Interesting that Azan says he loves Morocco and wanted her to like Morocco as well and Pedro plans to return to the DR after he has a trade (?).  Are they really desperate for green cards or is it the girls who want them here?  I think we all get why the Cabbage Patch chick wants to be here via Jorge.  

Nicole's behavior is beyond incredible to me.  I realize she's giddy because she liked the way he said hello online and he sent her a ring 'moji, but when they show her saying something like she's not a sit and listen kind of girl, which was apparent from the way she blew off her parental squad, things got real.  She chose to grind him into the ground over her foiled plan to boink the boy constantly, and pout, and cry.  20 something years on this earth and I bet he's never come across anything like her before.  What a mess. Two or three episodes in and I already feel sorry for half the men.  

It's surprises me, too, that the US families have no problem being rude to the new arrivals.  Chantel's brother and her greasy girlfriend, and the collection of M names Alla was forced to explain herself to, were pretty awful, I thought.   They've been off the plane about a day.  Geez.

Yes and it was up to Matt to control the situation. Either by saying Alla just got here, not today, or how about introducing him to your family in very small groups, like meeting his brother for drinks or having his mom come over alone. These staged family interrogations are ridic. Like who would say "have you ever been married?" to someone you just met and has a small child? Ask her damn fiance. Ugh.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes practically out of my head when Azan was explaining to Nicole that they can only hold hands in public. Her response? "Can I kiss your shoulder?" His answer was a bit of stunned silence and then, "I don't know about that." NO! The correct answer is NO! In fact, don't do that EVER no matter what country you're in. It's kinda gross. And I say that as someone who enjoys a bit of PDA with my BF. Maybe next time we're out, I'll gnaw on his shoulder a little and see what reaction I get. Don't think it'll be good.

So far, I'm not liking what I've seen of Pedro! It's not that he missed his plane. It was that he bristled when Chantel tried to ask him about it! After all, she bought him that ticket. If he missed the flight because of his own incompetence, didn't he at least owe her some sort of an apology? Or perhaps even a phone call before she got herself all dolled up and trotted down to the airport? Instead, he got irritated when she, in a very polite way, tried to find out what was going on.

Also, has he been attempting to learn ANY English while this process has been going on? He only appears to know a few simple phrases ~ a week's worth of English at best.

It does look like Pedro finally gets around to actually doing something in the next episode ~ he reprimands Chantel for having a good time.

We'll see how this turns out.

Yes, to this entire post.  Azan might have thought Nicole had a full face, but did she ever send him a full body shot, like the one he sent her?  You can have a full face, but a narrow body, just as you can have a small-ish face and a larger frame. 

To me, fat shaming is when you equate being fat with a crime, it's when you call someone bad names.  I don't think it's a crime to suggest that someone eat healthy food and exercise.

When she was telling Jorge she wants $10,000 a month in a clothing allowance, my first thought was: "get it, girl!"

 I fervently hope Nicole and Azan break up. That would be epic. I would love to see him pouring a sobbing Nicole into the van to the airport, then watch the tears of happiness and relief flow down his smiling face. Get out, Azan! There's still time!

Anfisa is my favorite too. She's hilarious. Jorge is so besotted, she's just testing the boundaries to see how far she can go.

I actually didn't think Azan's comments were that bad in the grand scheme of things. He didn't say she was a cow or that he wanted her to be a size zero - he told Nicole that he would like to exercise with her and eat healthy foods with her. And if you're going to marry someone and spend the rest of your life with them, that's fair enough - ideally, you would want them to be healthy and active so they can live a long life. Unfortunately, Nicole's immediate reaction was: "he's not attracted to me," and to begin pouting like a child.  Sigh.

I agree, I thought it was said more in a context of "I enjoy these things and I want to share them with her". Her snotty "oh. so, you want me to change" was so uncalled for. She is acting like a middle schooler.  Change is good, Nicole. You have a kid. One might think you'd want to set a good example for her. I agree with @millennium, she's headed for My 600 pound life, and poor May will be her full time pee pad changer.

