I bet it is because there is going to be the announcement that Briana is joining. They said that either Morgan or Larry was going to make a surprise announcement, and people were guessing that it was going to be cancelled. It's leaked, but the articles say that MTV hasn't responded to requests for comments. There have also been several leaks that show they are currently filming.

I wonder if the "Behind the Scenes" episode was decided when the cast was being so crappy during this season. A "We'll show them!" type of thing. They deserved it, and also deserve to have their world shook up with the news that a new person was joining, but wish it was someone else.

During every finale, I renew my loathing of Dr. Drew.   He can go fuck himself.   He's such a damn attention whore.  

He actively chooses to not learn the facts so he can make these little snippets about people.   David is so good for Jenelle and Barb has no business being concerned?   Jenelle is so better?  Sure, she isn't a doped out heroin addict, but she's not better.  She's in a relationship with someone with a barbaric history of DV.   She fights constantly with Barb and Nathan....while blaming them 100% and saying how totally fine she is.    

And then when they were both leaving the stage, I heard Drew say to Jenelle and Barb....I want you two to hug.   Seriously?   He is a total hack.  Those two have some significant and dynamic issues, but you want to flower it with a fake ass hug to make the show segment finish on a nice bow???   And of course, with the behind the scenes.....we know how that days ends for all of them.  

If Dr. Drew was a real doctor who cared about the people he is interviewing, it would be helpful to have him talk to Jace without Jenelle or Barb present....not on stage so that Jace would be more comfortable and ask him where he would like to live and what he would like to happen.  I do believe that Jace tells both sides what he thinks they want to hear.   Poor child still believes that he can be thrown away at any time and so he tries to make nice.   

Hate Dr. Drew.   Hate.  Fiery passion.   Hate.

I've never seen Leah look so healthy and put-together.  The evening dress with the cut-outs and netting over the midsection is a bit much, but baby steps.  Good for her.

Agree.  Leah seems pretty healthy and maintaining relationships and putting the girls first.  She isn't looking to fight with anyone and wants to find a way to have peace with everyone in her life.   

Corey's beard is a person all in itself.  I laughed at Dr. Drew not knowing that was a Man Cave.  

I do wonder if at the conference....if Corey and Leah truly learned about how they need to protect her physically.  

The whole family seems at peace.   It's refreshing.  Leah also seems completely sober.

Holy boobies, Jenelle! Was the Unseen Moments filmed at the same time as the reunion? Maybe it's the blouse, but she looks like she grew three cup sizes since the reunion.

I hate that Barb can't express herself clearly to Drew. I wish she could collect her thoughts to make it plain and say Jace has been with her since he was a baby. Janelle has never played a mother to him and the only time she expresses interest is when the fuck of the month puts a battery in her back. Is she high right now? Barb gets all twisted at his questions and makes it look like she's unreasonable for keeping Jace. I wish these people would learn the art of the clapback.

Watching the "unseen moments" special now.  It's hilarious that they all talk about wanting their kids to be kids and not interject themselves into the adult conversations that are held right in front of them.  Hey, you silly bunch of girls, why not try what my parents did when they had four small children: talk about adult things behind. closed. doors. after. the. kids. are. in. bed.  Complicated stuff, I know, but these common sense habits can be learned, I promise.

When they showed the clips of Jace talking to Jenelle and Barb, I noticed that Jace always looked directly at Barb, however he kept his head turned to the side and didn't make eye contact with Jenelle. That's what little kids do when they're being dishonest. So when Jenelle badgers him about wanting to live with her, his answers of "yes" are obviously not the truth.

I wish Barb would type out some cards to refer to so she could express herself and not get sucked into the drama vortex that is Jenelle. I did laugh when Drew looked at Jenelle after hearing her phone vibrate constantly and asked her if she was getting texts or something. Of course, UBT was texting her what to say and to walk off. He can't stand not having her totally under his thumb 24/7.

I haven't watched yet but I did notice in the behind the scenes episode how both Kail and Jenelle brought their phones on stage with them and I thought that was so strange and sad.  I didn't understand how someone couldn't be away from their phone for an hour when they wouldn't even be able to use it anyway. And now I guess I got my answer because Jenelle WAS using it anyway. How will any of them ever have a real job where you can't actually have your cell phone in your hand all day?

Jenelle - "CPS has came by numerous of times..." This was shown during the "catch phrase" moments. 

Nessa, that is not a fucking catch phrase! Shame on you MTV for making light of the fact CPS has visited Jenelle numerous times. Sickos.

Kail telling Chelsea about Bahamas not being all that. Look you skank, you hate Bahamas because you went there with your husband, the guy you did not love. Don't tell Chelsea where she can go on vacation. I loved how Chelsea told that piece of trash Bahamas was on HER bucket list.

Gotta go against the grain here as it relates to Leah; I don't think she was sober at the reunion or the Unseen Moments episode. Her voice, eyes, and the expression where her jaw was slack and then she pinched her face together suggests to me that she may have been on an anti-anxiety medicine, at minimum. If she needs it, fine, and I don't doubt that she suffers from anxiety, but she may need to lower her dosage a bit. When her drug use was first hitting social media, someone asked her on Twitter why she sounded so rough and she said she had allergies. I would have believed that because she sounded like she had the Mid-Ohio Valley crud, but she then suggested that she had an epi pen to carry around with her and kept forgetting it, which doesn't work with seasonal allergies, and she would know that if she had them. She didn't need to yell, "Monkey!" this time, so maybe it was the correct dosage, but it didn't look like it.

