This a very serious mental health and the American soaps are terrible with these type of stories.Plus I don't know if the network would approve of s story like this.

I do think it would be an interesting story to do though.On hollyoaks they had Lily who was a self harmer and  they actually killed her off as a result of it.She ended up getting sepsis from self harming.

Well, they might not kill her off because of it,  but soaps have done mental health stories before, and they have not been terrible. if they wanted to make Esme a cutter, they could.

She's not a cutter. It's a mechanism for her to help her to try and keep her anger under control.

I have a nephew who was diagnosed with autism when he was very very young. He was Leo-like and especially hated to be touched or hugged. He saw specialists, had some personalized therapy for speech etc and my Mom for some reason was able to break thru in ways the specialists couldn't when it came to touching and hugging him. Long story short, he's an adult now with a job he loves and unless you knew his history you'd never know he was on the spectrum. My point is, fuck off Olivia and stop acting as if autism etc is something to hide or a reflection of your Mothering skills. Also, get your Sonny and Carly ass-kissing mouth off of Robert Scorpio's lips!!!

When Robert said the kiss meant something I was waiting for him to add "to you". I just can not buy those two as a real pairing because RFS deserves way better than Olivia, anyone who had sex with Sonny isn't good enough for Robert*.

 

*scanning my brain for anyone who slept with both RFS and Sonny and thankfully can't think of anybody. If I'm wrong I'd rather pretend I'm right 😂

I prefer to believe that two older adults subscribed for a month to see Hamilton and The Mandalorian, then unsubscribed after they realized there wasn't much more that would appeal to people their age. Then Esme and Spencer decided to subscribe again, believing they'd never get caught adding such a small charge to Kevin and Laura's bill.

I would assume the Disney Plus talk is within contractual obligations as Disney owns ABC, but it would make more sense for them to plug Hulu since that's the service that carries General Hospital, but whatever.

Not if they are also pandering to the Canadian audience. As far as I know, we don't have Hulu, but we have access to Disney+.

She was making a fist so hard during her conversation with Trina, that her nails embedded into her palm.

Did anyone fail to guess that Hat Man is Curtis' father? Worst kept reveal in the world., but kudos for casting someone who looks like he could be Curtis' father.  The photo was dated 1985 which would make Curtis born 1982 or later. I think he looks older than 39 but maybe it's the grey.

JPS's French accent is getting better. I almost understood him there.

Portia's and Esme's dresses made me think that I was back in the 60s again. Is Esme shopping at vintage stores because she's broke? I swear my older cousin had that dress.

Trina, Spencer is not independent, he's living at Kevin's. That's why he can afford to be on a busboy salary.

The show wants Curtis and Shawn prominent because they're pretty and they're African-American but it really doesn't know what to do with them.

I won't forgive Portia for her Corinthos ass-kissing but at least she saw through Esme even if she can't see through Carly and Sonny.

The actor will be 49 in January, so you aren't wrong.

 

This might need to be posted in the Unpopular Opinions thread, but I'm okay with this story. But I like Curtis a lot. I didn't enjoy him with nuJordan or during the weird triangle story with Portia, but I've enjoyed him the rest of the time. If I can't get a good storyline with him being friends with Drew, I'd settle for a good family storyline. Emphasis on good, though.

I don't mind curtis either (though he gets his fair share of shut ups sometimes) but i just mean... I don't think we needed a "oh you're my long lost daddy who... left for some reason." storyline. (well I am going to die on this hill, but i wanted that to go towards AJ having a kid he didn't mention when he was in town only because i want Monica to have a grandkid that's not mob connected).

like unless they are going to go All My Children and he was kidnapped by a jewel thief for years and years and was now released...i dunnoo.

Hmm.  Now that you've posed the question, why exactly is Sonny considered "the most feared Don on the East Coast?" He hasn't earned anything. Sonny got his original territory when Luke killed Frank Smith. It wasn't like he really took anything. And now he gets the Novak territory because Curtis's daddy beat Joey Novak to a pulp and stupid Joey thinks Sonny had something to do with it. Sonny is a Punk and nothing without St. Jasus.

And it's not as if Jason really adds much value. He does Sonny's dirty work, but that has been few and far between for a while now. The show seems to be very slowly backing away from the mob, but it can't do the logical story and have Sonny decide to be done with it and decide to concentrate on the coffee business from now on. More's the pity, and it could give MB a lot to do. But maybe he doesn't want a lot to do. It's not as if being Mike was such a creative challenge, despite the crap he was telling the soap press.

Nikolas did put on that Dollar Store Scream mask on and terrorize the kids at the party.  And a lot of Spencer's acting out was in response to Nikolas' actions.

I like Curtis, but another Who's the Daddy/I'm Your Daddy story is just so boring. We have umpteen of those already going on right now!! How hard is it to come up with some fresh story-telling.

While I was looking to see if today was pre-empted, I came across a tweet by NLG that implied Ingo was fired cuz he won't get vaccinated. Is this true? And if they are going to kill Jax, I hope they take him out in a way that turns Joss against Carly/the mob. Just something that is actually dramatic for a change.

Esme is being all kinds of extra obviously weird about insinuating Trina and Cam have a thing going on. Luckily for her Spencer doesn’t seem too bright. Portia loving the mob is of course dumb but that moment where Trina put her head on her moms shoulder was pretty cute.

Curtis finding out that Marshall is his dad was well acted.

I sort of enjoyed troublemaker Assme, but I also enjoyed Cam not having any of it. Spence seemed to be the stupid teen here, just to then pick a brain wondering why Assme was repeatedly talking about Cam being interested in Trina ... just to again not recognize Assme's odd behaviour.

Interesting chat between BLQ and Chase. Nice touch that Chase does not believe her.

As handsome as he is, and as IMO interesting Brando was when he originally appeared almost two years ago, he unfortunately has become the most useless character ever by now. I am almost glad that Gladys is there to annoy him. Nice to see hot funny Kip again. Him and Glad together should be comedy gold in tomorrow's episode.

Scotty and RFS (and Victor) together in jail. Has it been more than 30 years that those two Golden Age boys have had a good scene together?

Anna tossing the syringe into Peter's thug was kinda cool, as were Valentin and Anna interrogating him as a team.

Too much talk about Peter is kinda annoying, even if he was not in the episode at all.

All in all an entertaining episode, and no Minny in the previews.

BTW I got censored on SOC for calling Minny Minny, because nick name ...
and I am a little proud of that lol.
