Captain Lee returns to the Caribbean aboard M/Y My Seanna with a brand-new crew and one familiar face, but a critical injury sends Lee to the hospital and puts the fate of the charter season in question.

Airs November 2, 2020.

I thought the Lee in the hospital story was going to be at least half a season drag out - happy it wasn’t.

It’s so weird to see this filmed right in the before times.  Seems like such a long time ago.

Eww! I had forgotten what a total douche this primary is. Ugh!

Yeah.....and it seems like every time he's on he becomes douchier and douchier.  He's definitely acquiring camera balls.

Charley is just a little too full of himself for me.

Wow....already down a deck crew?  And, he actually looked like he would have been a good worker!  Does anyone know if they find a good replacement?

Francesca is going to confuse me, because whenever I hear her, I see Hannah - they sound exactly alike.

Eddie looks different - maybe more mature?  Thinner than his last season, as well, but definitely has crossed the line to looking like an adult.

Looks like there could be some interesting drama, hopefully without any obvious producer manipulation.

I am just sooo happy to see Captain Lee!!  He commands so much respect.

Avery was cute and a good deckhand, I was sad to see him go.

Love seeing Eddie again and Captain Lee-always! I love his no-bullshit attitude and hands-off management, unlike POS Sandy.

I like Francesca and yes, she sounds identical to Hannah!  It’s fun to have a bunch of new people finally, and I like the idea of a female chef.

It’s weird not to see Kate with Captain Lee!

I can’t believe they lost a crew member so soon—that might be a Below Deck record. When he mentioned “nursing home” and “thought it was the flu” I was thinking she possibly had COVID, but not sure if the timeline (early Feb) fits.

These charters guests are terribly obnoxious.

I thought the same thing. I missed Avery's introduction, so I wondered where he was from to see if that added anything to the possible grandma has COVID timeline.

We’re they circling the yacht on the jet skis while some of them were in the water near the yacht?

so did they circle for deliberate reasons?

then you had newbie Shane taking it on himself to replace plastic straws with paper straws and doing yoga right in front of the bridge, in front of the captain.

Doesn’t seem like choices a person in a new job in a new industry would make.

So Eddie falls in the water, seems pissed.  Then in the “coming this season” montage, seems like more deckhands, maybe including Eddie, fall into the water.  Don’t recall anyone falling into the water on any of these BD shows, except of course Ashton.

was right between the yacht and a jet ski so he could have hit himself with something solid as he fell in.

I wonder why the guy who left didn’t just come back a week later. Something seems off with that.
Happy the show is back. Love Capt. Lee. What a different from that insufferable twit Sandy.

Francesca does sound just like Hannah. She is no Kate but she seems really good so far. Something about Rachel bugs me. And the deck crew (sans Eddie) seem like idiots.

As usual, the "reality" of this is a bit stretched.  Welcome to the boat, first charter in less than 24 hours.  That simply cannot be how any reasonable or efficient company runs.

I still don't understand how so few not-insane chefs and not-incompetent crew are hired.  Yes, they exist.  I mean, of course, for drama's sake, but even so, is there not a limit?

Pretty sure that first mate from the invisible crew could have taken over if Lee was struck down by his shower - I don't think the company would have simply cancelled, not to mention having subs in reserve to call on.  I WAS slightly surprised, I feel like the invisible crew is usually younger than that, those guys looked a bit worn out.

They've already given away Not-Kate's breakdown.  New Age Stew is pretty, maybe crazy.  Not Aesha Stew is probably (but not definitively) less annoying but also less competent. Steerage Crew Boy is mockable.  Efficient Crew Boy is gone (but I SENSE might make it back before shutdown?  Maybe not.) Hot Crew Boy is hot. Eddie really SEEMS like he'll be a wreck, but maybe not.

Looking at the timeline, a state of emergency was declared in Antigua and Barbuda on March 27, and this season starts on February 11.  I'm not sure where things were two weeks BEFORE the state of emergency, but I'd guess there are four weeks of charters before things get bad.  POSSIBLY six, but I'd imagine cancellations would have already started before then.

She very well could have had Covid--the intro started the season on February 11, and the first US cases were reported January 20.  There was definitely a lot of spreading going around in February, as the Mardi Gras season contributed to the huge first wave in New Orleans.  Sad to say it, but give the shenanigans that went on with BDM last season, Covid is the chief reason I believe this poor guy's grandmother was actually ill and not a manufactured reason to get him off the boat early.  He was the first guy to come on board in years that seemingly had his head on straight, knew what he was doing, and probably could have run the deck as well as Eddie.  It isn't like BD production to hire completely competent people.

It's too early to tell about the interior crew, but I'm immediately biased against Izzy simply because she looks and acts like an ex friend of mine.  The eleven minutes to pour a cup of coffee & bowl of cereal didn't help either.

I hope Lee sticks to his word and does not tolerate the type of shit that went down last season, and maybe keeps a closer eye on things.  Not Sandy level, of course, but checking in with department heads a bit more.

A few weeks on this show is 4 charters or more.  He'll need to be replaced before then.  If they bring back Rhylee, I'm out.

