I only watched the hour long preview and haven't seen the whole show yet......

Rebecca and greasy Rasputin- He is gross .  She is desperate; is she Angela's other other daughter?  She needs to be single for 5 seconds and get some professional help as to why she has 3 failed marriages and is obsessively jumping into her next one.

Tim- I can't believe he has a daughter, b/c I can't believe a woman would willingly have sex with him.  He completely comes across as gay and not fabulous to me.

TLC should not encourage Darcy.  Now all the other losers from this show will think they will have a chance to be on again with a new international love.  Her poor daughters.

Not Tim's biological daughter. Or you pointing the sex and daughter thing out as two separate events? In that, Tim has acted as a father so he has a daughter and you can't believe the girls mom had sex with him.

;-D

Darcy and her sister would make an excellent pair of garden gnomes

Oh sorry!  I only saw the preview and will watch the rest tomorrow so I didn't see the part where it's not his biological daughter.  I still can't believe a woman would willingly have sex with him; he's very odd looking.

No need for sorry. Ain't my tv show. 😉

In other news.... people like rebecca are pulling a bit of their own scams with the filter nonsense.

Why don't Caesar & Nicole hook up?

Pretty sure poor Caesar is in the low 90 range. He's a bit 'off'. Looks like he's actually the only one in this whole 90 day shit show galaxy of morons that I'm gonna feel sorry for. Love how his boss gave him a good, 'wtf's wrong with you dude" talking to.

I will begin the roasting with Avery, a freshly baked Muslim with a still uncooked center.

Normally, I would dismiss the fears that she might join ISIS as irrational, borderline racist poppycock from her family members.

But after watching the whole segments, I'm utterly convinced that she has the perfect combination of traits that would make her an easy and enthusiastic recruit for the next terrorist cell or organized crime enterprise that half-ass try to lure her. Or a hostage. She's absolutely daft enough for this. Romanticizing living in a war-torn country, lacking any forethought or planning, and longing for an iron rule upon her life, she's a perfect mark.

For some reason she seems to crave the tight swaddle of authoritarian structure. Well... she does, for now. It's the flavor of the moment. Did she yearn for the Muslim faith, or to surrender her daily decision making in a misguided search for utopia? "Something to keep me in line and on the right path" were her exact words. To this end, she now adheres to a rigid set of instructions of what to eat, how to dress, when to pray, etc. No dating in Islam! No kissing before marriage!

She tried to cajole her family into learning Arabic - a preposterous request. They may learn a few words for fun, but it's not her business to make this request. "You guys can deal with what I do," she hisses to her family, as she is keeping secret that he already proposed and she is flying to Lebanon to marry him and move to Syria.

Why is her mother indulging her recklessness by accompanying her to Lebanon? Since Avery needs structure so much, why not give her what she needs and coerce her to wait a 5 year cool off period before marrying this guy? He proposed without meeting her, a huge red flag she refuses to reckon.

I eyerolled pretty hard at the "King & Queen" texts. People really fall for this nonsense? She was really gobbling it up.

She reminded me of a friend of mine with her quick changes of philosophy and religion. While a nominal Christian, she decided that when she got old enough (we were teens at the time) she would convert to Catholicism. She liked the pomp and circumstance as well as the  tighter controls she perceived existed.

A few years later, that was discarded after having been practiced a couple of years. I think there was a period of vegetarianism as well.

Now it's Eastern religions. She seems so like Avery. Avery especially has a flair for the exotic - if there isn't some sense of mystery or the forbidden, she's not interested.

Unfortunately, it seems her parents think because she's 19, they are helpless. I also get a sense that they have experienced what happens when they crack down. She probably just digs her heels in deeper, and of course, no one is smarter than she is.

Sorry, y'all, I found Caesar oddly endearing. Obviously we've had plenty of wolves in sheep's clothing on this show who turn out to be total pricks, but so far this guy is likeable for me. I would not in a million years have guessed that he worked in a nail salon. I'd love it if my husband could do my manicures for free. I wonder how much he makes in a year to be sending her $800 a month. That's rent for a lot of people.

