Well....episode 4 sucked. I think after I find out why Hannah got cut I am just going to stop watching. It's just so frustrating seeing girls that struggle all the time make the team and girls that make one mistake get cut for BS reasons. After seeing Kat struggle like that it is clear that she should have been cut, same thing with Alora-Rose. Like I predicted, Kelly was cut for BS reasons, yes she made mistakes, but not as much as Alora-Rose imo. I was going to post my more in depth thoughts but there are a lot of curse words in it, so I'll just leave it at that.

I was okay with Kat last year ~ this year not.at.all. She should have been cut. She and Meredith were the worse veterans out there. She's so full of herself. Not cute or mature at all. JMHO.

They thought Sheridan looked bad.  Am I watching the same girl as them?  She out shined everyone she looked amazing.  I loved how she did that dance and when they pulled away and showed the whole group, she stuck out in a good way more than anyone.  She knew it was her last night, it was heartbreaking to watch.  They purposely showed Hannah to look bad, cellulite and her walk was weird.  I have liked Ellie and the way she dances from the very first episode.  I can't believe they took Annabel to TC.  Tori was great she never makes mistakes.   I predict she makes the team next year.

A couple of thoughts after watching the show:

I'm verrrrry interested to see Hannah's office visit next week. We know she doesn't get cut until the end of training camp, so what BS do they feed to her in this meeting? Dance stuff? Weight? Paleness? I wonder if Hannah suspected she might get cut after this office visit just based on the crap they tell her.

Kat should've been cut. In both episodes now she's been called out for mistakes. She's a vet, that cannot happen.

Meredith's cut is completely justified. She messed up that dance hardcore and based on the preview for next week she's still a crybaby. Also, I found it interesting that her awesome "edge" shots were of her in 2018, when she didn't even make it into TC. I just see that as further proof that she only made it based on looks, because even the judges didn't like her enough that year.

I, for one, like that Hannah isn't super tanned like everyone else. You need a mixture of looks on the team. Sure, she's not as universally stunning as others are but I thought the team was about having the whole package. She's beautiful, an incredible dancer and has an interesting story to tell.

I imagine the bubble might've been hard for her with her issues with anxiety and depression but she still went on the basis that they were taking all precautions. When she got there, she voiced her concern about the lack of protocols people were adhering too and gets kicked to the curb. I can't imagine she spoke out just to protect herself; she seems to care about everyone's health.

Just because she's not your typical extroverted, super bubbly type of cheerleader, she gets that held against her. She's got a voice and an opinion (which I love) but obviously doesn't align with the Jones' opinions. 

She's been one of my faves since her rookie season because of all of this. She's come back year on year and improved herself, taken more classes on her own and become one of the most versatile dancers they've ever had. Shame on you Kelli and CMT for spinning her story into the way you want.

I wish there was an episode thread, but since not I'll post here. Just can't get them confused when I go back! Random thoughts:

Sydney makes weird faces.

Doesn't make sense to equate Hannah's being pale to not wanting to be there. Plus, they were told to ignore fixable cosmetic issues this year. 

I'd love to see more Dani. Didn't realize how tall she was. 

On the tall note, interesting commentary on Jada. 

Still hoping we will eventually see more Claire. Interesting look, but I love her.

Who is the manly woman walking them out?

They had to play the overused "Someone You Loved" during cuts. I hate that song because the teens play it over and over on TikTok in our house! Also, dumb fit for the show, like the Post Malone song.

I'm a terrible person, but if I were Annabelle I would try to contour that bulb on the end of my nose. 

I'm sure I'll think of more. 

Oh, Kat should be cut.

Did we know that Rachel A had COVID weeks ago? I didn’t but that doesn’t mean you all didn’t! Her Instagram says 6 weeks later and still no sense of smell. Had you all flagged that she missed any games? Or maybe with away games, etc. she didn’t miss any.

A pandemic which is making a lot of people depressed. Now we're talking about someone with a HISTORY of depression. I'd encourage her to continue talking to her therapist/psychiatrist, not say & do things that would make her feel worse!

All of this right here!!! My thoughts... i'm more infuriated over Hannah being cut than ever. Giving Kat a pass bc they like her look is complete and utter bs, girlfriend was outdanced but oopsie look at me i'm so pretty and clueless. Its not her fault she gets by on her looks its TPTB for shoving her down our throats. I am not charmed by her, never have been. You would think they want their "World Class" ambassadors to be strong, smart ladies not girls who think its cute to constantly make mistakes and act dumb... 

