Leah’s voice is really grating and there’s nothing even remotely interesting about her.  She’s almost 40 years old and she’s acting like a 16 year old who just had her first drink.   She said she was diagnosed with bipolar and at her age she should know by now what she can and cannot tolerate with regard to alcohol and drugs.  She’s going to react differently than someone without the illness and her history shows it’s not good.

Leah may have abstained from alcohol for nine years because it does not mix well with antipsychotics used to treat hypomania as well as most antidepressants. If she's currently taking psychiatric medications the behavior we saw could be in part due to those unfavorable interactions between alcohol and medication.

Ugh Leah. I have been around a lot of drunks and druggies in my life, and have been totally wasted myself on occasion, but I have never seen anyone as out of control as Leah. I thought for awhile it would be refreshing to have a younger downtown girl on the show, but she just sucks the air out of a party. Need attention much?

This show is unwatchable now.

Between Dorinda being a rage, screaming drunk bitch; and Leah being a black out drunk shrieking, crying shit show; and Sonja jumping into everyone else’s convos to yell that’s SHE is more whatever the other person is saying; and Lu constantly yammering over everyone in her never ending side convos; I.Just.Cant. They’re all so bad that Ramona looks like the same one this season, and Elyse is too normal for this shit show.

This isn’t entertainment. Watching Dorinda and Leah drown in alcohol when they both should n in-patient setting is not entertainment. Neither is Sonja deluded antics, also in need of in-patient therapy.

Right, and she would be educated about the negative side effects.  Plus this isn’t the first time she blacked out.  Maybe the show makes her nervous and she uses alcohol to be “entertaining”.

Tonight was so disturbing and uncomfortable that I'm about to utter my unthinkable: I miss Bethenny.

I do miss her. She was articulate, witty, her insults were on point, I loved most of her clothes.  Leah can’t take her place.

I think the dark haired one should take Leah’s place.  She’s in the same age range, her background is way more interesting than Leahs.

I don't think she was as out of control as she appeared to be. I think it was calculated to get her way. She's not right.

Take it for what it’s worth but Leah said that Ramona initially said yes and than withdrew her invitation three times before they got there.

Then Leah knew that Ramona, really, really didn't want Leah's sister there, but she pushed and threw a literal, on the ground, kicking and screaming temper tantfum to get her way. She's psycho.

Why do I feel traumatized from watching this? Jesus fucking Christ. She threw and temper tantrum and got her way what is she 5? What was that?

Canceled my cable after watching Beverly Hills last night. After this shitshow I'm glad I did. What the hell? Someone mentioned that ratings were up but I find that hard to believe.

The Newport resort was beautiful. I watch these shows for the vacations but the screeching, peeing and drunkenness has taken all the fun out of it.

Apparently, Tinsley's mere existence hurts and offend Dorinda, and the other Worker Bees are just glad that it's not them.

I was surprised by Ramona here. I understand being blindsided and freaked out at Leah's tantrum, but for me, that would be enough to dis-invite Leah and her sister. No vacation, even a Bravo-funded one, needs a 37 year old toddler.

Where's Carole to snark on Sonja, the One-Upper? Sonja is yet another Housewife who's driven by intense envy combined with laziness. She wants a successful business/"lifestyle brand" but doesn't want to actually work on it. She wants a meaningful or at least beneficial romantic relationship but humiliates herself at every opportunity and then tries to cover up her failures by playing like she's an Enlightened Courtesan.

And now Leah is going after Ramona’s daughter on Instagram because Avery dared to say that she found this episode embarrassing. It was embarrassing. And the subsequent tantrums by Leah and dorinda on social media are even more embarrassing. *sigh*

She was acting just like a 2 year old needing a nap. Wouldn't it have been fun to see Bethany react to her tantrum?

I’m an unapologetic Tinsley defender, so therefore: why does Leah get a break for being “so young” but Tinsley is a gold digger who acts like a child? Nuts.

Dorinda is more than happy to have a partner in crime, i.e. someone who gets drunk and is crazier than her.  She will defend that behavior all day long!

I think I'd marry Ramona over Bethenny, honestly.

My favourite part of the episode was when they were all making fun of Elyse.  This episode was kind of good , but this season's been dismal.  Someone convince Bethenny to come back.

