I love this post!!! Jackie should have served the head of a goat or whatever the hell that was that Jennifer's mother served up to Jennifer when she came to kids birthday party...maybe Jennifer wouldn't have made such a big stink about nothing for the adults to eat.

Speaking of Jackie's dad...something is really off with this guy. He seems to be not all there...maybe early onset dementia? And what the hell was he wearing? He lives in that huge home all by himself? What is going on here? It's clear he and his "wife" are separated so why not divorce after all these years? Where's Jackie's long lost sister? There's some dysfunction here...for sure.

And yes! I would love to know what the hell Marge Sr. did when Marge Jr. was a child...good grief...was she an escort? 

Nonno should get more credit for keeping the home fires clicking on all four cylinders. Enough about Saint Teresa doing everything and sacrificing so much. Nonno makes sure the groceries are bought, meals are made and the kids are getting to their schools and activities...all Teresa does is get her nails/hair/makeup done and run around with younger guys. I never see her, the author of cookbooks no less, making meals or doing laundry or vacuuming or anything even remotely related to being a "housewife". She sits around whining and having pity parties or going on elaborate vacays at 5 star resorts.

This is a flashback to another side conversation on another show/board when one of the cast remembers only applied to a medical school outside of the states. One of the points of concern was how hard it could be to find a residency for someone who attended school outside of the traditional US medical school programs.

Do vets have a do a residency ?

Can't image a college turning off water at 10pm...

Vet schools are harder to get into than regular medical schools...the reason being that veterinarian medicine is more complex since vets have to learn the anatomies and complex make up all kinds of animals. There really aren't a lot of  accredited vet schools in the U.S. but most of them are very good and selective. One way around this, if someone is having difficulty getting into one and going to a Caribbean school is not an option for various reasons, is to enlist in the U.S. Army and put in for veterinary medicine. I have a friend who did this and got her veterinary medical degree through the Army and served as a veterinary doctor for the Armed Forces as payment for schooling and a vet degree. She served in South Korea and Japan before coming home and going into practice. It is more lengthy than going to a regular school stateside, but you get a quality veterinary medicine education and diploma while serving your country and helping the military dogs and other animals.

I agree, although the designs are more sophisticated than, say, the Gretchen Kristine line. One BIG problem, though, is that my browser wouldn't open the Macbeth Collection link, as Google said it was "suspicious." LOL!

I thought this too at first.  And then...I am so ashamed to admit this, but I did some no-life-bitch Nancy Drew sleuthing, and I found out that the sun set at 8:22 pm in Paramus on June 1, 2019, which is approximately the date they went, given the fact that Mother’s Day had been a few episodes ago, and they went to Jackie’s beach house just before Labor Day.  So they could have gone at, say, 7 pm, and if they got their food by 7:30, it would have still been sunny out?

He knows he has to keep his composure on camera for the sake of his thriving plastic surgery practice which he needs in order to keep his wife in diamonds, mansions and Chanel. I like Dr. Bill and I think he gets a kick out of Jennifer's ridiculousness. He knows she's a dingbat. He didn't marry her for her smarts. It was pretty bright and I didn't see where the exactly sun was in the sky, of course, so I am not ruling out shenanigans, but it could well have been after 6. I get home from work about 7-7:15 and it's sunglasses on the entire way all summer.

I really like Bill. I think he's very sweet, calm, and supportive of Jen. He seems to get a kick out of her and they get along really well. Little Juicy is Melissa's fourth child. It was nice of him to come fix the pipes though.

Big Juicy really seems to be losing his mind in ICE, and it seems to really be making Gia angry and hateful as well. I think she's kind of standing by him, filling a wife type role, since her mom has checked out and she feels bad for him and no one else is taking care of him.

Jennifer's dad supported a theory of mine that Jewish men love track suits. I don't know why, but so many Jewish men default to track suits for comfy clothes. Maybe they think it's stylish? Jackie was dressed really sexy for a visit to her dad. If I wore that outfit around my dad, he'd ask me to put clothes on, and my mom would go downstairs and find me a shirt to wear.

