Yes!!!  I use to hate Kate until I met Hannah, and now there is no comparison.  Ouch.  And for me, there is absolutely no comparison to Captain Lee and Sandy.  Double ouch.  I read where people are speculating that Captain Lee went "Hollywood" and I hope not.  I really do.  I don't really mind considering him the stud of the sea, as long as he is one :)

I know, Kate can come across strong and bitchy but that's what it takes to do the job, Hannah is a whiny ass and cannot lead. There is no comparison between the two and I am ready for Kate's lovely centerpieces and beach picnics. Captain Lee expects this from Kate, he has other stuff to deal with and he doesn't have time for bullshit. I hope he didn't go hollywood either, he's so cool.

Happy to see so many Kate fans. She’s the snarkiest person every but also has a sense of humor. I absolutely love her. I hope th ere’s a crazy Carolinesque stew for Kate to rip on. Stupid stupid girl to telling Kate she doesn’t like ironing. Now Kaye will def put her on laundry.

found her:
Ode To Courtney

Courtney doesnt like servitude Better change her attitude
To Kate she better not be rude.
She just might find herself unstewed

Tanner must have wandered over from the Jersey Shore set, spouting acronyms

Kate has a third stew who evidently doesn’t know how to iron. I’m already thinking that relationship won’t end up well.

Who is that crew guy with the great body. I know. I’m shallow right now...and drooling.

Which one??  Tanner or Brian??  Tanner is the guy from Long Island and has the hots for Kate and Brian is from South Africa, and has a daughter.

Kate is correct in saying that this is definitely the hottest crew ever on Below Deck.  They are all giving us a lot of eye candy.  So that, plus the scenery porn, Captain Lee and Kate - this is already about 1,000,000 times better than Below Deck Med.

I'm sure as the season progresses, someone (or more than one someone) will become an asshole, but so far, I'm liking most of this crew.  Something tells me I'm not going to like Chef Kevin, although I don't think I'll dislike him as much as I disliked Chef Leon.

Looking forward to Monday nights!!!!

So happy my favorite bravoleb, Kate, is back.

I’m not entirely convinced Ashton is bosun ready.

Captain Lee has had a rough past few months.  He lost his son to a drug overdose.  I’m not sure he’s in a “go Hollywood” frame of mind.  I think he enjoys the perks that the show brings him, but I don’t think he craves camera time like Sandy.

Captain Lee lost his son at the end of July. I’m almost positive that the season was filmed well before then.

Lmao at the chef with diarrhea and constant shots in between to food  that resembles diarrhea, being mixed and poured. What can i say? I've got a pretty simple sense of humor 😝

And the moaning and commentary from the restroom! Oh jeeze!! TV gold.

Serious note: I hope he wasn't contagious or feverish.

I didn't catch that until I saw the scene of him in the bathroom immediately followed by the Nespresso machine brewing, well, coffee aka brown liquid lol. Interesting editing, indeed...

Here we go. We've got 2 green stews, one of whom right off the bat lets us know she's a spoiled princess who doesn't like to work. That should  go over well with Kate, who by the way is also my favorite Bravo star. And neither of them like doing service, which is actually the job, right? Who picks the crew? Gotta be production

Such a relief to have Capt Lee back after that season of fame ho Sandy who got more irritating each episode. Capt Lee gets the job. Drive the boat and don't babysit the crew, or creep around spying on them or interject yourself at every possible opportunity.

Thailand looks amazing and looking forward to seeing more of it.

I'm not sure Ashton is up to bosun. Time will tell. And oh yeah Ashton - don't mess with Kate!

I am not impressed with the food so far, and who in the world wants to hear anyone, especially the chef exploding on the toilet? Editors: give us a break ffs.

Well Kate and the new chef are off to a good start....not.

All because he wanted to do family style for the first lunch.

OK, so she thinks it's bullshit.

But you suck it up and serve.

Someone thinks her shit doesn't stink.  Well maybe not in comparison to this chef.  How do both BD and BDM chefs have stomach problems as they arrive on the boats?

Courtney is the bitchy one, would rather be served than doing the serving.  Well guess what you signed up for princess.  Could be worse, if you didn't know how to make drinks, you might be washing more toilets.

Simone says she wants to learn all aspects of being a yacht stew.  Let's see if that's for real or not.  I would think she'd want to do some service, not be stuck doing laundry, ironing and cleaning the rooms all the time.  But Kate buried the second stew there because she wanted to be around her teacher's pet all last season.

I’m neither a Kate nor Hannah fan because they can both be bullies. Kate seems to have a good team this season, so let’s see who she decides to hate on this season. Simone said that only 0.02% of people in yachting are people of color, that’s sad. She seems to enjoy her job and is not just there for the money. This new chef seems to be a perfectionist, which will definitely drive Kate crazy. I’m glad Ashton is back as bosun, I hope he does a good job.

Simone at least said she’s willing to learn so that she can improve. The princess is the one who’s just there to pay off her student loans and nothing else.

Capt.  Sandy:  Pay attention.  This is how to be a captain.

