Leah considers reuniting with Jeremy; Isaac struggles with Javi's impending deployment; Jenelle's birthday trip to New York is ruined by Nathan; Chelsea and Cole celebrate their engagement; and Aubree has sad news about Adam.

What month was the Leah/Jeremy dinner scene filmed? They're dining outside and people in the background are wearing shorts.

Leah took the girlses to the pumpkin patch, so I'd say September/October. IIRC, nationwide the weather was pretty nice last fall.

Monagatuna, I felt overwhelming second hand embarrassment for Leah, too. It's obvious Germy just wanted to finish his drink and get the hell out of there.

Dues made the tweet and everyone assumed he was talking about Leah and Jeremy's televised dinner. He later said HE was the one who met up with an ex over dinner and Leah was the one who felt it was inappropriate. I thought that was kind of backpedaling though- his wording suggested he thought it was wrong which makes me think it was in reference to Leah and Jeremy. Plus the tweet took place right around this time so odd that Leah would do it then give him grief for doing something similar. Then again, there's Leah, and there's logic, and never the twain shall meet.

Leah is so drunk at the dinner. I love her comment about how she "never" drinks so the alcohol hit her hard. Sure, Leah.

Jeremy looks like he's regretting that dinner date. He must be so embarrassed now remembering how hard he pursued her.

Janelle draws the line of "using" her son to get out of trouble? But not the last few months of not letting Nathan see the roll? And Janelle asking why hasn't he asked? Well because you changed your number.

Gawd Leah looks thirsty as hell. And saying she's organized. LOLZ.  And she's delusional as ever.

Now Addy doesn't even want to go home with Leah. The girls seem like they totally have fun at Corey's house. It makes me sick that Leah pushes the girls into admitting that they "don't want to go to Dad's house." And shut up, Leah. Jeremy never wanted you back. Again she was already in a relationship during this time, and here she is discussing wanting to get back with an ex. She's not only a physical cheater, but an emotional one, too!

And look, once again, Jo is being totally open to letting Isaac stay with his mom and Javi for a few extra days so he can see Javi off. Yeah Kail, he's such a terrible father. He's always been amicable to her and her demands.

I don't like Nathan very much, but I do think it's incredibly wrong that he wasn't asked to watch his own kid while Jenelle gallivanted off to New York for absolutely no reason. That won't look good for her when it comes to the custody hearing.

Dues tweet was in December. His ex-girlfriend then made a tweet or was interviewed in January (article was linked previously) where she mentioned needing to meet up with Leah who was very jealous and did not comprehend Dues and her seeing each other the way they do. It had been that way before Leah entered the picture, but Leah was not having it.

Just ADMIT you don't want to get Jace back. Why not worry about getting permanent custody of BOTH of your sons, not just one. Please don't ever stop fighting for him, Barbara. You deserve to be the custodial parent for that little boy until he's 18.

I still think Leah is a mess. And she was drunk at her dinner with Germy. She most likely takes prescription meds for her depression, you are not suppose to drink alcohol.

I felt so bad for Isaac. Say what you want about Javi but that little boy loves his step dad.

I felt bad for Aubree too saying Adam doesn't play with her. I believe her. Nathan is only in the picture for an MTV paycheck.

I like how everytime Jenelle's current boyfriend brings up custody of Jace she always has a excuse to put it off. 'I have to clear up this stuff with Nathan' .

Yes!  And telling him that he's "in charge now"?  No, adults are in charge and are responsible for taking care of kids.

I think Aubree's comment about Adam not playing with her would have been a lot more upsetting if it didn't come after years of her getting reinforced with lots of attention for saying or agreeing to negative things about him.  He's a dick, but whether it's played up for the cameras or not, Chelsea does not seem to miss an opportunity to grill Aubree about what he did wrong during his visitation time.  She's now learned that this is a great way to get attention and sympathy.

The teen dad aftershow is hella awkward. David? Also surprised they invited Adam after all his recent bitterness about the show. Speaking of bitter, he can barely sit still he's so angry. Suck it Adam, you are a terrible father.

Corey and Jeremy were both pretty diplomatic when asked about Leah. Glad they took the (semi) high road.

