Darn.    Always checking in to see if  Kaitlyn and Shawn have crashed and burned yet.  My money is on that they won't make it past Thanksgiving..  even a bit before.  3 months is often a make/break time period in relationships.  

 

I don't like Josh.  And not that I was a big Andi fan..I wasn't.  The whole family turned me off.  They seemed very closed-off to outsiders.  Can't quite describe it.  So wrapped up in their kids' sports careers.  As if a relationship or newcomer would be a distraction to their hard-core family obsession     It's been awhile since I saw that ep. but that's the impression I'm left with.

Not exactly - Andi and Josh were pretty much living together soon after the season wrapped, since they were both from Atlanta. Hell Josh and Andi celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas together, with their families, if you believed their social media and they were over barely two weeks into the new year.

Shawn and Kaitlyn are the only TB couple I truly cannot stand. Two immature, conceited, obnoxious, and imo very unlikable people. (Yes, no mincing words--can't stand them!)  Mean as it may be, I expect a breakup before the end of the year--and that afterwards they will both rudely trash each other to the media in the hope of extending their "fame" a little longer.

While it does have a website, it is a "club" in name only. There is no president, officers, board of directors, and the only membership requirement is to have sex on an airplane, after which individuals can proclaim themselves members, no proof required. It is not exactly a classy thing to put on your job resumé, unless one is working in pornos. And I hesitate to call anyone who has sex on an airplane "blessed" in any way. I actually find it offensive, as are the people who brag about belonging to this fakety fake "club."

Wonder what went through Shawn's mind when he was at the Janner wedding. Probably something like "damn should have been like Tanner and just stuck around long enough for a BiP invite".

I read her boyfriend's post on Instagram and rolled my eyes to the back of my head:

First of all I can't stand people who don't know the difference between "loose" and "lose". Secondly the whole "She'll lose the ring anyway so I invented a baby miracle in her tummy" is an excuse and everyone (including Jillian) knows it. I'm no prude but if a couple decides to have a baby before marriage, fine, but don't make an excuse for why you're not getting married, especially one as stupid as "She'll LOOSE the ring".

Since this is about social media, I assume my post belongs here. I was on Facebook and apparently somebody from their Bachelorette page posted about JoJo being the Bachelorette before the Bachelor finale aired on the West Coast. Lots of pissed off comments from pissed off viewers!

This sort of stuff annoys me to no end. Does that person expect the world to stop until she has time to sit and watch the show? Anybody on the west coast knows if you want to remain unspoiled, you don't go on the internet until after the show airs in your timezone because everyone from the earlier zones will be talking about what happened.

^^^ Exactly.  The days of hashing things out the next day at work are O.V.E.R.  As soon as people started Tweeting and Instagramming along with a show, the expectation of secrecy was gone.  There is no corner of social media that's safe from constant updates.  You either go radio silent, or you just have to deal with it coming out somewhere.  Whiners.

On Monday night virtually every Bachelor personality's Instagram feed had dozens of "OMG SPOILERS. UNFOLLOWING!" comments. And dozens more people telling them they were idiots for going on social media before 8 PM Pacific. Those comments warmed my heart.

Me either. Although now that they have done it I expect there might be some backlash in the future. If they have a contestant they don't particularly like for reasons we the viewer don't see, but that contestant is wanted by the public it could cause a conflict. Or even more pissed off viewers if their favorite is F2 but doesn't get picked. Where before the viewer would say, " I really want so and so but there's no way they'll be picked because they was F2" now it'll be, " they've did it before they can do it again". I do think it will make it more exciting for us viewers though because now we'll get to wonder which of the top 4 they'll pick instead of top 3.

Usually TBette starts filming her intro package (out and about in public) before the finale, and that gets picked up on social media. If people see F2 filming, they'll know she lost. I suspect they'll skip that for JoJo or shoot it after the fact.

I think Show was crazy to not have used F2 in the past--it really limited the options. No one believes F2 is really heartbroken as a rule (sometimes, maybe, but seriously, now?) any more than we believe F1 will be married and live happily ever after, as a rule, so it's not like the magic of the show needs to be maintained. And the whole show has been filmed before we see episode 1, so there is plenty of time for editing it into a fake drama. Needing to start filming promos is a bogus excuse imo.

 

My dream show is that each episode gets edited and aired within two weeks of filming, so NO ONE knows who will be F1. It would be so much more fun to watch, and  would also mean no spoilers about F1 before the first episode is even aired, if Show even cares about that anymore.

They shot JoJo's "intro" package on the fly, this past weekend.   

 

Traditionally, the ATFR show was when the dumped #2 girl got to get her confrontation going and get answers from the Bachelor.  It made sense that the woman having an intense, emotional exchange with the person that lied to her, misled her, then dumped her has got to be difficult.  But THEN to say 20 minutes later  "BUT, now I'm awesome and going to be kissing 25 new guys in about 3 days!"  They did it the same way for 7 seasons, so them changing it this season was unusual. 

 

But now they have removed that obstacle, so I imagine that in future seasons, the eligibles will be anybody in the top 5 that's not the winner.

Congratulations to Des and Chris. They're having a baby. I think that is the only couple from this franchise I have legitimately really rooted for. They got so much crap after the season with all the Brooks stuff and I just always felt they seemed like two genuinely nice people, a rarity for this mess of a show. So I'm thrilled for them.

Yay for Chris and Des. Their proposal is my favorite and was the most genuine proposal on the show. The reason why they work together is because they are both nice and non fame hungry people.
