I haven’t had a rage induced feeling this season so far, but better late than never.  I’ll start with the minor: Aaron is no longer good looking to me, especially with the eye rolls during the 2nd TC.  Dean was a weasel to Kellee after she saved his dopey behind last week.  Dan the perv saying “yeah, put your torch in there” after Kellee got blindsided.  The smirks Tommy and Lauren made when Kellee was out of the first IC.  Lauren with her arrogant looks during the second TC.

I thought the producers handled the Dan situation very well, but it all went south during the second hour.  Missy and Elizabeth are a joke.  I lost respect for them tonight.  It disgusts me when they keep saying they separating an extremely serious issue with the game.  They were totally crying about Dan making them feel uncomfortable, then say it was meant as a joke, and then throw Janet under the bus?  Janet is a queen.  I already loved the woman, but she is one of the best.  Check SM girl, you are still loved and not the scourge of the Earth.  Missy and Elizabeth on the other hand might want to stay off SM for awhile.  

Hot damn if I didn’t love Jeff tonight.  And Jamal is my Survivor crush this season.  I take back every bad thing I said about him.  I seriously hope Janet, Noura, and Karishma can turn the tide, because the thought of those 3 being the next to go and being left with the rest is nauseating.

The bullshit aside of these shitty people throwing Janet under the bus for things they told her to do... are these people really pretending that personal preferences of people don't affect who they vote out? The first half of the game is 'i don't like them so I vote them'. Now suddenly bringing up "I am deeply uncomfortable and I'd like to not exist this way anymore" is too personal and should be left out of gameplay?

This was the most frustrating episode of Survivor in a long time. This was such a picture of our generation - lots of "I have a mother" "I work with women" and the person who speaks up about their uncomfortableness and the man who supports her both get voted out. Perfect.

I understand this is probably going against the mature theme of the episode, but it would strictly be for research purposes, so if they could show Aaron standing in his underwear in that one position from the first immunity challenge, focusing on the strength of his thighs, on a loop, that would be fine.  

Now if only he could stay silent.

Okay, before this thread gets messy as I’m sure it will as I expect this episode to create A LOT of dialogue online, I’ll focus on the actual game part first. Blindsided with two idols. Congratulations Kellee. And that ladies and gentleman is the definition of over thinking yourself right out of the game. How’d that plan to blindside loyal Jack and save Dean, work out for you Kellee?

Not only did Dean sit back and let her drown, he helped shove her down by writing her name. And again, who the hell, when you’re not 100% comfortable, doesn’t play an idol when you have two. Again, you know who, someone overthinking and playing two or three tribals ahead, without remembering that you have to get past said tribal council to get to the next one.

Btw, I also loved when nutty Noura blew up her spot mere minutes after the tribal council and says that it was Kellee’s idea to go for Jack. I especially cracked up when Jamal immediately figured out that Kellee was trying to play a low key sneaky game, except she tried to pull it off with someone as nutty and unpredictable as Noura. And he seemed so understandably amused by that.

I can’t stand Tommy and Lauren. Tommy was only pressed because Kellee and Janet weren’t going to do what HE wants and so obviously that must mean he and Lauren should go side with the group of people that already showed them that they’re NOT loyal to any alliance with them, when they booted Jason.

But sure, allow them to get the numbers because they’re really going to be top dog in that group. Whatever. And sure enough, they’re picking old Vokai off one by one. Awesome.

And now my only contribution to what is sure to be a heated discussion is simply this – FUCK YOU Missy and Elizabeth for using something so serious as “game play”. Because you know women don’t have enough of a problem being believed.

I have never been more disgusted as a woman watching this show and there have been plenty of people I’ve really disliked. Especially you Elizabeth. Happily discussing playing up stories about inappropriate touching if it gets you numbers. Wow, just wow.

FUCK YOU Aaron, you arrogant, condescending, obnoxious dick. And FUCK YOU Dan for being a creepy, handsy pervert. Because that speech was complete bullshit since Dan’s full of shit to pretend he was completely unaware of how he was coming across, since Kellee had a conversation with him about his behavior in the first few days of the game.

He fucking knew and he kept doing it. I liked that the producers showed the clips to back up everything Kellee said, making it clear how she would let him know she didn’t like him touching her and he kept doing it. And fuck out of here with that I have a wife and two sons. And?

Best episode of Survivor in many, many seasons and one people will be discussing for a very long time. I was riveted. I even ended up crying during TC which NEVER HAPPENS. 

It was such a roller coaster but in the end very satisfying, although I was sad to see Jamal go.

