In lots of the talking heads with Robyn, she is wearing some pendant which my hubby thought was a Jewish Star. Has anyone else noticed it and, I couldn't get a good look at it but I thought it might actually be a claddagh (which would make more sense) but it did look somewhat like a star of David. Anyone else? OH yea and Hubby keeps commenting on how much weight they have all gained. I thought they have always been about that size but he said--- no they are putting on weight. And he was talking about the females, not Tony! 🙂 I've noticed it too but I don't know what it means. Assume she ripped off the Star of David and turned it into some sister wives closet thing. They have all gained weight over the years but Christine is slimming down. Robyn is slimming down again too now that she's done making babies. All the girls and Tony and maybe even Mitch also appear to be putting on weight. Of course Maddie is on baby #2 so she doesn't really count. 2 Link to comment

When she popped up with that comment during the "Adult" sit-down, I had to wonder where the Brown Fambly $$ Committee was at during those negotiations. So Christine just gets to make an offer on a house, on her own, without any discussion from the other four? Like @bichonblitz said, she is now paying a mort on both the LV house and the Flag house, plus paid into property. Her financial status HAS to be precarious and a possible drain on the fambly resources. Also, did the BF$$C make any restrictions on renting the Flag house, like they have to be under a certain dollar amount so they don't run through every last dime they have somehow grifted out of thin air (ROBYN)? Been thinking about how they bought the Flag properties (two are owned out-right, the other two are mortgaged). I wonder if they structured the purchase that way so if the houses in LV don't net the money they were hoping for, they can try to sell two of the Flag properties to pay back any equity loan they took out to buy those properties. They will still own two properties and Kodouche has talked about sub-dividing anyway. Only problem with THAT scenario is the properties had been listed for a long time to begin with and now, who would really want to buy the lots adjacent to the Brown Fambly Circus? They must know now that their name is not golden in the real estate business. Welcome @speakingofpolygamy! Hope you can continue posting and enlightening the folks here. 4 Link to comment

I avert my eyes whenever Robyn's goiter is on display so I haven't seen the necklace clearly, mainly because this "expert" has it on a chain that is too long or too short for what she is wearing so it is competing with the neckline. Maybe all this time Robyn was saying jewry, not joory; it would go along with Kody's avoidance of bacon. Edited March 18, 2019 by deirdra 12 1 Link to comment

Meri mentioned that she borrowed that dress from a friend at the last minute. Perplexing, because she knew the hat was going to be black, so why didn't she have a dress of her own that would match (even Meri shouldn't find it hard to coordinate black to another color). I still am shaking my head over the wedgies! It really would not have been so bad if it had skimmed the body rather than plastered itself to her body. Say what you will about Janelle's dress but at least it was the right size - she wasn't cramming herself in like a sausage. 2 Link to comment

LMAO 😂 OH HELL YES , MANJAW ROBIN IS IN CHARGE . What she says GOES. No one ever laughs , he & the kids seems uncomfortable with each other all the time. His dance with Aspen was bizarro. Aspen is like a goofy minime of Christine. Meri looked HIDEOUS Well, maybe Robyn's 'wart' is her usual cold sore. Witch face, for sure on that one. Gawd, yes. Kootie's endless posing and just being gross with his stupid jokes, make me sick. Most people don't realize how much better they look if clothing fits properly. My "favorite" is the leggings that always look like they are straining not to break. Even those would not be as awful if they were sized up 1 (or 4) sizes. Think how much better Aspyn would have looked with just a few alterations and no back fat muffin top. 8 Link to comment