See, I saw it differently.  I think Matt's family is concerned because he's a sucker for a pretty-ish face.  They want to make sure that Alla isn't like Anfisa, coming to the US to be the next Kardashian.  After seeing Anifisa, I don't blame Matt's family one bit.  I'd grill the woman too.

I am fascinated by Nicole. She's such a contradiction.  She makes these very juvenile comments and demands, but then when she doesn't get what she wants (or is trying to pressure Anza - whatever his name is), she looks decidedly like a  much older woman, and poof! The soft, timid little girl is gone, replaced by a woman with hard eyes and a hard mouth -- hard look, period.  Funny, that.

We are gladly releasing your daughter.  We are even paying for her airfare back to America.  May Allah have mercy on you.

Nicole has no respect for Azan and he needs to just end this now before the authorities send one or both of them to jail.  She is an immature idiot if she thinks this will work.

I had hopes for Matt's woman, but she deserves better.  Why didn't his dear mommy tell him to buy some food to have on hand. Actually, I am surprised she wasn't there in the morning to make breakfast for them.  Yeah, that interrogation session at the restaurant was a great idea.

Chantal should just come clean with the folks and get it over with.  That is the only way they might have a chance (but they really don't anyway, so...)

There was some speculation about the big secret Jorge has earlier about him possibly having been born a man.  The more I see her, I wonder if it wasn't Anfisa who was born a man.   I would feel bad for the poor guy because he is going to end up with nothing, but he has such a warped feeling about the role of women that I almost think he deserves what he is going to get.

I don't think I can watch this anymore.  It is just too depressing and TLC should be ashamed of where they have taken this channel.

Well,  Nicole just has to be  the most clueless, uninteresting putz on the planet. She meets someone ONLINE, and gets 'engaged' within 3 weeks.

She then, flies to Morocco (a country she never even knew existed) for five weeks?  (Oh, and she already has a 2 year old because, well, someone obviously said "boo" to her.....so she lowered her pants)

Now, within 24 hours of touching down in Morocco, (again to meet a man FOR THE FIRST TIME), she again drops her drawers.  Not only that....but she ANNOUNCES this all on TV. (Way to go! I'm sure your daughter will be proud of you).  

Isn't it time someone called Child Services on this  "mother" (I almost gagged typing mother)

In California, try getting an apartment with no 'proof' of income! Butterball may be rolling in dough (doubt it), but since all transactions are in CASH, (just look at the problems in Colorado) he has no way of proving his income. 

How to fix that problem?  

1) BUY A house........stop trying to rent...oh, and don't try for a mortgage......use your damn cash

2) Use a 'straw' buyer/renter......if you have cash it is easy enough to do

3) Move to Las Vegas (they are quite used to a cash only culture)

Oh! and Jorge? You aren't going to make it in the grow-op thing if one little robbery sends you running from your abode. 

TLC has jumped the shark this season.  The story lines are like swiss cheese. (Apologies to Swiss cheese as they have far less holes.)

I think Anfisa and Alla are both the same; gold diggers who want to come to the US, they say for a better life, but I think what they mean is fame and $$$.  I wonder if both of them had several suckers on hold but these two were the ones who actually paid for their plane tickets. 

I can understand Matt's family, because I'd do the same thing if my brother brought over paid for a wife from overseas.  He's got "lonely sucker" written on his forehead; I don't feel for Alla just because she's a woman.

I feel like in this day and age any man with some time and experience behind him knows exactly why these women are getting into relationships with them. Matt is over 40 and has been married more times than the average person. At this point in his life I don't think he should he felt sorry for and I certainly don't think it's fair for his family to treat Alla the way they did. At least wait to see if she doesn't treat him good before attacking her. He knew what he was doing. He made more than one trip over there for a reason. I'm not trying to defend everyone who's after a green card but at the same time I don't blame her for wanting a better life and if they're willing to try to have a good marriage I think they should be left alone. I feel bad for Azan though. I don't think a green card is worth what he already has, and will continue, to go through. Nicole is a horrid person and an embarrassment to American women.

