Captain Sandy continues her on-going battle with Sirocco’s anchors, while Joao and Travis continue their deep dive to set the anchors free. Baseball star, Johnny Damon along with his family and friends not only go against the bad weather, but also a feisty neighboring yacht owner. Meanwhile, Aesha and June bond over their mutual losses. And as the guests depart, Sandy is faced with a big complaint making her second guess her decisions.

Airs August 5, 2019.

Nice docking jobs.  The weather is really messing with them.

Just what you need, a drunken millionaire yacht neighbor boarding your yacht and being an asshole.  So of course they go all white trash on the idiot.

Eggplant?  Blech.  How about some meat and pasta Anastasia.

Nice of Jwow to hack up those lobsters for her.  Couldn't she have kept them warm in the oven while  she cooked them all?  Johnny is a pain in the ass, but she should have known they want big piles of food.  Sandy is being a bit melodramatic.

And whining "We've been on many yachts, bla, bla, bla, ", but you don't know you can order anything you want?  Sure.

I like June, but she really needs to get with the radio protocols.

Maybe Jack could do some work instead of figuring out better ways to wank.  He and Aesha are really gross.

Joao and the deck crew did well this charter.

Captian Sandy did dock the shit out of that tight berth.

Jonny Damon is clearly a steak and tater guy in big quantities. No food adventures for him. His wife is not 5 star either!

June is being set up as the one to leave when Ana goes back to interior and Ben walks on to "save" the galley. Even Captian Sandy and Hanna are setting up this scenario. Too obvious and bad acting.

Jack & Aesha need to stop with the kissy face and slap and tickle while on duty.

Ana’s doing an amazing job given her lack of experience. I really feel like this is all a setup to bring Ben in, who was likely not available when filming started. Shenanigans are definitely afoot.

Eh, I’d agree, but for the last two episodes, nothing has been impressive. Sure, she gets credit for doing a better job than most would, with the lack of experience, but if she wants to be chef, she doesn’t get to be graded on a curve. And frankly, I think she’s losing appreciation of the role as it becomes less shiny and new and more taxing. These guests weren’t all that demanding or even close to some of the rudest guests other chefs have dealt with and she was already folding. I think she’s managed very well, especially being vegetarian, but her squealing over the lobsters was ridiculous. I could never do that, but that’s why I don’t eat it or cook it or have a job that asks me to do so.

Capn Sandy better take full ownership for promoting Ana. Though I doubt she will. She’ll probably humiliate Ana after these annoying charter guests whine.

Hahahha as if she would ever do that! She is such a bad manager on this show.

I started wondering this episode if June needs to get her hearing checked.  Some people with hearing loss start not hearing specific people whose voices are in certain frequencies.  Maybe she can't hear Hannah.  But then Sandy had the same issue and June didn't have her radio.

If the only thing she hears about all day is her radio, why doesn't she remember her radio?  Its not that hard.  Is she doing it on purpose?  She doesn't seem to be trying to get away with as much as possible, short of getting fired, like Jack.

But she does have an aura of poor pitiful me about her.  That thing with the invisible curtain was juvenile.

I didn’t think the guests were all that demanding.  Johnny’s wife was embarrassing, but I thought Johnny came off likable (as a Sox fan...I love him, regardless of the fact that he became a Yankee).

Johnny Damon looks like he is is still in pretty good shape.   I imagine he has a fairly healthy aperture.  I work out an hour a day and no way would that Italian meal have held me over.   I think it’s great that Ana cooks in her comfort zone, but the chef’s comfort should not be an issue in that environment.

I, too, think Ben probably just wasn’t available earlier in the season.   I can’t stand Sandy though and I really hope she doesn’t tear Ana down.

She can control how she reacts to both of those things and how she reacts isn’t good. I have my  issues with Captain Lee but he is also at the mercy of both those things and I believe deals with those things in a far superior way than Captain Sandy does for the most part.

