Jasmine may be a bit cray cray, but she had every right to be furious and hurt. If what she said in earlier episodes are true, that in the past she has been lied to and cheated on and used by men, it makes what Gino did all that more horrendous. Unless you have been in an abusive situation, you can't imagine what it feels like to be in a triggering situation. I can see how that would trigger her bigtime. What an epic betrayal of trust, and the way he handled it tells me he is not all there in the head either and is very, very immature. Girl, set that loser free and go back to find a different sugar daddy, one with a clue and actual sugar. Edited February 7, 2022 by Stuckathome 18 Link to comment

Alonzo Mosely FBI February 7, 2022 Share February 7, 2022 Also I missed Ella this week. Her storyline is a total trainwreck that for once I think TLC chose to minimize it to save her self esteem and the very problematic nature of the stereotyping, covid attitudes and more. I mean they got cameras on this guy in China, they were invested. I could watch it on and on- disappointed nothing this week. 8 Link to comment
Popular Post seacliffsal February 7, 2022 Popular Post Share February 7, 2022 I just found out that this show will not return for 2 weeks because of the Superbowl, which, like others, I only watch when my team is in it. TLC, you never loved me-liar! Ben is a jerk. "Never been loved" I really hope his children are confident in who they are and will not be overly hurt to hear/watch him say this. What a jerk. Oh, and now he's not only a stalker, but a stalker who thinks he is a writer. So, the other passengers on the runaway train were supposed to be so enthralled with the true love of the dancing couple that it calmed them and distracted them from the ensuing disaster? I guess they had no other choice because they were dancing in the aisle and therefore the others could not leave their seats. Not only a jerk, but a truly selfish one at that. I hope the camerapeople at least were able to order something to eat in that restuarant. Oh, and Ben is pretty arrogant in thinking others don't understand God's will and/or true love. I don't want to watch him (or Caleb) work out shirtless. Oh, and Gino is a lying jerk. He continued to lie even though Jasmina had evidence. He must get away with a lot of things to think he could get away with that. I am hopeful that this was (finally) Caleb and Alina's final appearance. Caleb loves to hear his voice waaaaay too much, but he wasn't wrong when he finally told Alina that he was not the one who would be her lifelong aide. People think love conquers all, but there is a difference between infatuation and love as well as other considerations that are a part of love. Myself as well as some of my friends may want a significant other, but as we age there is the factor of becoming a caregiver and one has to be willing to do so. I am glad to not see more of this couple, especially as I thought Alina pushed way too much (like Kim does) and Caleb saw himself as an unique and special snowflake who would show us the path to enlightenment. I thought Ximena's tears before she accepted Mike's proposal were due to her really not wanting to marry Mike while knowing that her income would be cut off, and she would have to get a job, if she didn't accept. I really wish TLC would keep young children out of this mess. Those sweet boys are going to be in for a lifetime of hurt if Ximena doesn't marry Mike (I still hate how Tifany continually allowed Daniel to build up his hopes and then she crushed them every single time). I just can't take Memphis' voice and way of speaking. She also sets impossible standards and expectations for Hazma. He can't work until getting a green card! Also, it shouldn't even be 50/50 as she has children and he is not responsible for them (so, at most, he could eventually be responsible for 25/75). She will want a home/apartment that has enough bedrooms for her children-that's on her. They need more food to feed children-that's on her. Yes, I know, when one marries someone with children, one expects to help take care of them, but I just find her expectations ridiculous. Pre-nup? Okay, then get a Tunisian lawyer for Hazma. She wants him to pay for the wedding? Then keep it simple. However, it's her continual demeaning comments to him that most bother me. If you don't like him, then....wait for it....don't marry him! 35 Link to comment

He could have easily said yes let's be exclusive and ghosted her once he got back to the States. It seemed that he did not have a full understanding of her needs prior to meeting so he was blindsided when they finally met in person. That was a little deceiving on her part but it is 90D And no love does not conquer all especially when he never said he loved you. 1 22 Link to comment

