Does she know that we know she’s friends with Charlotte’s daughter?  I’m sure the Joneseseses are used to her?

Kind of doubt it, beyond a superficial "I know who you are because we're both in the DCC world" kind of thing. Haley is, what, 7 years older than Victoria and already graduated from college. Victoria would only have been 10/11 when Haley went to Arkansas for college. If anything, Victoria would have been like the pesky little sister Haley was always trying to ditch at games and such.

I really liked this episode, but I have no idea why Malena and Victoria are still there. Has to be for the drama.

Cianna is quickly becoming my favorite rookie. She killed that hip hop routine, and I found myself yelling “GET IT GURLLLLL!”

Loved the group leader meeting. I could’ve watched an entire show of group leader meetings. I love Kashara...... she tactfully basically said “VK is immature and not ready.”

I liked the guest choreographer segment. I thought the dance was cool.

Tara and Savannah looked weak last night. Tara looks exhausted and like she doesn’t care anymore. Savannah is still struggling. Both could’ve been cut along with Kristin and throw in Malena and Victoria.

Long time watcher, infrequent poster.  Someone asked about who the woman is that calls the girls into the office.  Cheryl Dorris has worked for Kelli as admin since 2009. In ? 2014 she developed breast cancer as we witnessed the changes.  She was part of an article posted online as part of the Cowboys ‘s story on breast cancer.

Really enjoyed seeing the group leaders share their thoughts on the rookies, would have been nice to see a little more! Go KaShara for being honest but tactful about VK (VK take note) and really pleased to see everyone pulling for Brennan. Go Brennan! And go Erin actually, the little that she has been featured she's looked awesome. Like a different dancer to last year.

Etiquette training was kind of blah, nothing can beat Lauren enjoying bread last year. I miss seeing Lauren featured!

Totally understood Kristin's cut but I thought she handled it really gracefully.

Always love seeing the cameos portion, was nice to see Jinelle working alongside Judy actually!

Thanks to @Roo22 we can now help Kelli make her oh so difficult decision!

Vets:
6 stickers - Lacey, Gina, Khalyn
5 stickers - Tasha, Molly, Kashara (technically she had 6 but that includes the one she gave herself), Alexis, Lauren, Amy, Yuko, Heather, Maddie, Lexie, Kelli, Savannah
4 stickers - Miranda, Tess, Jessika, Christina
3 stickers - Tara, Rachel

Rookies:
6 stickers - Bridget, Hannah, Daphne, Brennan, Amber
5 stickers - Jalyn, Erin, Taylor J, Lily, Brianna, Caroline
4 stickers - Malena, Cianna, Alanna, Rachel, Gabby
3 stickers - Madeline
2 stickers - Ashlee, Kristin
1 sticker - Victoria

Wonder why so few stickers for vet Tess??  The other vets low on stickers make sense to me.  Miranda weight gain, Rachel was always too heavy, and Jessika, Christina and Tara are just weak all around.

I felt like she didn't have the heart to cut anyone that night because Sparky Polastri (sorry that's who he reminded me of - SPIRIT FINGERS) put a lot of them on blast. I feel like that it wasn't just Bridget who did badly.  That choreo was just way too intricate to learn in a few hours.  Unless - he really was just looking for the "gist" of the piece. It felt disjointed to me.

I'm crying. I was trying to put my finger on who this "okay, we're gonna walk and point" choreographer reminded me of and tbh that's right on point lol

Here's basically all my thoughts on training camp. This board moves so fast I can hardly keep up!

Amber/ Bridget- I don't think I'll ever be able to tell them apart. One or both are in show group, one "messed up" during media training (I had no idea what Brenda was talking about either), one came back from California, and one was called out by Marty.

EVER!!

Anyone know what Kelli's family emergency was during cameos? Hope everything is ok.

It wasn't discussed in the spoiler thread, so I don't think we know what happened just yet.

Who is the woman that escorts the girls into the "principal's office" and why does she have to be there at 10:00 at night to do this?  Can't Kelli or Judy get up off their ass and call in the next person?

I think door lady's name is Cheryl?  Someone else knows better.  If I had to guess she probably has to have them sign exit papers and whatever contractual/h.r. stuff.

I think you're right, lol!  But surely she must have SOMETHING she's holding over K's head to keep icky in training camp so long.

I don't want to believe it, but the rumor that she promised VK a spot must be true...

