I think Erika brought it up because otherwise it'd be awkward silence until Denise returned. It was an enormous elephant in the room and had to do with him and his demeanor at the party, not his wife's. So might as well address it with him standing right there and nobody saying anything otherwise.

I'm starting to enjoy Sutton because she's so unpredictable, but I do worry she could accidentally snap one of those legs of hers in half.  She's cute with interesting fashion sense & those are the tiniest little legs I've ever seen!

The way Aaron defends Denise is so aggressive & condescending. Must be all the stress from being followed...

I actually really enjoy Sutton's sense of humor.  I also like her shift dresses.  Teddi needs to stop going to Kyle for clothing advice (if she still does).  With her means and cute figure I am surprised she chooses the least flattering maternity clothes available.

Lisa Rinna was so honest about the Roxie character lol. Maybe Denise shouldn’t be on this show. I was surprised she left Aaron there with the women lol. Aaron was probably being sarcastic about the “steaks and strippers” lol Sutton made me laugh with that comment lol. Now Erika knows she would “never curse” Tom out lol. I liked seeing Kim! I’ve always been a fan of hers. I actually think Kyle looks beautiful this season as ever. Garcelle is too perfect lol I wanna see more of her. Sutton seems jealous of Teddi to me.

I have an old friend who has talked about some strip joint that has awesome steaks so maybe it's a thing.

Why then did Erika start arguing with him while Denise was in the restroom?  Why did Teddi feel the need to chime in?  If they weren't trying to argue with Aaron, wait for Denise to return and ask to talk to her privately. And again, what are they looking for Denise to say?  It's like others have mentioned, the women have absolutely nothing to talk about aside from Denise, and she's just over it.

I also don't think she brought Aaron as a "weapon".  I think Denise works a lot and when she decides to go out socially, she wants to be with her husband.  She views the housewives events as obligations and plans to make an appearance and then enjoy the rest of her evening elsewhere.

I already said in my earlier post that Erika wasn’t arguing with Aaron.  I went back to the tape and typed what she said verbatim, her demeanor, and her tone, all in an effort to support my argument that Erika wasn’t fighting.  I don’t know now how, after typing all that, to continue to answer the question with regard to “why did Erika start arguing when Denise was in the restroom?”  She wasn’t arguing.  She was addressing a situation that Aaron caused that made her uncomfortable.  Same with Teddi.  That’s my opinion.  And I’ve given ample evidence to support my opinion.

I don’t understand the false equivalency of “if they weren’t trying to fight with Aaron, they necessarily would have waited for Denise.”  No, this is America, where women can talk to men and vice versa about uncomfortable topics without a fight breaking out.  Erika’s issue was with Aaron, so she brought it up to Aaron.

At the beginning, they weren’t looking for Denise to say anything, save Kyle, who wanted to talk about the weirdness of leaving her party so abruptly, which is why Erika didn’t wait around for Denise to start talking to Aaron.  That part is self-evident to me.

I feel like the “no one has anything to say unless they’re talking about Denise” argument was trotted out all of last season, except insert LVP for Denise.  So, that argument failed, and this argument is failing too.  If Denise continues to give them something to talk about, they will, and if she doesn’t, they’ll talk about something else, which is exactly what happened with LVP.

And, once again, I don’t know if there’s a point of continuing to argue this because I already addressed it at length, I have no objection to Denise bringing her husband places.  My problem is with his attitude.  That’s where I’m coming from when I say she’s weaponizing him.  I keep bringing it to his delivery and it keeps being brought back to his presence, which is starting to become a straw man argument to me.

I agree to disagree because I don’t think my points are being answered, thus I don’t think it would advance the discussion for me to continue to make the same assertions.

11 minutes ago, albarino said:

I swear these people need to go to etiquette class or something.  First, Kyle should have called Denise the next day to discuss how abruptly Denise and Aaron left Kyle's BBQ.  Denise was clearly done with the discussion but this particular group of women can't let anything go.  They could have "made nice" in the telephone call.

Second, you go to Sutton's event and Kyle has to bring up how quickly they left her event?  Time and place, people, time and place.