June just seems like she in a fog all the time.  Is she on medication?  Hannah should be given a cake at the end of the season that says:  June, June, Hannah all over it.

Ana's ego continues to grow.  It's not a good look.  She's a cook.  Not a chef with enough  enough talent to be on yacht.

We live by the water and see various yachts and boats docking all the time.  Kuddos to Sandy for nailing that docking.  Just a BTW, many times when a large yacht comes in, a pilot captain goes out to drive and dock.

Aesha and Jack:  Ugh.  Just stop.

Jawow did well.  Loved him pulling back the curtain.

True, Captian Lee is less nonsense get the job done and get outta my face and Captian Sandy is more into liking the camera time and ready for her close -up.

Its hard to keep track of what was going on in episode vs after she got negative feedback in the THs.

But there seem to be a couple themes starting to develop.

Ana has shown a couple times that she likes to take a victory lap and she doesn't take criticism well.  She got really down on the guests in the THs about their criticism.  I'm not sure how food being sent back for being undercooked became about her not being able to control the dishes staying warm on the way to the table.

She's trying to keep everything simple and within what she is familiar with to be more confident that the food she sends out is good.   That attitude seems to be leading to a lack of variety and a lack of customizing meals.

Hannah is not helping.  I'm not sure if that is because she has no confidence in Ana as a Chef or if Ana's reactions to food coming back are making Hannah back off for fear of making things worse or if its Bravo shenanigans.  But I think its not helping that Hannah doesn't seem to be bringing back feedback except when she has no choice because the food is sent back.  Maybe Ana could have done something differently if the gripes about what she is sending out (not just how it was cooked) were making their way back to the galley.

These charter guests along with that yacht owner proved that money does not buy nor does it equal class. They were all out of control and put the crew at risk, because they had to step in and defuse the situation.

{snip}

June, darling please answer your radio and FYI your invisible curtain only makes you look like a fool. Joao was the real MVP, he dealt with the invisible curtain, killed lobsters and kicked an unruly visitor off the boat.

I thought it was interesting that Hannah was convinced that guy wanted to come on the yacht because of her and it turned out he just wanted to berate some Americans.

It was funny Joao left the the deck with a belligerent, drunken stranger still on board because he decided he couldn't get control of the situation in his pajama bottoms.

I wouldn't be able to let the invisible curtain go without making this reference.  And I wouldn't ever hide behind an invisible curtain because the cone of silence adds a level of I was just making a TV/movie reference to try to look slightly less stupid when i have to explain it at the reunion.

I did note that.  I still thought it was odd.  I don't think that it was something that anyone would do in that situation and probably only did it because there was BTS crew that could handle it if it went south while he was gone.  He didn't actually just swap out his pants, he put on his uniform.

In other things that are odd to me.  I need them to get Travis's TH hair and episode hair to match.

Hannah said in one of her THs that she’s being more careful with Anastasia, trying not to push in concern that it’ll end up putting too much pressure and affect the food. Guess that puts Hannah in a damned if you, damned if you don’t situation. If she pushed more, Anastasia would react negatively to the criticism, as she has, repeatedly(She even reacted negatively to Sandy interrupting her praise), then Hannah would be the bitch/blamed for that.

Ana’s food was fine but the Americans were looking for big hot piles of food.  They wanted a buffet at every meal and she never understood that.  I had to laugh at her serving the baseball player 2 tiny eggplant roll ups, ha!  I bet he was starving!  They probably ordered pizza after dinner.  I think her food is beautiful but it’s like she’s cooking for herself with the portion sizes especially instead of the guests.  I can only imagine what this group would’ve thought of the Russian’s food.

June is just zoned out, that’s why she’s not hearing her radio.

