S10.E18: Reunion Part 1 Season 10

If this is the prologue to the evisceration of Sheree and Kim then I loved part I of the reunion. I am loving that Porsha opened the door to leading the charge over Sheree's very selective bone carrying. Let the floodgates open. Sheree has been deserving of this all season. 

I can always tell when Sheree is lying. She starts talking real fast which causes her to trip over her own words (stutters) and her annunciation gets very clipped. She also gets fidgety hence all the phoney tail stroking. 

I LOL! at "Joggers." Was that supposed to make sense or be a complete answer.  I've never heard someone looking to manufacture athletic apparel as joggers before in my life. Another lie with all that hemming and hawing about spring/summer/fall production. 

I don't believe Kenya is pregnant. Her answer to the question "are you pregnant" was far too coy and she word smithed the hell out of something that only requires a yes or no answer. 

Being married damn near a year and never meeting the in-laws? Seriously weird. Now I am recalling Kenya during a breaking the 4th wall moment with a producer saying at the beginning of the season that Marc fought his mother for her.  So, I don't feel like Marc's family estrangement pre-dates his marriage to Kenya.  I feel like there is/was tension over the speedy marriage after mere months of dating.

Overall, I think Kandi and Cynthia looked the best. Cynthia was over the top but she I think she can pull off fashion in ways that the other women can't. I don't know how to feel about Porsha's look. I actually really liked her dress. The deep purple, the rich velvet material, the silhouette and peek a boo cutout were all great, but I thought her make up and accessories really took away from what I thought could have a been an opportunity to join the 'best look' club that I put Kandi and Cynthia in. Of course, my lil ol' opinion don't matter much to Porsha but just saying, lol. 

Good thing Phaedra wasn't on this season. Kenya ended up married and pregnant...those were her go to insults toward Kenya. Her Kenya shade book would have been depleted by about 80%.

Sheree, especially when talking about her clothing line, looked like she was struggling hard to string together a lie. Maybe this is why she likes to stir shit up, it helps her avoid having to answer questions with lies that she clearly isn't good at telling. She should get some tips from her lying prison boo. 

If Porsha wanted last year's fiasco to end, she should have not returned, end of story. Sitting up there acting like an apology erases her behaviour and that she is owed forgiveness just because she was ready to apologize is not how life works. Porsha, you damn well throw shade at people for no damn reason but you don't think Kandi can't throw some shade at you after you nationally addressed some fake ass bullshit rumour about Kandi and Tod wanting to drug and rape you? You're not THAT stupid, but you do feel to be THAT entitled to victimizing yourself when you were the one in the wrong. Kandi couldn't have made it any clearer - she doesn't feel Porsha's apology is sincere because Porsha won't take responsibility for the fact that her words were intended to be malicious when she said them to Kandi and said them on camera. To say that Kandi is playing victim easily discredits any and all apologies that were offered before and serves to prove Kandi's point - Porsha's apology wasn't out of the sincerity of hurting Kandi, it was for the purpose of wanting people to stop talking about it.  

Kenya seemed genuinely thrown when Andy repeated Marc's comments about the show. Interesting that she wouldn't have known something like that. I assumed that would have come up at some point during their conversation when he said he didn't want to be on the show. 

Sheree spent this part 1 either lying through her veneers, trying hilariously to retaliate Tyrone shade or deflecting. Her words don't mean a damn thing. She said gave Porsha no reason not to trust her. If Porsha weren't so caught up in going after Kandi, she would have been able to see more clearly just how dirty Phaedra was AND she would have recalled that Sheree willingly sat by and let Porsha defend comments claiming Kandi and Shamea to be in a lesbian relationship when Sheree knew damn well that it was Phaedra that was the culprit in carrying that news. She is no friend, unless you're name is Kim. I don't know why she's so fascinated with being up Kim's ass. Sheree's done this enough to know that the reunion is meant to rehash everything that happened in the season. Porsha was asked to explain why she made that comment and so she did. That isn't evidence of her still feeling the same as she did back then. It was a rare time that Porsha did make sense. Sheree happily claims the title of bone collector. She doesn't have loyalty to anyone if it gets in the way of sharing juicy gossip and landing some screen time. If you want to own that title, then that is an obvious message to anyone that they shouldn't trust you. Sheree stroking her hair while under fire from the women who were all telling truths on her, was a behavioural tell that she was trying to soothe herself to get through it because she was lying through her damn teeth. She also stutters a bit when she's being untruthful. It's why she loves being good with all the women, she can collect gossip and cause trouble without having to lie because she really sucks at it but is still stupid enough to continue trying. 

Should be interesting. They brought in a clown to join the couch in part 2.