What about Hannah? She was cut. And Kelli wasn’t nice about it. That didn’t happen all that long ago.

I believe there was something else going on that we didn't know about. The only other explanation would be that Kelli didn't like Hannah or is just plain mean. Hannah got the axe while they went out of their way to find diet solutions for Veronica. That was very odd to viewers because we couldn't understand why one girl got cut and another girl was given the entire training season to get in shape. I was never a fan of Hannah but I have to admit (without more information) she was not given the same chances as her teammate.

Someone posted that Hannah saw Kelli like a year later (all the weight was off), approached her and said hi and Kelli reacted like she didn’t know her. I was never more disappointed in Kelli.

  • Loved the group leaders input
  • Guest choreographer and his dance style weren’t for me
  • Love any episode with this much Lacey
  • Cameos were bland
  • You can see why they’ve given Malena this much time. She looked good during the DCC dance. She did look god awful during the guest dance.

I always enjoy the etiquette segment. I am not a big fan of dinner etiquette in and of itself, but it is a nice skill to have. In my experience, too many people who are overly concerned with passing to the left or right have no problem destroying lives on their way to the formal dinner. I’ve also been to a decent number of formal dinners where half the room full of lawyers, while so careful to follow all the formal etiquette rules, were married and sleeping with the secretary. Etiquette is not something that is reserved for the dinner table. It’s applicable to all walks of life.

I’ve watched Hannah’s season a few times and it seems like she was not doing anything to lose the weight after being warned a few times. She also said things like “I have to make working out a priority” but Veronica said “I’ve been running every day and working out and I’m really frustrated with my body.”

The difference in attitude and the facts they were giving out about themselves may have been a big part of it.

plus Veronica had been on the team longer.

All the same, I do think there was more than just weight going on with Hannah. Kelli did have to keep herself from crying after she cut her. You can see her look away and up and stick her tongue to the roof of her mouth to not cry. That’s when Judy says no more cutting veterans for weight in training camp.

I think they are deliberately bringing in choreographers that are way out of the normal dance style in order to help them identify the "weaker" dancers i.e. ones that can't quickly adapt.

I thought KaShara was kind of snarky when she said, "I know it's a game bird . . . it tastes like a game bird." Definitely got the feeling she was not happy to be eating it & kind of turning her nose up at it, like "why in the world are we being served such a lowly thing as game bird." And then her comment about, "I hope someone cleaned it out before they gave it us." Was she serious (cause, honey, nobody went out & shot at those birds for that lunch) or trying to be funny/sarcastic? I hope funny/sarcastic, but it didn't come across to me that way.

She did redeem herself with the "I'm a country girl. I can change your oil & eat continental style" comment.

I think she was trying to not come out and say "Yuck."  Also, she's a country girl so she knows darn well where it came from.  I'm sure she has shot some in her day.

Plus it is nice to keep it fresh for the veterans.  Does anyone know if they incoroporate any of it into showgroup routines?  I imagine the budget for it comes from CMT and therefore they are able to do a few extras

Yes, I don't know what the issue was exactly but it struck me that way too.  Not to be mean but there are plenty of people where she comes from that eat squirrel and roadkill - at least quail is not that!

Yep, like many things Kashara says, that rubbed me the wrong way.  It doesn't matter to me if she was trying her usual wannabe comedienne act, it came across that she was above eating a "game bird".

Yep...if VK had made that comment, I think she would (rightfully) be getting slammed on here. With that said, I enjoyed Kashara in this episode, and I don't mind the snark, but I was surprised by the comment, specifically the, "i hope they cleaned it out" comment.

I don't care for gamey meat either though. It's one reason why I'm not a big fan of duck. I'm curious about the luncheons and dinners that they go too. It seems unlikely to me that something like quail would be served. At most business luncheons that I've ever been to (where you can't choose your own food), chicken and/or beef are almost always the meat choices, but I'm assuming that they're purposely giving them food options that they may not be used to.

I love Bridget. She's definitely one of my favorite TCCs.

Very true. Victoria got slammed for winking and pointing at the camera during auditions when I noticed Kashara did the same thing during cameos and no one has commented on it at all.

