Popular Post whydoievencare February 15, 2021 Popular Post Share February 15, 2021 (edited) I rilly, rilly fill that Robyn's method of handling everyone is to cry all. the. time. It puts the attention on her (which she likes), it also removes any possible fault from her - so win-win. All the family seem to be in exactly the same place as when we last saw them - Christine and Kody aren't getting along, Janelle tries to deal with everyone in a logical fashion, Robyn cries, and Mary is withholding. Oh, and Kody thinks he's the only adult in the group. It's so bizarre, they seem to prefer the family dynamic from when they lived together, yet they don't really want to live together - and living on the cut-de-sac seemed to make some of the wives feel isolated. The ONE HOUSE idea is out, not sure how building and living in adjacent homes will end up being different than their Las Vegas home situation. Being content and happy just doesn't seem to be in the cards for them. Edited February 15, 2021 by whydoievencare 38 Link to comment

Maybe that's why he ignored you 😂 If someone was "conversating" AT me, I'd ignore them too. The majority of this family's financial problems were avoidable. With the money they're making from TLC, they shouldn't be having financial problems. Since none of them have real jobs, they should have been socking away this TLC money while they were getting it. If they planned things properly -- rather than making rash decisions, acting on them, and then being surprised that things don't always fall perfectly in place -- they could avoid situations where they're paying 5 mortgages and renting houses and renting trucks for weeks at a time. Then again, there wouldn't be much content for the show if they didn't have all these issues. And none of them (well, maybe Janelle a little bit) are willing to sacrifice having a mini-mansion for the sake of saving money. From a financial perspective, they're setting a horrible example for their children. And I was scratching my head at all the complaints about financial intermingling being complicated because Kody's involved in the finances of all the wives....aren't they supposed to be ONE family...? It's really hard to find someone to root for in this mess....other than the kids. Kody -- definitely the worst. Creates chaos and then sits back and complains.... about how chaotic his life is. His passive-aggressive behavior toward Meri is despicable. He was the real victim in the catfishing debacle, but the way he's acting now, I actually feel more sorry for Meri at this point It's clear he's punishing her (and appears to have no intention of stopping), and some may say she deserves it, but that's a pretty pathetic approach to take with your own marriage. Meri -- I have flashes of sympathy for her, but she's brought so much of this on herself that it's hard. My take on it is that Janelle and Christine were quite close in the Utah home and Meri felt like an outsider, so she brought in someone -- Robyn -- to be on her side, not realizing at the time how spectacularly it was going to backfire on her. And then to add the catfishing on top of it -- her name is mud in this family. It's nice that she has seemingly come around and supports Mariah and Audrey, but that didn't go so smoothly either in the beginning. I don't blame her for being reluctant to take a position on anything. She mostly looks defensive and withdrawn at every family event. Janelle -- Most of the time, she's my favorite as she seems to act more from reason than emotion....someone in this family needs to. But then she goes along with these crazy schemes to leave houses unsold and pick up and move without a "real" plan in place. Christine -- Usually I tend to like her as well. She wears her heart on her sleeve, but she's also willing to speak her mind. I think she's perhaps not a mental giant, but generally seems to be kind-hearted. Janelle's kids clearly bonded with her. I think she got royally screwed when she was having Truely because Kody seemed more interested in being with Robyn than with being with his wife who was in labor. Based on the previews at the end, Spoiler she apparently was one of the those people who was going to keep living her life, COVID be damned. If it turns out she's an anti-masker too, well I guess I won't be surprised. Robyn -- Married into this crazy mess, but seems quite happy to be perched on top of the wives' pecking order. She also wants to appear like a martyr.....she's sacrificing....she's trying to get along with everyone...but it's interesting how she generally seems to get her way (obviously she has some pull with Kody). Popular Post laurakaye February 15, 2021 Popular Post Share February 15, 2021 Spoiler Season 15, Episode One: Being Strong or Being a Bitch This recap will henceforth be subtitled, “Be Careful What You Wish For,” as I was sadly, depressingly super pumped to write the first recap of a new season and instead I was treated to the plyg version of the movie “My Dinner With Andre.” If watching five adults stare at each other in the dark back room of a Pizza Al Forno and talk about how miserable they are for what seemed to be approximately seven hours, well then! Pull up a chair, chug an espresso and let’s go! So previously on Sister Wives - a lifetime and a different world ago - we were treated to the perennial moving woes of the Browns, a situation that they 100% brought upon themselves. We see a flashback to Kody’s Barbie Dream House Christmas Eve presentation, his fancy whiteboard of pros and cons, and the fight for trees on Cah-O-Tah Pahhhhs. Also Maddie had a baby who is now a junior in college, so that’s old news. Moving on! Let’s get to something good! Unfortunately, this Is NOT it. We rehash the individual living situations of Kody’s wimminz. Meri and Janelle are renting their homes, Christine bought, and Robyn…..well, she still considers God her realtor and does not want to buy the house they are currently renting because that means that the dream of living together as one family will be delayed, and blah blah de blah. Is it too early in a new season to ask Robyn to shut the **** up? Various adults whine about how the wives all live 5 – 10 miles apart, and poor Kody is constantly driving and you guys, he’s just mentally exhausted. He is frustrated that his family is not connected. This is not what he envisioned when he forced his family to throw their crap into 15 moving vans and head blindly to Flagstaff with no plan, no money, and no brain. Poor, poor widdle Kody. Before I move on, I’d like to paint the pitcher of what these people look like in their latest couch interviews. The makeup on Janelle