I didn't like Robyn's hair down with that hat but to be fair, I don't like her hair period. She ages herself a ton with that Lorretta Lynn do. Meri couldn't look edgy if Billy Idol himself dressed her. It took some real nerve to make the mother of the groom fix her hat the night before which by the way, didn't look good on her and didn't go with her dress. Just don't wear it. Speaking of mother of the groom, I think Kody is crushing on her. I think Kody has an actual personality disorder. Not sure which one but there is something wrong with that fella. bichonblitz March 18, 2019 Share March 18, 2019 What makes Meri think she's edgy? Is LulaNo for the edgy crowd? Maybe edgy Mariah told her she is. These people really do love themselves. I like the way Edgy Meri keeps all of them frustrated. Will she live in downtown Flag? Will she move with the rest of us? Why hasn't she found a rental yet? How long will she stay in Vegas? Is she quietly planning to leave us? I swear I think she gets a kick out of seeing them freak out over her holding her plans close to the vest. I'm enjoying the hell out of it! Obviously, her "Mormon modesty" standards are different. I don't think the dress would have been appropriate at a wedding for any size/age woman. Also at the reception, if I heard correctly, he said, "I'm sorry to say that we are sharing with you the wedding of the year." Huh? Popular Post LilWharveyGal March 18, 2019 Popular Post Share March 18, 2019 Here's the RECAP! Spoiler Previously on Blister Hives...The family looked at Flagstaff and questioned Meri's devotion to the move. Aspyn and Mitch got engaged. Kody realized that moving from LV meant not seeing his older kids. We start the episode with a flashback to Shelbi's phone call from the last episode. That was "One Week Earlier," apparently. In case you'd forgotten, Shelbi told them that their offer on Coyote Pass was accepted, which Kody proclaims, "a nail in that coffin." There's so much work to do now between finding rentals, selling the LV homes, and doing it all before school starts, that Kody says it gives him the 1,000 yard stare of fear. It's now, "Three Days Before Aspyn's Wedding." Kody gathers everybody to see if they're on track for the move. Christine's house already looks pared down. There's not a holiday decoration in sight. She has some super awesome news to share with everybody, and reiterates that after the wedding the family will only have a month to move in time for the younger kids to start school. The wives are assembled and Aspyn and Mitch walk in. Kody tells Mitch that, "you look like who you love," and Aspyn's hair looks redder than Kody's ever seen it before. On the couch, Janelle asks then if all the wives look alike. Kody says that's why he grew a beard, because his hair is so girly. That's an insult to girls everywhere, dude. Back in Christine's house, Aspyn is informed that they're meeting to talk about the Flagstaff move one last time before the wedding, because they know she doesn't want any talk about the move on her big day. She clarifies that she doesn't want them stressing about the move at the wedding. Kody tells us that Aspyn didn't want the family to move and feels betrayed. Uh, ok. Janelle says that Aspyn was never a "Look at me!" kid and it's interesting to see her wanting all the attention on her wedding day. Really, Janelle? Kody rambles about how in plural marriage the wedding day is not the bride's day. He is surprised when Aspyn tells him he's walking her down the aisle. He's excited...to have a few days to put aside the stress of the move. Give that man Father of The Year. Aspyn and Mitch depart and the meeting of the Brown brain trust commences. Apparently when they were in Flagstaff they looked for rentals but the market is very tight and they couldn't find anything. Instead, they decided to buy homes that they could turn around and rent out when they've built on their land at Coyote pass. Christine now informs the group that she made an offer on a house that was accepted. It's a 3 bedroom on 2.5 acres near their property. Robyn then tells everyone that she's found a 7 bedroom, 5.75 bath, 6800 sq. ft. house to rent but she hasn't seen it in person. Christine interviews that that's huge, but logical because all of Robyn's kids are moving with her. Meri interviews that it's crazy that Robyn rented a place without seeing it. Well, you did your hair and makeup without looking in a mirror, Meri, so same thing. Robyn tells us that she prayed for extra bedrooms and extra bathrooms. To whom, the big ATM in the sky? Janelle now shares that she found a furnished rental. Then there's talk about Meri wanting to live in downtown Flagstaff. Kody thinks that downtown living means an apartment or 2 bedroom house, and Meri's business takes more than 2 bedrooms. Meri's timeline is 2-3 months because she's going to help