Jill, Derick & the Kids: Moving On!!

At this point, I'd say she just doesn't give a fuck (it also doesn't help that her IQ apparently doesn't breech the triple digits). Generally speaking, I don't think the Duggars have ever learned to try to do things well. At most, they just do them. Jill's half-assed attempts at food blogging is just an example of this.

The endless supply of attention, money,  and positive reinforcement for doing nothing but smiling at a camera while going through the superficial motions really did these kids a disservice.

Topic?  I also wonder how Derelict is affording to live, and how he's doing in "law school".

We won't know how he's doing until the end of the semester, per someone that goes to the law school and the experience of other lawyers here. I think Derick may be able to leak out a full year's attendance, but certainly not three. For all we know Jesus will coincidentally lead him to another field of lazy gifting at the semester's end.

It’s been driving me crazy trying to figure out what funds they are living on each month!   Even if rent is minimal, there are bills like utilities, cell phones, internet, groceries etc.   normally I would include insurance, but we all know he’s not spending money on that.

No income, law school debt adding up, and no sign of Derick looking for a job in the next few years.    HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE??

My best quess is Derelict threw a hissy fit about Jill not receiving compensation for her many years on the show and Boob gave them a lump sum payout to shut him up.

If this is the case, the money wont last long. Once they piss it away the Dullards will be back to grifting as per usual IMHO.

I saw the picture of the lime beans on Instagram, and what I thought was weird about them was that the contents of the bowl looked black and white!!! I zoomed in on it several times, but it looked black and white. It honestly looked like someone had photoshopped it. How can one make a recipe...any recipe...that looks so bland black and white? Even white rice would have a shine! And excuse me, but i have my troubles believing that pot of red chili-looking stuff is the same black and white crap in the bowl.

Jill's version looks it has Ramen noodles in it to me.  Or those  noodles made out of rice (I think) that are on the transparent side.  It is funny with all the cilantro in it, none of it shows up in her version. (I know someone already mentioned this but I didnt feel like searching for post & I think it bears repeating.)

I vote for rice noodles, black beans, white rice, and tofu. Jilly went to an Asian restaurant once with her family, so she knows about these food thingies.

Is anyone on her account asking what's in Izzy's bowl, or are they all gushing over headship and law student Derick vacuuming the living room?

It's allllll people saying, "he's vacuuming FOR YOU?" And then 10,000 leghumpers angrily screaming, "No! Derick is the provider! Some of us like traditional gender roles! He's doing something nice! Quit being negative." I actually do like gender roles...buuuuut...Derick is not providing. HE needs to step up around the house while he's in school, and JILL needs to get a job!

I agree with you, ginger90. This video was horrifying to watch...where do I begin? Pointing a fork in the face of a wobbly toddler? Eating food after it falls on Jill's kitchen floor? Yay, Yay...how many times did Jilly say that? It was so annoying to hear. I could go on forever. They truly are shitty parents.

Not to mention the size of the chunks Izzy pulled off the banana & fed to Sam. I was waiting for Sam to start choking on them.

Both Jill and her stupid husband are encouraging this nonsense for the camera. Couldn't they sit the kids down at the table, the one where derick is, and have Izzy feed Sam from a small plate of cut up banana pieces? That might have been cute. If there had been an accident with that fork or with choking, they would have blamed Izzy for the rest of his life. Sheer idiots.

Free these poor kids.

How quickly this could have turned tragic. How stupid are these two? And the chunks were huge!

Did I really see Izzy feeding Sam a chunk after it fell on the floor?  And the dipshit parents were OK with that?

Yay!  Sam ate whatever shit wasn't swept up, not to mention bacteria from God-knows-where.

Dumb as a fence post, X two.

And Jill said something like, it’s okay if there’s no yuck on it?

Jill's videos seem to be her (or Derick) trying to get the kids to perform for the camera. It does not ever feel like she is catching her kids doing something cute or funny. I have not watched all the videos she puts out, but it is like she turns the camera on and expects them to perform. Also, her videos feel so long. Jessa's videos of her kids work better for me because it seems like she is capturing her kids just being kids.

This seems to be their sole source of income at the moment so I’m sure they need to crank out as much nonsense as they can for clicks. It’s really all Jilly knows. Her dipshit parents did it to her and now she’s trying to do the same with her kids.

Jill, your life and kids aren’t that interesting. Find a new way to support your family.

I've heard that, but never really believed it :)

Izzy was saying, "HURRY" to Sammy when he was trying to feed him the piece that fell on the floor.  I wonder if Jill taught him the "10 second rule!"