That was so deeply uncomfortable. I don't know if I've ever felt so uneasy watching this show. I'm not sure how I feel with everything that went down, especially between Missy, Elizabeth, and Janet. Still processing.

I do think Kellee got too smug and started to over play and strategize. I never dreamed Dean would outlast her and even vote her out right after she saved him.

I can’t believe how many of them I hate.  It is easier to list who I love.   Janet.  That is it.  
Elizabeth is such a disgusting person, pretending to be a victim to trick Janet.   I know lying is part of Survivor, but there are just some things you don’t lie about.  
And Dan is quite the actor.  If they didn’t have his actions on tape....

And that whole “why didn’t they say something discussion...” everyone knows that the complainers generally get the rep of being a troublemaker and pay a harsh price for speaking up.

I actually forgot one, but at the end, when Jamal was voted out, Lauren turned her back to Janet and grabbed Missy's hand.  Way not to make the woman who just said she felt alone feel alone Lauren.  

I also loved Jeff saying he'd be there until day 39 if he had to..  Sometimes he comes through and surprises. 

And I loved the look Kellee and Jack gave when Aaron openly said who voted Kellee off the last episode.  Chelsea was right, there's too much big move-itis this season.

Ah, Kellee. You were the one who I finally picked as my winner and then you go and not play either of your two Idols for your first Merge. That's on you. But it's still a shame, because this entire episode showed me that I don't like anyone but Kellee (gone) and Janet. I kind of like Dean, and Jamal had some good moments here until he got voted out.

But man....I honestly don't know if I've felt pissed about reality show contestants since....ok, since Big Brother 21, but still. Elizabeth has been solidified in the I HATE YOU column. She might be the actual worst with playing Janet, making it seem like she felt uncomfortable with Dan, but confirming in her TH that she didn't believe a word that was being thrown around and then completely threw Janet under the bus.

Let me be clear, Missy is no better...she may be worse since we know she truly felt the same as Kellee, Noura, and a couple of the other women and STILL stayed silent and even lied to Dan's face! But at least, with Missy, I can kind of see where her motivation to keep quiet may come from, similar to Kellee telling the producer to not do anything about it because they're still playing a game. However, I'm still mad at Missy because she didn't even seem to feel guilty for staying silent as everyone attacked Janet. So, any ounce of empathy I had is fully gone.

Aaron's smug ass face tonight pissed me off too, especially in the second TC when he completely dismissed the possibility of Dan harrassing the women. Jamal may be a smug condescending ass a lot of the time, but when he told Aaron off, I did end up liking him a little bit more. 

Dan...urg, don't get me started on his whole "SO WE'RE NEVER LETTING THIS GO." It's just clear that he really is more upset that it's being publicized on national television. Now, it's not great for Jeff to have it the focal point of the entire TC, but it's also an important discussion to be had because it affects the game. So yeah, good on Jeff for NOT LETTING THIS GO.

Lauren and Tommy aren't likeable at all. I get that they were happy to see Kellee drop in the challenge, but still, it irritated me. 

Who's next on my shit list? Oh yeah, Karishma, because all of her Talking Heads have sounded smug, as if she has any idea on what's going on.

So...yeah, I guess I'm rooting for Janet? And that's it. Maybe Dean. He's fairly harmless. He's spineless, yes, but harmless compared to everyone else left.

Ugh, Dan is such a sleaze. He's a talent manager, of course his female clients aren't going to say anything if they don't like how he touches them because he can cut them loose and tank their career. He has the power. Because it's about power for a guy like him. He likes it better when women are made uncomfortable by his actions because it shows him he has power over how they feel and they don't have any power to fight back. And I'm mad at the women because they caved - they felt that speaking up would jeopardize their success at the game, so it was better to deny anything they said and make Janet and Kellee the goats.

I really liked Jamal tonight and now he's gone. Kellee was one of my favorites and she's gone. So the ones I like are Janet, Noura and Elaine. I'm not sure how Elaine stands on this. I have a feeling Dan doesn't do anything with her because she's not a woman he wants to touch.

Well, it's all on camera and they all watched it tonight. Maybe Janet can pull a Michael and find a way to keep herself in the game each week, either by finding an idol or by immunity.

Jamal should have hidden that message somewhere in camp, then no one would have known it came from him.

I don't know what I would have said if I were there when Aaron made the "They didn't tell the guys" comment.  That crap is exactly why women don't tell, it's never oh I'm sorry that happened what can we do it's...are you sure, did you misunderstand, maybe it wasn't meant that way and (my favorite) what were you wearing.  I feel sorry for Kellee, at least the others had a chance to talk it out, she had to sit and listen at tribal and couldn't interject anything.  And Missy was bad but Elizabeth was worse having straight out said she'd use this to her advantage and down play or escalate depending on what would help her.  