It was rather presumptuous for her to expect a commitment of exclusivity when they live half a world away from one another and I don't think he'd told her he was in love with her. He did tell her he cared and, really, that's about all she could expect after being together for only a week. At the airport he did say he wanted to stay in touch, but I don't see a future for them. Well said. Caleb just wasn't into her. Maybe initially a part of him thought it would be exciting and romantic to travel from Chandler AZ to meet a Russian woman in Turkey. Once there, I think he tried to give the situation a fair shot, but realized that this just wasn't going to work for him, no matter how much Alina wanted it. I can see her part too, she had all her hopes for a more normalized life pinned on him. He didn't want to break her heart, but he did. Kudo's to him for telling her the truth in a respectful yet honest way. During their departing shots at the airport, I saw caring in his face, but not love. I thought that his mind was already back in Arizona, back to his life. I wonder if they will remain friends or if it will peter out. Seeing each other in person changes the reality of their friendship. I did appreciate that they did a lot of sight-seeing, unlike some of the other couples. Alina probably didn't enjoy much of it as she as so consumed on getting a commitment and validation from Caleb that she didn't see all the beauty around her. 29 Link to comment

STFU already! Aside from the topless photo's, why is Gino in communication with his ex at all? What a skeezy little scumbag. Did Memphis ask Hamza what he did for a living before deciding she had to marry him? If she did she would know what his income and possibility of making an income would be. Starlight925 February 7, 2022 Share February 7, 2022 Alina wasn't completely honest in all of her communications with Caleb. She said she never showed him the full extent of her situation, basically hiding a large part of just how much help she really does need. She has a beautiful face, so that's what she showed him, plus her actual size. But she neglected to share with him just how difficult things truly are for her, and how much help she needs on a daily basis. Even if she were to find a partner ready & able to take all that on, she'd probably need a full time aide as well. While I can't stand Caleb and his smug attitude, I do give him props for his honesty and for not leading her on, whereas I believe she led him on, then badgered him for a commitment. These two are better off as SnapChat friends. 24 Link to comment

Breedom February 7, 2022 Share February 7, 2022 Gino flubbed up big time for an unforgivable offense. I don't think I could ever come back from that. First of all, why was he still thinking of his ex while he was with Jasmin? Because he wasn't over this ex, of course. More importantly, he betrayed Jasmin with her trust. I think Jasmin really does (did) love Gino and might have been learning to trust a guy again - maybe just a little bit - then Gino threw all of that trust out the window to feed his own ego. I saw the hurt on her face. She went ballistic in Jasmin-style while Gino sat there with no defense, only a guilt-ridden face which only enraged Jasmin more. Gino blew it, he needs to go back home, work on himself, get over old relationships, discard his personal baggage and then and only then go out and look for someone new. I don't blame Jasmin one bit for her rage mixed in with her disappointment in who she really opened herself up to. 12 Link to comment