I don’t think Kyle owed Denise a call in this instance, just the way that I don’t think Denise owed Kyle a call when Kyle stomped out of Denise’s backyard in a childish fit.  The storming out is where the etiquette breach began, IMO, so that doesn’t really get rewarded to me, in my world, with a phone call the next day.  You storm out of my party like a little bitch? (This goes for Denise and Kyle).  I’m not going to bend over backwards to coddle you, but if I see you again, I might or might not say something.  If I’m on a TV show where I’m paid to drive drama, chances are I’m bringing it up quietly around a table.  I agree that it’s all shitty etiquette, but it’s also par for the course.  I doubt Sutton is complaining, because without drama, that trunk show would not have made it to air.

But Kyle is the one who made it awkward by declaring they needed to discuss it but wouldn’t discuss it without Denise. Instead Erika decided to pointedly ask him why he was an asshole. As much as I thought Aaron was a dick at Kyle’s I thought he handled Erika beautifully at that moment he asked what he said to offend her, she brought up the one comment he made that was legitimately accurate “look in a mirror and decide if this is the argument you want to continue to have and are you happy with it” and Erika said yes, I am and he replied that than what is the argument about. Erika and than Teddi sputtered to declare it wasn’t about them it was about him. But when he asked they resorted back to the notion that by saying something at the dinner he (and Denise) were being morally superior which than goes back to a the boring ass circular argument.

Kim looks like she’s well over 60 to me.  If I was hazarding a guess, I would put her at 65 or higher.  I could never, ever stand there topless with my sister in a doctor’s office, and I assume I would need eye bleach if I had to see my sister topless, unless it was a serious medical situation, not cosmetic/medical.  Who just stands up with their lab coat completely open, making idle conversation, with their necklaces and breasts out on display together?

What's wrong with being 60 and what's wrong with the human body?  Women have breasts, we're not born wearing clothes.  I've been in changing rooms in gyms and seeing other women topless doesn't freak me out at all.  I always thought I was strange for it being no big deal?

I think Kim looks older than 60 though, her skin looked like leather.

You can quote me & write another ten paragraphs and i still won't be convinced. We have different opinions on the ladies' intent and why they chose to address the matter without Denise present.  Agree to disagree & let's move on.

Can we talk.about Kyle's outfit on WWHL?  I also agreed with Sutton that Teddi's dress (romper?) was pretty terrible. The bow placement alone, just no.

Yes, I think so too. I think if Denise asked Aaron to stay with the kids, he would have. It seems like they legit are trying to spend time together and they are newlyweds. The other ladies have been married for a long time and are more settled in their relationships. Denise and Aaron are a relatively new couple and want to have fun and go out. Aaron was a bit of dick to the ladies, but I LOVED seeing a guy who was hot be an asshole to them. He's basically saying that he doesn't want to fuck any of them, he's not impressed, and his wife is better. I do love that. I think that Ericka, and really all of them, are just shocked that a man isn't kissing their ass. Having said that, I will say that is how I would feel if Aaron talked to me that way, given he's extremely attractive and I know his dick is big. Denise got her own porn star.

That’s like me asking what’s wrong with someone’s skin looking like leather—it’s an observation, not a denouncement.

I’m pointing out that a 55 year old woman looks 10 years older to me.  I don’t think it’s a flattering look, and I’m commenting on it.  If I thought Kim looked 20, would it be inferred that there’s something wrong with 20?

I feel like there’s a lot of age-baiting going on.  There are phenomena and patterns that accompany age, and as long as they are there, I will cheerfully point them out.

As far as what is wrong with the human body, I am just kind of amused at the question.  I don’t want to bare my breasts for my sister, and I don’t want her baring hers for me, so Kim and Kyle are different from my sister and me.  By this reasoning, every woman who bothers to wear a top at any time, or any person of either sex not going naked at any time can be taken as a statement on the impropriety on the naked body.  I can’t speak to that.

1 hour ago, Neurochick said:

This is reading so deep into something I didn’t say.

I was observing that RHBH is marginally better to me than RHNYC right now, and in comparing the two franchises, I noticed that RHBH has more women who are romantically intertwined with men, and that might make them more interesting for me to watch as Housewives.  If that’s going to be inferred as a sweeping statement about one segment of the population being “better” than another, I have no control over that.

I watch these shows and give my opinions.  I can’t be responsible for things I didn’t say.  On the day that I say that “sixty is gross, breasts are shameful, and only couples are worthy” will I be able to respond to these questions or comments.  I can’t comment on something I didn’t say or mean.

