"The View": Week of 4/22/2019

It seems MM has ramped up her rudeness towards her co-hosts --Sunny, Joy, and even Whoops. 

I think the PTB are encouraging her to do do for media attention. 

And MM loves it because it ventures into the  Real Housewives bullshit, low class craziness that she loves.  

It all makes me sick. 

Esp seeing Joy --an awesomely intelligent, creative, witty and wise elder--get disrespected by this stupid no-talent trust fund brat. 

I say, let's go to the sponsors and let them know we won't be buying their stuff. 

I don't see an end to it otherwise.

We, and Joy should expect to see more disrespect--but turn it around by laughing it off as the ridiculous rambling of an ignorant twit--as she did yesterday.

I agree, Tosia.  We are living in an especially disgusting period of time where bad behaviour gets rewarded.  Her Instagram and Twitter posts are getting more and more obnoxious and are proving that she is feeling extra confident that she is responsible for the show's spike in ratings.  She is suddenly even more boastful and brash about it all.  They are obviously rewarding her behind the scenes for her behaviour while the rest of them have been told to deal with it.  It's the final nail in the coffin for me.  Because the only thing worse than Meghan McCain is the gleeful, boastful Meghan McCain that seems to be showing up at the table more and more every day.  She has all the power and she knows it.  And I can't bare to watch it anymore.  Like you, it makes me sick.

All I got so far - Meghan's stylist needs a lesson in combining patterns, especially on a larger woman.  You can combine polka dots and plaid, as long as the patterns are not the same size or scale.  

If Meghan's blouse had a smaller polka dot pattern, it would look 1,000% better.

Okay - I got something else - I think Meghan chose her own outfit, and I think she did her own makeup.

Those false eyelashes look ridiculous - they are waaaay too long.  You can actually see her own lashes (which look pretty significant) sticking out from the falsies when she's in profile.

And, yes, as I said yesterday - Meghan really does want to be on a "reality" tv show - housewives, etc.  It's so obvious.  I wonder if she could pitch a show to Andy Cohen and Bravo - "Real Republican Housewives" or "Conservative Couples".  NM - she'd have to bring the show to Fox, because even Andy Cohen, wouldn't be stupid enough to put that on Bravo!

Well, thank you, Meghan McCain, for once again, ruining my enjoyment of the show.  I would have loved to hear more from Melinda Gates - she sounds like a wonderful, sharing, compassionate and interesting woman.  BUT - because you, Meghan, had to go on another tirade in Hot Topics, the guest interview time was obviously cut short.  

Please, Meghan - go start up a Youtube show, or podcast, so that you can talk, bitch, scream and whatever you want to do all by youself!!!

The panelists trying to have an adult conversation and Meghan just squealing accusing them of supporting terrorists.....  not to mention her falsely accusing Kamala Harris of saying the same as Bernie. Thank god Sunny corrected her. She’s such a terrible host and ruins this show for me everyday. 

Whoopi finally got fed up with her BS today thank god. When she said “Meghan, why is your mouth open?” I LOST IT.

She acts like she is the only one who has veterans in her family. Joy's father fought in a war and Sunny has a cousin who was injured in a war, I think he was disfigured if I am not mistaken.  Yet, you never hear them bring them up to try to shame people into agreeing with their point of views. Megan is just an awful person in every way.  What was so funny, she was expecting the audience to be on her side with her rhetoric and there was nothing but deafening silence.  Joy was looking at her like she was crazy. Joy's expressions give me life..

On another note, I think that Whoopie and Abby have really bonded. You see they really have grown to really care for one another.  I see none of that between Whoopie and Nutmeg the big baby.

Almost as if they're mocking how The View has practically transformed into Real Housewives thanks to McCain and Abby yells and acts more like a lunatic to keep up. I loved all their reactions to Real Housewives being called an example of feminism.

As for McCain saying she isn't a feminist because of her abortion stance... I wouldn't consider her a feminist for many more reasons than that one. She really doesn't. I think Whoopi did a good job pushing back on her too, but I think she should have added like two more layers of explanation, and I'm not sure Meghan would have gotten it, even then.

Part of it with Meghan is willful ignorance. She would much rather latch onto a soundbite and pivot to spew a right wing talking point, even if it doesn't really tie back into the original premise of the discussion at hand.

She's not up for this job, ABC. It's not her politics. It's her lack of ability and professionalism.

Actually, I think a significant portion of the Bravo audience would hate-watch the stuffing out of that shit.

I actually don't think people should be able to vote while they're in prison.

I also happen to think a whole lot of people who are in prison shouldn't be, or shouldn't be in prison for as long as they have been/will be. That too is a separate question.

Finally, I do think all ex-cons should have their voting rights restored upon release. Once they've paid their debt to society, they should be allowed to return to it. 

That has nothing to do with whether any single prisoner should ever be released, MEGHAN. 

Whether someone is released when they arguably shouldn't be doesn't even have anything to do with the voting-while-in-prison question, which was the hot topic subject, or with the related topic of restoring voting rights to former felons.

Megan grew up privileged so she never understood what women like Gloria had to go through to exercise their rights as human beings.  

Also, it really bothers me when Whoopie dismisses the feminist movement, yes, some were racists against women of color. However, there were some women who were inspired by Black women and what they had to go through as Black women in America. I wish Whoopie would educate herself on certain things.  I was really shock to learn on how many Black women were part of the movement.  Gloria has always mentioned the Black women who were part of the struggle for equal rights for women.

I think Joy addressed the nuance of Bernie's comments the best and it was done using fewer words than anyone else on the panel. You cannot ignore that there are innocent people sitting in jails. You can't ignore that there are people who are serving jail time for petty crimes like marijuana possession and that minorities are more likely to serve those kinds of crimes than white people. I don't believe those types of people should be sitting in jail, having their freedom and their rights infringed upon, but it's not practical to think that you can begin to decipher all the categories and fairly apply them. His 'slippery slope' comment led me to the interpretation that if we are relying on the judgment of other humans, then we are relying on a flawed system that will decide on whether someone's rights are being infringed. I guess it's like the saying that it's better to let 100 guilty men go free than to convict one innocent man. It's better for all prisoners to have their voting rights than to deny all of them (which includes those who don't deserve to be there). But again, like Joy said, it's not practical.

I'm not surprised that Meghan didn't understand the point made and went off on a tangent thinking that Bernie's point was to advocate for terrorists. It's outstanding how dim this woman is and how unable she is to follow a point...or maybe that's intentional. She didn't even understand Sunny's point that low-level crimes ARE part of the conversation and you can't separate them because no matter what crime you are serving in jail, you don't have the right to vote while imprisoned.  Also Meghan, someone's response 'not being good enough for you' does not give you the right to turn their response into an attempt to co-sign the comments of someone else. Did I mention that she's so fucking dumb? She threw out a hypothetical question and so she got a hypothetical answer she turned that into 'omg you guys are advocating for the rights of terrorist'. They were trying to explain to her dumb ass that the only way a terrorist should be able to vote is if they served their time and was allowed back into society because that is what the constitution says should happen. Isn't she supposed to be the fucking Constitutional advocate? So she's against the Constitutional as it relates to a hypothetical terrorist being released back into society but the Constitutional is unwavering when it comes to AR-15s because it says you're allowed to own a musket in order to protect yourself from a rebel government?