So before the boards blow up - They should have gotten rid of Aaron before the merge, they're just now figuring out he's going to be a challenge monster but the harassment issue meant nobody discussed (that we saw) how he's gone 2 for 2 now and that's going to be a problem.  And what happened with Dean and the fake advantage?  They never said what Jamal wrote on the paper, when Dean was supposed to "use" it or how it would trick him or ruin his game other than the obvious it'll put a target on him with the tribe which didn't seem to go anywhere anyway.

This reminded me of Caleb in his first season of Big Brother when he was despicable.  He latched on to another hamster and it ended up being her downfall, because she couldn’t say how she really felt because it would blow back on HER, and not him for being inappropriate (I want to say her name was Amber?).

That’s how I felt for poor Kellee.  In a setting like this, the whistleblower gets got first.  That’s not really why she left, but anyone who has ever watched this show knows why she didn’t want to make waves.

Elizabeth is terrible, but Missy is worse.  Elizabeth always said she was going to play it up to get Janet on her side.  Missy absolutely felt the way she did until she thought it was going to hurt her game and she did a 180.

I felt so badly for Kellee having to sit on the jury and not be able to defend herself.  She did say Dan was inappropriate. She did!

We all saw them complaining about Dan...and we saw Dan being creepy...and we saw Kelley have a 2 hour convo with Missy about Dan's creepiness! These 2 make women coming forward more difficult. This might be kind of foreign territory to the castaways, because Survivor has never really covered moments like they have this season.  I don't know what's gone on behind the scenes, but it's certainly never made it to the forefront like it has this season.  So I wonder, if knowing how this would be broadcast, if anyone would have done things differently.

I have a feeling the only reason I will watch the finale will be to see Janet get the Sia money.

The only good thing besides Janet:  We got to see it all go down.  I would love to see Elizabitch’s face when she sees the episode and realizes that her friends, family and coworkers have seen what she did.  Ditto Dan and Missy and all the other assholes on the show.

I was so excited for a minute thinking he was about to talk his pervy ass out of the game when Jeff snapped back at him that he would always bring up this issue. Because till that point, Dan was up there trying to act like he was some victim being attacked by Jeff. And it's all this that makes me know that "apology" of his was bullshit. And I doubt this is the first time a woman has felt uncomfortable by Dan.

The red flags were waving HIGH for me when he came with the "if I happened to brush past you, happened to accidentally touch you, etc." Classic gaslighting and excuses by someone like him. "What, me, I just accidentally brushed by you. I am shocked, shocked I tell you that anyone would feel uncomfortable by me".

I think what also makes me upset about the first vote, is that Janet openly said Dan wasn't on her radar.  She did it because the girls said they felt uncomfortable, and she didn't think they should have to live in that environment.  So she lost an ally, and ruined her game.  Yet, she did it for the right reasons.  And even when they threw her under the bus, she stood her ground.  I love that her integrity isn't for sale.  She is an awesome human being.  Those young girls could learn something from her.  I teared up when I really thought she was going to quit tonight.  I hate that she wasted her idol.  Here's to her finding another one.

ETA: and then felt like a horrible human being because everyone was making her out to be a liar and that she felt like she started this.  I cringed when she told Missy she should have stayed out of it.

Yes and then we saw Lauren come up to Missy and say that everyone is voting for you tonight including Kellee who you just had this two hour conversation with (which was true at the point). I mean no one came out looking good tonight except for Janet.

How sickening.  My problem, and I admit I haven't read all the other comments, but my problem is the women all had problems with Dan.  They all, or most all, expressed concerns at one point or another.  But as soon as it's brought to light, they all sweep it under the rug.  "It's no big deal."  And then try to blame the whole thing on the one person trying to help.

And then they wonder why women aren't believed or listened to?  BECAUSE OF SHIT LIKE THIS.

I’m not home and I am not able to watch. Not sure if I’m looking forward to it or dreading it. I haven’t heard any mention of Elaine tonight. I’m guessing she didn’t piss anyone off too badly?

I was wondering why they brought production into the whole thing and even went so far as to put a description of what went down behind the scenes for us to see/read if they were going to just let Dan try to whitewash his creepiness. Production wanted this out there so neither Dan nor his enablers nor those who used this as a game play could completely write it off. We know because production wanted us to know.  I really thought Dan was going to go tonight but he stayed. If he makes it a lot further in the game, then why weren't all these scenes and discussions left on the editing room floor. Here's hoping his torch gets snuffed real soon. Oh...and does anybody else think he looks like Harvey Weinstein?