and Christine is insanely harsh, and they appear to both be wearing the same shade of dark purple eyeshadow which ages them 15 years, easily. Christine is thinner but the result is that her face, unfortunately, looks to be about 90 years old. The growth on Janelle’s lip is huge and it’s truly all I can see when she talks. Meri looks like she’s gained about 40 pounds but then I remember that we’ve only seen “filtered Meri” for the past several months and now we’ve got the rill thing with her linebacker shoulders, burnt umber foundation and crunchy hair all firmly in place. Robyn’s neck looks abnormally lumpy and her nose and chin are both growing exponentially. And if a bowl of Ramen noodles and a Chia Pet mated, Kody’s hair would be the result. They honestly look rough, all five of them. Now we see Kody trying to back a U-Haul into Robyn’s driveway (snerk). Kody interviews that he’s had these trucks parked on Coyote Pass for weeks, and here’s the thing – he’s had to pay for them! He seems truly befuddled that if you rent a moving truck, you have to pay for it daily even if you don’t actually move the stuff from truck to house! Of course the reason that he couldn’t unload the trucks was because Robyn didn’t want to move their stuff into the rental because she’d only have to move it back out when they moved again into another rental because…..I dozed off here, I just cannot with these two brainiacs and Robyn’s constant bitching about how she refuses to buy a house. She and Kody interview from inside the U-Haul and talk over each other for like five minutes about their housing situation, and how financing is so difficult for them because Kody’s name is on the housing paperwork of three other women. He says that if (when) they move again, he’s only going to put his name on one wife’s paperwork and the rest can basically bugger off. Now we get Janelle (and Bob, the McNugget-Sized Lip Growth) interviewing that she is tired of the drama and nonsense and the family division so she calls a lunch meeting with the adults to talk about all of it. I found it very interesting that Janelle – previously nothing more than a sullen, checked-out lump on the couch – is suddenly all Go Team Go on the family’s dynamics and wants to get to the bottom of why they all hate each other so much. Janelle leads this very awkward and uncomfortable meeting and has more to say at this meeting than the previous 14 seasons put together. She starts by asking the wives why they each entered into the Principal. Robyn helpfully explains to us morons that when they talk about “principal,” they mean “polygamy.” Seriously, just shut up, Robyn. Meri says that she was raised in it. Christine says that she grew up thinking sister wives were normal. Robyn says that she liked the Brown family when they were all living in Lehi and wanted a piece of that action. Kody randomly bloviates that he no longer wants to be an advocate for polygamy because all his wives are pining for his love – which A. makes no sense whatsoever, and B. makes it all about Kody, because of course. He goes on to ask his wives if they married him for love or just because their religion told them to? And to make this worse, he admits that if he could do it all over he wouldn’t live polygamy. The wives all sit there, stunned. Janelle references a conversation that she and Meri had about this very topic and asks Meri to speak up – now, please, beyotch. Meri is all, “what conversation? I recall no such conversation.” Several times, Janelle asks Meri to talk, for heaven’s sake. Say something! Meri continues to feign ignorance of this mysterious chat and then Robyn – get ready, here it comes – assumes that SHE is the reason for the division in the family and begins the first of many, many of her patented, copyrighted “dry cries.” While I occupy myself with rolling my eyes so hard I can hear it, Janelle gets up from her seat and comes around to hug Robyn, cooing “no, no, nooooo…no nonono.” It’s such a simpering display of placation from Janelle to Robyn that it makes me physically uncomfortable. The other wives, even Meri, join in and tell Robyn that things got harder because they’d gone public and moved from Lehi, and it just coincided with her joining the fam’ly. I am just so grossed out by these three women patting Robyn on the head and saying, “there, there, don’t cry, we lurve you sooooo much, none of this is your fault” as Robyn expertly dabs away tears that do not exist, and Kody watches all of this, wondering who all these extra women are and when he can go home for a nap. Don’t worry, y’all, this lunch from hell is nearly over. Christine offers some actual true insight into just how little time Kody actually spends with any wife not named Robyn. Christine tells the table that Kody only stops over once or twice a week, always in the evening, disrupts her routine, then parks his keister somewhere and plays on his phone. Kody admits to doing exactly that in an attempt to “not engage the angst.” In other words, in typical Kody Brown fashion, he only drops by to see his kids and play his favorite game, “What’s Your Name Again?” Talking to Christine is not on the agenda, as he’s not interested in her complaints and gripes. Christine admits to still filling jealous, and since she’s looking at Robyn when she says this, it’s another cue for Robyn to turn on the faux water-works again. Kody tries to interject and Robyn shuts him down because she’s not done crying yet. Throughout this whole bizarre and pointless exchange, Janelle looks utterly confused and Meri literally hasn’t spoken. Or blinked. Or moved. Or breathed. After the most riveting lunch scene ever seen on reality television, we see Kody, back at his prison house with Robyn, take a call from his realtor to tell him that the financing has gone through and the house is theirs. Robyn is reluctantly pleased, as if this wasn’t her plan all along. Kody tells the kids that they own the house in an effort to get them all onto his side so Robyn will have no choice but to be happy. Oh, Kody. You have no idea the dark and evil forces you are playing against, you clueless twit. In the (merciful) final scene, Maddie and Caleb stop over with Axelbrush and Evagalalaline. Everyone gets in the baby’s face and breathes their cooties on her, and we hear the “grandma” designation names assigned to each wife. I won’t bore you with those because I am basically asleep right this moment as I put the finishing touches on this borefest of an episode. This will teach me to raise my hand in class again!! They're baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack................ 32 28 Link to comment

