She did at first and than Ramona told her she was serious, Lu smiled amd shrugged her shoulders and drank it. She definitely knew and than she drank more of it after the first drink.

Right, but I don’t think she necessarily lied when relaying the story to Leah. She said “I thought it was water” which perhaps she did at the beginning; then after discovering it wasn’t, was like, what the hell, a few more sips.

It is something you can't understand until you experience it yourself.  I dont mean that as a slight, but the gauntlet of emotions you experience doesn't have an expiration date on this one

Thank you for your insight.  It gives some much needed perspective on Dorinda's behavior this season.

Tonight was very uncomfortable to watch, imo.

It's pretty rare that I reach for the FF button during an argument but I couldn't get through the fight between Dorinda and Tinsley tonight.  It made me appreciate the petty squabbles of Beverly Hills a little more.

My point was that she appeared to believe Ramona before she took the first drink because she started to put it down and than did a what the hell expression and drank so yes she lied.

To be fair, it appeared as if Luann was asked about Leah's apartment and struggled with what to say  i was yelling cozy, say it's cozy!  Of course, the Countess acted like the Countess.

For those that were asking, she rents a new pied a terre every year for filming. Her primary residence is upstate, although she also spends time at the Sag Harbor house.

I think she's both.  Look at Dorinda now, pouring herself her 18176262 drink of the day.

I wonder how Dorinda would feel if she had to face off with one of the Atlanta, Potomac, or Beverly Hills housewives.

I would love for Kenya to go off on her. They match in mean craziness but Kenya is so much smarter.

Arguably, Bethenny has said worse to Luann.  But with Dorinda, it's the long, drawn-out mockery that tips her over the edge.  That's not just getting into a no-holds-barred argument or losing it in a rant.

Sonja is a bad drunk who'd be charged with sexual harassment if she were a man (and she should have stayed out of the D/T fight), but at least she's not deliberately cruel.

I remember the apartment that Lu moved to after Tom dumped her. It wasn't much different in size than Leah's. I remember the owner left books in bookshelves. But ya, it was nothing to brag about. (Lu's I mean).

I will say though that I am disappointed that none of the howives have great apartments. Sonja, Leah, Ramona, Dorinda all live in shoe boxes. I understand that NYC is expensive, but I tune in partly for real estate porn, and this show is no longer doing it for me. I actually loved Sonja's townhouse, even if it was falling apart.

That must be the reason they are showing so many scenes of the howives getting together in parks, walking together, etc. I would imagine it isn't easy to film in such cramped spaces as the apartments most are living in.

Well said!!  I was thinking the same thing about Dorinda (comparing tonight to past episodes with Bethenny) - the mockery and faux outrage at Tinsley's rebuttal is what made Dorinda a total bully tonight.  It was sad, really, because I usually do like Dorinda, except for when she acts like she did tonight.

I don't know if there is more to the story that we are not privy to because it happened off camera or when they weren't filming, or if it is just that Dorinda truly doesn't like Tinsley, for whatever reason.  Either way, it was uncomfortable to watch.

I guess we'll see this all play out as Tinsley supposedly distances herself more and more from the group as the season goes on, from what we've read and seen in the press.  I can't say I blame her after tonight's episode.

Speaking of Beverly Hills.  They must be laughing their asses off at this shit show tonight.

I've never seen Ramona live in a shoebox.  I think her NYC apartment is beautiful.  Also, Ramona's Hamptons mansion is enormous and Dorinda's Berkshires house is enormous.

Not all of them can be millionaires like Bethenny.  That's a one in a million bank account.

I was thinking the same thing today.  No more dinners at the apartments and houses.  Everything is being filmed outside.  That alone takes away from the show.

Ooops, you are right. Ramona's new apartment isn't what her old one was (and she has said that she doesn't like her new apartment) but it is a decent size. I did prefer her old apartment, but the new one is decent too. Didn't she say she was selling it too as she has never felt comfortable in it?

I agree with all of this so thoroughly (except the part about loving Sonja’s townhouse—that place always looked like it smelled bad to me).  Yes, living in NYC is insanely expensive.  I’m sure Leah’s apartment is at least $5,000 a month, but...it looks like hell.  It’s small and white and boring like Dorinda’s apartment.   I’d rather live in an outer borough like Alex McCord than live like that.  They seem to either be renting or too lazy to put up a nice coat of paint.

