Wouldn't a golddigger be more excited at the prospect of the man having the money from the sale, than the actual house?  Somebody like a ...... user or a freeloader would be more interested in the house.  Anyways, semantics I guess.  Maybe I'm just comparing two of the same type of thing.

I had the same thought about the house.  That's Sonja, gold digger/ user/ freeloader two sides of the same coin. I guess because she knows she'll never marry him but would with a quickness stay at his house for a week or so if she was in the south of France. As well as brag to everyone she knows about the house maybe even pretend she is thinking of buying it..  His money does  nothing for her but if she befriends him, she'd  have access.

I am confused why Sonja, Ramona and Luann dressed like they were going to a nightclub. And what was that tail coming off the back of Sonja's dress?  If this were a regular Friday night dinner at a friends house would they dress this way?  I don't think the three stooges   have a clue what a Shabbat dinner is . Please God lets hope Sonja doesn't climb on the table before the night is over.

Only the married ones have to cover their hair, my question is what will Leah do about casual sex?  Will she be able to give that up along with traif?

If she actually maintains any part of Judaism I will be amazed.

Next season she might be exploring Zen Buddhism, Druidism and Mormonism, lol.

Yes…you are correct about head covering for married women only. I should have specified that.

A regular Shabbat dinner would be toned way down. Nice clothing but nothing fancy or blingy…especially if it’s an Orthodox observance of Shabbat. They all looked like escorts.

I thought so too but then the hostess was also wearing a silver sparkly dress so what do I know?   I used to think Lu had the best clothes but then I realized she just has the best body so almost anything looks good on her because she's sported some doozies, especially this year.  But I've yet to see a fashion mistake on Eboni.  The woman knows how to dress.

I was hoping someone would turn the phone face down. And mute it first. OK maybe not the muting part, as that would have been really entertaining to hear narcissist Leah freak out that she could no longer see, or more importantly be seen.

I had to laugh at realtor Ramona carrying her purse around as she showed the apartment. She looked like she was a neighbour who just happened to stop by and decided to give her opinion. If Ramona ever does get her license, I would love to see her on MDLNY. She would be much more entertaining that former howive Kelly has been when she has appeared on the show.

When Leah was sitting on her couch with the older man who was complaining that a private high school costs as much as college, I at first thought it was Leah's father. Then I realized it was Rob. He has really aged. But then I would imagine every year that he has spent with Leah has aged him two. Minimum.

Ramona is very colorful, quirky and friendly.  She will do well as a realtor.  People like that, like Fredrick.  Fredrick is also funny and friendly.

True story now.  My Cousin hardly called me as her husband retired and was home all the time.  I understood that.  She was busy with him.  He died suddenly of a stroke seven months ago.  I listened to her everyday even tho I have a husband and adult Son at home.  After awhile of hearing her whine about him everyday, my blood pressure rose.  I told her to please stop as I couldn’t listen anymore as I was busy with my family and to cut it down.  She still called everyday.  I was pulling my hair out from hearing the same story day after day.  It got on my nerves.  Some people don’t know when to stop.  Ramona has been listening to Ebony for weeks now about the same thing and has had it.   No one can take sides until it happens to them.  Ebony became a broken record.  If it was reverse, Ebony would get annoyed too.  No one can judge until they walk in others shoes.

Not if that showing was any indication or most of her interactions in life. She always needs to be the center of attention and has no filter or graciousness. It was so awkward seeing her interact with the client and I literally can’t imagine her taking his jacket or catering to the client like the other realtor did or Fredrick does.

Berlin is a perfectly fine small town in Connecticut, not upscale but far from backwoods.  Considering the sparkle, my guess would be that she possibly made some kind of a deal with Jovani to provide her clothing for the show because her fashions have gone from tailored to Christmas tree decoration.  Someone needs to tell her all the world is in fact not a stage.

Is she really doing her conversion through an Orthodox Rabbi? I converted 40 years ago and it was done through a Conservative Rabbi...it is very hard to find an Orthodox Rabbi to do such a conversion...they generally do not want to do conversions. Frankly, I find her "conversion" to be a tad half hearted. What changes has she made to her life other than singing a prayer and reading transliterated passages from the Torah? If she is indeed going to be an Orthodox Jew then why is she wearing clothing in her interviews that reveal her breasts? Orthodox women cover their heads and dress modestly. Is she going to Shabbat services in an Orthodox temple? Women are separated from the men in an Orthodox temple. Is she keeping Kosher at home? That is required in an Orthodox home. I highly doubt that Leah would be able to maintain an Orthodox lifestyle and I daresay there would be little to no gestures of friendship offered to her from the women in an Orthodox congregation. She's a phony and honestly, I think she came up with this Jewish "conversion" thing as a storyline for this season. If she goes to the Mikvah as part of her final acceptance into Judiasm, then I will take her seriously. I went to the Mikvah, with my two year old son at the time, for the final ritual for conversion...an Orthodox woman ran the Mikvah and over saw the ceremony.

