Says the woman who worked one hour a day. Of course she had to bring up dead daddy and one miscarriage. Oh, what a tragic life you’ve led, Meghan!  No one has suffered more than you!

A 'horrendous' miscarriage.  The most horrendous miscarriage ever.  Everyone else who ever had a miscarriage?  Theirs were a bundle of joy - oops.  Poor choice of words.

Seriously, why does she act like everything she's gone through is so much worse than what everyone else has? It reminds me of when she said losing her father was different because he's an icon.

I'm not saying the girl hasn't had trauma, but none of what she's gone through is unique. Losing an elderly parent is something vast majority of people experience. Some people never have loving fathers in their lives at all or are orphaned. Something like one in four pregnancies ends in miscarriage. Many women never get to realize their dreams of motherhood. Some give birth to unhealthy babies. Some women even die giving birth. All of us have been and are still dealing with the pandemic, many not so fortunate to work from home and have heiress money to even quit that job. Many Americans risk their lives for a small chunk of change every day to put food on the table. Most new moms are in love with their babies but exhausted and not itching to socialize a ton or go out drinking with friends. We all know Meghan wasn't even that isolated because she posted pictures of herself out and about when others were still social distancing. For someone who thinks of MyFather nonstop and is military obsessed, you'd think she'd realize all the more just how good she has it. I'm not even one of those people who thinks everyone needs to do some military service, but I really do think Meghan would have benefitted from it. Maybe it would have toughened her up. MyFather said The View might do that, but it just seemed to worsen her victim mentality.

And she thought she "would most likely die of COVID while pregnant" yet she probably never left her house.

She needs to think about the pregnant women who had no choice but to leave their houses and possibly get COVID.

She reminds me of a woman who is a FB friend of a friend who is anti mask and anti vax and is constantly posting things telling people stop being a sheep and blah blah blah. She lives in a gated community and as far as I can tell hasn't left her house in over a year.  But sure go ahead and tell everyone else don't be scared Covid is harmless.

I feel like I say this every day.  It's because she is a narcissist who has had immense privilege from the moment she was born.  I think psychologically she doesn't understand why her life isn't perfect. Why does she have to experience bad things?  She lost her dad and I understand she was grief stricken but at some point it became grief porn.  It was less about her father and more about her.   Look at me. I'm so broken hearted over losing my dad.  Who was elderly and had a fatal disease that was known would kill him.

She had a miscarriage pretty early in the pregnancy.  And got pregnant pretty quickly thereafter.  She needs to talk to Sunny who had multiple miscarriages and needed fertility help to get pregnant and needed bed rest to carry Gabriel to term.   But yeah Meghan you just continue to be woe is me.

Wow - you nailed it.  that is exactly the way I think and feel about Meghan.  She whines about stuff we all go through.  And remember when she said grief was a taboo subject?  and then miscarriage was a taboo subject?   No, there are books, and support groups, and  any number of ways that people talk about these subjects - SHE had just not been open to the topics until they happened to her .

Meghan has lived a very sheltered life, but doesn't realize it.  Most of the women watching The View on TV have been through more life experiences and tragedies than she has, have faced tougher circumstances, and have learned to deal with all the good and bad life gives us without the self-pitying WHINING that Meghan does.

I agree personally, but Meghan thinks he’s a legend. Let’s hope her replacement doesn’t have a famous father she’ll talk nonstop about.

Not just viewers but her co hosts as well.  Meghan doesn't understand empathy should be a two way street.  She wants everyone to feel sorry for her but doesn't appear to have any empathy for anyone.  At her core she is a very selfish self-centered spoiled brat.

You’d think based on her passion Meg would want to turn her voice to combatting anti Semitism or the opioid crisis. Nope. She’s going to produce a fluffy Lifetime movie. I bet her interest in serious topics ends as soon as she leaves the studio for the last time.

Did Meghan's Audible book ever come out (due for release in 2020)?  Maybe she'll promote that as her book choice of the year.

Megan possibly on Dancing With the Stars?

https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/many-rumors-swirling-dancing-stars-212900258.html

The source revealed that Meghan McCain "was on the list, but her departure from The View, which is the same network, has made that more complicated.” The View cohost of four years announced that she would be leaving the daytime talk show after it wraps up its current season at the end of July.

Why would leaving The View make it more complicated? She's leaving on good terms (so we're told).

I would be very surprised if Meghan does go on Dancing With The Stars. Not only is it a lot of time (she's got a baby I hear) and she would get critiqued, she said that she's put on weight during the pandemic and the show is a lot of judging on physical appearance if not by the judges then the at-home audience.  She may toy with the idea but I don't see her as entering a competition where she would not only be criticized but bound to lose.

I've heard people say they've lost a lot of weight on DWTS.  Maybe this is her way of losing the weight.

I haven't seen DWTS in years, but I remember the judges treating some contestants with kid gloves and not wanting to criticize them much, especially in the early weeks.  I'll bet anything she'll agree to go on only if they agree to not judge her too harshly.

