Misslindsey February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 (edited) I was hoping for a Ruth Negga upset, but knew it would not happen. I would have gave it to any of the ladies except Meryl. I like Meryl, but do not think she should have been nominated. Edited February 27, 2017 by Misslindsey 10 Link to comment
Popular Post Dancingjaneway February 27, 2017 Popular Post Share February 27, 2017 It is extremely hypocritical of Hollywood/the academy to rail against anti-semitism, sexual abuse and such but then go and reward people that do those things. It would be nice if they would for once do the right thing. 30 Link to comment

thuganomics85 February 27, 2017 Author Share February 27, 2017 (edited) Yay, Emma Stone!!! Great evening for the leads of The Help! Didn't see Loving, but it's cool seeing Ruth Negga get some love. Remember first seeing her as Raina on Agents of Shield and being majorly impressed. Edited February 27, 2017 by thuganomics85 8 Link to comment

I'm still convinced that this was their "oops our bad" for not giving Denzel the Oscar for The Hurricane. Emma Stone won? I like her overall, but she was meh in this. And she's sadly giving me Anne Hathaway vibes. 10 Link to comment

irisheyes February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 I would have loved to see Meryl Streep win it. If only to see the President's head explode. ;) But, it was pretty obvious that Emma Stone was winning, so, yay? 6 Link to comment

Mumbles February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 Emma has won a few awards this season - BAFTA, SAG - and all of her speeches there were meandering and long-winded. This was a little better, but not by much. Link to comment

Sugar February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 I don't know why, but I find it very annoying when young actresses get up to the stage all breathless and rambling. I know they're probably nervous/excited, but you'd think they'd have more composure in this business. Editors sometimes have more poise! Anyway, I don't like Emma Stone, and I'm probably alone in that opinion, so I'll see myself out! 2 Link to comment
KaveDweller February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 I didn't see the other performances, but am still surprised Emma won this. She was great in La La Land, but it didn't seem like a hard enough performance to get an Oscar, if you know what I mean. 6 Link to comment