Frozendiva February 7, 2022 Share February 7, 2022 In this week's episode of the pilot for 'Two Weeks til Marriage': Memphis and Hamza: Memphis is starring in a romance novel, Hamza is wondering who she is and is stuck in some caveman novel, and both novels are on different shelves. Will they marry or not? Why would you want to marry someone you cannot communicate with without a translator app? Memphis is bossy, unpleasant, and rude. Hamza is stuck in his own culture and Memphis may be in for a rude awakening. There aren't any pre-nups in Tunisia, Hamza has very little too offer to Memphis except his love of her big chest. He has no money for a big wedding and the two of them don't seem to talk about reality and that sexy times does not make an entire marriage. No mention of being a family, meeting the kids, what he plans to do in the US when he is able to work, etc. etc. Maybe take this two weeks' visit as a pre pre before the 90 day visa application. Go home, think about who the Internet love of your life is in reality, and then come back for another two to three weeks before making a decision. Mike and Ximena: Another prime contestant for this game show. Mike, Ximena will do almost anything to get out of poverty (you have no idea what her life has been like) and that includes 'marrying' you. You are ready to marry a woman you barely know, who you talk to via a translator app, and pretty much the only person who has validated you or given you the time of day in years. She may care for you in a you are nice and shiny gullible ATM, uses your naivete and inexperience with people in general to her advantage. Mention your dad and grandpa. Take a video of your house to show her where you live and how you live. She seems to have more contempt for you than love, but you don't realize it. You are not her dream guy - only the guy she has on her card right now who can give her a better life at a high cost to her. And in the preview for the next ep, you are going back to see her and she now wants a boob job - of course she does! You only got the side of her she wanted you to see. Interesting to see what you do when she is herself. You may learn a very hard lesson in love from this. Ben and Mahogany: The Peru trip! Hey, Ben, maybe you could have done the real tourist thing. Macu Picchu. You have no idea if this Mahogany girl really exists, really lives in Peru, and is the girl in the photos and short video. She told you to not visit, she did not make any arrangements to pick you up at the airport, she does not want to text you, she probably did not want your story. She would be the ghost with the most. Now you take the hour's ride to her hometown/bedroom community of Lima, and ask to meet her at a restaurant. She doesn't show and you drink your glass of water. Put the ball in her court, say you are in town, and would love to have coffee with her/meet her. If she shows no interest, have a nice visit to Peru and check out some tourist spots. You talk about your spiritual connection and you have never experienced unconditional love and you feel she can offer it to you and vice versa. Yeah, it doesn't work that way. Love and humans have a tough time. You want love without need and expectation and to freely love one and all. That takes work, time, destruction of your ego, and developing a oneness with the Universe. Hard work. You found a hot girl that you think that you deserve. You mentioned some religious stuff and that is what it took to reel you in. Gino and Jasmine: The tables turned in this ep. Schmucky Gino turned in to his 180 - a creep. You have no business sending nude photos of your current girlfriend to your ex wife or girlfriend. And then she contacts your current girlfriend. Loser Gino has had sugar babies? Jasmine does have a hair-trigger temper, but she was justified. She should have maybe planned this better, laid out all your hats on the bed, ripped one from your head and took all the rest. What you did was inexcusable, Gino. The poor toothbrush deserved better, but it is a symbol of you. Good luck in getting her forgiveness. Alina and Caleb: Guess it was time to write them out and finish them off and give the audience closure. They may have been Internet friends/penpals, but that relationship did not carry over to reality. Alina was not honest about her disability and the daily need for care and assistance. She was aggressive, didn't really consider Caleb as a person who may have his own wants and needs. He came across better than he did when we first met him. He did not need to be put on the spot about a lifelong commitment when he had spent less than two weeks with her. No, he can't give her a 'yes' answer. I wouldn't be able to. I haven't spent enough time with her and vice versa. Caleb had no idea who Alina really was. I can see a 'break-up' of sorts when he needed more time to think about a future with her. He was kind at the end in that he admitted that he could not be her caregiver. At least not at this time. He would need time to go home, maybe talk to a medical specialist about her dwarfism, what her prognosis may be, what he is getting in to in terms of being a caregiver. Can he afford a condo or house and renovate it to meet her needs? Does he have a lot of money that can include him hiring a helper for her? Would they live in the US or Russia? These are not light decisions and he made the best one he could at the time. It was better for her to be 'dumped' than to give false hope. Both can move on, and possibly reconnect somewhere down the line if they are 'meant to be'. 16 Link to comment

On live chat someone mentioned Alina being a racist so I checked it out. Supposedly TLC fired her because of her comments on a party for (derogatory word) a certain group. She's vile. You'd think someone with her condition would have some understanding. Now we know why this didn't work out, plus Caleb isn't going to be her "disco stick" and tote her around like a sack of potatoes. I can't stand her because she's ugly both inside and outside plus she's desperate like Kimberly. 6 Link to comment

And in the preview for the next ep, you are going back to see her and she now wants a boob job - of course she does! You only got the side of her she wanted you to see. Interesting to see what you do when she is herself. You may learn a very hard lesson in love from this. Another couple that know nothing about each other and can't communicate. The ones I feel for are her sons, especially the older one, poor kid thinks he's getting a father. 6 Link to comment
FrancescaFiore February 7, 2022 Share February 7, 2022 (edited) I've done a real 180° with Alina & it has nothing to do with her recent ousting from the show. I liked her so much at first, but now I'm finding her to be overly assertive, then pouty and punitive when those tactics don't work. I fully support her in wanting to know what deal with the relationship is, but telling Caleb that there's a time limit on when he can decide if he wants exclusivity was a near fatal, if not fatal error. I have to give props to Caleb for having been as honest as he was about his reasons for hesitating about being in an exclusive relationship with her. Most guys (in my experience) would not have been as honest. He said it himself. He's not sure he wants a lifetime of being someone's aid. He didn't put that off on her, he put it on himself. Most guys would have given some bullshit excuse about the distance or whatever but Caleb was honest and said "not sure I want that life for myself." I kept waiting for Caleb to be this giant pretentious douchecanoe, and he never really was. I saw worse behavior from Alina and Elijah. And I got real tired of her pulling the pouty puppy dog eyes. Jasmine may be batcrap bonkers, but her reaction to Gino's abhorrent behavior is spot-on. Not over the top at all, as would have been expected of her. She made a lot of great points and really scathing comments. Snatching his hat off his head was classic. "There! That's nude." And then saying she wouldn't bother sending his dick pics to her ex because "it's nothing to brag about, it's so tiny." Hilarious that in the extended scene, he immediately went into his bag and got another hat. His emergency backup hat. His "In Case of Jasmine, Break Glass to Access Hat" hat. Y'gotta hand it to Memphis. She's not even known Hamza in person for a week but she's already irritating TF out of him & making him question whether he wants a lifetime of that same irritation. Her prenup idea is funny; if she brings him to the US on a spousal visa, he's her financial responsibility for something like 10 years. No prenup is going to override the government's rules & requirements. Hamza will cost her money. But she'll likely cost him so much more. Boobies aren't so rare or special that they're worth sacrificing his home, friends and family for. Especially boobies that attached to that rude, crude, cookie-monster-speaking mouth of hers. What can be said about dopey doofus Ben that hasn't already been said? WTF was that weird-ass story about the runaway train? I'm trying to imagine the Nigerian scammer who's pretending to be Peruvian Mahogany reading that text and being utterly baffled. A runaway train is dangerous and ends in an inevitable train wreck. What an hilarious metaphor for him to have chosen unironically. He's a runaway train, coming off the rails and now he's coming... to...get... her. If Mahogany was a real girl, she'd be rightfully terrified of this bug-eyed loon who won't take no for an answer. Edited February 7, 2022 by FrancescaFiore 5 15 Link to comment