I’ve said that and everyone came down on me.  Bethenny was no worse than these bitches.  So she talked about her divorce and the boyfriend who died.  Doesn’t Dorinda?  At least Beth talked sensible and tried to help people like Dorinda.  She made sense and never got crazy drunk.  But, she’s into lots of things, is loaded with money and doesn’t need the aggravation.  I really miss her thinking heads.  She came out with the funniest observations you have to admit.  That’s what’s missing here .. HUMOR.  There is no humor anymore, only drinking and fights and Dorinda.  I also have to say, I’m so disgusted with Tinsley.  Why was she all over Dorinda, kissing and hugging her?  I lost all respect for her after that exhibition.  She gave in to that bully.

Here’s the thing Leah, you want to be ‘who you are’, but you are a different person when you drink, and that person is not a nice person or fun to be around.

Leah may really be saying that she doesn’t want to be on the meds for bipolar II disorder - I’ve known two families who struggled with someone who hated the feeling of being on them, and it was a very scary roller coaster ride for everyone.

Leah wrote this article in 2016:
https://hypebae.com/2016/8/leah-mcsweeney-bipolar-mental-health

“I turned a dark corner when my hypomania got out of control and became dangerous. It was so hard to see that I was out of control. I felt charming, seductive. I swear I even feel like during these elated times I look sexier and prettier. I was sexually insatiable, I spent a lot of money I didn’t have, and I was agitated and impulsive. I’m not sure I’m explaining my hypomania in a way one can understand. But it’s a constant hunger, a constant need for stimulation, constant thinking. Not hungry for food though. I barely eat during these episodes. There is no peace. No serenity. It is a state of needing more non-stop.

I thought it would be a great idea to go to Spain for a weekend even though I had just been there for two weeks not long before. I also thought it would be a great idea to change Kier’s school out of nowhere, buy a couch that cost $10,000 USD, and date a couple. I couldn’t sit still and I couldn’t stop spending money. Finally the mania ended and like clockwork the 747 of depression hit. BOOM. Floored me. I had no idea what hit me. I seemed to have forgotten the pattern. And once again I was sitting in the brown leather chair. In tears. But this time worried about my mascara running because I decided I had a crush on my doctor — the mania was lingering.

That was in the summer of 2014. I have been in remission, as they call it, since then. After trial and error I am on the right medication cocktail. Sometimes I want to go off it all but my support network of friends and family always talk me out of it. I’m creative but stable. I don’t go out all night. I eat a healthy, balanced diet. I get a solid eight hours of sleep and I try to stay with a routine. I took up ice skating, and I go to the gym. Taking care of myself keeps my “episodes” at bay. When I feel they are coming on, I go see my doctor right away. Sometimes I need to make a little change in the dosage or add or take something away. But I kind of have it down to a science at this point…knock on wood.”

I don’t think Leah was that drunk. I think it was temper at not getting her own way and unchecked histrionics.  She had no hangover the next day and was just as rude and belligerent in the shop.  I wouldn’t want her as a friend, Dorinda can have her. Two entitled and childish women deserve each other.

I would’ve left the screeching bunch of fools and gone off for a tranquil glass of wine with Elyse.

Tinsley... how do you keep your eyes open with those fake eyelashes? They’re not attractive at all

The very last thing Leah should be doing is involving herself on a reality show where she has an audience to witness her coming undone. Then dealing with the negativity on social media. You have to be well grounded to handle that. This is not going to turn out well for Leah.

So true - and Bravo has crossed a line here (as they did with LeeAnne on the Dallas show). Of course they’re looking for cast members who have narcissistic tendencies, but hiring people with known disorders that put everyone in danger is irresponsible. No wonder Leah’s mom and baby daddy were so upset - they’ve been through it with her.

I looked up the rooms they are staying in, and for mid-October (off season for Newport), the rates start at around $950.00/per night!!

Guess I won’t be going there, lol.  We went for one day and ate by the water.  Then went into some mansions.  Very crowded in summer, and a bitch to park.  Then slept at Foxwoods Casino.

There's a certain mix of pharmaceuticals (I think it's the right pairing of uppers and downers?) that can completely wipe out a hangover quicker than a greasy cheeseburger, an ice cold Coca-Cola, and half an hour in a hot tub or steam room can. You can tell by the specifics of the two what my go-to was in my 20s.

FTR Burger King's sloppy Whopper with extra mayo was the gold standard in hangover recovery for me.

In my youth, Chicken McNuggets and a coke from MacDonald's was the cure for me, by noon I was feeling normal...these days, it is not so easy, sick for a day, praying for the next morning just to feel normal.  I am now the one drink wonder.