...But yeah. He's being scammed big time. I felt bad when his face visibly WOMP WOMPed when the producer asked him if he thought she was sending videos to other men.

My husband and I thought the same about him being a good guy.  It’s hard to watch the scam being pulled on him.

What I wonder about in so many of these catfish situations is whether the victim is somewhat culpable because he or she insists on trying to pursue a relationship with someone who’s supposed to be a model.  Some of these folks seem really lonely, but it’s hard to imagine that there’s no one who’s normal looking many of them could find love with if they were open to it.

Forgive me, I’m thinking “out loud” while I’m on the elliptical, so I might have more coherent thoughts later, lol.

Caesar looks like if Ray Allen fell on hard times and he has the personality of Zach Galifianakis’  “twin brother,” Seth. If he has an extra 800 bucks every month, I think I have been seriously under tipping my nail techs.

I’ll be willing to bet that Avery converted to Islam because she had a crush on her Muslim coworker.

I'm thinking that's about $40 dollars a day!  Eight customers. $5.00 each a day.  But I forgot he's working seven days a week so maybe it's tips he sends her!I

Caesar reminds me of those people on Dr Phil that are being catfished into sending hundreds of thousands of dollars.  Even when he proves the evil they refuse to believe it!  It's a great scam and you never hear about pay backs of filing charges.

Avery loves the attention her being anything brings her!

I don't think small shoulder guy was ever married to the ex fiance!

Darcy...I just can't!  This will be a long season.

Avery seems to me like someone who just wants to do something to be different. IDK why but that is the gut feeling I get that this is her version of attention seeking behaviour. She seems to enjoy the attention of becoming Muslim more than it being a religious awakening but I will continue to watch and see, maybe I am wrong.

Caesar is being played and for some reason I feel bad for him even though it is his fault for needing to land someone outside his league looks wise. IDK he just seems naturally vulnerable or something?

Darcy is back on with all the makeup. Just toss the lashes ladies you look so much better without them (I recently saw a Chantel preview without the lashes and eyeshadow and was damn she is good looking but the makeup lessens her looks not improves them).  While Darcy is not as hot as Chantel she is much better looking with more natural makeup. I would think Darcy could find a younger man in the US but maybe she enjoys the distance, you get to have a boyfriend but your life too. I can see the appeal of that. Also I am sure she likes the TLC pay.

Can't help but wonder how many men Maria has on the hook.  With just a couple of Caesars she can live like a queen.

I don't understand why Avery's parents are just sitting there looking shell shock.  Surely, there has to be something they can do to stop her.

Avery's story line is shades of Nicole/Azan.  Nicole's mother has half-heartedly tried to knock some sense into her but yet continues to enable her delusions.

This is a great new-ish (Darcy/Stacy) crop of dimwits, but it's going to be hard to watch the Cesar story line.  Poor dude works REALLY HARD to export his paycheck for nothing in return.

This show has a similar effect on me that Hoarders does - reinforces my conviction that I WILL NEVER GET LIKE THAT.

I noticed this also. I know he's after a woman above his league but other than that he seems like a nice, hard working guy.

Why isn't he pursuing local women? Where are his family members? His friends? His support system? Everyone else had their family members on this episode, I think. I really hope he isn't all alone because I fear this relationship will end badly.

And $800 a month? With all those riches in the Ukraine, she could have saved enough for her plane ticket to Mexico.

Also, the filter woman, she is attractive, she doesn't need the filters! I love her hair color.

I suspect that Caesar's friends and family are embarrassed by the whole thing, and don't want to be associated with it.

This is my initial reaction to the cast this season:

Rebecca (Private investigator), some people love the chase and once they get their catch, they aren't happy.  The more risks, the happier they are.  Even her kids know it. This man that she is crazy about looks scary, imo.

Cesar (nail tech).  At first, I thought this must be a bad joke by him....but, I think it's just a really bad, sad situation.  But, he may never be convinced.

Darcy (repeat offender) No matter where you go.....there you are.  That sums it up with her.

Tom or is it Timothy(self proclaimed successful man).  When you put that much emphasis on looks and material things in life.....you may struggle to find a genuine person.