Lee went from getting drunk and passing out....er, I mean....falling in the shower and not being able to move to hugging everyone in one day.  On a boat where we all know maritime law forbids the use of any medication.  Especially one strong enough to work on rib pain

Yeah, I was amazed by how much Francesca sounds like Hannah and it's not just the accent. So weird. On WWHL, Eddie said that if he'd been in Malia's position he would tell the person to get rid of the drugs and let us never speak of this again. He also said a drug test might be in order, but did not seem to think Hannah should have been outright fired. Speaking of whom, baby Ava Grace has arrived!

Francesca also was on WWHL. She seems okay. Looks like we're in for a lot of drama.

Thinking about this more, it had to be staged.

Of all places, why would they ride around the ship?  Just happened that they had a drone or helicopter overhead shot as the jet skis orbited the yacht.  Looks cool and they probably had the guests do it for that shot.

So the other guests could have been swimming near the yacht while those on the jet skis could have been riding away from the ship.

Not sure if it's always the case, but in a previous season they made a point of telling the guests they could only go around the ship and only in one direction.  Maybe it's just for the show - some special liability.  I can't imagine Jay-Z or DiCaprio or any other such celebrity being given those restrictions.  There's a rumor that Sean Combs beheaded a live goat on a yacht, "Yachting" is the new term for high-end escort work and drugs are rampant on real charters - but you can't allow that on TV.

What in the world was Izzy hacking away at with a knife to prepare Capt. Lee’s breakfast?  Multi-drain Cheerios and coffee!

I always think the crew look like famous celebrities.  Francesca was so like Naomi Watts, especially with her hair up, but she looked nothing like her on WWHL. Izzy has shades of Audrina Partridge.

Now I'm wondering if that was his choice (was his name Avery?), or if we are already seeing production shennanigans.  Yes, his grandmother was critically ill, but he could have returned after one week.  I don't think at the time of filming the U.S. had started travel restrictions yet, so it couldn't have been that.  In February, everything was still open.

I wonder if the producers saw how well he and Eddie were getting along and what a hard, experienced worker he was and decided to NOT let him return to up the drama??

This primary is on the wrong yacht.  He belongs on whatever yacht Sandy is on so that they can be camera thirsty together.

Francesca does sound a lot like Hannah.  I was never a Kate fan so I don't miss her. I hope Francesca doesn't become mean and catty throughout the season. Izzy is an off brand version of Aseha with the efficiency of Caroline.

It sounds like Avery's grandmother had covid.  Poor Eddie lost his only experienced deck hand. Shane seems like  he would frustrate anyone he works with.

It is sad that a stew does not realize that presentation is important.

The way Capt. Lee's mug has been high lighted, (just in camera frame behind him and he told the New Hannah that he likes his coffee in it) in just this first episode, (I have never noticed it on any other seasons before, is it a new mug?) makes me think something will happen to it, like one of the crew will use it or it will be broken or missing.  I can just hear him saying, "how hard is it to________ my mug."

How has Eddie not aged?

She's so slow.  She doesn't seem too experienced at service.  And of course they have to have the most obnoxious guests for their first charter.  That primary thinks he's some big shit what with it being his third  time on the show.

that mug is doomed!

Producer shenanigans to me are that at some point Izzy and Shane are going to get swapped. Izzy keeps talking about being on deck and Shane seems to spend more time with the stews then the deck crew at this point! Or maybe she just gets switched and they get a new stew now that Avery is gone. Especially since they usually always have one woman on deck. After last season, having an all male deck crew could be either better or worse.

There's rarely an answer to why, but I guess just to be outrageous for its own sake.  The high-end celebrities who charter yachts are pushing things further than Hef did at the Playboy mansion or maybe even Epstein (who didn't kill himself) did at the island.  It's a different market level - it's the mega-MEGA-yacht market.  The point is, they wouldn't stand for a no coke, no overnight guests, only drive the Sea-Doo around the boat nonsense. If Lee tried his "That's it, charter's over!" with them, they'd make a call to the charter company and Lee would be replaced and the guest would get an apology - and the charter company would send over some companions for the evening and beg for their continued business.

BD isn't that.  BD is really for average people with a few bucks who want to have a memorable getaway.  That level seems to be a lot more restrictive or at least the rules are actually enforce for them.

I understand wanting to have a 24-hour drunken, drug fueled party!  And although MARITIME LAW forbids it, I am sure (check with Malia), why not get super wasted when out to sea?  But why kill a goat??  Is that a thing to do?  Where do you get the poor animal?  I am so horrified.

I'm assuming that mug has some major personal significance - maybe Captain Lee's deceased son gave it to him, or maybe someone made it for him (it almost looks like it was handmade).

I'm thinking if something happens to that mug, there will be a one-way ticket home from Captain Lee's Travel Agency for whoever is responsible!

If his grandmother had COVID and he was around her, he’d need to quarantine for at least two weeks. Perhaps the production crew wouldn’t let him return after possible exposure. Bummer because he was the one competent deck had.