As for antidepressants, I mean, it's generally 'not advised' to drink at all when you're depressed, but it's also 'not advised' to drink at all if you are having unprotected sex with your spouse and *could* get pregnant. I think that's a pretty unrealistic request, but yes, you should generally avoid getting really drunk or something. Some wine should be perfectly fine. I don't think the antidepressants are Leah's issue...I think it's more the opiates + the alcohol, which can be a doozy of a combo. Or, honestly, I really just thought it was an excuse to act flirtier and more sexually aggressive with Jeremy, and she was exaggerating how 'drunk' she was so she could hit on him. I did feel bad for her, it's just as much his fault that he got with her and pursued her so hard when she was clearly a mess and he wasn't ready to be a dad or a husband. Like, if you don't want to be surprised, maybe don't get married after 2 seconds and immediately have a baby when your wife is still hung up on her ex? And then act all personally affronted when there's some shit you didn't know about and the marriage doesn't work out when you're never home and your wife is a reality show teen mom (shocker) with a penchant for cheating? Live and learn. But man, that dinner was EMBARRASSING on Leah's part.

I have no words for Adam. Audiences are generally overly understanding of the dads on this show because the standards are so low. If he showed even a modicum of decency/respect/basic parenting skills, he'd look amazing and people would be all over him like they are on Jo/Javi/Corey/even Tyler and Ryan (to an extent). Like, a tiny strip of basic civility and he'd be golden. But he can't manage it.

That aftershow was awkward but it was actually better than listening to the moms talk about the same old shit. I have no idea why David was there and Nathan wasn't.

I spent the entire show trying to figure out who David reminded me of and then it hit me, he's Early Grace from Kalifornia. I tried to post a picture for your entertainment but I couldn't figure out how to.

Anyway, I thought Chelsea and Cole's vacation looked kind of boring. It doesn't sound like much fun having a camera crew following you around prompting you to talk about stupid shit.

Leah must feel awfully stupid now for thinking Jeremy was interested in getting back together with her. Mtv obviously set the dinner up for drama but Leah is to stupid/high to realize it.

So Chelsea is on vacation and I am thinking, well at least Aubrey gets a break from being grilled and the scene cuts to Grandma grilling her about Adam. They need to stop with the constant comparisons between Adam and Cole. That is bad for Aubrey and will eventually lead to resentment towards them. Kids want to love their parents despite their faults and yes I know Adam has many but he is still Dad and not going away. Aubrey will figure things out on her own. Kids are smart that way. I like Chelsea but she is hurting Aubrey more than Adam which I feel is probably her true goal.

Chelsea is the best mom on the show but the bar is set so low so that's not saying much.

"Take a picture of me putting these starfish on my boobs"

"Aubree are you happy or sad that we're getting married?"

"We're on our engagement-moon"

My IQ dropped just watching her. She pissed me off with her baby voice and I was done with her scenes.

Everything else was meh

I'm beginning to think Leah Messer is delusional. It really clicked for me tonight, when watching her at dinner, where she told a CLEARLY uninterested Jeremy, "I feel like you regret that we didn't stay together." I know, I know, love is blind, etc. but he couldn't be more over her if he tried and anyone w/even a basic grasp on reality would be able to see that.

What Aubreys grandmother did was a disgrace and she should have known better. I think Aubrey has memorized how the convo goes. I love at first she refuses to play along and says she only wants to call her real dad daddy, how it is icky about the marriage, etc. then the pity face comes on and she gives the well worn story of her dads crimes. He doesn't play with her, his phone is always on, he leaves her with his parents. Such crap.

And seriously, that had Chelsea sobbing? Ridiculous. Adam could also twist things by saying that Chelsea had a strange unrelated man move in with his small child, that Chelsea never spends any time with Aubrey alone anymore, she doesn't bring Aubrey on vacation anymore, etc, but he doesn't. He appreciates that Coke is a good guy and accepts him as a stepfather. What a shitty conversation he had to see for the first time on TV.

The fact is that he is getting his shit together and Chelsea can't make him go away. She is incredibly immature and her parents encourage it.

I have to disagree w/this. I don't think Leah was on opiates at dinner, I think she's just a small person w/a low tolerance, who doesn't drink much to begin with, so she doesn't know her limits. It happens. I've gotten like that before, especially before I learned my limits and I wasn't on anything. And I don't think she was faking it, I think she just genuinely didn't know her limits and had 1 too many and became an even bigger hot mess than she already is.

