I am not Jewish, and I learned about tattoos being verboten from an episode of "The Nanny" with Fran Dresher.

Haven’t watched. But my take is Kathy is going to be real pissed how Kyle set her up with Lips McGee. 

Came over to apologize. Was also going to apologize to Rinna. “Oh - she’s coming over”. 

None of us know exactly what Kathy said to PTSD Lips. I’m assuming it was a pretty good rant. Like most of us - you should see me when I get going. I used to be so nice when I was younger too. Sometimes I ask myself what happened.😈

I think Kyle is a Jew like Sutton is a vegetarian ... they self-identify that way, but they are not strictly observant. I have no problem with that in either case, but maybe Diana will object to Kyle getting a tattoo the way she objected to Sutton eating bacon.

I agree - Kyle self-identifies & is not strictly observant.  Very common. 

As for Diana, she really had it in for Sutton & looked for whatever she could pick on - if it wasn't Sutton's bacon, it'd be something else.  I'd think Diana would overlook any of Kyle's inconsistencies - but then, I REALLY hope Diana's no longer around after the reunion (and alternatively, if Rinna is still around, I won't be) - so it's not a future issue.

I may be reading it wrong, but if I am right this would be consistent with my impression of Dorit as someone who likes to pile on to Sutton to ingratiate herself with the mean girls.

Buy she did convert, didn't she? I think it's a bit different. Plenty of people are Jewish and not religious at all. In Kyle's case, she's not Jewish by birth so it's not the same, but it seems she did go through an actual conversion process and her kids are being raised Jewish, so it's not just a case of her calling herself Jewish. But she also said she'd been talking about the tattoos for a while so either the family didn't see this as a rule they needed to follow or Mauricio didn't know the rule either, which seems unlikely. She's presumably about as observant as her husband.

Fairly boring pt 2 IMO.  The biggest surprise was Rinna being the one who tossed Garcelle’s book in the trash.  And even that…meh.  Of course Erika took the brunt of the heat for it.  Payback for all the babysitting and ass kissing Rinna did for Erika.

Rinna is a terrible actress and just all around awful human being.  She has been despicable for years, long before Lois shuffled off this mortal coil, sprouted wings and flew south with all the other birds.  

I don’t get why Kyle inserts herself in the Sutton-Crystal brouhaha (from a YEAR AGO).  Unless it’s all because she can’t fathom two adults calmly and truthfully hashing out a disagreement, both on and off screen, and have made amends.  That two grown women can argue and come out the other side as friendly acquaintances is such a foreign concept to Kyle apparently? And I guess that goes for Rinna, Erika, Dorit and Diana too.  I don’t think any of the Fox Force Fools have many real girlfriends, besides their cast mates.  That makes Crystal, Sutton, Garcelle and Kathy seem like alien beings in their eyes I suppose.

Erika’s dress and her lopsided boobs look even more preposterous this go round.  Did she put on weight between Pt 1 and Pt 2?  I also noticed the overuse of bronzer on Erika, Rinna, Dorit and Kyle.  Yikes!  Remember when Luann on RHONY got (well deserved) blow back for wearing blackface as Diana Ross for Halloween?  These Beverly Hills crones were walking a razor thin line over that territory.

We are going into the last episode of the reunion and I feel as though there are a lot of issues that have not been covered.  Erika’s drunken behavior and rants.  All kinds of things from Aspen.  Erika owes Sutton an apology for laughing at the C word comment and calling her a liability. 
 
I’m really starting to dislike Dorit.  Just because some of the women don’t like LVP does that mean Garcelle should follow suit?  No, certainly not!

I know that Dorit is the stupidest, Erika is the worst person, and Rinna is maybe the most calculating (???????), But I hate hate hate hate hate hate Kyle.  I hate this person.  I hate this horrible person.  She was so fucking defensive when being called out for abusing Sutton.  Her "apology" was the most insincere thing I have ever heard.  It was so quick and just to shut everyone up.  She refused to take ANY accountability.  I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate this person.

And honestly, I kind of believe Rinna about Kathy.  I know that Kathy is held up as a saint, but I just don't buy it.

And I know that people love Garcelle too, but for her to say that Sutton makes things about herself in that moment was so shady and unnecessary.  The really sad thing is I always liked Garcelle as a beauty and and an actor before this show.  As a person I just cannot get behind her.

Erika/Dorit defending Diana was so horrible.  Dorit is so transparent in everything she does and she is just so fucking stupid.

I think she takes some traditions & celebrations seriously - we've seen that on the show.  But I have no idea how seriously she takes the actual practice of the religion.  Perfectly okay.  She's clearly is focused on the party aspect of Farrah's wedding as with Portia's bat mitzvah.

Her reasons for converting (whether to appease Mo or Mo's family, or was attracted to the religion, or wanted to raise kids with Mo as Jewish, or whatever) are her own - and her strictness or laxity as to religion or traditions, once converted, also her's to decide.  By saying she self-identifies, I didn't mean she pulled the identity out of the air - just that she converted & she continues to identify as Jewish. 

Once converted, I don't see any difference between her or one born into the faith - each person chooses how observant they want to be - or even if they want to identify as Jewish.  (Some do, some don't, some say they are agnostic, some say they are not observant, there's wide variety.) She identifies as Jewish but decided the tattoo prohibition was not one she wanted to follow.  Frankly, no one is born knowing the restrictions & rules - if it wasn't raised when she converted, she didn't see The Nanny or catch it on TV, or Mo or Mo's family or her friends never mentioned it or didn't know, who knows what she knew?  Fact is, she did it.
