Ugh. Sonja. Leah was right on the money when she compared Lady of the Manor Mrs. Morgan with Turned Up Sonja. She is so nasty. Like, I wouldn't shake her hands without medically treated gloves nasty. Her Wet n' Wild persona isn't fun; it's desperate attention-seeking.

I had to work on a grad school project, so I missed the first half. I came in as Dorinda was wailing about wanting to die when Richard dies. I'm pretty sure a part of her did. When she acknowledges and deals with it, she can begin to move on. And she needs to move on. I'm glad she cut John loose. Maybe she can learn to be alone peacefully then learn how to handle her anger.

One More Thing: John the successful (slightly smarmy) entrepreneur is so beneath this crowd, but Sonja of the Brown Water and Public Urination (2nd time on camera this season) is acceptable company?

The “friend of Ramona” (Elyse) needs to go.  She’s as dull AF - no personality whatsoever.  The dialogue between the ladies is being stretched quite a bit more this season so can sense the producers’ struggle but that chick brings absolutely nothing to the show.

Gee, Dorinda, so life didn’t work out like you planned. Welcome to the world. I’ve never gotten the “ charm” of Dorinda that so many others see. I think she’s an entitled, snobby and pretty mean, nasty person. I know she thinks it’s beneath her but she’s just as much of an alcoholic as Sonia, Luann and Leah but alcohol doesn’t make her silly & fun. It makes her a viper. And though I think Tinsley is kind of a crybaby, she’s really about the only person on this show that doesn’t attack others for no reason.  All of these Housewives shows seem so sad and superficial when we think about what’s going on in the real world.  I think their popularity is going to stop dropping - I have a hard time listening to rich drunk ladies  scream  At each other.

Luann is so relieved that she doesn’t have to pretend to be sober on camera anymore that she’s positively punch-drunk (pardon the pun).  

I was watching season five, and Sonja had moments of lucidity, even when it appeared she had been drinking.  Now she gets sloppy drunk and probably blacked out every time she’s on the show.  Last season Luann hypothesized that Sonja was on uppers, and it did appear that way last year.  This year, it seems like she’s talking something more than alcohol.  She’s so loony and hard to reach whenever she starts drinking.  

Sonja and Dorinda are the biggest drunks across the Housewives franchises, probably since the Housewives began in 2006.  Sonja relieving herself on TV is some of the worst behavior I’ve ever seen on this show.  She and Dorinda The Incredible Hulk need to be on their own island, or at least their own show, away somewhere. 

I loved that Tinsley climbed the tree after fighting with Dorinda.  It seemed like she was truly over it, and not pretending or trying to be kooky.  Last week she was charming going down the slide, and this week she’s climbing an apple tree.  Tinsley is so much better than these women.  I’m starting to understand why she hasn’t really engaged in the past.  

There’s no winning with someone like Sonja or Dorinda.  They remind me so much of the saying not to wrestle in the mud with a pig, because the pig will enjoy it.  

I feel like this season is shaping into three tiers—the lowest tier is Dorinda and Sonja, which, nothing left to say.  The second tier is Leah and Luann, both affirming to each other that alcohol isn’t the problem.  The third tier and the people who are the best this season are Tinsley and Ramona.  Ramona is having a really good season.  She has somehow managed to bridge the divide between drunk, scary, and crazy and decent.  

Dorinda being all worried about how John is going to perceive “Dorinda Medley” is such a good example of her personality.  Forget John’s feelings and whether he was hurt; let’s just make sure he doesn’t walk away from a table saying something negative about “Dorinda Medley.”  She’s gross.  

I’m not sure how Sonja even enjoys sex at this point.  She seems like she’d have whatever the woman’s equivalent to whiskey dick.  

I felt so bad for Tinsley that she even felt it necessary to reply to Sonja saying Tinsley would do anything with a small dick as long as it got her a diamond tennis bracelet.  Tinsley did not need to dignify that comment with any kind of response.  And we’re supposed to belief that Sonja wouldn’t go dick diving for jewelry?  Bullshit.  There’s just no one who wants to fuck her or give her jewelry.  

Whatever happened to Tom, Sonja’s “lover of ten years”?  Now that he and Luann are divorced, one would think he would go right back to fucking Sonja, but funny how we haven’t heard anything about that.  A bald lying cheating mama’s boy who trolled the show since season one is too good for her.  Harry Dubin is too good for her.  

No one wants anything from Sonja Morgan, other than distance, and Dorinda is starting to follow her right down that path, and I think she knows it deep down.  John was way too good for her.  Maybe that’s why Dorinda didn’t want to talk about it.  Maybe, to paraphrase Michael Scott from The Office, the breakup wasn’t so mutual after all.

While I think that Dorinda has an anger problem when she drinks, I actually think that Sonja is the biggest alcoholic in this group.

I am.  For the exact same reasons as Dorinda.  I planned on driving around the country in an RV and being camp hosts and bickering at each other and always having to cook extra bacon so there's some for the table.  

There is always anger.  You should however, learn to channel that anger so your not screaming at somebody.  Sometimes I get so mad, I well up with tears, but I do try not to effect other people.   It's not a constant thing, but sometimes when life overwhelms you, you become acutely aware of how alone you are.

The alcohol, John, unable to cope?  Richard's death has a root in all of it.

It is something you can't understand until you experience it yourself.  I dont mean that as a slight, but the gauntlet of emotions you experience doesn't have an expiration date on this one.

100% the reason I can’t and won’t ever hate Dorinda. I think, and I commented it last week too, she’s finally facing her grief, and pushing it off for so long, it dropped on her like a ton of bricks. It doesn’t excuse her behavior, but her behavior isn’t happening bc she’s just a mean and nasty person at her core. We all know that’s not who she is. I think she’s in an excruciating amount of pain and she can’t control it. 

I for one am sick of Tinsley’s sweet act and her god awful extended screams. Dorinda may be playing a bully, but Tinsley’s playing the sweet and innocent victim pretty well too, and it has us all talking. 

God I love this show.

Also in this instance you can't accuse someone of playing the victim when some other person starts yelling and mocking them with the fake crying. Dorinda makes Tinsley the victim by being a cartoon bully--and then five minutes later howling like a dying cow over her own life. Anybody can set her off. Tinsley just does it by simply existing.

Tonight was very uncomfortable to watch, imo. 

Seeing two mature women spiraling out of control is no fun.  It wasn't fun watching Kelly's crazy spiral during the Scary Island episodes, and this, to me, was worse in some ways.

Dorinda has not yet accepted Richard's death - she has not gone through all the stages of grief.  She must have really, really loved him.  She is still angry at him for dying, and she hasn't moved to acceptance.  I wonder if that was because of the lifestyle she and Richard had - you know, "stiff upper lip and all that", or having friends convince her that getting back into the world will help her heal and move on, so she did that, and tamped down all her grief, putting on a brave face.  She is broken on the inside - she needs to fix herself, and alcohol isn't fixing anything.  

Sonja is just a sad charicature of what she once was.  She is losing her looks, her figure and her appeal.  She is bloated, her skin looks awful, and, as the sommelier said - she is one hot mess.  It is not attractive, nor is it cute, for a 50-something woman to be screaming at the top of her lungs about sex.  Nor is it cute or funny to see a 50-something woman try to be coy and sexy, while drunkenly slurring her words and peeing in a cornfield in the early part of the afternoon.  It's just sad and pathetic.  

I didn't enjoy this episode one bit. 

Oh, maybe except for Ramona.  She is doing all the right things so far.....but, it's still early in the season - I'm sure she'll screw up somewhere!