You're right, Jeremy did pursue her, HARD, but I remember, a few times, last season, he kept making various comments like, "She went from normal to crazy..." "The girl I fell in love with ain't the girl I got now..." I think - and kind of remember, actually - that Leah used to be different. She's always had her faults but she wasn't always the hot mess she is now, at least not to this extent. Somewhere along the way, something happened to Leah where, mentally, she just broke. Like something in her snapped and she could no longer manage the most basic things, like getting the kids to school on time, cleaning the car out, etc.

Drugs may have played a role in it but I think the main thing is that she suffered from post-partdum depression after having Adylyn. And Leah is a very needy person, who needs constant relationship re-enforcement in order to stay motivated in life, I think. so Jeremy being gone 6/7 days a week made her fall even further apart, since Leah basically felt like a single mom, raising 3 kids, 1 w/a disability, 6/7 days a week. Meanwhile, Jeremy was coming home to a messy-ass hoarder house and complete chaos, so he's getting turned off and becoming distant and Leah, of course, sensed that, which further lowered her self-esteem and made her sink further into depression, which only lessened Jeremy's interest even more and the cycle continued until there was nothing left...

As for antidepressants, I mean, it's generally 'not advised' to drink at all when you're depressed, but it's also 'not advised' to drink at all if you are having unprotected sex with your spouse and *could* get pregnant. Yeah, it's definitely easy to see how the combo of 3 kids, 2 marriages, a weak moral center/low IQ to begin with, a husband who's emotionally distant and gone 6 days a week (which, let's face it, would harm any marriage), a background of poverty and ignorance, a reality show, depression, childbirth, and natural neediness would result in the mess we see today.

I actually felt sorry for Leah tonight. She obviously wants a guy to just love her unconditionally but there are so many issues with her that are not being dealt with and she continues to spiral down. Leah doesn't seem to have any sense that until her true problems are addressed, she is pretty much screwed out of finding her happiness. I thought the scene with her sister was very telling also. She, the sister knows the scoop and there was such a look of hopelessness on her face.

I agree w/all you said except the low IQ part. I actually think Leah Messer is very smart, I can tell by the way she talks about her daughter's medical condition in detail and understands the specifics, etc. the same way she understood a lot of the medical issues/risks she was facing when she was pregnant w/the twins. I don't think she's dumb. But that doesn't matter when she's also disorganized as hell, depressed, low self-esteem, lonely, stressed, on a reality show and managing 3 kids alone 6/7 days a week, 1 w/a disability. Add to that that she's flighty/unfaithful/insecure in relationships and also very needy....her intelligence doesn't matter.

But like you said, her circumstances would probably make anyone depressed and stressed out, even a very strong person, I imagine, would have a hard time with all that, let alone someone as fragile and flawed as Leah.

I agree. I think Leah is too fragile and perhaps too ashamed to truly address these problems head-on and admit that she's still struggling w/them, it's easier for her to just go into denial.

I'm sure I'll have more thoughts later but just finished the episode and thought that "goodbye" dinner with Javi was so depressing!  Last dinner together as a family for 6 months as they haul styrofoam boxes out of plastic bags. My observations for this episode are superficial and petty, but so what?

How many vases of sticks, ugly-ass candleholders and bowls full of shells and sparkly balls does Kailyn need?

Leah resembled Kim Richards when she was crying to her sister.

Adam and his muscle-headed friend both chewing their gum with their mouths open made my fists clench.

I went back to study the animation of King Kong climbing the Empire State Building (or as David called it, "The Eiffel Tower"), to make sure it wasn't a cartoon of David.

I love apes but I find David truly repelling.

Nathan's hairline is shaped like a slice of pie. Odd.

I cry often but wouldn't think to wipe my eyes with a paper towel like Chelsea did. My sleeve, toilet paper, tissue, shirt, curtain, whatever, but a paper towel? That would feel unpleasant.

I agree that Aubree reads the room and has a well rehearsed cache of answers ready whenever anyone interrogates her about Adam. I generally like Chelsea but I feel like they're starting to cross some lines here. The brainwashing campaign was complete several months ago, they can give it a rest now. Poor Aubree is going to be so over it by the time this wedding rolls around.