She will do it if it gets her airtime.  It is my understanding that you are not to have tattoos either.  Everything about her is the opposite of what she is aspiring to be.

Well Eboni’s dress on this episode was too tight. It should have been a size or two larger because it creased in all the wrong spots. It was, however, the best dress at this event.

Ramona is awful, but I think she'd treat me the same way she treats staff, as if I'm below her because I don't run in her circles, don't have loads of money and can't do anything for her. I'd call her more ignorant without willingness to see, listen and learn. She's elitist, and extremely self-centered with a very narrow world view and definitely doesn't want to do any self-reflection or work to change any internal biases she has. So, while I'm not sure she's racist per se, yes! fuck her and her vile behavior, because she's unwilling to change it.

When I saw the host's dress, I wondered if she mentioned wearing sequins.  Otherwise I could not imagine choosing a sequin dress, especially with a slit to the crotch, for a Shabbat dinner.  I more and more think some of Luann's clothing choices, like Sonja's, are a reflection of having less money than previously.  Luann hasn't sharpied a purse yet, but she does seem to be wearing cabaret attire.

Napkingate brought back memories of Sonja waxing on about the glory of owning Morgan napkins which were also oversized.  Had she heard the conversation at the Shabbat dinner, I expected her to get teary-eyed about her Morgan glory days and how enormous napkins speak of old world elegance. She missed a critical opportunity to remind us that she is a Morgan.

If her parents were born Jewish, Ramona probably wouldn’t  even be here. I watched again this morning for the second time.  That whole Shebat dinner was staged against Ramona.  It was Leah that caused the whole commotion by constantly telling them on a cell phone no less to move the phone closer, higher, she couldn’t see the candles, she couldn’t hear what they were saying, she was fading out, etc., etc.  They all were attacking Ramona every which way, and it was very obvious.  I would have gotten up and left too.  Ebony was attacking Ramona, so was dear Sonja, the phony pretend friend.  Leah should have stayed home and not called in, but we all know she HAS to have the floor at all times even when she is not there.  She is the Number one sneaky, backstabbing person in the whole group and should be fired.  Leah desparatly wants that apple at all costs as the end is near and she’s pulling out all the stops.  Ramona is a veteran and knows all the ropes.

Leah was annoying, no question.   But whatever she did it didn’t cause Ramona to whine about how Jewish kids didn’t like her in college and she cried herself to sleep and wanted to be Jewish????  I didn’t believe a word of it…she thinks that equates with racism and anti semitism? So many, many unanswered questions in this episode!

Why does the Shabbat house woman keep her ceramics in oversized hampster cages?

What does this mean:  Sonja:  "Eboni and me are both introverts."  (Hmmmm...  I kinda don't think many INFPs end up on reality TV.)

I find Leah's breasts in her talking heads really distracting.  Like they're Barbie Doll breasts.  I mean—the top is cut low enough so you should see nipples.  But there aren't any nipples.  Does Leah have nipples?

What "important work" is Eboni doing here, Leah?  Besides grooming herself for the next Jewish hedge fund manager?

Not a big Ramona fan, but I suspect as the daughter of eastern European immigrants growing up in whiter-than-snow Rhinebeck (I live 10 miles away from Rhinebeck, so I know), she's had experience with feeling marginalized.

Also, Leah screeching, "It's not about white people—"  Huh!  I'm Jewish!  Didn't realize I wasn't white!  Not that I care much.  (I am Sephartic, so maybe I should have suspected....  😊)

And then there's Shabbat House Lady:  "I can go appologize for the Jews."  Are you kidding me?  😛😛😛😛😛😀😀😀😀😀😀Hilarious!

Added bonus points: 😊LUVVED😊  the smirks from the actual Black people at "Black Shabbat."  Who doesn't want to hear about Ramona's urinary habits?  I can't wait to find out how they respond next week to Sonja peeing in Shabbat House Lady's driveway!

All in all, one of the best episodes of RHONY in a very tired season.

Leah’s boobs have fascinated me each time.  She has a uni boob (basically a bad boob job where there’s not enough space between the boobs)…they talk about them all the time on Botched.  She needs to get that fixed.

From Leah’s ghastly face on the phone disrupting the dinner to Ramona and Sonja at their peak ugly behavior (they reminded me of Alex and Simon’s unruly kids at dinner in the 1st season) I couldn’t stop laughing. It was just too much. By the time, Sonja yelled “Let’s listen to the Blacks and Jews” I was dead.

No rabbi asks you to convert...actually it's the opposite. The rabbi that I did my conversion with had two meetings with me prior to agreeing to the conversion in which he grilled me on why I wanted to convert and wanted to make sure that I realize that being a Jew means you could suffer from bigotry and prejudice...and if there was ever another holocaust I could die for being a Jew. After that second serious talk, he let me think about all of that for a few weeks and then called me and asked if I had any misgivings about going through with conversion..I. said no and the process began. Rabbis don't go out and recruit converts.
