Newly licensed drivers have a tougher time finding jobs that are local, and not OTR.  My husband got his CDL B (to drive smaller trucks) and he struggles to find people that don't want 2-3 years experience (but how to get experience without a job - and OTR isn't even a factor - the only jobs he can get without experience are the crappy ones working for crappy companies that are at the bottom of the barrel in the gas boom, and want you to drive overnight which he is medically not able to do, or they want you to be at drilling sites for weeks at a time).

I don't know about FL, but where we live, if you have a CDL A or B, it's an easy test to get a passenger/bus endorsement, and they're always screaming for bus drivers here.  Doesn't pay super awesome, but it's experience, which could lead to better opportunities and routes.  He would also have better luck with a HazMat endorsement, but his immigration status may prevent that - you have to be fingerprinted by the FBI for that, and go through an exhaustive background check.  When my husband got his, they wanted to know if he'd lived in other countries, etc.  Because he hasn't been here long, that may work against him.  Running doubles/triples will also get you more notice, and mega $$$.

Some companies will train you and pay you to go to school, but then you are contracted to work for them for a certain length of time, and you get the bottom of the barrel runs, equipment, etc.  Everyone makes trucking sound attractive to get people to sign on, but it's not an easy life.  I wouldn't blame him if he didn't want to do long haul with a baby on the way, but he could go apply to work at a depot on the dock, with an eye toward moving to driving when the baby comes.  Many places are screaming for CDL A drivers (especially with endorsements), so they might be willing to work with him.  But then again, this could be all producer driven drama.  My husband got his CDL B with endorsements through the state OVR, and the trucking schools told him he'd be working on a huge multi-year bridge construction job in no time (he had already been offered a job delivering propane), but all of the companies working on that job want someone with 1-3 years experience - verifiable experience.

Pao just wants to be the poor, mistreated, misunderstood person, who is too espicey for Oklahoma.  My uncle lives there, and whether or not I find them to be too conservative, they all pride themselves on hospitality, and what she did was just a big middle finger.  She married in to their family, and she's stuck (I know this all too well).  Just smile, and be gracious, FFS.  Then again, if she would be gracious, she wouldn't have anything to gripe to her fight friends about.  Russ should have left her in Miami before he got her pregnant, and cut his losses.

The first time I went to Oklahoma, I was a kid, it was 1972.  Our church group was heading out west and Oklahoma City was one of the stops; we stayed at the Hilton, I think.  At dinner, everybody ordered burgers but I wanted fried chicken and all I remember was they DID NOT HAVE FRIED CHICKEN, I mean it was 2 hours and I was still waiting; my mom let me eat some of her burger.

The point I'm making is that the servers were VERY nice and sweet to me, that's what I remember and I was being a brat because I couldn't get my fried chicken.  But they were all nice to this poor little girl.  Russ' family might be conservative and not like how Pao dresses, but that doesn't mean they're nasty, racist douchebags.  Pao was looking for shit to complain about.

Yes, that's pretty much what I said.  😁  Pao often stresses to her fight friends how conservative his family is, and I've always took that as she was saying they didn't treat her well, trying to drum up more sympathy.  My family absolutely hated the guy one of them was engaged to, but they still treated him nicely and invited him to dinner/events, even after they split, because they have kids together and it's the right thing to do.  Pao just needs to STFU.

There was quite a bit of speculation here regarding that, too! Nicole just got an email stating that the K1 visa was denied. She never got a letter or any official kind of documentation. I'm trying to figure out what brain trust thought it would be entertaining to give the stunted Family Chantel a show.

They are so pod like I feel guilty watching them. One of my favorite images, is when ma and pa are standing together with that blank, pod expression.

Something is terribly wrong with the lot of them.

The least they could do is help us visually with Sea-Air/Chantel.

Back in the day, there was a cartoon called Clutch Cargo, where they superimposed human lips over limited-motion animation or even motionless animation cels.

Technique is called Syncro-Vox, invented in the 50's where real human mouths were superimposed on the faces of animals for the popular "talking animal" commercials. 

This wouldn't address the stupid stuff coming out of their mouths, but it would be a definite improvement on the visual. 

In fact, they are all so dull, do it to the entire lot of them.

At the reunion last season and again at these pillow talks,  I find Tarik’s common sense surprising.  Scares me that I often agree with him.  He’s cool with bro being blinded by the boobs while he’s trying to point out the obvious.  Liking watching those two; their enjoyment is contagious.

I should have kept reading.  I remember that now.  He was denied and no questions asked.  Nicole is dumb as a box of nails but rears up if anybody, usually mom, has a word to say about any of the nonsense that is Asan.  I'm kind of surprised mom and step dad haven't hired a PI to find out what's really going on to protect Mae.   Family Chantel could give them the name of a good one.  lol.

As for Elizabeth I think her father who is divorced from her mother is a huge enabler.  It's how he keeps Elizabeth close to him.  Enablers are like that.

Coming on a tourist visa is different.  It probably costs money for Azan to obtain  tourist visa, more than Nichole hopping on a plane to Morocco.  If Azan wanted to be here, he would.  Many ways to enter the US without any documentation.

After the email came that said Azan’s visa was denied, Nicole called some government agency to get clarification and they said a letter would be coming in the mail with more details. I remember, because Nicole took the letter to an immigration lawyer and the lawyer gave like 3 reasons that the government would deny Azan’s visa and they were all really bad. Nicole shrugged it off and said she would just go to Morocco then.

I’m pretty sure the producers know why Azan can’t get into the US. They spend a lot of money in pre-production deciding whether they should even follow a couple. The fact that they continue to follow Nicole leads me to believe that they are slowly revealing what’s really going on. Why else would they continue to follow Azan when we know he can’t get into the country and he refused to marry Nicole when she went to his country? They keep hinting that something will blow up down the line.

Plus, every time Nicole and Azan have lied in the past, the show let’s us in on it even if Nicole’s parents don’t know - such as the $600 never going to the beauty shop. They also cued us in on the cheating and the fact that he takes her money and won’t work. My guess is they think once Nicole “gets it,” it will lead to a woman scorned storyline ala’ “Mohammed frauded me.” But the thing is, Nicole is the most stubborn wronged woman I’ve ever seen on reality TV. She refuses to be scorned and just keeps saying she’s ok with the “frauding.”