But the puppet master here, setting up for the kill was really Ne-Ne.  Noticed how uncharacteristically restrained she was.  She was supportive of Porsha.  She was calm with Kenya.  She backed up Cynthia.

But when it came to Sheree - that's when Nay-Nay emerged.  And Kim had claimed that the others had met prior to the reunion to strategize against her, and Sheree was collateral damage.   And it's now been reported they have been fired.

Oh dear. I have serious concerns about Kenya's marriage, but I sincerely wish her the best. How in the world has she never met her husband's parents?!? And the baby reveal was truly cringe-worthy. She was vague about the details, which is fine, but revealing something like that before you're past the "safe" timeframe? Yikes. I wonder what her husband thought about that. Annnd, there were some awkward moments about what her husband did or didn't say. How can he feel the show is a poor representation of Black women (well, that may be true) if he's never watched the show? Kenya normally has her story straight; today she didn't. It's like she's not quite herself.

On a shallow note, I thought most of the ladies looked horrible this episode. I wasn't feeling most of the jewel toned gowns, the hair, the makeup. Overall, they just didn't look fresh or youthful. Meanwhile, you know they spent a grip getting themselves together. IJS.

I am thinking Kenya's husband was giving excuses as to why he did not want to appear on the show.  Andy Cohen has a lot of nerve when we saw about three minutes of Greg all season and the same with Kroy. 

I don't think Kenya wanted to address straight away they were using a surrogate.  That is why she and Marc are welcoming a baby boy or girl a the end of the year.

Please let this be true!  I can't stand Kim and Sheree has worn out her welcome with her "bone carrier" nonsense. Something about that term irks me and I will be happy if I never have to hear that term again.

Aside from firing Sheree and saying bye bye to Kim, they need to get rid of Marlo for good. No peach, no friend of, no nothing. She's bad news and has brought nothing to the table this season or any other season for that matter. This franchise needs to get it together with the casting.

Hmmm...I hope the baby news is true.  Something does not smell right with either Kenya's marriage or pregnancy - and I don't dislike Kenya. I have always more or less accepted that she is a much needed antagonist for the show. Still, she is not above a lie or two so I remain skeptical.  I think if Phaedra had been on the show, she would have dragged Kenya for filth and amped up the marriage is a fake storyline. Why none of the ladies is insisting on a copy of a marriage certificate or a sonogram is beyond me. Phaedra would have certainly mentioned both.

All I can say right now is this: I can literally never tell if someone's hair is their own, or if it's a wig. Radical changes in length (from short to long) and color in one day never seem to be enough to "tip me off", but goodness gracious, Marlo's hair looked like a terrible wig to me. 

I cannot see where she has the nerve to talk about Kenya's looks; Kenya is a classic beauty.

If that is how it went down that a "friend" tried to blackmail me two things come to mind, one that she is no friend and two no way would I share a couch with her.

Marlo is gross, plain and simple. 

Porsha looked like Malificent complete with the crown.  

Sheree, even Gucci makes mistakes. I loved her stumbling around answering the question about her clothing line, she is designing sweats now or as she calls it, "lifestylewear." She could not really answer questions about it and sadly she believes her own lies.  

Kenya was evasive about the pregnancy news, obviously it is not she who(m?) is pregnant otherwise she would have milked that for sure. 

Loved Cynthia's dress so much.

Kandi's dress made her boobs look like they were trussed up hams.

Overall, I thought part one was a little boring.

I think Marlo's dislike for Kenya is largely in part of knowing she has no reprieve with Kenya after what she said to her. Marlo knows she made an enemy out of Kenya so there's no good reason for her to be nice to Kenya. She's going to try and shade the hell out of her and she's going to do whatever she can to instigate trash talking about Kenya with the other women. If Marlo had anything damaging on Kenya, she would have outed it after Kenya talked about her blackmailing scheme. Marlo is thirsty and has no room to talk about anyone's relationships or motives when she has no issues going on national television and brag about being someone's high end escort.

This definitely was noticeable with me as well. The many times that Cynthia and Kenya were addressing each other or defending each other, the camera would pan to Nene and I would expect to see her rolling her eyes or showing some kind of disgust but she was measured. Nene knew who she was going to take down at that reunion and for all Sheree's talk, she has yet to learn that she ain't the star of the show. As her firing shows, she was always the bottom of the totem pole.

Andy only asked because he would have preferred to have made it a big storyline with Marc in the picture given how many seasons we've seen Kenya go through relationships and the shade she's gotten from the other women for her single status. Andy felt slighted because Marc adamantly did not want to be a part of the show. He had no use for the other husbands but if he did, he knew that they had no objections being on the show. Purely selfish on Andy's part to confront Kenya about her husband's lack of interest on being on the show.