In all of the years that we've watched Captain Lee, have we ever seen him tell anyone on his crew that he didn't think they could make yachting as a career despite knowing that the person really wanted to make it a career?  We've seen Sandy do this and it is beyond crossing the line.  Even when Captain Lee fires people, he doesn't try to make them feel worse about their situation.  Nor does he display preference for one sex over the other in terms of his crew.  Sandy's entire approach towards the female crew vs. the male crew is awful.  June was justifiably upset and crying and Sandy could've cared less.  Male crew members fail at their jobs and embarrass the boat....and they get a hug and "I love you".

I truly can't stand Sandy.  The captain should not have a storyline on the boat.

I don't see Captain Lee "going Hollywood" on the show or off the show.  I assumed that the comments about him "going Hollywood" are in reference to their off-camera time.  Sandy has moved LA, is dating an entertainer and jumps at any chance she can to be on camera for Bravo.

After the whole Hannah/tablescape debacle, I noticed that Kate had beautiful flowers in each guest's room, several tasteful vases of them in the lounge, and at least some on the dining table, although they didn't show it much. She also offered each guest a flower lei when they came aboard and there were flower petals scattered on the champagne trays. Hannah, time to study and take notes!

Mila took his crown away from him. He’s now the second worst.

Only if you consider Mila a real chef.

So there are two crew members on board that are not part of the Below Decks cast?  I haven't been watching the show(s) up until last year although I have caught up on past seasons, but I had never seen the engineer and whomever that other person was until Captain Lee showed them last night.  Is that unusual or have I just missed those episodes?

No because it's none of his business. He only cares if you're doing a good job while you're on the ship. If you seek him out for advice about developing a yacht career, he'll likely give you advice. Meanwhile, Oprah of the Ocean (Sandy) is always giving career advice when nobody asked for it.* I think the closest Lee has come to this is Connie and Leon. He did say that Connie had a future in the industry when he offered her a spot after filming wrapped and Lee challenged why Leon wouldn't want to try his best.

*Iyanla of the Ocean also works.

It's always been this way except for season 1 and BD: Med season 1. The first mate and engineer are always introduced in the first episode and rarely seen again on camera. The reason why season 1 of both shows is a little different is because Aleks and Bryan were experienced yacht captains. Aleks was originally hired to be the captain for the show. The owner wanted to keep his original captain, Lee. Season 1 has two first mates, Aleks and the other guy. Med had a similar issue and for whatever reason Captain Mark didn't seem to think his first mate was especially competent. Mark does talk shit about the first mate on more than one occasion.

Egineer and first officer. They are the ones who actually know how to run the boat I assume. They have been introduced to the crew before.

Why did Kate get two loser stews? Even I can’t blame her for being a bitch.

The chef looks like a hard worker and very organized. Who the hell is Kate to tell him what to do? Just say no I don’t have a label maker not that he shouldn’t be organized.

Still and all he seems much better than Ben who is really full of shit.

I read that they did not invite Josiah back. This is proof that the producers prefer to torture Kate with inept stews for drama. They could have given her one seasoned competent stew. I don't enjoy drama derived from people not being able to do their jobs. Just give us people with overblown egos that know how to do their jobs well.  That's the drama I can get behind.

I know Kate is beloved, but there's this weird narrative that acts like Hannah is incapable of doing anything to a similar standard as Kate. First, Kate has only done the leis since they've departed from the Caribbean. She didn't do that for seasons 2 - 5. In seasons 1 and 2 of Med, fresh flowers were routinely shown in multiple provision deliveries. The reason why season 2 is important is because Sirocco was the season 2 yacht. There are many scenes with vases of fresh flowers all over the ship including the guest cabins and the table settings. The yacht owner took almost all of the decor and vases for season 4 of BD: Med. He seems to have left only the orchids and that party city crap.

I can't get past the walls of hair, which were present on some of the women while they were working hard outdoors in a very hot climate as well as during food service. Yuck.

Yes, yes yes, The hair. How does this deckhand Abbi not put her hair up off her neck while she is working?  I can never fathom that. Obviously having the cameras there is too much . After all this time, Kate throws her hair up and thats it. Comes down for talking heads but when she is working, up it goes.

Seriously! So much stringy/sweaty hair flowing, which I’m willing to bet half which is weaves anyway; maybe it was different back in my own food service days, but big/long hair worn down was NOT allowed. Ponytail and bun it up, ladies; of course, we obviously weren’t filming for TV either, so I get it. This crew is supposed to be “hot,” but they just looked far more uncomfortable than they should’ve been thanks to those sweaty locks all out.

I can already tell I’m going to hate Courtney since she’s obviously playing up the entitled millennial schtick, grating vocal fry included. Most certainly she auditioned for this show just for exposure and the producers knew she’d instantly clash with Kate.

Always had a love/hate thing with Kate, but she typically does her job so well that I can respect her bitchiness. She may look years older than she should, but she’s proof that her gig is better suited for younger folks and often has a short shelf life.

I heart Captain Lee. This show just ain’t the same without him. Captain Sandy kinda sucks.

I only started watching this show again this past season thanks to Chef Ben’s return, so I’m already missing his snarky presence. This bland chef is once again leaving me miss Ben’s sarcastic quips.

The other dudes seem okay so far. I’m trying to figure out which one is this season’s designated drunken douchewaffle mess.

And FINALLY, a black crew member!

The scenery is absolutely breathtaking so far. It’s always been a dream of mine to travel to that area, hence my jumping back onto this series after quitting post S2.