I thought it was great of Dolores to be honest why her daughter was in vet school so far away. She didn't have to say that she didn't get in to vet schools she applied for in the states, but she wasn't hiding it. Her daughter seems really nice.

Little Puffy Franky is great looking. This group of Italians on this show have some of the prettiest eyes.

Re: vet school- I had no idea. I guess since I am fairly  close to one of the 30 in the US (my poster name gives the city in the state), and I see so many vet practices,  in addition to places like Petsmart,  I didn't know vet school was difficult to get into.

I saw the episode.  I thought Thresa came across pretty well on this one.  She seemed relaxed, spoke well (for her) , and seemed to be kind of straightforward when answering questions.  She didn't appear to be putting on a show for the viewers either.

If the show would pull the lid back on some of that I might consider Jackie to finally be of some interest after all.  I fear all we're going to get is rehashing of the eating disorder and some minor squabbling. About that scene in Jackie's dad's kitchen, I couldn't get over the huge square tube tv on the counter.

I can see a guy saying something like that to someone who he has been friends with for a long time, but in real life I doubt Joe and Bill are more than acquaintences. Even for the sake of "the show", that was way out of line.

Did that black SUV have fucking SEAT BELTS? NJ has a seat belt law right ? I feel so sorry for these CHILDREN who are not safe. That’s right. Not safe.  Seat belts save lives. T should be cited and that would probably break her probation. 

I don’t think children of any age who have a parent in jail need to know they need documents to get in, the parent who organizes the visit should facilitate  all of this. How about we just let kids have as little of a pile on of drama as possible on a day they have to see their dad behind plate glass after not seeing them for four months!? F***! Ugggh! 

Bet T had time to get her hair and makeup done rather than get documents and seat belt her kids though !

I tried too and it said that the Domain is not Claimed and to click on the bottom to claim it. You would think they would have this stuff all figured out by now, that show was taped last summer I think.

It was interesting to hear Jackie’s history with an eating disorder, and I’m glad she is doing better, however- most people with eating disorders don’t want their illness to define them. Jackie is becoming one note. And I’m sorry to say her Dad creeps me out. 

It makes me happy to see Nonno Gorga being such an integral part of Theresa’s household. He seems really happy! It used to break my heart when he would frequently weep from a broken heart.

I like Margaret Jr a lot!  I really do!  I don't know if I find her refreshing, but I like her.  She is kind of old, noticeable older than most of the other ladies.  Then - she is always dragging Marge Sr around with her, and trying WAY TOO HARD to make her happen. 

I do not like Sr, she always has this hangdog look on her face, probably because of her jowls.  The facelift didn't help.  She is an old lady, sorry!  Not to be ageist, but I don't want to watch a show about women in their 70s partying in the city.  I think she fancies herself Carrie Bradshaw, but she's not and I am embarrassed for her.

Margaret and her partners jewelry event was really nice and her food looked great and varied. Sad she had to worry about her friends causing drama. 

Gia and Frankie are two great young adults and I cannot wait to see the prom send off. What a gorgeous prom couple.

I thought the WWHL was good by Teresa standards.  When they were playing the game (Teresa had to describe people to the other guest) and Elizabeth Warren popped up I was shocked she knew she was running for president. Given Andy's "Good Job"... -I think he had her in the mix hoping she wouldn't since he's a dick like that.

I like Bill a lot too. Surgeons in my experience are a generally rigid group. This seems so out of his element and hes just trying to get by. I can see Jennifer nagging about wanting to be on the show and he juat said what the hell sure and suddenly Joe Gorga is in his face about his sex life. Meanwhile Joe in all likelihood married Melissa just to have sex with someone regularly but they both share the common bond of loving the camera. There have been several scenes with with Jennifer and Joe that Bill seemed on the verge of laughing but this wasn't one.

Sorry if this is too off topic.  In 2006 I had the unexpected pleasure of having lunch with Tony, Paulie, Bobby, Silvio, Meadow and Carmela (plus everyone else in episode 1).  We were shooting a commercial on another set at Silvercup Studios.  The things I remember. More profanity than I have ever heard in my life, the largest men I have ever seen in track jackets, and the best Italian food imaginable through craft services.  They stayed in character throughout lunch and it was an experience of a lifetime--I felt like I was having lunch with a bunch of mafia men!