Pivoting back to the show, I don’t have a lot of patience for people who are looking to be offended.  If I thought the women were pouncing on Denise for mommy-shaming them, I’d be on her side, because I don’t like it when Kyle or Erika project their own stuff onto people who are making neutral statements about their own situations.  When Eileen said to Erika, “it’s not like she killed your kid” and Erika went into hysteria, I didn’t agree with that behavior.  It’s not a good look for Erika.  In this season, I see other things going on, but as soon as someone becomes someone’s victim, which Kyle has done a handful of times this season, I don’t have an iota of patience for her behavior.

I am copying and pasting someone’s posting from the Reality TV message board about this episode. I loved it so much that I have to share it. I hope that’s OK that I’m doing it.

Teddy also needs to go. What a boring sad sack of moldy potatoes. The fact that she can’t see how Denise being unaware that a child is standing behind her while she’s in the middle of an adult discussion is not the same as a group of women shouting out about sexual exploits in front of young girls shows her moral compass points one way and that up Kyles ass.

And earth to Erika your ice lady stare downs don’t scare anyone

Teddi gets it. She's just competitive and looking for something to call out. And she's a bitch and dumb. So she just see's something and quickly calls it out, thinking she's some hero first responder. Teddi and Kyle get along because they are both uneducated and have something to prove and insecure. The things Kyle says, that Teddi laughs at, she would use to shame someone else.

Most of the show was a snore (and I ff'd past Kyle and Kim - do not care about Kim one iota) but the look of panic on Aaron's face when Denise went to the washroom at Sutton's party was worth sitting through the parts of the episode that I did watch. I thought Erika did a great job of pointing out the condescending comments that Arron made to the women at Kyle's party. I laughed when Erika referenced Arron asking if the women could look at themselves in the mirror and Aaron said "Can you?" to which Erika replied "Yes." Aaron came back with "Then great, you've solved that problem". He is apparently unaware that it was only a problem to him. He really should not go into a battle of wits as he is totally unarmed.

I also was totally unimpressed with Aaron's driving lesson. While i give him props for his calm demeanor, no one learning to drive who is still not aware of which is the gas pedal and which is the brake should be driving on a busy road. And why are there others in the car? Ridiculous. And as others have asked, is there no requirement in California to display a decal on the back of a vehicle when a learner is behind the wheel? Or did Aaron just decide that rules don't apply to him? I wonder why he and Denise weren't freaked out that they may have been followed (by papps or the mysterious people that follow them) while an inexperienced driver is behind the wheel? I guess their paranoia is situational and a matter of convenience.

Loved that blue dress on Rinna - stunning.

I was surprised by the extra people in the car for the driving lesson, too.  Not allowed in our state.
MN, where we live, does not require  a “student driver” decal on a car, as far as I know.

Yeah the argument very much involved Aaron. He wasn't meddling in petty nonsense. I'm also over these grown big-mouth women acting like they're little girls afraid of a big guy. Just because Aaron is a man and has muscles doesn't mean he's going to hit you because he's been part of the verbal argument. Give me a break. Aaron was never threatening toward any of them. Because he happens to be a big guy, is he supposed to handle them with kid gloves??? I'm not saying he handled things perfectly, but I think his intentions were to protect his outnumbered wife from these toxic women.

I guess to them feminism means saying whatever the hell you want to men and other women, but men shouldn't dare speak up? I'm all for men respecting women, keeping their hands off, and being protective. I think it's ridiculous for these women to have a problem with a man having a voice regarding his wife and their children and behavior that took place at their own home. Some tough, strong women they are that they're uncomfortable with Aaron surrounded by all these people and cameras rolling!

Mauricio loved the cameras and had gotten involved with drama until the lawsuits. Remember he was even confrontational toward Brandi regarding what she said about Adrienne? Had nothing to do with him or his family. PK was also plenty involved until he got some heat for it. We all know Ken took up for Lisa. Tom's elderly and busy and isn't into the show. I suppose Edwin has behaved in a way no one really finds problematic. He shows up to support Teddi but doesn't meddle. But basically, Aaron isn't the first husband to be vocal.

Yes!  I don't recall ever minding when the husbands had something to say (not that I agreed with all of them or didn't call some of them stupid 😄 ) but I hate when the women go from bad-ass bitches to shrinking violets -  once again, they're not that good at acting.  I remember Ken telling Yolanda off a little, and she started screeching, "Eeek!  Don't touch me Ken!" and acting like he had hurt her.