Avery (impressionable, naive teen).  It's sad, but, I doubt much will teach her anything about reality, with the exception of getting into a very dicey situation and getting scared to death.  I don't think she reads as much as she pretends or that she has educated herself about the reality of an American living in Syria.

Is it legal for someone who is not law enforcement to place a tracking device on someone else’s car?  Or does she just enjoy the thrill and not care about the consequences?

I don’t feel bad for Cesar salad. He could go right down the street to the nearest church and find a good woman who’s also a great mom. She’d probably be 15lbs overweight, tired a lot from working hard so not in the mood to send half naked selfies all day, and not “Instagram ready” though. His shallow ass wants a model with the personality of a microwaved potato. So let him get played! Tired of people feeling bad for these fools that obviously only care about looks. Sorry, may be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think you can fall in love with someone you’ve never met. Friends? Yes. Lust? Yeah sure. In love? Nope. You’re in love with the idea of them. True love requires face time (not the iPhone kind), in person. Caesar salad is seemingly sweet, but shallow as they come. Hope that Ukrainian takes him for all she can get.

Oh I just get annoyed at people who are so completely delusional and so easily scammed.  One look at her pics and all you see is "cam girl" and "porn chick".  Not "soulmate".

She seems to be tracking cheating spouses, so if the spouse who hired her was the owner or part-owner of the vehicle, it would be legal.

What in the world are the producers thinking with her? One more season with her scream crying, shoe throwing, storming out of cabs, etc...at this point it is manipulating a mentally unstable woman, feeding in to her delusions.  Also, her endless prattering on about Jesse and his wanting to go to counciling for their phony relationship.

What is in it for British Tom, who by the way he made me laugh with his sending a car to pick her up because she should be washed before she goes to his tent.

I remember an episode of Seinfeld about how a ride to the airport too soon in a relationship sets a precedent and then he would always have to make airport runs, I guess he is not as invested in this relationship as much as Darcy is.

omg I loved this show.

I love all the comments here.

I honestly do feel sorry for Cesar. That is just painful and he really does seem like a nice guy. You can see his clients and his boss and coworkers like him and care about him.

I really find the  homecoming queen new Muslim girl the most fun to watch, I particularly like her knit caps to cover her hair for modesty but she wears bright red lipstick and super tight clothing.  She is ready to go to war torn Syria for her beloved because Islam just speaks to her.

The PI I mean it just seems telling that although I think she is attractive (But what's up with her hair says Moi who has horrible hair) she uses filters on her photos and face time to her beloved. And she is not yet completely cleanly divorced from her 3rd hubby. Yeah sounds good to me.

I really didn't care for the fancy car guy or his Colombian Jennifer. (Is Jennifer even a name in Colombia??)

Darcy- entertaining but unfortunate that she now has her daughters on the show as well. She is a reality junky and good for her to get cast in all these shows. She is looking really rough around the edges though and I don't know that the injectables are working as promised.  (and where does she get the money for that?)

So very happy to have this forum here.

I've landed at Heathrow at 6 am. I keep some makeup in the bag, maybe a toothbrush, hairbrush, etc. Find a bathroom, wash your face and touch yourself up. If you fly a higher class, there is usually a nice lounge for you at the airport. Or you can rent a day room at a nearby hotel for a few hours (i.e. those flying to say, India, later on that day). Darcey being the international woman of mystery or whatever, should have those tools with her. Or tie her hair up in a ponytail or something.

Heathrow in particular has private lounges that any passenger can buy a pass to. I actually used one a couple of weeks ago and it was the best £40 I've ever spent. All kinds of delicious food, drinks, wifi, quiet spaces to relax, and for another £12 I got a private shower. I didn't want to leave!

Had Avery's family and friends considered her conversion sincere and legitimate, they might have been more successful in discouraging her from this foolishness with her fiance in Syria. As many of us said in the anticipation thread, there are many Muslim men in America. Why hasn't she looked for friends and a relationship here? She's in Columbus OH. The Ohio State University has 4,000 undergrad students who are Muslim. Were there no youth and social groups at the mosques in the area? Four hours north of her is one of the largest Muslim communities outside of the Muslim world in and around Detroit, Dearborn, and Ann Arbor. We're not talking about 5,000 or 10,000 individuals. We're talking 100,000 individuals.

