The Brown family has their first COVID exposure, and a conversation with Kody is the last straw for Christine.

So. Many. Thoughts. 

- Finally, someone says it out loud: there are grown adults living in Robyn's house who aren't being forced out.  And it was Janelle!

- We knew all along that the daily comings and goings of the nanny/tutor was far riskier than a random trip to Utah. Welcome to reality, Kodouche abs Sobbyn.

- Good for Christine. Finally saying she isn't interested in a partial marriage with Kodouche. And she has gotten better looking over time. 

- Is there no expectation for the man in a plural marriage to continue intimacy with each wife??

- Meri would rather shove the stick up her nose than spit into a tube? WTF?? She is more demented than we thought!

And eff you Kodouche. You say over and over that your wives have betrayed you. Say what?!? The depths of your betrayals is infinite and not even by monogamy standards.

Also, eff you Kodouche. I am sick of hearing him go on and on about his wives' betrayal. Until one of them goes out and sleeps with another man or woman, he needs to SHUT. UP.

When Kody, Robyn were in the car for their "tests", they asked if they had been tested before and Kody said NO!   But, in previous episode he said "they were all tested before Christmas", so by ALL, he meant everyone else!!!  So everyone else went through the proper precautions but the ones who "follow the rules". 

Love that Christine didn't seem to hesitate to call an end to the BS.    She absolutely took him at his word.   No games, no doubt, he meant what he said, and she acted.    Unlike Meri who will seem to hang on for crumbs, with Robyn encouraging her.  When Robyn told Meri that Kody mentioned he should call Meri, she told Meri "its a door opening".  She feels no threat from Meri, wants to keep her around, if she absolutely has to have any other wife around.

Glad Christine stood her ground and firmly told that jerk he was no longer welcome in her bedroom; she is realizing her worth and not settling for a sham of a marriage. 
Interesting things that stood out: Kody saying rumors went around the fambly for years that Christine was threatening to leave him. It’s demented that he twisted that into Christine’s “betrayal” and so that justifies him cutting off the intimacy. Based on what Christine was saying, he was punishing her for being a “bad” sister wife by withholding. He’s really a dirt bag. 

Also, Kody’s comment about not having to care about the adult kids or however he phrased it; sounds like he is looking for an excuse to justify totally ignoring that they even exist.

Kody, your adult children are painfully aware that your life revolves around your minor children. You just left off “that I had with Robyn”.  You don’t give a crap about the others. Would you and Robyn have come if Truely wanted a party like that?  Seriously doubt it. 

Hilarious that the nanny is the one who exposed the family to COVID. Leave it to Robyn to make a huge deal about it with that overly dramatic video, like they’re the only family who’s dealt with it in the last few years.  Get over yourself. 

When Christine said her marriage has been in trouble the past 12 years, it occurred to me that Kody married Robyn in 2010. Total coincidence, I’m sure 🙄. I wonder if Christine is watching these episodes?  I kind of hope she isn’t, because I can’t imagine how painful it would be to hear your husband say he’s relieved to find his belongings in the garage. She should have dumped them on Robyn’s front yard and set them on fire.

So Kody was willing to risk the health of all of this other kids and wives for Areola.Robyn, It isn't because you got together.  It is because you have a nanny and you didn't test before the party.

And wait, Robyn, you not following the rules and potentially exposing everyone to COVID is a reason not to see each other.  It is a reason for you to hold your household to the same standards as everyone else.

Why didn't you test your family like everyone else?  Why did you have a nanny when you had 4 adults in your house?  

Clearly, the Robyn Brown family weren't following Kody's protocol.  We saw that last week.

Why would Kody think this was a phase?  

He says she murdered their intimacy with betrayal.  Again, Kody takes no responsibility.

He is shocked and dumbfounded she doesn't want him staying in her room.

This episode was so intriguing to watch….normally I just listen with half attention because it’s all so disgusting (by that I mean Kody and Robyn).  Okay so disgusting in this episode was the Covid testing….I literally thought I was going to vomit due to Kody.  But apart from that, my thoughts (I watched on D+ earlier today):

I loved the way they edited it to show the contrasting viewpoints of Kody and Christine on the actual experience of them ending their marriage:

- Kody…(completely lacking compassion and self-awareness) her behavior is bad, let me see if she can get back to being a good sister wife, romanceless marriages are everywhere, kicked out of her bedroom, we will discuss this later, I don’t know if this is just a game, I don’t care,  MY house, how dare she pack up my things when we didn’t discuss this, I’m not sure what I’m feeling, ambivalent?

- Christine…(clearly emotionally crushed) Kody tells me he’s not interested in intimacy any longer, I don’t know what to tell my kids, our marriage has been bad for over a decade (i.e. since Robyn reading between the lines), it’s so hard seeing his things here when he has no interest in a full marriage, I’m just expected to go the rest of my life with nothing, being with people who want us around feels so good why wouldn’t I travel to be with my kids, I don’t want to be in Flagstaff anymore. 
 

