Avery might have been a lovely child, who knows. That doesn’t mean she’s hasn’t grown up to be just like her mother.

I did see on a twitter or something, on a magazine profiled in a message here  (sorry I cannot remember who posted it) that Avery thinks basically she is something special and had no friends.  I am sorry to learn that, if true.   I always thought she seemed above the fray for someone her age.

Then Leah knew that Ramona, really, really didn't want Leah's sister there, but she pushed and threw a literal, on the ground, kicking and screaming temper tantfum to get her way. She's psycho.

It was rude to even ask, but clearly Leah has no concerns about being rude. She is awful.

I agree, but I'm wondering why it was up to Ramona to decide whether her sister could join the trip or not.  If this is a Bravo-sponsored trip, wouldn't they have the say so on whether a non-cast member can be in the group?  Would said person pay their own way or does the show pay for it?  I don't know how these things work!

They all came from nothing.  A nurse, a hostess, a realtor, Ramoaner was poor before marrying, Bethenny was dirt poor until she worked hard then became a business woman.  Most got money thru marriage, but now act like royalty, except Tinsley, who’s a socialite.  I don’t get  their thinking they are upper crust.  BTW, they filmed last October.  Why hasn’t the Countess had any cabaret dates, or has she?  They usually show at least one.

Ramona already had her own successful wholesale business by her thirties - after a fast track career including being a buyer for some major retailers.  She's mentioned more than once that she made her first million before she was married in her mid thirties.    She's one of the few Bravo HW's who made their own money and has generally been an advocate for other women making their own financial security.

My heart was in my throat when Leah went after Sonja's lightship basket; if it is authentic and made by a basket maker with real whalebone (and not a cheesy Farnum) they are quite valuable. In classic Sonja fashion, she referred to it as her "shrim shraw" when in fact it appeared to be a carved decoration on the top and not an etched drawing which is what scrimshaw is. Either way it was such a pretty piece and so apropos

A girl after my own heart! I love me a vintage Lightship basket and didn't even notice it last night what with all the hysteria and Leah tantrums. Can you even imagine what her mother thinks after watching this out of control display?! That isn't just for the cameras and even if it was, why on earth would you want to portray yourself as a belligerent, sloppy drunk on TV?

Holy hell, I'd forgotten that scene.      She's slurring her words to the extent they needed to subtitle her.   Betheny summed it up perfectly when the next day she told Dorinda, "I cut you slack because you're a drunk. "   And even then, long before Blue Stone Manor flooded,  Dorinda used the excuse that she had "a lot going on in my life right now."   Loved Bethenny saying, "Who doesn't?".  Bethenny who was in the middle of a custody battle and divorce with a crazy vindictive man.

I know it's unpopular but I miss Bethenny.

This season has been so bad that I've even seen people who don't like Bethenny sheepishly post that they miss her.

100% a lot of battered spouses do this. They will apologize to keep the peace they take the blame so it will just stop they just get so mentally beat down that any way to stop the barrage and onslaught of venom they will take. Every time Dorinda has seen Tinsly she has thrown out something even in passing ... you are nothing you are a whore you are below me you are a child all this said to break her down

Having been a battered wife - that is absolutely right. I also don’t think it is uncommon in any situation where you have any kind of verbal assault nor no win situation where it doesn’t matter what you do, you just need to exit the situation in any way whatsoever.

I an reiterating what others have said. Things that stood out to me:

1. What a gorgeous location that I would love to see;.

2. There has been a lot of nasty, drunk and disturbing behavior (or a combination thereof) on all RH shows, but Leah took it to another (scary) level altogether. For a change, if not for Leah, on this episode I really thought we would have actually have had a nice, fun RH event and seriously, that was a really low bar to begin with.

I miss those episodes on RH when they are all being silly and having fun (Bravo apparently doesn’t and I have no clue how they are going to top Leah’s behavior - Bravo not caring about drunk women is one thing, not caring about the mental health of their employees is another - they really love to keep lowering the bar...);

3. Ramona was the voice of reason (well, she has always been a dichotomy);

4. Dorinda was so happy to have a “drunk friend” who made her look not as drunk - Dorinda how selfish of you because you thought  new “friend’s” problems masked your own - that ship has sailed, and its frightening that you’re that self-absorbed -and by the way, Leah’s problems are more complicated and challenging than drinking too much;

5. WTF about Tinsley’s pillow the rest of you nasty women? You are all far too old to and snobby enough to not know anything about either allergies or the need for certain pillows. I travel a lot for work and always have to take my special “travel” pillow that I need in order to sleep or sit up in bed and for my neck (fused discs);

6. Personally, I was glad Bethenny left because in the last two years I have found her to be so self-involved and caustic that she was no longer funny but just mean. However, they replaced her with the train wreck that is Leah. They didn’t seem to even try ...