Avery is such a textbook version of That Girl who's always getting into something and acting like it's her true identity, and then you ask her about it a year later and she's like "Mus-what? I'm a Pastafarian now, duh. And I work for PETA. Have you tried essential oils?"

That said, she did weakly mention that Omar's profile said he was in America, not Syria, so she may have at least attempted to date a Muslim closer to home first.

He likes Colombians because of their family values. Uh? Like Pao's? Where do guys get these ideas?

<snip>

Douche's moral code, by his own admission, is that you have to go all out to please hot chicks. But average chicks... they can be had on the cheap and with minimal effort. Kinda like what Zied is doing with Rebecca.

I am so done with the whole "X culture is unique because it has family values" trope. Like what do they think the rest of the world does? Every culture has family values. It's how cultures persist. Some may be more reserved or have smaller families or different traditions, but acting like one country is superior because they have an overtly demonstrative version of family is silly and frankly a bit racist.

I could also live without the "pretty girls are delicate birds who must eat rainbows and clouds and the rest of you can peck French fries off the sidewalk" mentality. It's a cousin to using some variation of "beautiful" to describe why a missing or murdered child is exceptionally tragic. Gee, I guess if Kyron Horman weren't cute we wouldn't even bother looking for him, right, guys??? In conclusion, this guy is dumb.

I was wondering that, too. Like @Gobi mentioned, it's probably legal if the tracker is the legal owner of the vehicle. (Maybe also the insurer?) Or it could be legal due to a loophole since privacy laws can be spotty in general.

Nothing prevents Muslim women who wear the hijab from wearing makeup or fashionable clothes. They're not supposed to show skin, as I understand it. But they don't have to wear a burlap sack.

Thank goodness for you guys this Monday. Heart is heavy after the most recent tragedies. What do y’all think Darcey’s main deal is? Arrested development? BPD? Any guesses? I know it’s not PC to play armchair psychologist, but she is putting it all our there for our speculation afterall.  A co worker seems to think her unhinged messiness stems from some sorta shallow existential crisis. She is completely unrecognizable since she first graced my screen. I honestly think she does zero self improvement other than looks. Doesn’t seem to exercise either, judging from her lack of muscle tone. The endorphins would benefit her crying jags a lot imo.

She seems to want to take the easy street with that and lay back and let a machine work her abs for her. Why bother with putting in actual effort in self improvement when you can pay someone to do it for you I guess? I bet her biggest role model is a Kardashian. The way she talks to her kids about her personal life, as if she is their friend or confidant and not their mother, was odd to watch. I think she needs the right cocktail of mood stabilizers and intensive therapy. So sad. Not even fun to watch.

Another middle aged Disney princess searching for Charming. Got news for these broads, Charming ain’t living in a castle waiting for an overweight, middle aged woman to rescue. Sorry. He’s not. Actually the type of Prince these chicks need is an average Joe with a good job, decent house, and a paid off vehicle! That’s a prince to me!

Darcy has said both with Jesse and now with Tom....she hopes on this trip the guy proposes.  As simple as that, that's what she wants.

Of course, she means that...she lands an ideal guy and then have an ideal trouble-free life.  But it drives me nuts, when I think,.. it sounds like is she would be willing to get married and THEN see if the relationship will work out.

We all know the ideal doesn't happen on this show, and practically none 'work out' either.

I think this is one you don’t have to put a lot of thought into. Darcy simply had to find a new overseas guy quickly so she could stay on this show. So she quickly went with a guy that she already knew and could have dated a couple times ago. Her main deal is a need for attention, and appearances trump all else. She doesn’t realize that it has the opposite effect and she just looks desperate.  Her personality is partially a side effect of a string of bad decision making and reaping the seeds she sowed with delusion. She is also immature, insecure and overly emotional, and if she made better decisions she would have less to cry about.

I don’t see that guy as a match for her at all. She probably went with him more out of desperation and if she could have dated him before and didn’t, there was probably a reason.