Leah's daughter will see or at the very least will hear about this last episode from her friends at school, yikes.

I’m sure Bravo won’t agree with me, but I would love to see an episode where these woman have a dinner or a mini vacation where only ONE glass of wine (or cocktail) is served at each meal, and no extra booze is supplied. I am curious how these people would interact without being lubricated by copious amounts of alcohol.  My theory is, they would discover they really have nothing in common other than getting blitzed and can’t related to one another as true friends do in the real world.

I don’t find Tinsley’s pillow to be an issue.  I think her dependency on 5lbs of fake lashes is more concerning.

Dorinda needs deep therapy to deal with the death of her husband.  He is gone and never coming back.  To keep dragging the weight of his death and absence around is unhealthy.  Keep the memories, treasure his spirit, and how you felt as a couple.  Bring that happy, positive energy to your present life.  Wallowing in depression and reminiscing over what you had 7-8-9 years ago is grounding you in emotional cement.

Luann must have suffered some memory loss due to her drinking. She said with such conviction that she “never” behaved as bad as Leah when drinking (cue to roll into the bushes footage).  However, that wasn’t the ONLY drunken antic for Lu.  It’s the one of the few filmed.  How about her whole arrest story?  Walking into the wrong hotel room with some rando from the bar?  Resisting arrest and assaulting a cop?  Running through the backyard in her nightgown, screeching for millions to buy a house?

Elyse is trying sooooo hard to get that apple, huh?  She has some Jill Zarin- level of thirst going on!

Thank God Sonja wasn’t the focus this week.  As uncomfortable as it was to see Leah’s behavior, I was thankful I didn’t have to hear about the yacht, the toaster, her ex, her pussy.

As for Leah, that was disturbing and sad.  She seems to have been pushed into a slump over whoever “Pita Pocket” is and his no show date.  It shows me for all her tough girl attitude, Leah is a pretty fragile person with self esteem issues. Alcohol (or drugs) is not ever gonna help.  I wonder if her daughter’s father ends up using this footage to keep the daughter away from Leah, even short term?

Finally, I attended a wedding at Castle Hill a few years ago.  Absolutely stunning. One of the most gorgeous places I’ve visited.  I live 2 hours away from Newport, and we go on day trips often to shop, or tour the mansions. I had second hand embarrassment for every single store owner, hotel guest, waitstaff, tourist, squirrel and seashell who had to witness one minute of these women. For all their pretenses of class and etiquette, there is not one of them who knows how to behave in public.

Planning to go again.  Are those shops they went to right near the water, or somewhere else?  I remember going in a few shops, but not that many that were shown.  Also, it was very hot and very crowded.  That bridge going in is very high I remember.  Yikes.  The mansions were nice tho, and the gowns shown in the glass cases.  Nice place to go.

We spent New Years Eve in Newport once and it was an absolute blast.  They set up an ice rink right on the water.   I live in New England and would always choose Newport over the Cape or the islands (Martha’s Vineyard/Nantucket).  There are so many wonderful restaurants and the Cliff Walk is incredible.  The Old mansions are cool, but some of the new ones on Ocean Drive are just out of this world.

My love of Newport aside, that shot shown last night was just embarrassing.  I don’t think Elyse is thirsty.  I think at the time of filming, she was likely under consideration to be added as a housewife.  I don’t see her adding more/less than anyone else.

if Leah’s behavior was not an act, this needs to be her first/last season.  She doesn’t need to be around an enabler like Dorinda.

Wow, Leah is A LOT.

Being on this show is clearly too much for Leah's mental health. It feels a little side show-esque to be seeing someone unravel like this. Does Bravo hate all of humanity or is it just women -- I can't tell.

I dislike people who prey on weakness, and depressed Dorinda is one of those people to me. She draws strength by weakening others.  She's like a video game evil character -- as she attacks and weakens someone, her energy bar goes up. Jeepers, get your depression treated, do something about your drinking problem, and stop taking it out on everyone else.  She's personified rage and regret.

Tinsley, sigh. She's a sweet person, which I like, but please stop with the world's oldest 7 year old schtick...it's cringey.

I never wanna hear Dorinda bitch about Tins acting like a child when she doesn't call any of these ladies mommy or acts like a 5yo when she doesn't get her way... Dorinda only wants to guide the alcoholic drunks I guess and its ok for them to act like toddlers

Except that it was Luann who came for Tinsley about the pillow and the others piled on. Dorinda wasn't even there.