I wasn't offended at all when she said that. I'm not a 'country girl' but I did grow up in a family with a father, brother and several other male relatives who all enjoyed quail hunting (as well as duck and pheasant). I became well-acquainted with the particular taste of game birds and like Kashara, did/do not care for the gaminess. And as for the comment about 'cleaning it out,' I watched my dad clean many quail, and  as someone else here alluded to, sometimes not all the buck shot may be cleaned out and you might unfortunately discover that when you take a bite. I know many people love duck, quail, pheasant, etc. I don't think she was putting them down, but perhaps inarticulately expressed her own personal distaste for the gamey flavor.

My two cents on the Kash etiquette snarkiness - if you watch the same show from last season she is exactly same at the etiquette dinner.  She doesn’t like shrimp and has to eat a bite.  She says in her talking head she’s not good at lying and you can read it in her face.  Her shrimp eating face and her quail eating face - pretty much the same. It’s the same level of snarkiness, I’m totally lying through my teeth, in her responses to the etiquette lady’s questions.  She’s all fake smile and fake voice tone.

Yes, I took what Kashara said as giving her opinion as someone who is familiar with hunting and cleaning her food - she knows what a game bird tastes like (and doesn’t seem to be a fan) and she knows it needs to be cleaned well before eaten. I thought the whole segment with her was great, I loved the “I can change your oil and eat continental”. But I am admittedly a huge Kashara fan, I find her personality so fun and electric, love her dancing and think she looks amazing. Plus she told Kelli some hard truths about VK that needed to be said.

Hey now, no need to condescend about Kentucky Burgoo. ;)

Shout out to Kelli's Givenchy Antigona handbag(s) for making another appearance in this episode.  I first spotted one on her arm two episodes back during the team bonding trip to Billy Bob's.  Tres chic.

To Charlotte Jones: Please get the ladies in DCC management -- all of them, since you can afford it -- the personal gift this holiday of a Prada Small or Medium Saffiano Galleria bag.  It is a good professional look.  Also, please do not lose any more weight!  I personally think that Charlotte would look beautiful with an extra 10 pounds, more like her lovely daughter.

This message board gives Victoria Kalina more attention and scrutiny than the actual show.  Yes, she is still immature, irresponsible, and unprepared, but so are many other young women at that age.  I know I was.  My heart went out to Victoria in this episode in one scene, I think when Kelli dismisses the TCC after a practice, where she sort of wanders off by herself as the other girls all pair up with their friends.  In my opinion, Victoria is insecure, and the other girls appear to shun her, at least in that scene (perhaps for valid reasons, but still). I wish they would understand that Victoria is really - in terms of maturity - a young, insecure girl -- struggling with the pressure and expectation of being a legacy candidate -- and would show her some compassion.

As long as the same comments would be ok from anyone else...fine. My guess is that Kelli wouldn't have found it amusing if a rookie was talking about how she hoped the (very nice) restaurant had cleaned the bird, but that's just me. I like consistency for everyone.  I don't really care about who is or isnt a country girl or city girl. I grew up near a coastal area, so I'm a bit of a seafood snob. Some people are steak snobs, so I get it, but it's still an etiquette class.  It's not a huge deal or anything, and I'm not suggesting should've gotten smacked down for it. I just don't think it would've been accepted as cute from other girls on the team.

She does always seem to be trying really hard to talk with a heavy accent and say cutesy things that demonstrate how “southern” she is for attention.   It’s not getting on my nerves as much this season as it has in the past, but she is still doing it.

I did, however, find her comment during the calendar reveal where she said “I had to do a double take and say “who is that?” cause I usually don’t wake up looking like that” really cute and funny.   I did like her a lot in the segment.

Some of the girls have had the sweetest reactions thru the years.  I always liked Meagan McVay, Season 7 at the calendar reveal, she's just shocked and cries.  We think they are pretty, we think they look good in a swimsuit or in their uniform, and some of them at heart, are just amazed to realize they are considered that way.

My episode on Amazon must be edited.  I was re-watching the scene and all Kash says to the lady is that tastes like a game bird.  Then all her other comments are made to the camera.  And I still think the other gal was hiding it in her cheeks after she said it tasted like turkey....LOL!!!

I thought when I originally watched it, she made the "cleaning out comment" to her team mates at her table (assumed Colleen had moved on because they didn't show her). It does look different, but I don't know if I'm remembering incorrectly, or if they changed it.

I couldn't decide if that girl had the food in her cheek or not. It definitely looked that way, but she was speaking pretty well if she did. And Colleen wasn't cringing, so I can't decide.