I’ve always thought Ramona’s apartment was ok, about equal with Jill’s, but not the real estate for which we tune in.  Notice how we never see Ramona’s kitchen?  I would say they are in the middle, on par with Kristen’s, Jules’s and Carole’s apartments.  They might be extremely expensive.  But they’re not nice.

The apartments don’t have to be Bethenny-level nice for me to appreciate them.  People who have had fabulous Manhattan apartments on this show in the past have been Kelly, Jennifer Gilbert, Cindy, and Aviva probably just barely.  I am talking high ceilings, marble, modern kitchens and bathrooms, lots of space, closet space, and no freaking wires sticking out everywhere.  In other words, just places I like to see.

If they don’t film them at home—if they can’t keep up—I don’t really think they should be on the show.  Having a great home should be part of it.  I mentioned that I am re-watching season five right now and they simply never show Heather at home because she doesn’t live in NYC, and it really affects how I view her in a negative way.

We should be able to see their homes, and they should have great real estate in New York City, even if it’s not at a Bethenny level.  It’s expensive, but that’s one of the reasons New York is considered the best.

Jules had an enormous house where they were adding a built in pool.... .  Also Carole's apartment was amazing , before and after her redecorating.

To say that Carole's Soho Duplex is "not nice"?  I disagree.

I used to find Dorinda entertaining, but she’s morphed into a miserable biddy. If that’s her idea of growing, no thanks.

She has become very angry this season. It can't just be about her renovation issues or John.

I was hoping to see Ramona "make it nice" at the Berkshires.

Okay, even better I thought.  She had two places instead of one.

Nah, I still don’t think Bethenny has the highest net worth of the NY wives. She’s got a ton of overhead in mortgages and I think the bloom is off the Skinny Girl brand as a whole. The jeans are horrendous and her pre-mixed alcohol drinks are passé.

I missed some stuff on the first watch -

Luann is all "Oh, that tiny table won't hold all the food I brought!" Bitch, please. That bag had two tiny water bottles, and at the most 2 small trays of sushi; 4 rolls max, looked more like 2. Give me a break.

Dorinda is just a fucking mean, nasty bitch. Holy cow.

i officially DETEST dorinda!!!!!

I loved Ramona's old apartment - to me, that was one of the things I loved about this show when it started.  Her large, probably "classic six" on the Upper East Side was everything I dreamed about when I was a teenager who wanted to live in the city.  I even liked it when everyone else said that the aparment was dated.  Her renovations were well done, although I thought the apartment lost some of it's character and became another white on white on white box, like so many other apartments and homes right now.

Her new apartment, while nice, just seems a little cold to me - it's like Ramona decorated it from a ZGallerie catalog - just more white on white on beige - no personality.  She decorated it like a model home - ready for re-sale.

The only lacking in both of Ramona's apartments (old and new) is any kind of outdoor space or terrace.

Until Bethenny started making Skinnygirl money and buying/renovating/selling apartments as a hobby, Ramona's apartment and Sonja's townhouse still stand out as the best NYC real estate.  Kelly had a nice apartment, too, iirc.  Jill's apartment was tiny, Luann's townhouse was also small (and a rental, if I recall correctly), Alex's Brooklyn townhouse was always under construction, Bethenny lived in teeny, tiny apartments.  Carole's apartment was also okay, but again, I think it was only three rooms with a scary staircase.  Dorinda's apartments were both small.  I can't remember Aviva's, Kristen's or Heather's places.  I remember Jules' was also very small.

My head hurts. That was a very painful hour to get through.

Dorinda needs an identity outside of Richard. Who is this woman, other than an irascible cantankerous wretch?

I haven't seen this show yet.

But I think Dorinda is not well at all. In a lot of ways.

But one is her posture....she is hunched over in the past epidodes.

She needs help in a lot of ways.

She's the brunette who lived in the Flatiron area, right? 19th St?

I remember her going to this place near me, with Bethenny I think - The Tipsy Parson. $17 for avocado toast. 😂😂 I used to walk past there going to the lovely, inexpensive Zemi. $11 for yummy pan roasted flounder in lemon butter caper sauce.
