I think Andy loves nothing more than seeing one of his Bravo-lebrities....mostly women, make asses of themselves.   The pattern is always the same--you build them up, then set them up to knock themselves down.   It might be over men, over money, over jail...but few housewives make it off the shows without being humiliated at some point.

Yes, it does seem like everyone (or at least many) reality stars end up ruined after reality tv. Imagine if say Tamra were to lose her gig on Bravo then all of her money then have to get a regular job. Would anyone take her seriously and hire her? Im thinking not. Marriages seem too to crumble after the fame gets to these people's heads. Even the most solid seeming ones. I'd rather be poor and still have my life intact then be a Bravolebity.

Well you never think that your integrity will be compromised. You think it is a great opportunity. But with every job you have to make accommodations and it can be a slippery slope. It is very hard for a normal person to "keep it real" when what they are looking for is over the top drama.

What is particularly interesting about these numbers is how precipitously the numbers for OC have slid for the last four years. They are barely hanging on. Wonder why?

This may be off topic for even the small talk thread but it's too good not to share--if you're a hulu plus subscriber hulu has come out with an original series called 'Hotwives of Orlando' which is a seven episode series which is a complete parody of all the housewives franchises. The ladies who came up with and wrote everything are avid housewives fans so they hit on tons of great stuff. Obvious spoofs are of Theresa, Lisa vanderpump , Gretchen Rossi, Alexis, Kim Richards, Phaedra although they borrow from others as well. If you love to hate the housewives I highly recommend it it's very funny!! (they have clips and some episodes on YouTube as well if you don't have hulu :) )

I cannot wait to get home from vacation and catch up! The only hotel carrying Bravo was in Bryan, Texas over a weekend and they seemed to be playing movies every time I tried.

I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised if Tamra made that up (what was supposedly said). I recall reading that she admitted to lying about Vicki & the random naked dude in Mexico during the season 7?8? reunion. I also wouldn't be surprised if Tamra was the "source" here too.

I think much like Brandi and her self-anointed "Truth Cannon" Tamra likes to think of herself as the gatherer of others' truths and then blasts them with it and then steps away from the fray.  I was happy to see Vicki distance herself from Tamra.  There are only so many episodes of diarrhea of the mouth one can stand by and be a victim of before you one walks away.

I think Lizzie is a lying liar who lies about being intelligent and successful.   Tamra obviously manipulates things for drama, and succeeds.   Tamra lies, Lizzie lies, but Tamra brings the drama.

 

Lizzie boredom needs to stay home and potty train her kid and stop bitching about how her husband, who is always shown holding them,  never helps.   No wonder the poor guy doesn't have time to comb his hair.

 

If you want to bring the Honey Badger down, you better have a deeper bag of tricks than Gizzard has.

Simon doesn't work for Bravo but he did create a website and has posted here. I think that is one of or maybe his only job. Alex has her "The Real Deal" webisodes that also appear on youtube. So I guess you could say Bravo still provides them with some kind a way to make a living.

I don't know about BH, but check out RH of Melbourne.  It's been pretty entertaining too.  (Not as good as OC though, IMO)

Ah, that explains it! I will have to record it. I wonder why they have it on during the day? Maybe the failure of Ladies of London made them think we wouldn't watch? Well, I actually loved Ladies of London,so i will definitely give this a shot.