During the Unseen Moments episode she was looking especially harsh, mostly from that pancake makeup job, but also because she has lost just a bit too much weight. Both she and Maci look skeletal when they drop a few pounds, and both seem to drop weight quickly and effortlessly, and it always starts in the face. In the past, Leah has said she has trouble keeping the weight on during moments of stress. She was also sitting between a pregnant Chelsea and a pregnant Jenelle and Kail was kind enough to be all swollen and stuffed into clothing that was much too small making the other three look better. Except for Jenelle's breasts, which were odd looking and I think if she stood, she may fall over.

Janelle and Nessa's makeup looked okay to me this time, and the last few live aftershows had them looking horrible. Leah, Chelsea and Kail's makeup was horrendous. I don't remember ever thinking that Kail was attractive, but when she smiled a true smile, sometimes she looked pleasant. Amber back when she was using and Janelle have both had pretty moments. She was completely disproportionate, which is Kail's thing. Get your own, Jenelle!

I'm fully with the grain about Dr. Drew being as useless as always. Insisting to Barb that Janelle didn't mean anything by the hateful things she said, again, ad nauseum, made my heart break for Barb. I really wish she would see Jenelle for what she is and cut her out of their lives. She has already said she doesn't have a relationship with Kaiser and doesn't expect to get to have one with Ensley. Cut your losses and protect Jace; David will be out of the picture and Janelle will be back, then you can discuss with her that the horrible bra she was wearing on Unseen Moments makes her look fat and oddly proportioned as opposed to perky.

Drew was way too soft on Jenelle. He keeps trying to point out that she's turned her life around. No. All she did was throw some money at it. She's still a narcissistic flaky bitch that only cares about herself. She's so phony and he either cannot see through it (which would make me question him as a doctor, if I hadn't already) or he is scared to call her out. 

Nathan would have a better case if he weren't such a petty brat. He storms around and fights dirty and just looks like a buffoon, so you can't take him seriously. I did enjoy his dig when he said he was going through a rough time after breaking up with the ONLY girl he's ever loved....Jessie. Burrrrrn. You know he says that shit about every girl, but it was funny with Jenelle sitting right there. 

But Jenelle can lose me with her concerns about Kai not being well taken care of when he's with Nathana's mom. What? Grandma doesn't have a playpen and hot dogs???

Then she's concerned about JACE not being well taken care of because Barb has osteoporosis. Oseteo-fucking-porosis. Like that's typically some major, debilitating disease. What about Jenelle and her mystery disease with 34839508405 symptoms???

Barb, also, could do better with these things. I know she's doing her best, but she is just not very articulate. And she gets emotional when dealing with Jenelle and her points aren't well made. Instead of hyper-focusing on David, who is just a symptom of Jenelle's terrible personality, she should just say - "Look, Jace is 7 years old now. He has lived with me his entire life. It would not be fair, to him, to make him start all over. Jenelle has not made any attempts to move closer to allow as a little transition as possible. She only brings up custody on a whim and has dropped it on a whim. I do not see consistency and willingness to sacrifice, two things a mother needs to have". 

I'm dreaming, I know. But those are the points that need to be made. 

And, of course, David doesn't come out. Fucking loser. 

 

Leah must be thanking her lucky stars she got the short segment last night. She's still a shit mother, but I guess she pales in comparison to the drama with Kail and Jenelle this year. Don't worry, I'm sure her turn will come back around sooner or later. I am glad to hear that she and Cory are getting along well now and that they attended a medical conference for Ali. I hope they keep on educating themselves, so they can handle her situation better.

First of all, this reunion was pretty lackluster. Nothing will ever top the glory of Amber storming the stage to take a swing at Farrah on the OG reunion.

Second of all, Dr. Drew is the worst. He claims that Jenelle is doing so much better because of David, but is she really? Because all I see is David taking charge of Jenelle's life and stripping her of her own volition. He controls her interactions with Nathan, he controls her interactions with Barb, he texts her instructions while she's on stage. This is HER life, HER family, HER show, and yet she seems content to let David hold her hand and do her thinking for her. There's a definite power imbalance that should have been called out by Dr. Drew.

And David had to be reassured that Jenelle wasn't gossiping about his penis size? Really?? If their relationship was as strong and healthy as they proclaim, then David should know that Nathan's story was bullshit. The fact that Jenelle called the friend immediately to clear her name is very telling. She's desperate to keep David calm and happy.

Lastly, it made me really sad to hear Barb admit she doesn't have a relationship with Kaiser. It's a reminder that Jace isn't the only victim of family dysfunction. I feel so sorry for the kids for being ensnared in this mess, and that it's all being immortalized on camera.

What kills me is when he says shit like, "David seems to be a stabilizing force". First, that's complete and utter bullshit. But....IF Jenelle were more stable, shouldn't SHE be the stabilizing force? It doesn't seem healthy, to me, to attribute getting to a better place because of a man. (or whomever) Because as soon as they're gone, you're back to your own ways. Jenelle needs to be single for a good, long time and learn to be her own stabilizing force, and then I might believe she's really changed. I know - never gonna happen.

I hope so. I hope they keep that kind of stuff up. I'm not trying to excuse their ignorance, but I do have to wonder if the RARITY of Ali's specific diagnosis factors into how they approach it? Maybe their thought process is something like - "Since this is so rare, there isn't a lot known about it, so maybe what the doctors think isn't set in stone". I'm not saying I would think that way, but I can see how someone could. Going to conferences and trying to educate themselves more is a step in the right direction.

Yeaaaa.....anyone else feel it was kind of skeevy to be celebrating 100 episodes? It's not like this is Friends or something. This is a show revolving around the toxic relationships that these poor kids have to suffer through. I don't think MORE of this trash is anything to celebrate. (Yes, I know, kind of hypocritical when I watch it.)