Mariah and Audrey move first. But she has looked at Flagstaff rentals and homes for sale and assures the family she's not just twiddling her thumbs. The family still feels like she's not on board and they're dragging her along. Second son Hunter is home for the wedding and Kody excited. Hunter is in his 3rd year at the Air Force Academy. Hunter and Christine discuss vehicle arrangements. Janelle instructs Gabriel to take some luggage out to the car. She tells us that he has good days and bad days regarding the move. Kody thinks Gabriel is "smoldering" inside. Well what are you doing about that, Father of The Year? He tells us he's just hoping the kids get happy a year or two after the move the way they did 2 years after the move to Vegas. Aah, hands-on parenting. Maddie tells us that a billion vehicles are being used for this trip because everyone's scattering in a different direction after the wedding. Kody adds that it'll be a waste of time to all drive together because then everyone's waiting for everyone. Sitting in a car, Janelle tells us she's waiting for Maddie and Axel but that not having to wait for everyone makes her jump for joy. I'd like to see that. Robyn tells us that Kody's always trying to get them to cut back on cars, but adds in a rather snippy tone that he always wants his own car too. Cut back? Heavenly ATM forbid! Kody tells us that his monogamist friends have asked him if he shouldn't rein in control of his wives more. Really? He tells them, "You don't understand, brother." After the break we're in Salt Lake City, or Sal Tlay Ka Siti if you're a Book of Mormon fan. It's rehearsal day and Aspyn is feeling good. Everything is done, and things feel "blissful" compared to Maddie's and Mykelti's weddings. She and Mitch are writing their own vows and have to refine them a bit. Aspyn tells us that she always thought she'd marry someone with a crazy family but she's got the loud, crazy family herself. Kody comes in with a slightly cross-eyed gentleman. This is Nathan, Kody's best friend and Meri's brother-in-law. He's going to officiate the wedding. Kody thinks Nathan is a religious genius. Unfortunately, Nathan has lost his voice. Maybe he put it in his utilikilt. Mitch shows Christine the marriage license and she gets a bit emotional. Mitch and Aspyn interview that Christine has been married for 20-some years and has never had this piece of paper herself. Christine thinks it would be super cool to have a marriage certificate and thinks it's stupid that she can't have one...as the camera pans over Robyn. Janelle says it's not important to her. Robyn gets weepy as she says it's a distraction from what's really real, the eternal marriage, and that it's unfortunate how it's imposed upon the family. The lady doth protest too much, methinks. Meri talks about the incorrect perception from both insiders and outsiders that the wife with the certificate is the one who's in charge. The other lady protesteth too much too. She knows of other plural families where none of the wives marry legally to avoid the appearance of one head wife. We flashback through the Meri divorce and Robyn marriage and adoption story. Christine asks Mitch if he feels like he's blended into the family and says they can be, "aggressively friendly." He agrees with that. We're now going to La Caille, the wedding venue. It's kind of faux European, like a little Epcot-y or Busch Gardens-y. A mob of Mitch's little nieces are flower girls and the ceremony will be in the vineyard. Silent, kilted Nathan leads the way as they rehearse the processional. Mitch and Aspyn practice kissing. Still one day before the wedding, and Janelle asks Aspyn if she's fine with the moms wearing hats. Aspyn politely replies that essentially she doesn't give a flying fedora. Flashback to the wives trying on hats with Hannah in Seattle. Hannah is now here with the finished hats that the wives haven't seen yet. Janelle's looks like a blue disc that perches over one temple. Robyn's is a wide brim in either black or dark navy. She asks if she can take it off for dancing. Meri's is a black poof with white flowers that does not meet her definition of edgy. She asks Hannah if they can work later on coming up with something else. Christine's hat is emerald green with a slight veil. She loves it. Then it's off to the rehearsal dinner which is a picnic in the mountains. Mitch tells us that his grandparents were polygamists but his parents weren't, but he has lots of older siblings hence the gaggle of flower girl