The thing about Dancing with the Stars is that when contestants get to the point that audiences VOTE to keep people on, republicans have been able to rally around certain people and get the audience to vote by flooding social media with requests.  It got to the point where people who were the worst dancers would be saved by the audience votes, which had nothing to do with their dancing abilities.

I don't know if that would happen with Meghan, though.  She tweets about how she hates wearing masks, and there's almost no support on twitter - every reply is telling her she's a spoiled rich girl who doesn't know anything.

And it's on the Dreaded, Hateful West Coast!

She so strongly against California, yet it's the home of Erika Jayne AND the Kardashians, her idols. Stay away Meghan, we're good!

As for "Dancing with the Stars", professional athletes who do that show say it's extremely hard physically. There's no way I can see her on that show, but then again, she'd yell at the judges so that could be fun to watch. 😁

Good catch! I guess it flew past me because I already know all this stuff about her being the one to leave is a lie and didn't think about it. She's so desperate for relevancy, there's no way she'd voluntarily leave a platform like this one unless she was offered her own TV show somewhere, which will never happen.

I don't think she would get carried along in that way either. I think it would be funny for her to end up there to realize how small of a base of fans she actually has. Even FOX News viewers couldn't stand her, which is how she ended up playing The Villain on The View. She didn't need any other qualification than to be unlikable and she has that in spades.

I could totally see her going on DWTS. People always go there when they want to rehab their tattered public image.

Wow, the stupid.

Meghan McCain on Twitter: "This is like War of the Worlds with what the media is doing with the Delta Variant. People are scared. This is deeply and intensely irresponsible to not use context and concrete facts. Implying being vaccinated is ostensibly useless is the most egregious of this inanity." / Twitter

My former boss reminds of a Meghan..an older version of her.

Always moody, defensive if you said something she didn't agree with, thin skinned, no coping skills, and wasn't objective.

Because she lived in a bubble, anytime real world stuff happened to her..she would have a meltdown and act like she was going through it worse than anyone else.  My former boss couldn't pull that card during the Texas deep freeze..because I had it worse than her.

I can see Meghan doing the same thing if D.C went through a crisis and she only suffered maybe 10 % of what others truly suffered.

After August 6th, the women of the View will celebrate her leaving.  Unlike with Candace, Abby, Jedediah, or Paula...it won't be sadness at leaving..but happiness at leaving

This being her last week, Meghan posted a gif on twitter with "4 more days."  Could someone tell me the significance of the gif?  I think it's from Mad Men, but I never saw Mad Men, so I don't know.  People are saying the gif is a dis to her co-hosts.

It is known as the "quitting like a boss" GIF or "How to Leave Your Job and Make ‘Em Miss You (Even If You’ve Been Fired)"  Hmmmm.  Will she walk out in the middle of her last show? That would  be lovely.

No, Meggie, they and we won't miss you.

Yeah, Deirdra already explained the meaning Meghan must have intended about leaving The View, but the GIF features Elisabeth Moss as Peggy Olson, in Mad Men. It's actually from a scene, not where the character quits, but in which one company absorbs another, and she struts as she hauls her stuff to her new office.

peggy olson GIF

MeAgain's GIF was just the close-up of Peggy, here's a wider shot.

But most importantly, it appears that she deleted her tweet. It was something like "4 more days" with the GIF.  People on Twitter saw it as her being a bitch to the show on her way out the door. So probably her publicist told her to take it down as it could affect her likelihood of getting hired. 🤣

Clay Aiken tweeted today, "Love and prayers for a speedy recovery to my dear friend @kathygriffin! Selfless and gracious, she even hosted a fundraiser for my congressional campaign years ago. Get well soon Kathy. I miss your jokes!"

And Meggy, in response to Mary Trump, said, "There is no "good" Trump family member to me. Continue to wish they would all just leave me and my entire family the fuck alone."

It seems Clay is genuine enough to have tweeted that because he is a kind person, but I can't help wondering if the timing was to subtly tell Meghan to not speak for him.

What time did  he sent that tweet?  Meghan's rant hit the mainstream media pretty much seconds after it happened. I was reading about it online (not just on this board) before the show was even over.    All Meghan had to say was I'm not a fan of Kathy Griffin. She has said some hurtful things in the past to people I care about but I wish her well.   But she has to make it all about her and how deeply she is hurt for her friend Clay who has clearly moved on and is in fact good friends with Kathy. Did Meghan hold a fundraiser for him?

I wonder how Clay feels about Meghan always holding him up as the reason she is supposedly ally of LGBTQ?

She truly does.  But without her daily platform I look for her to tweet even more outrageous things.  She craves attention.  And validation.  She thinks her political opinions are worth hearing and her advice worth taking.  If she isn't on the View (mis)informing the lowly masses she will find another way to do it.

I think this is the case.  He no doubt would have tweeted something anyway at some point wishing Kathy well, but yes, re the timing, I think he wanted to let Meghan know not to speak for him and to let the public know he didn't agree with Meghan.  It had to be terribly embarrassing for him.

This is significant because, in the past, he has always praised and defended Meghan up, down, & sideways on twitter.  Maybe he'll start to see the light on what kind of person she is.