Other thoughts: 

- LOVED both Christine and Janell relishing the irony of it being Robyn’s house and nanny who exposed all of them to Covid

- felt horrible for Truley watching Kody gush over her little sister as if she’s the only special little girl in his life (although she is) and knowing Truleys never had a birthday where her dad made her feel that way

What Christine did 'wrong' was become her own person and realize that she needs more than what Kody is willing to give.

It was important for her to pack up his things and put them in the garage.  

Christine is finally putting herself and her kids first.

This episode was absolutely resplendent with Kody ridiculousness.  The disrespect that he received from his older kids “kind of ruined his holiday.”  Dear God, what a fucking asshole.  Of course he would put that on his kids.  As for his five-year-old, I’m all about little girls having a big fuss made over them on their birthday, but it’s pretty rich that this is the event that Kody chooses to put in the effort to make happen.  I’ve never seen him make that big a fuss over any of his other girls (including refusing to accompany his older daughter to a major surgery).  And I love that someone connected to Robyn and Kody is the one who brought a risk of Covid into the family.  I’m chuckling, too, Christine.  If we’ve learned anything from the last two years of this nonsense, it’s that anyone who has any interaction with the public can contract Covid at any time.

Once again, Covid is Kody’s ace in the hole in every way.  He’s already written off Meri, Janelle clearly couldn’t care less if she has sex with him, and he never respected Christine, leaving Robyn as his only wife in every sense.  None of this was an accident.  I was cheering on my couch as Kody surveyed the boxes of his crap in her garage.  He’s lucky that it was all there.  A lot of women would have had it hauled away in a dumpster.  Christine deserves so much more than this.  She’s not perfect (no one is), but she’s been too good a mom to his kids and too patient with his abhorrent behavior to merit this kind of treatment from the likes of this gaslighting mofo.  If anyone in this “family” was going to make a move like this, I’m so glad it was Christine.  She richly deserves it.

(And one shallow observation: Robyn, your eyebrows look like shit.)

And the surprise at the end that Gabe and Garrison have Covid. I wonder if Kody was quaking in his boots that we would have to take care of Janelle like he said he would.

One more thought.  Now that Kody is no longer a polygamist he and his wife can move back to Utah.  The police won't be interested in investigating him at all.

They replayed my favorite scene where Meri tells Christine to look at the mountains. The amount of denial Meri is in is really something.

Christine deserves someone who cherishes her. If Kody isn't the guy, he needs to have some balls and let her go but he likes to keep the wives he's not into on a string to satisfy his ego. It's pretty gross. I'll bet Janelle's kids who adore Christine, really hate Kodi now.

Can't wait for the one on one interviews next week. From the preview, it looks like Kodi brought a big vat of Kool Aid for the remaining wives.

Another of your half-truths, Kody, you lying sack of shit. People who have non-intimate marriages do so with MUTUAL CONSENT and most likely DISCUSS that this is something they will BOTH be okay with. They don't just stop sleeping with their wives, continue banging other women, and not bother to even tell their partner that this is the deal now. Clearly Christine just realized over time that she should stop hoping for intimacy to happen, because this coward didn't even have the balls to tell her. It sounds like it went on for quite awhile before she finally got up the nerve to ask him if it was just never going to happen again.

I was confused about the door and him sleeping over because I thought he wasn’t staying with anyone but Robyn for the past 10 months.  I thiouggt because Christine didn’t follow the rules, he didn’t go to her house, except to see the kids outside.  Or was that only for Janelle and her kids?

What is up with Ariel’s hairstyle?  Are mullets big on 5 year old girls in Flagstaff?

I like Christine but when she was talking about the boxes she was clearly acting.  She was crying with no tears.  At one point she as co wrong her face and I swear she was laughing.

In the preview for next week it was perfection when Christine was asked about her relationship with Kody and she says, "We're divorced."

Really nothing else to say.

After this, I would be happy with the show ending.  If TLC did a few check ins with the children (except Robyn's, no interest there) I would watch those.  But I can be done with the adults.

So the show devotes like 20 minutes to the nanny COVID exposure, testing, reactions, etc. and then Gabe and Garrison(?) actually have COVID (not related to the nanny thing)...and it gets like a 30 second mention? LOL, okay. Glad that Janelle didn’t catch it, though.

I know that Mykelti’s baby shower was outside, but risking COVID exposure while pregnant seems so scary to me. 

Whatever Christine’s job is, I hope the cat getting into her inventory hasn’t been an ongoing thing. Like, I’m assuming she’s selling cat piss clothes, or something. Yikes!

I can't believe that this is the same guy who was obsessed with having his adult children move back home. He’s a complete and utter jerk who obviously only cares about Robyn and her kids. Kody reminds me of that guy who remarried and is all about his second family and resents having to give a crap about his first family. Sometimes it really seemed like hates the children from his other wives. The display with Ari? Poor Truely especially and the other minor kids. He’s been practically verbally abusive with Truley yet lavishes Ari and Sol with love and praise. Gross. Good for Christine.