It locked more promptly than I expected. Is it automatic? I was in the middle of editing my last post for typos when it closed. I promise I do know how to spell; I just couldn't correct the errors in time. I have no idea how much longer Lularoe will survive, but Meri seems high enough up to maybe survive the crash and support herself. Not sure if Christine is that far up the food chain, but I am sure she won't starve if she moves to St George. I think Janelle, Kody, and Robyn really need the show to go on, although Janelle might do okay living in an rv with Savannah if she drives it to wherever her adult kids are. Maybe they can sell the Prairie Dog land for enough profit to give everyone a little "seed" money to start over. I fail to see how Kody can support Robyn in the style which he has given her without this show. One of Robyn's daughters seemed ecstatic that they bought that mansionette; I can see her hating Kody if they have to move. They need to be honest that the hot love affair between Kody and Robyn really messed up their family "culture' even more than the move to Vegas. 13 Link to comment

I was surprised how negative they sounded about how things were in Las Vegas. Let's see if I have this straight: Things were the best when they lived together in Lehi because they were forced to work out their shit but, except for Janelle, the wives refuse to live in the same house again. The family dynamic was ruined when they lived in separate houses next door to each other in LV, so they moved to Flagstaff where they knew they would have to live distant from each other for at least a year until they could build houses next door to each other. They really just seem to love wallowing in their misery. One thing they don't talk about that changed at the same time they moved to LV is that they started being on TV. I wonder how much that is contributing to their misery. Janelle said she felt isolated and lonely in LV. When they were living in Lehi she worked and seemed to enjoy it. I think she needs structure so would be happier in a 9 to 5 job that forced her to get off the couch and out in the world every day rather than her current "job" of filming just a few weeks a year. 18 Link to comment
Mahamid Frauded Me February 15, 2021 Share February 15, 2021 I didn't realize how big Janelle's mcnugget was until last night. It was pretty clear to me that Kody has checked out of pretty much all of the relationships except for queen Robyn. Janelle accepts it and she has no issues with it, Christine is livid that she never gets any time with her handsome mahn, Meri looked bloated and Robyn of course just cries, which is her way of always getting what she wants 24 Link to comment

He should just throw in the towel already. But since his hair (such as it is) apparently has its own plot line, I guess they can't. Kody's late brother was bald and he looked good! Popular Post BravoAddict72 February 15, 2021 Popular Post Share February 15, 2021 I cannot stand Robyn. Personally, I think she ruined the family. This may sound selfish, but if I was Meri I wouldn't have divorced Kody so he could legally marry Robyn. Robyn could go kick rocks as far as I am concerened. I don't care that her kids would have had to go to their actual father id something happened to her. 30 Link to comment

It just wouldn't look as good for his image, such as it is. 15 Link to comment
