I love that Laura is back, like Elizabeth most of the time (especially with dumbass Esme-ha). I really can’t think of one more character that I like seeing pop up on my screen. That’s bad news for this soap.

Man, they totally psyched me out with Elizabeth. I really thought she was going to do a c-section on Esme. I mean given the really bad time she’s been having lately, I figured she just didn’t give a damn about protocol and was ready to do whatever it took to save the baby and by extension help Nic

Forgoing bonuses to keep a company afloat - if the company is struggling, why would bonuses be on the table.  

Elizabeth had me going there.  When she said there were signs of fetal distress, I thought maybe Esme was not faking it.  Elizabeth had Nikolas going, too.  This show rarely gets me laughing out loud, but when Esme stood up, suddenly just fine, it did.  

It seems like maybe show is trying to get us to start to like Esme, with her talking to "Ace," and smiling about the kicking.

I just don't understand why Elizabeth is getting involved with Nik on this.  She is 100% an accomplice to kidnapping now.  And 100% an accomplice to whatever ends up happening to a young pregnant woman.   She would end up in prison in real life.  So this story just doesn't make sense to me.  I don't buy that she would do this.  She's a single mom.  It makes zero sense and it's really annoying.

Nikolas only slept with Esme once and he’s regretted that shit ever since. It’s the Laura in him that’s starting to make him feel paternal towards the baby. I need his cassadine side that locked Esme up in the first place to override that and get rid of the baby and Esme. Wyndemere has plenty of stairs for her to be thrown down or a second fall off the parapet will do.

I wonder if Nikolas' fractured relationship with Spencer is driving him towards wanting a "do-over" kid, avoiding the hard work of reconciling with the kid he already has. At least, that's the angle I would go for if I were writing this story.

Given their long history, I thought it would make more sense for Holly to have shot Anna rather than Lucy.  And Anna, who had a vest on, could be hiding out, pretending to be dead.  But then you wouldn't get the prison break with Dex getting shot.

Robert setting a trap for Holly was evident but I enjoy having them, Mac, Felicia, Laura and Victor involved together too much to complain. Had Martin and Cyrus gotten into to it, I would’ve been in nostalgia heaven. (I first became a fan of Jeff Kober through his work on China Beach circa 1988.)

I hope Britt gets some answers. If KT has to go, I wish for her character to find out it was all a mistake and be off having tons of fun around the world. Her and whoever RH is now, is a sadly missed pairing.

Regarding the Nik/Esme/Liz plot - I hate it with (as TWoPers used to say) the strength of a 1000 suns. It creepy, gross and makes no sense.

Sam is one to sneer about someone having a juvenile record. Her life isn't exactly spotless.

What is the bond between Felicia and Maxie that Mac thinks he missed out on? Maxie, Georgie, and Robin all consider Mac their father. He doesn't need a biological link for that. And anyway, Cody isn't a little boy, so the childhood bonding stuff is gone forever. The relationship Mac and Cody might have is going to be necessarily different. 

Ugh, I hate this. The show has been so good about Mac's parenting up to now. It's gross this is coming up, even more so that it's because Cody is a possible son. How would Mac react if he were another possible daughter? I doubt it would be similar.

I can buy it.  Liz has always been willing to get her hands dirty when it involves Nikolas.  She also has no problem doing shady stuff like with the whole Drew/"Jake"/Jason thing a few years ago.

I do find it odd that they are throwing her into this story right when they're in the middle of the Finn/Jeff/Reiko story.

It's the biological bond he wants.  Genetics are very important to many people.  Also, he wants the father/son bond the way Felicia has the mother/daughter bond.

I hate Busybody Nina. Just when she had become a likeable character, they turn her into someone who can’t wait to spread unfounded gossip followed by handwringing about how she shouldn’t have said anything and probably misinterpreted anyway! Ugh. 

Based on Willow’s recent comment about Harmony taking her secret to her grave without even telling Carly, I’m assuming she will learn that Carly did, in fact, know about her parentage and then what? Will she and Michael both turn against Carly? Or will he side with his mother and this becomes the wedge that drives the perfect couple apart? If I were writing the show, Willow would die a quick and painful death and this would all be forgotten, but alas.

One of the best parts of the show was Austin getting Britt a dementia specialist to help her. It sucks that they've stuck her with creepy Cody.