As for Meredith, all I can say is bless her heart. She is one I feel bad for bc she is likable & smart but she just cannot keep up. She lived her dream time to move on... 

As for Hannah looking pale and sad, ummmm WHAT? She's a natural redhead if she were tanning you'd say she looked muddy. This whole scene is too much. How do you tear into someone who may be struggling mentally? How is that a world class thing to do? Why not speak to her to see if she's doing okay or does she need some help? I don't know if i'm going to make it through this season. How do you keep someone like KAT over Hannah? Last I knew this was a dance team not a barbie wannabe team...

If you watch from 1:05-1:09, they show Hannah standing next to Kat, maybe that was to make her look less attractive by comparison because Kat obviously looked great as always, nonetheless, I hope she finds a new job, and is treated better.

unpopular opinion...........Hannah did look washed out which is probably little make up.  She always looks fresher on some of her own pictures than her DCC which I always felt her makeup for DCC needed to do the opposite of contouring to make her look softer.  However, I did think she looked different and since I never remember her looking tanned it is probably make up.  After first being really upset over her cut, I still think attitude in a professional setting can get anyone fired.  if she was so concerned, she should have skipped this year.  I make choices to not do things to be safe and have given up many social and professional opportunities because of my concern.

Kat,,,if she wasn't so pretty I am sure she would be gone.  I would have cut her for how she looked on the field.  In fact I would have let Kat and Meredith go on that episode with the rookies.

I didn't see enough of Brennan to make an opinion.  I believe Lily they showed good points and bad and I always thought she would get cut this year.  Her and Meredith were the top of possible cuts.

Brianna looks tired.  I hope she makes the decision to move on this year

As to the comments on Sydney's body......she looks great to me.  completely flat stomach.  maybe a little more rear end but she looks good.  Now some of the other rookies need cookies and hamburgers.  In the words of my man, some like Jada look like little girls.

And I too wonder has Rachel A missed a game.  Is that why she now lives with her sister not Alexis and Maddie because she got Covid?  First mention of Covid was just now but she states it's 6 weeks later.  Hope she gets her smell back I love her.

Last I love Rachel W as point and hope she stays so she can be on the field as point next year.

I saw that on Insta last night!  I had no idea she'd had COVID.

 

Interestingly, someone else I know posted something similar yesterday.  Six weeks post-COVID and they had no sense of taste/smell.  Also the first I'd heard of them having COVID and based on the amount of traveling/socializing they were doing in the previous six weeks, I never would have guessed it.  People, this is why our positivity rates are still so high!!!!

One word: Cop-out. They need to justify why they cut her to the public that doesn't follow/know about this board since we don't drink the DCC Kool-aid. They lost me last season with Veruca and I won't watch again until she is G-O-N-E!

They did the same thing to Tara. Instead of offering support, she just got cut. 
They also cut Jalyn from show group last year then told her she had a chance again this year and didn’t take her back on. She should retire after this year because they’ve clearly blacklisted her.

It can take up to eight weeks for olfactory nerves to regenerate. I took all the precautions and still got COVID. Luckily for me, my sense of taste and smell came back two weeks later, and the rest of the symptoms were very mild.

Interesting how they are trying to claim certain cut vets look unhappy, tired, not-recovered from Covid, and showed Sydney almost passing out, but not surprisingly edited out the day Savannah had a “panic attack” due to being stressed about not knowing dances and went back to her room and didn’t dance. Why is it ok that Kat and Maddie continually make mistakes in these clips, but they want us to believe that Hannahs paleness should be considered as a viable reason she is on the radar. Why is it ok that certain dancers get passes? Don’t answer that, I already know the answer.  I said from the start that the editing would be out of control this year but they are taking it to a level that is even egregious for them.

Generally agree except everything is different this year. First, DCC heavily promotes the idea of a sisterhood -not just a profession. They can't have it both ways especially in the middle of a global disaster.Which are they?   Hannah's family is in healthcare and she rightly was concerned. She was not just worried about her own health but rather for the health of the public. Remember this was all filmed when the south was surging. She likely questioned why they needed training camp at all this year. Yes, she chose to go because she wanted to keep something thats been special for her. It's okay to go but still feel conflicted about whether or not it was correct.  If expressing her concerns is what gets her fired - I am actually fine with that-  I just wish they would admit it. If it was truly because she appeared pale, and depressed and anxious then they had the responsibility to be just a touch more empathetic-- especially in the midst of pandemic.