Based on the post you quoted which is not showing up here - I believe the point of that was not that it makes them better, but that because they are married it's normal for them to bring their husbands to events.  That's what I took from it anyway 🙂

I'm not aware of any state requiring that.  If you take driving lessons from a driving school they have marked cars; if you are doing it on your own there's no marker.

it’s not Erika’s fault if Aaron stands there like a dunderhead saying, “Are you?”   After some juvenile arguing where Aaron is apparently taking his plays out of the PeeWee Herman Handbook of “I know you are, but what am I?” the two babies take their toys and go home.  Again.

Yeah, it's fine with me if he wants to fight but he didn't exactly have a point to make. He didn't say they shouldn't be happy with themselves when the look in the mirror, he just...asked suggested they look in a mirror and pointedly asked them if they were happy with themselves. Totally not the same thing.

It's still funny that they get into it with this guy without anybody bringing up that as nice as he is with his stepchildren, he's a delusional fool who claims he knows so much about cancer that Big Pharma follow him in his car (but continue to let him live for...probably scary reasons!).

Interesting. I live in Canada, and I know requirements vary from province to province. Where I live (B.C.) anyone learning to drive must have an L decal displayed on the back of the vehicle anytime they are driving. After they obtain their license they must display a N decal (for novice) for a minimum two year period (which carries restrictions) before graduating to a full license. I like our system.

I kind of feel bad for Teddi.  Every time she asserts herself or gives her opinion she gets shut down.  Last week Kyle, Rinna and Erika engaged with Aaron and all Teddi did was say "Thank you" and Denise calls her a shit stirrer.  I for one am not anywhere near on the side of Denise and Boreon.  They went to Kyle's barbecue loaded for bear and she did say she didn't want to bring her kids around the group.  They were the shit stirrers.

On another note, it's weird that Garcelle's boys are twins but one looks like he could be a whole year older than the other one.

Both Denise and Teddi said Denise brought it up to Teddi and Dorrit when they were having facials or a spa day on that trip they took.  Teddi then referenced what Denise told them at Kyle's BBQ.  And they all heard Denise say she would no longer bring her kids around this group.

With regards to Aaron crushing Denises hand while leaving Sutton’s party - I’m sure he said to Denise “You’re crushing my hand”, or “Stop crushing my hand”.   Not that he was crushing hers.

I don’t know if it’s the law, but I see cars around here all the time with a “Permit Driver” sticker in the back glass, including my neighbors car and they aren’t a student driver teacher, they have a learning driver in their household.

Aaron seems stoned ALL THE TIME.  Fine, whatever, but maybe not when you are trying to teach your kids how to drive?  Maybe he is just low energy, IDK.

Also not sure why Denise and the other daughter were in the vehicle.  That was distracting and usually not allowed for permit drivers.  It didn’t bother me, though, about her pulling out into traffic, you have to learn somewhere.  That’s the whole point.

I am not warming up to Garcelle, although I did love her leopard print cardigan.  I was multi tasking (working) while I had this on and had to look up from my computer a few times when she was talking because her voice sounds exactly like Countess Luann to me.  This is the first time I noticed that.

This episode was a long wait for a whole lot of nothing.

I have to record this and play black so I can fast forward through any scene having to do with Teddi and for this one I had way too much Kim to FF through. I am sure Kyle made it all about her anyway, but I had enough of Kim ye as rs ago. As such, it was a short show. Obviously, the mean girlrks need a target every season. Kyke might have tried to make it Dorit for a minute, which I could have really gotten behind.  Obviously, they settled on Denise. Clearly Denise has a type in men. Crazy. However, she appears quite capable of holding her own. Since Covid has decimated TV programming for a long time I am bored enough to consider trying, yet again. To watch Potomac when it comes back, I am going to keep fast forwarding through the mean girls of Beverly Hills. I am team Denise mainly because, although I am pretty "meh" on her and I think Aaron is weird, I dislike all the other women so much more.

It’s not like that in Ontario where I live but was the requirement in England where I grew up. Learner drivers had a red L attached to the car until they passed the test. Same thing with city bus and lorry drivers while learning.  It’s a great idea as other drivers on the road are more tolerant as they know you’re still learning.