I can't add anymore about Nicole that hasn't already been said.  Chantal and Pedro's situation is dumb. It's always smart to start a relationship with a lie. I'm thinking Jorge has money issues. Like he owes a ton in back taxes or just really bad credit (maybe the IRS is garnishing his wages and his TLC income is paying the IRS). Since, he's mentioning about not being able to rent, then it's got to be something like that.  Poor Alla...being in the Ukraine has to be better than Matt's family.

I had a dream last night that I was on a train and monsters boarded the train and started corralling all of the humans. A few us managed to scramble up into the rafters and hide (the train having grown as tall as a warehouse). Somehow, Nicole was up there with us. We were all trying to be very quiet so the monsters wouldn't think to look up to the ceiling and catch us. Nicole, completely oblivious to the situation, would not shut up. She just kept nattering on about how she was on her way to meet her soulmate and how he was so handsome and really hot. We tried everything we could to get her to shut her pie hole. When that didn't work, we threw her down to the monsters. The rest of us survived.

How is it possible that the fact that Jorge doesn't have a home never came up in any of their prior conversations?  If he had a home, she'd have to live with whatever is already there, at least for a while. Now, when they rent an empty apartment, she is going to go buck wild spending his money on furnishings, decor, household items, and who knows what else. Only the best for Anfisa!

I'm very confused about Pedro and Chantal  - why would her family be any more outraged about him being in the US to marry her than they would be at him being in the US to shack up with her as a student or otherwise? It's already been established that he isn't working so she's supporting him.They already knew the two were dating because she's gone to the DR to see him multiple times apparently. So I just don't see the point of the whole "let's tell an elaborate and easily deducable lie" thing. It makes zero sense.

Because if he's here as a student, that means there's an end date to this little adventure. They are hoping against hope that he's going to finish his class, go home, and Chantel will be over this little infatuation of hers. I don't think they knew he wouldn't be working. On the previous episode, when Chantel's mother said flat out that she and her husband would be pissed off if Pedro was not working, Chantal was deliberately silent and her mother didn't pick up on that. Chantel also said Pedro wanted to be an airplane mechanic. I assumed - as her mother probably did - that that was a specialized trade course and a short term thing that would lead to profitable employment (read: financial independence). Then he got here, he speaks almost no English, Chantel says he's in college, and he can't work at all, and now this is starting to look like a whole other situation. He's got no job, he's not actually enrolled anywhere, and t looks like whatever he's going to be doing is going to take quite a while.

I want to set a stopwatch to measure the time when Anfisa realizes he has no money to the time she is outta there. I'm guessing it's either moments, OR she hangs out long enough to catch another sugar daddy stateside. 

Now I completely understand that there's a different level of "foreign-ness" in moving from a major US city over to London than there is moving from Bumblefuck, The South all the way to Morocco

. 

Nicole isn't from Bumblefuck, she's from Bradenton, FL. She is less than an hour from a city (Tampa-St Pete) of almost 3 million people. No excuse for being backward. 

I think Alla is legit, but I also think that if Matt didn't hold the keys to the kingdom (i.e. path to a green card), she wouldn't give him a second look.

I think it's going to take her a little while to figure out whether he really has no money, or if he's just being cheap and won't spend it on her. She has to know he's not big time rich, so now she has to work out exactly what she's dealing with. I wonder if he will pull a Danielle and promise to share all of the financials...AFTER the ceremony.

It's great that he barely understands English. He can duck any uncomfortable questions by saying he doesn't understand (leaving Chantel to dig the hole deeper all by herself). I am really looking forward to her parents' reaction when they find out the truth.  Her whole family is concerned that she's getting played, and she's the one playing all of them. I bet it's fun sitting around her house with the fam watching this together.

Dear god, I hope Nicole brought her birth control. Azan is a very good sport - it's always fun to show someone around your hometown/ home country, but not when they're an absolute stick in the mud and don't respect your religion/culture. This relationship is soooo going to crash and burn. Nicole is a cute girl, but she needs a better bra. And what is this "stuff that happened" before she went to Morocco?

I rather like Alla. Matt is a total goober (and his family is rude), but I'm kind of rooting for them. Max is adorable.