That's true. And I have to say, I like the business side of Marge.  This isn't Teresa and fabellini or Melissa twerking on her runway, this is a 20 year career, that existed long before the housewives, and you could tell that for Margaret, this was a really important professional milestone.  It was really nice to see.  And I don't doubt that Margaret made it crystal clear ahead of time that if anybody threw down at her event, there would be hell - and legal fees - to pay.  

Joe Gorga is a pig.  I have to give credit to Bill for walking away.  Joe and Melissa are not classy.  Nobody wants to be them.  They only have a sense of etiquette when it serves them.  They will do anything for the cameras and attention.  And Bill, the quiet and unassuming plastic surgeon should have punched him in the nose, and then revoked the friends and family discount.  And Evan and Joe laughing along with him?  Is that considered acceptable?  I feel like if anybody in my husbands social circle pulled that, nobody would have been laughing. On the contrary they would immediately be telling the offender to fuck off and apologize. 

I like Jennifer.  I don't know why.  She makes me laugh.  But she is also unapologetically herself.  Same as Teresa.  It makes good television.

Has Jackie's husband always been that much taller than her? 

And speaking of Jackie.  I like her.  She is smart and articulate and I don't think she is a bad hostess (although did anybody else catch her comment about how she isn't as thoughful of a hostess as Margaret when it comes to details and a really great party?  Does that not extend to Jennifer?)

And don't get me wrong, all families don't come with 2.5 kids and a white picket fence.  But, her parents live apart.  She developed a severe eating disorder.  She and her sister are estranged to the point that they won't be in the same home for holidays.  We know that Jackie is pretty controlling and rigid.  So yeah, there is something going on there that we aren't getting.  Jackie is only showing what she wants to show and it is really evident.  I'm kind of hoping that Andy turns the cameras on her heavily next season.  Otherwise, why be on the show?  Everybody is being very transparent about their lives and let's be real.  But the only thing we have learned about Jackie is what she told us in the first few episodes last season, other than the money factor, which really shouldn't be such a surprise because this IS the housewives.  Even Evan signing a prenup isn't that shocking.  That's just good sense when one comes to the marriage with money.  So yeah, maybe she is boring.  Or maybe there is much more there and we just need Andy to dig around a bit.  

Her exchange with her father bothered me a bit.  For one, how could her parents not have noticed?  In my 20s I went from a size 12 to an 8 and my mother fretted that I was losing too much weight.  Jackie went from over 200 pounds to less than a 00?  And mom and dad didn't notice????  She hid it?  

And her comment about her dad being proud or envious because she achieved what he couldn't, and her tone of voice when she said that was kind of bizarre.  Like SHE was proud that he was proud of that.  It bothered me.

I suspect that because her brother had special needs that she didn't get some of the attention she needed growing up, which is not uncommon in scenarios like that.  Her father's weight obsession probably didn't help.  But it is never as simple as that.   Clearly there is much more to Jackie's story than we are getting.  Whatever life she was weaving for the show isn't holding up.

I am trying to figure out why Dr. Bill would want to be filmed, ever.

He seemingly has a thriving and respected practice.

I doubt he would need the publicity from a reality TV show to maintain that practice. No doubt it helps, but not needed. 

Considering the embarrassing and at times vulgar interactions with his wife and others, I can not fathom why he agrees to filming. He doesn't seem to be the attention whore that Joey G and Big Frank Catania are. I like Bill. I like the gentle demeanor he has or shows on TV at least.

Coco is gone, but Chanel has become bizarre and untasteful - IMHO - I buy whatever suits me at the time and what I can afford, so there’s that.

This is a flashback to another side conversation on another show/board when one of the cast remembers only applied to a medical school outside of the states. One of the points of concern was how hard it could be to find a residency for someone who attended school outside of the traditional US medical school programs.

Do vets have a do a residency ?

Can't image a college turning off water at 10pm...

When I heard that I immediately thought, NOT going to bring my pets to her! Just what are the standards for outside the country vet schools? Be sure to check you pet's doctors credentials just as you do your own doctors!