June not listening to her radio is driving me bonkers because it's absolutely a safety issue AND she keeps making excuses about it. We've seen boats sink, multiple fires, guests get injured, and Ashton go overboard and nearly die and all of those took less than 10 minutes before they went from the initial incident to catastrophic. Keep your earpiece in you dope. June complains that Hannah is rolling her eyes and says she wants Hannah to know that she, June, is a good person. Hannah doesn't think June is a bad person. Hannah thinks June is bad at her job. She's not wrong.

Johnny's gross guest wasn't wrong about Anastasia's food being underwhelming and a bit pedestrian, but Johnny's chief complaint was that he wasn't served a trough full of lava hot food. The other issue is that Anastasia is more temperamental than your average chef because she's operating out of her comfort zone.

Lady Damon of the baseball Damons is all class and a trashbag fish wife.

Sandy's docking was impressive, but she's still a famewhore. I know this because she has a customized white Sirocco shirt with a gold anchor bedazzled on the sleeve.

Aesha and Jack are just so gross and juvenile together.

Catch Hannah's low key 'you'll always be a 3rd stew to me ' shade with Anastasia: 'killing animals is something you need to be able to do AS A CHEF'. Hannah is superficially supportive of Anastasia, but in reality, she's slavering in anticipation that Ana fails. That said, watching Anastasia mug and simper and baby talk about having to 'murder ' lobsters? Take a row. She gave Joao his 2nd chance this episode, no, 3rd to show what a manly Zimbabwean he truly is as he butchered the crustaceans for her. Prior to that, he removed the drunken sailor and saved the anchor.

Where was Travis when lobsters needed butchering? Also, while I fully believe last season Joao is still present, Travis' reaction to Joao speaking to him where Travis walked of muttering expletives, calling Joao a fking dckhd? Nothing Joao did during that interaction seemed to warrant that response from Travis. But. I'm wondering if Joao's 'redemption' arc is all we're seeing. That, or Travis is really unhinged. I'm wondering if Travis will be the 1 to be fired too. I found his sudden 'appreciation of Anastasia' speech rather weird. The fact that he's also spending time with her in the Galley could give Hannah reason to go at Anastasia, given Hannah probably regards Travis as her territory, even though she turned down his date.

The only thing that makes sense to me with respect to June is if she's Conrad's current GF (1 of the rumours) and just not cut out for the kind of intrigue that production are seeking. June throwing up in response to Hannah's 2nd raptor like question about whether she has a boyfriend makes sense if she's really uncomfortable with the idea of Hannah finding out. June constantly whines about how mean Hannah is to her (when she's really not. June is behaving with great incompetence ) possibly because she'll feel better about being outed as Conrad's GF if Hannah is truly a monster in June's eyes.

I hope Anders the obgyn comes home to find he's got no patients. He is crass and tacky. The guests of the primary seem to be vying with 1 another (and led in this by the primary's classless wife ) to impress the great Johnny Damon with constant references to his virility. Really not a classy standard of guests, this lot. It's sad how frequently we see this dynamic on these charters. Jackie, the Queen of Versailles, seemed to be barely tolerated by her guests also.

For the record, the Conrad thing isn’t a rumor, it’s a Reddit theory based on absolutely nothing. There is no link between these people.

June talked about her caginess regarding her relationship on WWHL, that it was a relationship that was in between on and off and she wasn’t sure how to characterize it. Plus she was extremely anxious and nervous, hence the vomiting.

Ok, great job docking but so much patting themselves on the back.  You parked in a tight spot without damaging anything, get over yourselves.

What did their preferences sheet say about likes and portions?  I want to see if they really hose them on the tips.

I guess they want to suddenly flip on the Anastasia being good in the galley in just one charter?  They’re only as good as their last Charter?

Travis’ issue is that he thinks he can do the job better than Joao. There’s no doubt that Joao was a jerk last season, but he never openly showed attitude to Captain Sandy unlike Travis last episode. I do think old Joao is at risk of returning if Travis and Jack keep being stupid.