If the  kids hadn’t been at that bbq to hear the sex talk.. what would their knickers be in a twist about? There’s nothing else.

trust me they would have found something else to attack Denise with .... this twisting of the situation into "mommy shamming" so they became the victims  proves that

The fact that they are going after Denise’s marriage later this season is foreshadowed by their attempts at shaming Aaron. With bogus claims of “fear” at him talking to them. They are after Denise in the same way as they were LVP last year because both of them are more popular and accomplished then these sad excuses for housewives.

I grew up in Ontario, but haven't lived there since the late 70s. Of course in those days there was no such thing as graduated licensing, or L decals.  I wasn't sure about the L now,  but do like that Ontario as well has graduated licensing. I agree that the L is a good idea, for the exact reason you have stated.

I forgot to add to my previous post that I thought it was hilarious that Denise was saying in her TH that she didn't know that Phoenix was there when she was dropping the f bombs, and Aaron behind her says "Who's Phoenix?"

Also not sure why Denise and the other daughter were in the vehicle.  That was distracting and usually not allowed for permit drivers.  It didn’t bother me, though, about her pulling out into traffic, you have to learn somewhere.  That’s the whole point.

Oh I totally agree that you have to drive in traffic at some point. But if you still mix up the gas and brake pedals, you should be driving in an empty parking lot. You are not only putting yourself at risk, but every other driver around you.

My problem with this show is that the thrill is gone.   I tried to watch this episode simply because there was nothing on tv at all at the time and even though I said I would not watch it  after LVP left I wanted to have that experience I remembered having when the show began. I turned it off after Denise left the BBQ because I couldn't take it anymore it was so stupid.

Frankly, the show is spent IMO.  I loved it in the beginning because I was curious about these people and interested.  Now, either the show changed or I did or both.  I don't find them interesting at all.  I don't find them nice either.  I find it impossible to care what happens to them so even the smallest distraction gets priority over watching their boring, nasty, self involved lives.  The way they dress, the way they act leaves me anxious and disgusted.

I do like the discussion here though, and so I read about episodes I had no patience to sit through.

I wish Bravo would come up with something good because the newer stuff is all terrible IMO.  I watch it less and less.

Maybe I'll have to sit at a table for one but I think Denise and Aaron are complete weirdos and despite how annoying the other women are, I cannot root for them. Aaron's mansplaining and excessive need to be so chill and shut everything down on his terms is so reminiscent of male attorneys I deal with that I'm just like no thanks, goodbye. And I love Teddi, so I am already sitting by myself anyway lol.

Save me a seat!  I’m indifferent on Teddi. She doesn’t bother me and I was completely on her side in season 1 over late gate with Dorit.  I’ll take her over the likes of Brandi any day, though.    So, at the end of the day I’m more on Teddi’s side than against her.

Aaron is weird.  I’m with @Baltimore Betty he is alright to look at, but that’s about all I can take from him.

I also think Aaron is on the show simply to promote his business and that is why he attends and gets in film time as much as he can.  I also think that is why Denise is on the show, it is a great way to get Aaron's name out there for whatever the hell he does.

Erika is hard as nails.

Just read her book out of curiosity and boredom.  Seems as if she set the record straight to her advantage about all bad things said about her.  Except not having a father figure, her life wasn’t that bad.  She strived for what she wanted,  a Broadway dancer, but wound up with something not so appealing IMO.  Plus, many women have been in Cabaret over the years, even Wendy Williams.

Nobody does that more than Maugreasio. They are always talking about his agency or having a party every year. Aaron is far from the worst offender.

Aaron and Denise are this years designated targets and these worthless clowns are trying their best to destroy their marriage.

They also have some pretty major things going on in their own lives that they do not want to talk about on camera.  Dorit, PK and their finances, Mauricio and his lawsuit, Tom and his lawsuits, and whatever it is that keeps Harry as far away from his loving wife as possible.  These women are also not smart enough to create engaging fake storylines to make up for what they don't want shown.  So they attack LVP and now Denise to appease the cameras.  There also seems to be a lot more footage on the cutting room floor this season as well.  It appears there were multiple events where cameras were present, but very little of that footage has appeared.

I get what Denise is doing here.  She is stuck in this circular argument with the women, and the only way to end it is to walk away.  She has calmly stated her case, but she is not giving them the answer they want.  Walking away is her only option.   And the viewers are stuck watching the same shit as last season with LVP.  Yawn.

I’m wondering why Denise went on this show in the first place.