I agree that Javi shouldn't have been pressuring Isaac about being man of the house. I know he didn't mean any harm, but Isaac is a sensitive kid. I can see him taking something like that to heart and getting anxiety over it. Jo has a lot of patience dealing with Kail. Baby Vivi is a cutie.

Wow. The visit with Leah's sister sure said it all. Sounds like her sister had heard all about Leah thinking a reconciliation was in the works. The minute Leah walked in the door, she told her to slow her roll. Her forever 16 year old mentality was on full display tonight. Flirt with Germy when he picks up Addy and make an complete and total ass of herself at dinner. And, she is clueless as to why it didn't work. The fact that she's living with another guy and his kids while she's doing this just makes it more insane. She's gone from the Princess of the Holler to the Hottest Mess in Town.

Jenelle and her 'anxiety'. She just couldn't stand that they were having a drama free dinner and had to make it all about her. David's a real brainiac, huh?Gah! I hope they don't spawn!

Chelsea, you can't make Adam disappear. He'll always be Aubree's father and the sooner you figure that out and stop trying to make Cole replace him, the easier Aubree's life will be. He's going to disappoint her and you  just need to be there to offer comfort when it happens. Comfort without interrogation.

Before reading the wonderful snark...

Javi: I wish people would just stop it with the “You’re the man of house. You’re in charge now” stuff. Teaching young boys that they run the place is so ridiculously outdated to me. Especially laughable is that comment is followed up with, “You’re gonna listen to mommy? And do everything that mommy says?” Ugh.

Yeah, Kail is really broken up about her husband leaving for six months. It’s like she can’t possibly contain her glee. Isaac is crying at the table and perky Kail is all like, “It’s part of your job….” and all that. She can’t wait for him to go. Even in normal conditions without drama, she just reeks of not giving a shit about anyone but herself. It’s written all over her face.

Chelsea’s story line is going to be her constantly telling us that she is engaged and all that mush. Have fun Chelsea but I’m FF past your segments.

Leah. Same as Chelsea. No interest in her. I loved hearing Corey go right back at Gracie when the little terror called her teacher a liar. Not all teachers are perfect but I’d bet Gracie does not behave in school and it’s really refreshing to see a parent not get all defensive about their special snowflake.

Jenelle: Does something wrong. Has a court date. Whines about the court date. Flips out, cries or says “dude” 700 times. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

This guy doesn't even fall into the category of "average" intelligence, IMO. Every time he opened his mouth I was thinking "Whaaaaaat?"

1. What's your favorite sports team? "I don't watch sports." (Ok, I'll give him that one. Unless he doesn't know what "sports" means, which is a possibility. Keep reading).

2. What's one thing on your Bucket List? "Ice and beer." (Dave doesn't know what a "Bucket List" is).

3. Have you ever hooked up with a girl whose name you didn't know? "Nope." (Although I wonder what his answer would have been had the question been "Have you ever hooked up with a girl whose name you couldn't remember?")

4. What was the first car you ever owned? "A Mazda? I don't know." (Really? How old are you and how many cars have you owned that you can't remember your first car?)

5. What would your porn star name be? "Uncle Dave." (Okay, that answer just broke the creep-o-meter, Dave. I can only HOPE you don't know what a "porn star name" is).

6. What's one thing you're afraid of? "I'm afraid of this show."

7. Star Wars. Awesome or geeky? "I'd say both." Follow up question: Did you see the movies? "No." (Thank God for that, otherwise we'd all think you have no idea what either "awesome" or "geeky" mean - although that could be true, too).

Not to mention, I can understand, sort of, maybe not ever hearing of the Eiffel Tower (if you were brought up in a cave without TV, internet, or books, were raised by wolves, and never went to school). But to have heard of the Eiffel Tower, and think it's in NEW YORK?

So, the question is, what in the hell is Jenelle doing with this guy? Is it his "intelligence" she's attracted to, because it makes him easier for her to manipulate?

One more thing - the answers by ALL the Teen Dads to the questions about boys wanting Barbie dolls and kids asking questions about where babies come from pissed me off, not to mention fly in the face of the recommendations by experts in childrearing.