nieces. Christine loves being back with the, "community." She talks to KC Donahue who is labeled, "extended family." On the couch, Kody tells us that they lost these close friendships when they moved to Vegas. Christine points out that the move to Flagstaff takes them even further away from Utah. At the dinner, someone asks Robyn something about the move. Aspyn jokingly says that she's not allowed to talk about it. She and Mitch join Silent Nathan to practice the handfasting ceremony, which they are doing instead of the ring exchange. Neither Mitch nor Aspyn think any of her siblings will live a polygamist life, and while the camera pans over all said siblings we see Tony with one burger in his hand and another on his plate. I kid you not. Mitch and Aspyn say plural marriage is definitely not happening for them. It's now the wedding day and Aspyn's still feeling good. It's also Father's Day. Aspyn and a still hoarse Nathan greet in the laundry room. Janelle tells us that she's experienced losing her voice before. Fascinating. Kody tells Truely that he needs her to eat healthy today, and interviews that if she doesn't eat enough or eats too much sugar she can get hyper or mean. "With kids, you have to watch their diets sometimes," says Father of the The Year. Kody then asks Truely if she wants him to do her hair the way Robyn taught him to do his. He interviews that he's been having a bad hair year. Truer words were never spoken! Maddie and Robyn apparently showed him how to do his hair with mousse, and he will do the same to Truely. Montage of all the girls getting hair and makeup. Kody and the guys are now heading to La Caille, where the honeymoon cottage is the, "locker room," for all the guys wearing kilts. Kody insists Mitch should go in first and carry Nathan across the threshold for practice. "Don't touch that sacred bed," Kody laughs when they're inside. Whoever described Kody as Michael Scott was right on! 1000 points to you! He is so awkwardly embarrassing. Kody even announces to the guys that he's ready to drop trou. Kody interviews that he thinks he's providing the groom with some needed mirth. At his own marriage to Janelle he felt like, "a three legged cat on a hot tin roof," because he was entering plural marriage. As the guys continue to get ready, Kody discusses what he's wearing under the kilt. Christine hilariously asks all the ladies if they're wearing bras under their dresses. "Women do that!" Kody insists. Back in the cabin, Kody has his kilt on but is shocked when it rides up when he bends over. He keeps asking if it's too tight, too high, if his sporran is ok, just sucking all the air out of the room. Meanwhile, Aspyn is prepping in another room and she's starting to get nervous about all the moving parts of the wedding. She told everyone that she was walking down the aisle at 4, but she knows how long it takes her family to do stuff so that was just a ruse and call time is actually 4:15. She gathers all the moms to help her get dressed. It's wedding time. The rectangular "arch" is up, as well as seating for 128 guests. Christine tells us the wedding was meant to be intimate but that there will be 400 people at the reception. Garrison was able to make it, and Janelle tells us this would have been the first time they weren't all together at a wedding if he'd been away. There's discussion of hats, as many of the female guests are sporting them. Meri is wearing a tight black dress with metallic gold...zebra stripes? Paint splotches? Even when I pause I can't tell. She worked with Hannah on a new hat from 10 pm til midnight, and the result is like a piece of black mesh plonked on her head. The wives discuss the hotness or notness of Kody in his kilt. Then the bagpipes start up and a gentleman I don't recognize walks Christine in, while Mitch escorts Hannah. The crowd of flower girls walk in, and Ariella tosses her entire basket. Kody, posing like Captain Morgan, is waiting for Aspyn. He thinks she looks like an angel. They are both weepy, and as they head out Truely carries the train. In the crowd, Hunter even looks a bit emotional. Aww. Everyone thinks everything is perfect and beautiful, but unfortunately Nathan's still awkwardly whispering. Kody wishes he could ask God for another miracle to fix Nathan's voice. God says sorry, delivering those last 3 bathrooms tapped Him out. The handfasting begins and the wives share their thoughts. Aspyn becomes a bit hyper and giggly when it's time for her vows. They are pronounced man and wife and