Popular Post ancslove May 15, 2020 Popular Post Share May 15, 2020 I'm really hoping that this is the season where everyone holds Dorinda's feet to the fire. I think she's kind of skated through because her anger can sometimes be funny for viewers, and previous seasons had Sonja's depressing delusions, Bethenny's meltdowns, and Luann's high-handed arrogance. But by now, everyone on and off the show has learned what happens when Dorinda gets drunk and vicious. Tinsley's defense of herself this episode was perfectly coherent, and it's a shame that everyone dismissed her because her vocal pitch was "too high" for their liking. Also interesting for Ramona to confirm that she's afraid of Dorinda. 53 Link to comment

And some of the posters here have shared that they have lost their spouse. My sincere sympathy to everyone who has gone through such a terrible loss. However, of all the friends and relatives I have who have lost spouses, no one - not one - has treated people the way Dorinda does. And not to make comparisons, but my mom lost the love of her life (my dad) unexpectedly after 45 years of marriage. Over the next 11 years (not much different than the time Dorinda has been a widow) she developed breast cancer twice, suffered a stroke where she lost her ability to speak, developed other illnesses including seizure disorder, and died of pancreatic cancer. She lived those last 11 years with grace, kindness, and dignity. Because that is who she was. Dorinda is a mean person because that is who she is. 69 Link to comment

Oh, and it wasn't just falling in the bushes, dear. Aside from the arrest, Bethenny broke the 4th wall and told the story on camera about you calling her ex and asking for 6 million dollars and you running through a field in the dark falling down drunk while your friends tried to catch you before you had an accident. Again, you fucking elitist delusional bitch. Sonya with her disgusting sexual comments does she think she's Samantha from Sex and the City? She turns off every man that comes within 6 feet of her. Not to mention therapy for the men who are sexually harassed by Sonja, Ramona and Lu. For fuck sake...I don’t think a bunch of drunken frat guys would destroy shit like these women. I’ve seen a classroom full of kindergarteners with behavior issues act more respectfully. Climbing the apple trees? Ripping off ears of corn and stuffing them in your purse? Taking a piss in the middle of a corn maze where other guests will be walking through??? I guarantee Sonja and Leah left their used toilet paper or corn leaves behind in the maze. All this atrocious behavior on top of drunkenly screaming at each other as other paying customers tried to have a nice lunch is appalling. Messy Drunk Sonja has never been funny to me. It is sad and distressing, and it gets worse every season. I am no Prohibitionist and enjoy letting lose with a few drinks. But as a 40+ year old mother to a teen daughter, slurring my ramblings, flashing my pubic area or boobs, and molesting anyone sitting near me is just not anything that would ever happen. ancslove May 15, 2020 Share May 15, 2020 Arguably, Bethenny has said worse to Luann. But with Dorinda, it's the long, drawn-out mockery that tips her over the edge. Sonja is a bad drunk who'd be charged with sexual harassment if she were a man (and she should have stayed out of the D/T fight), but at least she's not deliberately cruel. 18 Link to comment

I was thinking the same thing about Dorinda (comparing tonight to past episodes with Bethenny) - the mockery and faux outrage at Tinsley's rebuttal is what made Dorinda a total bully tonight. It was sad, really, because I usually do like Dorinda, except for when she acts like she did tonight. I don't know if there is more to the story that we are not privy to because it happened off camera or when they weren't filming, or if it is just that Dorinda truly doesn't like Tinsley, for whatever reason. Either way, it was uncomfortable to watch. I guess we'll see this all play out as Tinsley supposedly distances herself more and more from the group as the season goes on, from what we've read and seen in the press. I can't say I blame her after tonight's episode. 16 Link to comment

I actually loved Sonja's townhouse, even if it was falling apart. I agree with all of this so thoroughly (except the part about loving Sonja’s townhouse—that place always looked like it smelled bad to me). Yes, living in NYC is insanely expensive. I’m sure Leah’s apartment is at least $5,000 a month, but...it looks like hell. It’s small and white and boring like Dorinda’s apartment. I’d rather live in an outer borough like Alex McCord than live like that. They seem to either be renting or too lazy to put up a nice coat of paint. I’ve always thought Ramona’s apartment was ok, about equal with Jill’s, but not the real estate for which we tune in. Notice how we never see Ramona’s kitchen? I would say they are in the middle, on par with Kristen’s, Jules’s and Carole’s apartments. They might be extremely expensive. But they’re not nice. The apartments don’t have to be Bethenny-level nice for me to appreciate them. People who have had fabulous Manhattan apartments on this show in the past have been Kelly, Jennifer Gilbert, Cindy, and Aviva probably just barely. I am talking high ceilings, marble, modern kitchens and bathrooms, lots of space, closet space, and no freaking wires sticking out everywhere. In other words, just places I like to see. If they don’t film them at home—if they can’t keep up—I don’t really think they should be on the show. Having a great home should be part of it. I mentioned that I am re-watching season five right now and they simply never show Heather at home because she doesn’t live in NYC, and it really affects how I view her in a negative way. We should be able to see their homes, and they should have great real estate in New York City, even if it’s not at a Bethenny level. It’s expensive, but that’s one of the reasons New York is considered the best. Edited May 15, 2020 by LibertarianSlut Another thing 8 Link to comment

Her large, probably "classic six" on the Upper East Side was everything I dreamed about when I was a teenager who wanted to live in the city. I even liked it when everyone else said that the aparment was dated. Her renovations were well done, although I thought the apartment lost some of it's character and became another white on white on white box, like so many other apartments and homes right now. Her new apartment, while nice, just seems a little cold to me - it's like Ramona decorated it from a ZGallerie catalog - just more white on white on beige - no personality. She decorated it like a model home - ready for re-sale. The only lacking in both of Ramona's apartments (old and new) is any kind of outdoor space or terrace. Until Bethenny started making Skinnygirl money and buying/renovating/selling apartments as a hobby, Ramona's apartment and Sonja's townhouse still stand out as the best NYC real estate. Kelly had a nice apartment, too, iirc. Jill's apartment was tiny, Luann's townhouse was also small (and a rental, if I recall correctly), Alex's Brooklyn townhouse was always under construction, Bethenny lived in teeny, tiny apartments. Carole's apartment was also okay, but again, I think it was only three rooms with a scary staircase. Dorinda's apartments were both small. I can't remember Aviva's, Kristen's or Heather's places. She's the brunette who lived in the Flatiron area, right? 19th St? I remember her going to this place near me, with Bethenny I think - The Tipsy Parson. $17 for avocado toast. 😂😂 I used to walk past there going to the lovely, inexpensive Zemi. $11 for yummy pan roasted flounder in lemon butter caper sauce. 7 Link to comment

Also Carole's apartment was amazing , before and after her redecorating. To say that Carole's Soho Duplex is "not nice"? I disagree. https://www.architecturaldigest.com/story/carole-radziwill-gives-ad-a-tour-of-her-soho-duplex this apt looks much larger than i remember. it looked small when she was dating adam. 2 Link to comment