I've also heard about the 10 second rule.  Germaphobe here!

Poor little guys.  So their clueless idiot parents get paid for posting their sad parenting?  Ugh.

I know Izzy meant well, but I was terrified he was going to accidentally poke Sam in the eye with that fork.

Even the pieces of banana that Jill cut off were still too big for a one year-old.

Izzy was being encouraged by both parents so Jilly could film it. Would you want to hire a lawyer who thinks it's fine and dandy to sit there and let a young child wave a fork in a toddler's face while both kids are on their feet moving around? How much sense could this guy bring to the job?

I have no doubt that Jesus will lay it on his heart to call him to follow yet another path. Sooner rather than later. *eyeroll*

Jesus Christ. Those poor, poor boys. With parents like that, they have no chance.

My grandmother always said everyone eats a pack of dirt in their life, and no she would not have approved of what is being described .

My grandma said the same thing. You've got to eat a peck of dirt before you die. Her kitchen was immaculate, and you could have eaten off her floors. However, you wouldn't do that, because it's gross. After working for over a year to teach my twins to not eat stuff off the floor, I smh at Jilly being ok with it. My 8 year old son will sometimes do it if we're not watching. (Boys.. ?) When I fed my children bananas, we always had them bite pieces off themselves. What was with the fork? Stupidity. I was waiting for a horrible accident. Izzy and Sam are just adorable kids. It's a pity they'll never have a chance.

All the idioticness has been said so I'll just point out how non-daddy-like it was for Derick to shake hands with his own baby!  Sam ran into Derick's arms, probably wanting to be picked up and cold dad sticks out his arm to shake hands!

Also, Jill didn't even have a clue that Sam-Sam was done with the banana game. She kept taunting him when Sam was so done.

Compared to plastic toddler forks, Izzy's proffering seemed almost as dangerous as a pictch fork.

I was in disbelief that Jill was fine with eating food off the floor!

Bin seems fairly affectionate with his boys, but have we seen the other Duggar & Duggar adjacent males hug their young sons? Did the lost boys get hugged by JB when they were little that we know of? Because my asshole older brother isn't religious, but he is a raging homophobe, and from time his son was a toddler he'd be all 'boys don't hug boys' and he'd high five him instead. Maybe Derrick's trying to get Sam and Izzy into that mindset as early as possible.

I could have interpreted this incorrectly, but when Samuel had enough of the banana nonsense, Jill said he was teasing Israel. I guess all Derick heard was Jill use the word, teasing, and thought she meant Israel. Derick said something to Israel, and Jill jumped in and said she was referring to Samuel. It was as if she was defending Israel from the  wrath of his father. Just me?

I saw and cringed on the fork mess, but I also wondered if Jill is unconsiously training Izzy to take her role in the family.  The small child who is put in charge of taking over daily care of the younger child.  I know that they're both boys, but when I first saw the family, it was on a one shot show called "14 Kids and Pregnant Again".  During that show, the boys are shown being buddies to their younger siblings.  Sometime after that, by the time the Duggars got their own seasonal show, the boys had been released from child care duties and it was only the girls who had buddy teams.  I wonder if Jill either knows or suspects that she won't have many (or any) more kids and has decided that the eldest child is ready to start training to be a buddy team leader.

I was thinking why was there no child proof locks on the cabinets while watching the video. And yes, the pieces were too big for Sam. They look too big for me to be able to eat.

Jill did childproof the cabinets. Yes, she documented it on Instagram or in a video when Sam started walking. I remember us commenting at the time that it was a year late, considering that Izzy had been living there as a mobile toddler for about a year before they took these measures.

Thanks for the correction. And yes, I am a lefty also.

Eating bananas with a fork and shaking hands with one's kids is behavior known to the Queen of England.   That produced the current Prince of Wales so I'm not sure that's an unqualified success story.  I wonder if the Dillards know that or it would surprise them.

Oh gosh my oldest son -the one who is 50 - would only eat bananas cut into circles and with a fork. He sat in his high chair with a bib. Back in the way back days the sippy cups left a lot to be desired. We are as far from royal as can be!  And now he doesn’t eat bananas at all even when I offer to cut them into circles!

Uh.....small voice.....I may have picked up a cookie off the floor and ate it. Only my floor though, because I know how clean it is. I definitely would not it a cut up banana off the floor, because it seems like a type of food that can collect a lot of debris. Then again, I am one of the few people who do not like bananas so I really would not eat it on or off the floor.
