It’s true, imo.  It’s like telling an alcoholic to go home and have 3 small drinks a day.  It’s just not feasible for people who are out of control with their drug.

A family member died last year, drank himself to death. He couldn’t stop/gave up. Didn’t or couldn’t care anymore. It was heartbreaking to watch.

Be careful.  Hamsters can be vicious.  And they can easily bite through the nail, and nails heal poorly.   Personal experience speaking! 

PS  I still have the picture of my favorite hamster I painted in 2nd grade art class!   she was the classic golden color.