Of all the utter psychos this season, Ben is by far the scariest. Watching him sitting there, breathing, so fucking pissed that she didn't show up but trying to act "sad" instead...he's the guy who would chop you into tiny pieces, because God told him to. 5 20 Link to comment
Baltimore Betty February 7, 2022 Share February 7, 2022 Everything that Memphis says or does annoys me, "Me hungry," "Me tired," is ridiculous, how is Hamster supposed to learn English correctly if she is speaking like this? Does Memphis understand pre nups and divorce or as she says "Divorace," the pre nup or any legal document has to signed when you fully understand the language it is written in, not in a drugged or drunk state, under duress, etc...if Hamster signs the pre nup he can later claim he did not know what he was signing making that document null and void. Memphis asking him if he has any savings or is he broke was crazy, of course he is broke! Memphis should ask herself if she is paying for everything then he is broke. She wants him to contribute to her household as in 50/50 for everything but he will not be able to work the second he gets to the US and probably does not have any money to put towards the visa or even the flight to the US. Has she really thought about her kids welcoming this stranger in to their family with open arms, are they expected to call him Dad? Did Mike really think Ximena would have said not to the proposal and watch her wallet walk out the door? My husband walked in during the scene where Caleb was shirtless sitting on the floor and Alina walked by and got in bed...he asked what he was looking at and I could not answer because I was laughing too hard. Alina get real, you live in fucking Russia, Caleb will not be moving to Russia anytime soon. You have physical limitations, it is a lot to ask of someone to take care of you, you pestering them about it gives Caleb more of a reason to say he is out, it is no longer about your physical limitations it is more about your nagging. Jasmine, now is the time to boil his bunny, you know you want to. 1 15 Link to comment

LOL! There needs to be a dedicated separate thread in every TLC show forum just for random husband reactions. The “Honey, WTH are you watching” forum. Much better than Pillow Talk. 17 5 Link to comment
Wizardpatch February 7, 2022 Share February 7, 2022 Is Geno's ex who is ratting him out his ex-wife or ex-girlfriend/sugarbaby? It's weird either way but it's slightly weirder if he is trying to get revenge on his ex-wife who he seemed to respect against Jazmin's insane rants. Hamza is just a dude trying to get lucky on Tunisian Spring Break. Why would any older woman with half a brain cell think he could navigate America? 1 5 Link to comment
Breedom February 8, 2022 Share February 8, 2022 (edited) Memphis isn't exactly a bowl of warm-fuzzy, is she? I think Hazma has had it with her. Her manner of talking is direct and blunt and it comes across as unfeeling and uncaring. A typical couple planning on getting married doesn't sound like this. Have a heart, girl. Stop being so cold. You are scaring Hazma away. Sit down at the hotel and take the time to explain things to him. In her line of work why doesn't she know this? And like everyone else, her "me hungry", "me this" "me that" is annoying and disrespectful. This is a grown man you are dealing with, Memphis, so don't talk like you are on Sesame Street. 7 hours ago, magemaud said: ots of speculation on the couple's page about his eye which he himself describes as having always been "droopy." His droopy eye doesn't bug me at all. My sister has a little bump right below her eyelid and was interested in having it removed. Her doctor said she could remove it, but as a result it would cause her eye to droop a little bit. She declined the surgery choosing to have the bump over the droopy eye. Just one of those things people have or get for one reason or another. Edited February 8, 2022 by Breedom Changed grammer. 4 Link to comment
