I don't think they are powerless or stupid. They are conscious and cognitively intact adults. They entered into a contractual agreement and it was published with their approval.

I don't really like that photo either, but I bet dollars to donuts that the photog thinks it's art and not porn.

What makes it "definitely sexually charged"? I can see it that way, if I squint, but definitely? I think it's more a case of eye of the beholder.

It appears Yolanda left behind her gigantic closet of solid white items for the solid black New York look.  On her show she seems obsessed with black leather jackets - she repeatedly beats it into the girls' heads that it's the quintessential model look.  She's in her black swan phase.

I wonder if she waits to break them out. Like right now, she is in the middle of playing the role of the model of a certain age who refuses to be tied down again. Once he moves her into the multi-million dollar home she will break out the "My Loves" and then once they get married he will become her king - unless there is a prenup, at which point she will revert back to calling himh her love while trying to convince him that she is only being strong for him as she suffers through a relapse.

Maybe she needs material for a new book.  I think you have helped her immensely with an outline.  Throw in a couple of chapters about her children and how she launched their modeling careers and her show and it is a done deal.  

I don;t know about going to hell-but you should get a co-writer credit.

How is it not? Fashion designers don't pay models to not wear their clothes. It's the literal nakedness and carnal intimation that's being sold.

And, of course Yolanda is delighted by the photo - her girls are highly exposed, which is an essential tool when trying to entice high caliber boyfriends (or at least ones that aren't addicts, as GiGi's is rumored to be).

I'm not the best person to argue the merits of that photo because I didn't really like it either, but, as I'm sure we all know, nudity, in art, is not always about sex.  It is in pornography, it isn't in art.  I can understand why someone would see it as sexually charged, but I don't agree that's the only way to interpret that particular image.

I watched about 3/4 of the first episode. Modeling reality tv show competitions are largely pointless. If a person has actual potential as a model (pretty, tall and skinny), they don’t need to run Yolanda or Tyra’s stupid gauntlet.

Sometimes models with viable potential stumble into the industry via an avenue like Tyra's show because they're completely unfamiliar with the standard processes for launching themselves or procuring representation - a Top Model also-ran named Fatima Siad who was, IMO, among the top two or three aspirants to ever appear on the show got a pretty successful career going this way. 

Yolanda's selection of girls was actually pretty sterling from my perspective. I don't think any are going to become household names but all have a promising chance of enjoying consistent work for a couple of years. 

I also thought the show offered a rather clever solution to the reality show conundrum that usually limits modeling comps to 18 and up by having the moms come along.

Yolanda is simply creepy and I actually think the program could have stood a decent shot of success had it been trimmed to 30-minute episodes hosted by Gigi/Bella.

Two divorces, three kids with modeling careers and a defunct TV show.  How come Yolanda no longer has blue eyes?  Is it a side effect from prolonged exaggerated Lyme's Disease?

Poor Yolanda.  She thinks she's still a gorgeous specimen of 20.  She's not pausing for "a moment of self-reflection," as she writes, but posing for one more shot, hoping against hope that this one might reel in the rich man of her dreams. 

I can't believe now that Yolanda duped me.  After everyone else found her to be false, I protested that she was true.  I called her "classy."  When she came down with her strange affliction, I changed my mind, but up 'til then, she had me.  And people used to say that I was "a great judge of character."  HA!  Some judge!

Time marches on, though, and fame is fleeting.  If she isn't already. she'll be a has-been.  Sometime before her own sunset, I hope that time forces her into real moments of self reflection in which she is able to see how she has lived her life and her children's lives and perhaps become the true person she never was.

Yolanda has been blessed with a beautiful figure (great genes) - we should all be so lucky!

That said, she also has bad detox genes (some of the same glitches I have) - so everybody has their strengths and weaknesses.

Yolanda didn’t try to resurrect her own modeling career, she used the show to very successfully promote her daughters careers. They are now rich and famous supermodels. The daughters each have more instagram followers than there are people in the Netherlands ????

Just read that David Foster is engaged to Katherine McPhee. I believe she was on one of the reality shows for singing.  This will be his 5th marriage...good grief.

Per the Daily Mail, she’s 35.  The same age as his 4th oldest kid!

I don't get it. 

I know he's worth oodles of money and is all about the name dropping of all the rich and famous people he knows and has for dinner entertainment.  But none of it would be worth having to put up with 5 minutes of his ego, let alone living with him, imo.

Plus, I find him kind of skeevy.

She’s a 35 year old singer who I never heard of before (4th runner up on American Idol or something), he’s a super producer.

I've known her for being a finalist on American Idol as well as being on Scorpion for four years on CBS.  She was also on Smash with Debra Messing which lasted for two seasons if I remember correctly.  She's done quite well.  

Why she is marrying David Foster?   I don't know....