I remember Johnny Damon from seeing him opening game for the Royals in KC, he was a nice looking guy, women would throw themselves at him and in the end his wife seems to be the typical sports wife and neither of them seem like they would come up with the idea of yachting in France.

I have noticed that other than the sea urchin (no thank you) Anastasia has not taken advantage of the fresh seafood that is available in every port. That makes me sad.

It was very impressive of Sandy and crew to put that yacht in that small space, yes it is something that they should know how to do but most of the time they are on the side of a large dock...I can imagine how every experienced sailor would be tense about that docking.

I'm generally on Team Anastasia.  She's stepped in with no time to prepare and has done well for the most part.  In this charter, she made the mistake of not reading her audience.  These guys are large guys who are former athletes.  They want to EAT.  No vegetarian entrees unless they request it.  Meat.  Big portions.  Stuff that leaves them FULL.

Her issue with killing the lobsters amused me because she sure didn't mind killing those sea urchins.  I guess because they don't have faces.  It was thoroughly disgusting that she put the prepared food back in the raw urchin tests/shells.  Dear god, that's a recipe for a bacterial orgy.  When people refill crab shells, they've been cooked or sterilized.   Mollusc shells have been scrubbed.  It looked like she rinsed off those urchins but she's lucky she didn't give the guests diarrhea.

The deck crew showed competency at their jobs.  Hallelujah.  Jwow still is a bad manager and Sandy has a major doting auntie crush on him.

June needs to be fired asap.   Jake and Aesha should get a strong warning about the snogging all over the boat, enough to scare her.  It won't have any impact on him since the heat emitted from his work ethic is essentially measured in the single digits on the Kelvin scale.

The primary on this trip, the ball player's wife, is trashy.  I suspect that she's been in bar fights before, both before and after she married money.

At the restaurant, before June excused herself to go puke, there was a little, quiet exchange with Anastasia, who was sitting next to her:

June:  Don't say anything.

Ana:  No, I won't.

[June leaves table]

Others: Is she crying?

Ana:  No she's fine.  She's just sick.

So it seems June confided in Anastasia something -- at first I thought, maybe she's pregnant?  But I really have no clue.  Waiting for whatever that is to come out.

Johnny Damon’s wife was classy drunk (/sarcasm) and put her finger in that guys face when he said he wanted Johnny to come back to his boat and she didn’t want him to go.  Then everyone lost their minds when he touched her finger.  Over reaction much?  She was definitely showing how classy us Americans are by screaming “I RUN THIS SHIT” off the side while docked in France. I am puzzled why Anastacia didn't adapt the menu to Johnny Damon's wishes?.

He wasn't a fan of eggplant or undercooked steak & lobster.

Joao deserves kudos for removing the drunk Norwegian off the boat & helping park the boat in the small spot. He also killed the lobster for Anastacia.

I truly just think June's zoned out. I don't think she's deliberately ignoring the radio HOWEVER she did admit to taking the earpiece out.

I'm thinking the radio traffic affects her already foggy mind so she tends to pull the earpiece out in order to focus on what she's doing. Considering how zonked she seems to be most of the time I can totally believe that the constant chatter noise from the radio overwhelms her.

When I used to work for retail and had to have a headset on it was sooooo grueling to hear the stockroom, the fitting room requests, the cashiers calling for managers, the floor salespeople asking for sizes, security checking in.... uggghhhhhh.  When you learn to tune it out, that's another issue cause then you may miss stuff since you're trying not to pay attention to the radio anymore so you can ignore the noise.

She seems like a space cadet so I'm not surprised the radio is becoming a challenge for her. It is however a very serious safety issue and I hope she gets it together in that regard. Other than that she seems like someone who's gotten grief for being a couple of steps behind. You can tell by the way she doesn't want to admit to messing up and the way she's stressed about what Hannah "thinks" of her. I think it's kind of sad that she's automatically associating making mistakes (which I'm guessing happens to her frequently in life due to her "zen" like ways LOL) with being seen as a bad person. Hannah doesn't help with her barely hidden disdain for her. I don't think June has been mean or rude, just defensive and insecure and a bit wishful for some slack since she knows she lacking.