It's not impossible that she could be carrying her own child but either way, her hesitancy will be perceived by some as being cautious about talking about a baby because she's still early into her pregnancy or people will perceive as lying about her pregnancy, likely to line up her next storyline.

Kenya was gobsmacked when Andy called out what Marc said about the show. Also, it is a giant red flag when your husband won't introduce you to his parents. "They live in a different state," well, do planes, trains, and automobiles not exist? If they can go between Atlanta and NY, they can fly to wherever his parents live.

Some of those hair looks were like whoa, in a bad way. Sheree consistently looked good until we got to the Atomic Blonde look. Porsha looked pretty good all the way through -  I don't like her copper-colored look but it's definitely the best "worst look."

Rumor is that she paid off his tax debts in exchange for him portraying her husband. Nothing is on the up and up with Kenya. Why can’t she just be honest?! 

Maybe Kenya is the one in the Blind Gossip about a reality show participant that adopted a baby boy ( that physically resembles her family) a few weeks ago but is keeping it secret.

Kenya should have been prepared. She could say Marc thinks its not a good representation because it really focus on our bad traits or flaws, because that is more entertaining. He knows a different side of me that he wouldn't have thought by watching the show.

Well it's unfair to put it on Kenya to be honest when you nor anyone else has evidence that she's being dishonest. Walter put her on blast with claims that she paid him to be her boyfriend. She denied it. That was a he said, she said thing. I could be mistaken but Walter never produced any real receipts to suggest that he was telling the truth but people believed him because it was easy to since Kenya has come off as villainous from the very start of her RHOA career. No other guy (on the show or off) has given any kind of story that would give credence to Walter's story but it's something that will follow Kenya around forever because the women on the show also used that against her as an easy dig. They didn't care whether it was true or not but it's been said enough times that it becomes an easy piece of gossip to spread because you know it'll make it's way to the show. It could be true, but the way these women operate, they will say it enough times to convince everyone that 'where there's smoke there's fire' even when there's no such thing.

If Kenya had anything to hide about her marriage, it wouldn't make sense that she would publicize his name, what he does, where he lives. That's all information that people can use to investigate him and if there's something there, they will find it (the same way people got receipts on Kenya's back taxes or Sheree's house being in her mother's name). The most obvious reason for Kenya being shady is because keeping it somewhat mysterious is the only thing she's got as a storyline. Her husband doesn't want to appear on the show and she's been disconnected from the group for her own personal reasons, she needs something going for her to keep her relevant. Being coy about her marriage gives the women ammunition to talk about her even when she's not there. And for those who dislike her and think she's lying, being coy about all of it, fuels their distrust and gets them excited to see her get caught with receipts.

I still think Kenya and Marc have an arrangement that's mutually beneficial. I think the success of the relationship depends on a baby (whether adopted, via surrogate or a Kenya pregnancy) and finances. We know Kenya wants a baby and at least the appearance of a husband; we don't know if Marc wants a baby. It appears they both need a substantial income, and I'm not sure who's on the hook for that in their arrangement.

If Kim and grifter Sheree are truly gone, I might start watching again. All of the women have done questionable things, but these two are superstar trash.

Sheree is at least 7 seasons late on this mess. I mean even 'dummy' Porsha is out here making the most of her peach generating multiple streams of income - selling wigs, radio gig, chitling circuit plays, etc. Since the beginning many (even posters from the now defunct TWOP and here) have wondered why Sheree didn't' capitalize on her fitness. Her physique may not be to everyone's ideal but old gurl puts in the work and it shows. She could've started off with workout dvds and branched out into fitness apparel, equipment, shakes, bars, who knows. Could have been the next Bethenny.  But no, she had to be hard-headed and do that She by Sheree mess and have a fashion show with no fashions, how dreadful. I really don't know what her problem is.

I had to laugh at Marlo's "what's $20,000 to me? That's my Neiman's bill." Ok, Marlo, let's not pretend that 20k isn't courtesy of your sugar daddy/daddies. I swear, Sheree lives in an alternate reality where fashion shows have no fashions, fall is spring, dancing has no rhythm, homes can't be occupied, money appears by itself, man-caves have no men, and friendship means blabbing people's secrets.  Who else would have thought that Kim was the horse to back? She's not really even on the show!

Nene was uncharacteristically subdued. If I were a less-cynical person, I'd hope that her stand up experience taught her some self control. However,  the previews show that she loses her shit with Kim, so I'm more inclined to think that there's something going on behind the scenes.