Hannah went into training camp on false pretenses that it would be safe and probably when she was inside that wasn't the case. She did the smart thing by staying because if she knew she was probably in an environment that would cause her to have Covid, it's better to stay in that place and not go home and be a super-spreader. this isn't a case of having a terrible job you can give your one day notice and leave, it's a virus that can effect everybody. You are allowed to have criticism's at your job, I have had those problems at work and have voiced my view and I wasn't chastised for it. Be mindful when you watch Hannah's visit to Kelli's office, the producers can cut parts of conversations out and add audio that wasn't said there, have a second face of Hannah's that fits their "unhappy" narrative and make it seem like it was the biggest issue.

Exactly this and they have scenes when they do that circle spotlight and dim the rest out when they showed Annabelle and I noticed Marissa messing up as well. I saw some Maddie messing up in one cut but no one said anything.

Wish I could love this a thousand times. Hannah is not a bad person and looking at old seasons and clips she never had a bad attitude, especially after she got cut she continues to dance and looks amazing. If a cloud of hate comes to Hannah from this horrible editing to fit Kelli's narrative I will be so pissed.

100% looked pale and washed out. Those big stadium lights almost require a little bit of a tan. 

That being said.. they should have said "Hey Hannah, rub some self tanner on tonight" Her pale body is IN NO WAY an excuse to cut her. She is a fabulous dancer.

So I haven't been watching the full episodes because I don't have the energy to find it for free and I refuse to pay for it this year, but from the youtube clips I have some thoughts about the TCC:

-How the heck does Ashlinn not make the team? They are constantly fawning over her and saying how great she is, she must have really bombed media day or something, especially when she could have easily replaced Alora-Rose or Jessica.

-I'm a little confused at how Claire W made show group over Elli and Armani. I do get why Marissa got SG, she is really one of the more powerful TCC whether or not you like her face/personality. However, Elli and Armani are far more praised over Claire, and Armani was the only rookie used in the Christmas video. I get that Claire is really technical but the others are a lot better at DCC style. Or maybe they wanted a redhead on SG and because they cut Hannah they needed Claire?

Chandi, Erin, Claire, and Marissa were the new show group girls but I would have replaced Erin with Armani for sure (and probably removed Rachel A for Elli).

As for Hannah looking pale and sad, ummmm WHAT? She's a natural redhead if she were tanning you'd say she looked muddy. This whole scene is too much. How do you tear into someone who may be struggling mentally? How is that a world class thing to do? Why not speak to her to see if she's doing okay or does she need some help? I don't know if i'm going to make it through this season. How do you keep someone like KAT over Hannah? Last I knew this was a dance team not a barbie wannabe team... 

JMO: I believe Kelli falls into the "Buck up! You just need to get over it!" category. I'd say she's one who doesn't understand mental health issues. It was probably never discussed in her family, and kept hush-hush if a relative was acting "different", or "crazy". She probably sees someone who struggles with depression as "weak". Hannah's issues made good story for Kelli's TV show, and that's all it was, good story.

I didn't see enough of Brennan to make an opinion.  I believe Lily they showed good points and bad and I always thought she would get cut this year.  Her and Meredith were the top of possible cuts.

Brianna looks tired.  I hope she makes the decision to move on this year

As to the comments on Sydney's body......she looks great to me.  completely flat stomach.  maybe a little more rear end but she looks good.  Now some of the other rookies need cookies and hamburgers.  In the words of my man, some like Jada look like little girls.

And I too wonder has Rachel A missed a game.  Is that why she now lives with her sister not Alexis and Maddie because she got Covid?  First mention of Covid was just now but she states it's 6 weeks later.  Hope she gets her smell back I love her.

Last I love Rachel W as point and hope she stays so she can be on the field as point next year.

 

Agree on it all and to me Rachel A looked thick with some ass jiggle. Like WW thick. How her, Cianna, etc get away with the extra I do not know.

It might have looked like they were thick by comparison to the other girls who are in great shape, Elli, Kat, Hannah, etc

I agree with you! I like Hannah. But I understand why she gets cut. I too would have cut Kat and Meridith as well. I like them both. But they did get outdanced. I think Lilly looks beautiful and don't understand her cut as if right now.  But the rookie class is so strong. It is always sad to see vets go. I was so sad to see Sheridan cut. She was my favorite. I was hoping she would make the team this year.

Yeah, Lily has looked really good in some of her clips.  I was unhappy, but kind of understood her cut before, but seeing her dance, I can't see it.  They suck.