7. I wondered if Ramona was being more motherly towards Leah since Leah is not that much older than Avery;

and

8. I was getting an MRI today and had to sit still for an hour in a tube with a mask on my face and to pass the time and keep from moving,  I was counting real housewives and their lives and I realized a few things including: 1) I’ve had way too many MRIs and if it’s for my hand why does my whole body have to be in the tube?; 2) Avery and Leah are both in their 30s; 3) Avery may be in her 30s but I’m still the same age when she first graced my TV screen 🙀; 4) a number of real housewives are now grandmothers; and 5) I so miss the days of travel/lifestyle porn and silly, not evil and basically harmless people.

RIP, my like of Leah. Ugh.

Sonja’s constant, gleeful insults at and to Tinsley, repeatedly calling her names and a baby, are so cruel. She is evil and disgusting. And she must be starving when they aren’t filming because good grief, she is more focused on food than a pack of Golden Retrievers. She may not know there’s some stuff you just can’t ask of Spanx or a liposuction cannula. I imagine Morgan’s actual wife having a Zoom viewing party with friends of this mess and laughing. I would, but this is depressing.

OMG y’all.  Getting all worked up over 50/52/54/100 states when Bravo Andy don’t even know that FL is in 2 time zones (and insisted it couldn’t be) on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.  So yah.  Go with that.

In the meantime, Leah is a drunk psycho.  And as for Avery?  She’s in a long line of bravo kids that talk a bit, it doesn’t mean she’s vying for a role on the next season.  AFAIK Avery is educated and just made 1 tweet about this show, which lets be real.  Leah WAS EMBARRASSING.

Sonja totally molested Leah when she was on her lap. She was feeling her up and really going to town. If a guy did that they would call the cops.

I do have one question though. How did we get to a place where Sonja is the third worst drunk on the show?

Sonja knew she was molesting her too - said something like she was taking advantage of the situation. Wonder what happens with her “interns.”

So evidently, according to Leah who was drunk a lot of the time, we have to look forward to Ramona soiling herself and not cleaning it up? Might be a theme for her and I don't know if that's something I want to watch.

So to recap ladies and gentlemen, we have Tinsley who needs a spine, Dorinda who needs a brain and detox, Leah who needs institutionalizing, Ramona who needs pull ups, and Sonya and Lu who need some dignity. Sounds like a f*cked up Wizard of Oz.

Who picked her for that?

The folks at both the production company (whoever that is) and at Bravo, who realize that conflict and messiness = ratings = $$$.  For this season, it would appear that Dorinda is the designated lightning rod (until and unless Leah takes over that role), ergo talking heads.  I believe that the talking head segments are filmed after the season's filming is complete, right?

BTW, everyone, my daughter just told me Andy got rid of Wacha the dog.  Seems he was getting aggressive with baby Benjamin.  Gave the dog to friends. FYI.

At the time it was happening, I had a "this doesn't smell right" moment.  I had the same sort of moment when she declared that she wasn't hungover the following morning.  She was being less than genuine in one of those circumstances, surely.

Someone ^upthread mentioned Sonja's handbag in this episode.  I have always admired them (I've always called them Nantucket baskets).  Here's a couple of examples for sale on Etsy, showing how they're all over the board on cost.  Even the knock-offs are dear.

Except it sounds like that have all been down this road before.  She may not have been that drunk, but she clearly has acted like this in the past.  Her mom is on to her, I would assumed her baby daddy is too.  What a pathetic girl she is.  I wish she would have been arrested for destruction of property.

What was concerning to me was her saying that she had shown her "psycho" self to some guy (boyfriend?) and she was regretting it.  (Correct me if I'm not remembering this correctly.)  Then her emotions escalated from there.  She went completely out of control.  I guess the icing on the cake was Ramona not wanting her sister to meet up with them.  Leah was already wound up with regret when she arrived.   I'm not making fun of her.  I think she needs some professional help.  I hate to see somebody go off the deep end like that.

I’m truly curious whether their contracts require these women to not apologize publicly for their sometimes vile behavior. Leah posted a short video to her Instagram stories in which she is petting and talking to her dog. She says that the “boomers” who think she should be ashamed are bitches and that there is “no shame in her game.” She is also sharing numerous postings from other people that say she is the best thing to happen to the show, blah blah blah. It is like she is taking a page from Dorinda’s book, defending absolutely indefensible behavior. Even if she was just “acting” for the camera, would it be so wrong to make a short comment via social media that she regrets her behavior? Maybe I am just taking these shows too seriously.