I sleep on an ergonomic pillow and I bring it with me when I can, but it goes in a suitcase or duffle bag, it's never loose. People put their street shoes all over everything, as we saw in the Sprinter and once they got into their cottages. I don't want my pillow touching anything. I'm also appalled at people who put their suitcases right on the duvet cover, omg, and it happens repeatedly on cast trips regardless of the show.

Luann sounds like a person who has spent decades on a bar stool, drinking whiskey and smoking cigarettes.

I understand that.  Ramona should have simply said no from the start.  That the trip was just for the women on the show to bond or whatever it is they do.

I’ve been disturbed after many episodes this season.  This second crazy rant of Leahs was beyond.  No wonder her mom is worried.  I can’t remember the age of her daughter but I think she is older than nine.  That’s the amount of time Leah said she was clean.  So she must have been drinking or drugging when her daughter was a baby.  Then of course Dorinda’s bullying. She wasn’t as bad this episode, but that’s not saying much.  Since Leah and Dorinda are hitting it off they should sign themselves into an inpatient mental health facility.

Leah's drunken behavior went above and beyond. I'm surprised none of the other women thought to use Leah's sister as a means to rein in her behavior, or even call upon production to intervene.

My heart is with the Cape because I spent most of my summers as a kid there (FWIW, my family wasn't wealthy but my grandparents were smart enough to buy a summer cottage in the early 60s and my dad was a teacher so that's what we did for summer vacation).  Personally, Newport doesn't feel particularly accessible to me but admittedly, I've only really been there a few times.

I'm giving a pass on Tinsley trying to make up with Dorinda, because I think that Tins is just desperately trying to get them all past the Eternal Vengeance of Dorinda Medley. Of course, she should realize that there is no getting past that because Dorinda is mean and vindictive, and will never take any responsibility for anything.

What I won't give Tinsley a pass on is chastizing Ramona about commenting on Leah's drinking. This is part of why I think Tins may have her own issues with alcohol. But after seeing how Leah behaved in the Hamptons, I'm not sure how she can believe that things are all hunky-dory when it comes to Leah's relationship to alcohol.

Leah being like, "The other ladies get messy!" is not that great of a defense. Like if I saw someone drowning, my instinct would not be "I'll drown too!"

The other ladies have never been purposely destructive. Ramona tore down some lights (and plaster) at Blue Stone Manor, Lu broke some branches in a shrub, Sonja broke a tooth trying to rip off a man's shirt, but I don't recall any of them actively looking for things to destroy like Leah does. She ripped out and threw lit tiki torches like javelins, there was broken glass around the pool at Ramona's, she was looking at those curtains last night like she was trying to figure out how to rip the material free, or take the whole structure down. She's psycho.

She ripped out and threw lit tiki torches like javelins, there was broken glass around the pool at Ramona's, she was looking at those curtains last night like she was trying to figure out how to rip the material free, or take the whole structure down. She's psycho.

And then she doubles down on SM deflecting her behavior and engaging in a twitter war with Avery (I honestly don’t care if Avery started it, don’t fucking engage).  It’s not OK to act out like that.  She was like a rabid animal and it was shameful.  I’m sure her mom is pissed.  And her poor daughter.  This is indefensible.

I’m no prude and I curse often, but she was also out of line throwing another tantrum in that boutique (the look on that shopkeeper’s face said it all).   But hey, Leah is someone who is never going to be in the wrong in her mind.

so leaning into the toddler thing is ok? calling adult woman who arnt related to you mommy and throwing tantrums and ripping down things and acting like a 5 yo does thats fine? I mean i find that behavior a lot worse then Tinsly living her life with rose colored glasses...

To me, the issue isn't whether or Leah's behavior "erases" Tinsley's.  It's that it is the absolute height of hypocrisy for Dorinda to go all-in defending Leah when she has a toddler's temper tantrum while consistently and viciously attacking Tinsley for "acting like a little girl."  Dorinda doesn't get to have it both ways.

That's separate from whether or not either Leah or Tinsley's behavior is acceptable. Personally, I do think Tins has some issues about becoming a person independent from her mother but still, she's never behaved as badly as Leah did last night.

I felt bad for Tinsley at that moment. She made an effort to make peace with The Beast. She said she wanted the vitriol to end and tried to make amends, and Dorinda was like, "Weellllll, I don't knooww,..."

And then defends Leah's lunatic behavior because she's a young single mother? WTF? Dorinda needed to give herself that speach about being judgemental. Projection much?