Being a certain age doesn't automatically give you the capabilities of a well rounded, experienced worker. Hell, I've been working since I was 15 years old and working in the Corporate world since I was 17 and I was still making similar bad judgement calls well into my twenties when dealing with supervisors. It wasn't til 4 office jobs later and being in my late 20's that I was finally comfortable with just saying Yup, I messed up, I misunderstood, or I did something in error, or I didn't understand your instruction but pretended to and got it wrong....

Then I graduated to taking charge in how I receive instruction, convinced myself it was okay to slow down a conversation with a supervisor, repeat myself and ask simple questions (no matter how many) so that I could walk away with all the information I needed to accomplish a task. I came across MANY people (even outside of work situations) that got annoyed with having to explain themselves and didn't bother to hide their frustrations when I didn't magically understand what they mean from a 3 word sentence. Still do actually and it still takes extra energy to steel myself for their snideness. No fun at all. Not to mention exhausting. (I truly despise these type of people). Don't tell me what I should already know as a given just because you don't want to take an extra 30 seconds to explain something to me. Too bad if my slow processing skills annoy you at least I'm not doing it on purpose or doing it to be mean whereas people who don't have patience for people with no "common sense" have the right to be rude assholes cause they can't control their own meanspiritedness and their time is more important that someone else understanding whatever message they're trying to get across.  Granted in a fast paced environment this wouldn't jive well and I get that but ummm reality TV. She's obviously there for drama. They always have someone who is lacking in order to aggravate the situation. so I mean, poor girl doesn't need to be crucified. She fulfilling her purpose on the show. LOL

Point of the story not everyone flips a switch and has the "common sense" that everyone swears just washes over you at some specific point in time. Common sense is actually experience and not some freak phenomenon that attaches to us when we turn 16, 18, 21, 24, 28. It comes with trial and error, experiencing certain life situations and learning. When people throw out this magical "common sense" argument I find it pretty insulting cause not everyone's experiences are the same. Gotta leave some room for growth. Everyone has some missing piece of knowledge that most people would consider the most simplest "common sense" detail.

I'm definitely in the minority, because I like Captain Sandy. Very impressive how she docked that boat. I know she has to know how to do that, but still not easy I am sure.

Ugh, those eggplant rollup things. I like eggplant and even I wouldn't have been enthused about those. Those people, especially the men, wanted big plates of filling food.

Johnny Damon has eight children! Just looked that up. He actually seems nicer than his classless wife. She is a piece of work.

Johnny Damon is pure trash, like his current wife. It’s a known fact (which he confirmed in his book) that he screwed a labor and delivery nurse in the same room as his wife (not this one) while she was in labor.

I didn't get the impression the steak or lobster were undercooked for anyone but Johnny Damon (others seemed to love the lobster and were fine with the "temp") , but she should have taken special care that his plates were carried out tout-suite and extra hot fired. Which would probably rubberize the lobster so whatever Damon.

I'm pro Anastasia, but she definitely got an inflated sense of how well she was doing on a super yacht chef basis, she is delivering simple food that looks beatuiful, but not the kind of food these people are paying for. The Florida people don't have the same palates of very well traveled jackhole professional ball player who ate at 5 star restaurants every night on the road for 15 years.

Word to June looking like Patricia Arquette it took me way too long to figure out who she reminded me of, I guess because the image I conjure of Patricia today is her in  the last few hardscrabble roles she's played, June looks like baby Patricia. She even kind of talks like her. BUT GIRL you need to fuckin answer your radio that is quite clearly working. I do think Hannah had a shit attitude about her from the get, but well she wasn't wrong, she's worked enough in the industry to know when she's got a dud.