As long as there are people who support her, then it's likely that she'll never apologize because she doesn't think she didn't anything embarrassing or wrong.   She's like Dorinda in that the more outrageous the outbursts, the more defensive they get.

I really want to hear everybody's thoughts about Leah not being rounded up and taken to the nearest ER.  That is the most provocative issue about this episode.

...for what? Leah may have been a drunken mess but she posed no danger to herself or others with her actions. It was quite easy to reason with her, as shown in the breathing exercise scene with Ramona. She didn't seem to be at alcohol poisoning levels, she was tearing apart the set but wasn't physically threatening anyone there that we were shown, and she wasn't in medical distress. So long as someone rolled her into a rescue position when they dumped her in her bed (which we didn't see so we have no idea), Leah was perfectly fine.

Beg to differ.  I think she was a threat to herself and others.  Post-filming is no way to diagnose that she didn't have a problem because she didn't end up killing herself.  I believe Leah has a huge problem and production has a responsibility to step in.  This isn't Sonja, this is someone with a diagnosed mental health issue.  A serious mental health issue.  YMMV and obviously does.

Production doesn't have to step in - I'm sure all liability is waived through paperwork and whatnot and no matter how real or fake the show is, Production always tries to keep up the facade that they are there to observe, not steer. That's standard for any candid reality show. If she was in severe medical distress, I'm sure they would step in but she was drunk (or pretending like she was drunker than she really was). I'm not saying that Leah may or may not have a problem with alcohol or a mental health diagnosis or what have you. She and the rest of the people there were in no physical threat by her actions (okay, minus the one camera guy that she kicked at but she didn't even seem like she was trying to connect) and Leah wasn't in medical distress. She needed to sober up and she did by the next morning. We know she has a mental health diagnosis now, post-filming, but that doesn't change what happened then when the scene was filmed.

The only responsibility, IMO, falls on Leah herself for getting into that state and the bartenders for serving her until she was in that state and I hope to hell they cut her off.

I know, seriously. The fact that Dorinda was like, "yeah, somehow it's still your fault that I'm a miserable person, Tinsley" is what was so infuriating to me. At some point, Tins was just to just walk away because there is no negotiating with an emotional vampire like Dorinda.

Exactly. Dorinda doesn't like Tinsley for... reasons. Tinsley needs to treat Dorinda like the co-worker she is and ignore her. None of this trying to reason with her bullshit. She tried twice, she was rejected twice. Time to call it.

I think Leah was legitimately drunk, but she was also putting on at times. She got that trashed after a double shot of vodka? Girl, please. She was embarrassing, and I hope Bravo paid the staff nicely for putting up with those antics. If it were me, I would've ate my lobster and ignored Leah. Let her perform for those who need the entertainment.

I was surprised that they ate outside considering how cold it was. Ramona had on a heavy-ass jacket, so their food must've gotten cold quickly.

Neither Leah or Pita guy are winners, but her going from 0 to 100 on him was all sorts of crazy. Reminds me of the nonsense she pulled with Michael Che.

It's a shame that everyone on the show is scared of Dorinda. I remember when she went to Puerto Rico with Bethenny, got drunk, and embarrassed herself at dinner with Bethenney's colleague. Beth called her a drunk, but she walked it back the next day. She should've stood tall and stood by what she said. This is why Dorinda continues to behave the way she does. They all enable her shitty behavior because they're scared of her.

But what you need to do with people like Leah and Dorinda is just let them hit their bottoms.

They are all scared of Dorinda because someone either Andy or the producers think that Dorinda is the star. I am sure that the other women have been told in no uncertain terms that they have to accommodate Dorinda and her drunken rants or move on. Just like Carole was probably called in after the renunion of her last season and told to make up with Bethenny or else. She chose not to do this. These women are desperate to hold on to their apple so they will continue to bow down to Dorinda and apologize to Dorinda when it is Dorinda who should be doing the apologizing.

I also bet it was John who ended the relationship and this is why Dorinda has been so weepy and on edge this season. She knows that he put up with her drunken rages and embarrassing public performances and now she has no one to take caer of her. She treated him like shit on her shoe all these years and played the high and mighty lady Medley to the  uncouth John who was so beneath her station in life. So let her see how it is to be on her own. I can't imagine that she'll have an easy time attracting men.