Sam "I know a con when I see it". And yet she folds when Cody hints that there is something about Dante's past. What could be so bad from his childhood to tarnish his decades of being a good cop. You've been played, Sam.

Just once.  Nik said he wanted another child and was used to be a single dad.  Esme is evil, so he'll get custody.  So he's just seeing an opportunity.

Yes.  Sam told them that according to the jewelry section of the will, the necklace that Britt has is part of Leopold's collection.  the question is whether Faison stole it which is how it got into Peter's possesion or if it was sold to Faison, making it Britt's legal possession as his heir.  Sam was still looking into a possible sale.  

The bigger question is what is the verbiage of Leo'pold's will?  Does it say his heirs will inherit or does it list specific heirs?  He took Cody from Dom to give to the Bells to raise as their own, which means he wanted nothing to do with Cody.  So even if Cody could prove that he's Taub's son, he wouldn't necessarily get anything from the will.  Even though Cody has zero proof that he's Taub's son.  Dom could have been sleeping around.  Just sayin'!!

Eh, who are we kidding, people come out of the woodwork all the time to get a piece of the Q pie and they do, so I doubt this will be any different.

I knew as soon as Robert said, out loud:  'text me the coordinates of the safe house' that he was going to leave his phone behind, deliberately so that Holly would sneak a peak and then tell Victor where Anna was hiding out.  There was a brief moment when they did the actual fakeout, when VAnna heard noise outside then we see all the cops outside a house, but I've seen that play out often enough that it was just a brief moment before I knew they would bang down the door and it wouldn't be wear VAnna were staying.

Emma was only staying a month, and I think it's been that long, so I'm guessing Holly will fess up to Robert, that she did it to protect him and Ethan and Robert will put her in witness protection somewhere away from Victor.

Question of the day, If both Robert and Laura know that deputy mayor is in Victor's pocket, why hasn't she been fired yet?  Unless they want to use her to send fake messages to Victor, I don't see why her butt hasn't been dealt with yet.

Yes, sort of.  He's more interested in the necklace than her, though.  I believe since her HD symptoms are coming on so quickly that that will be her exit ramp.

Huntingdon's.  Hodgkins is treatable and you can go into remission but Huntingdon's is a road to helplessness and death. (Also Willow has taken the cancer storyline slot.)

I understand where Liz is coming from.  She trusts Nik not to actually abuse Esme, especially because he wants to protect his child. She is very protective of her children and she knows that Esme posted the sex tape that hurt her son's life. And if she does turn Nik in, Esme will spend the rest of the pregnancy in jail, not exactly the best place for a pregnancy.

So while Liz wrong to go along with Nik because it's a stupid plan and bound to backfire, I don't think it's a horrible thing to do.

Also, Elizabeth is an experienced nurse and has had children herself, so she's better than no care at all. 

I know Esme has done bad things but I'm sure she and Laura could eventually bond over their treatment while carrying a Cassadine child.

I just can’t be bothered to care at all about Esme. I’m happy Nikolas has her locked up. It was nice to see her outsmarted for once. And I don’t care that Liz is keeping Nik’s secret. I wouldn’t care if Esme and her baby died. The character is completely pointless IMO. And, yes, I know many characters could be deemed pointless on this show, but she tops the list for me right now. 
 
Esme has been on for more than a year at this point, and she’s still pretty much a mystery to me. All we know is she does her dad’s bidding. Why? Who knows? We don’t know her personal dreams and desires. We don’t know if she wants a baby or just plans to use her baby to further whatever plan Ryan has. We don’t know if she ever cared about Spence! 🙄 We don’t know why she filmed Caoss and released it. What was that about? Because Josslyn was mean to her? Is that it? Why did she torch Ava’s car? What was the point of that? Why was she jealous of Trina when she didn’t even hesitate to sleep with Spencer’s dad?!?! Was it ego? What is motivating her in all this? Just to know her dad? That’s it?! That’s not enough for me. 

Esme is in cartoon villain, one-note category for so I find it difficult to care about what happens to her. She has no layers and is not entertaining to me on any level so I just want her gone. Nikolas doesn’t need a baby and he certainly doesn’t need one with pointless Esme.

I agree with everything you wrote about Esme. And it is too bad, because they do have a good young actor and possibly an interesting character but they have wasted it all with pointless storylines and bad writing.