share a kiss. Poor Mindy's standing out in the vineyard taking care of Ariella. As the family head away from the ceremony site, Kody toots his own horn regarding Truely's hair. That lucky girl now has stringy curls too! Father of The Year, I'm telling ya. It's family pitcher time. Luckily things seem to go smoothly and nobody freezes. Kody interviews that they'll have to build a big pavilion or something in Flagstaff to hold family gatherings. At dinner, he questions Logan about what he's drinking. Kody hasn't eaten all day and is excited to chow down. He says that Aspyn and Mitch have their 150 biggest fans here for them. Not 400? He also talks about them kissing. Now Christine's giving a speech about the couple being like a Norman Rockwell painting. Kody gets the mic and says that nothing is as special as getting a new son in the family. He thanks Mitch's parents for raising a king worthy of marrying his daughter. Now the party shifts to the empty atrium, which Kody tells us is a big glass house for plants. Everybody's killing time before Mitch and Aspyn show up, so Kody grabs Hannah and starts dancing. Then suddenly all the seats are full and Mr. and Mrs. Thompson are being announced. They woodenly but good-naturedly dance to Dream a Little Dream. Kody is sitting with his knees as wide as possible, and what does Meri have on her feet, hooves?! They end the dance with a dip and Truely covers her eyes. Somebody gives Kody the mic again and he announces, "I'm sorry to say we're sharing with you the wedding of the year!" Huh?? He dances a first dance with Aspyn. Next is cake cutting time. Aspyn tells us she didn't know if Mitch planned to smash it in her face or not. He feeds her a dainty bite while she shoves her piece on his mouth then kisses it off. Now it's time for all the Browns to dance. Christine tells us she has danced inappropriately with all the wives except Janelle, but reminds us that they don't, "go weird," otherwise. Aspyn tells us that the day went perfectly, and even though her first plan was to elope she's so happy she spent the day with all those people. They drive off...to their cottage which is on the same property. Next time...The LV homes must be sold now because the Browns have spent all their money on the land. Aspyn thinks they're running away from something and doesn't know what. Kody is secretly designing one house for his whole family. Ooh, that's going to go over well. 9 17 Link to comment

islandgal140 March 18, 2019 Share March 18, 2019 This shows how half-assedly (hey, if the Browns can make up and misuse words, so can I) I was watching this show. I was so deep into my game of Cookie Jam that I didn't even register what the mother of the brides were wearing. Meri's look from head to toe is an abomination. But I guess you can't expect people who peddle and wear Lularoe to have great taste or wardrobes. The dress is bad enough but beige wedge sandals, that are barely worthy of wear to lunch at your local Outback restaurant, with gold and black evening wearing? She doesn't own a single pair of black pumps or something? Aspyn never seems more like Christine's daughter than when she is acting all gushy about Mitch. 6 Link to comment

gingerella March 18, 2019 Share March 18, 2019 15 hours ago, Brutus Buckeye said: One house for the family in Flagstaff would make sense in a way. Dayton seems like a Brown household lifer, but six of the other nine kids that are moving there will be in HS by the time they get there. They said that Gabe, Gwendlyn and Aurora will be juniors, so Ysabel will be a sophomore while Breanna and Savannah will be freshmen. And they said they'd be living in rentals for that school year anyway while the house was being built. So by the time they get settled in this thing, that batch of kids will be on their way out the door. They will be down to just four kids, Dayton, Truely, Solomon and Ariella. Even if Robin pops out one more, there would be a 1:1 adult to kid ratio. They can design the house however they want, where each wife has her own wing with a locking door. Four houses would be tremendous overkill with only four or five kids going forward. yes but...the sister wives loathe each other so that wouldn't work... 2 1 Link to comment

tinderbox March 18, 2019 Share March 18, 2019 (edited) 1. The wedding and venue were beautiful. HAD to be pricey. 2. So, there was a ceremony, a dinner, and then a dessert reception with dancing. Right? Did the number of wedding guests grow as the day progressed? Some were invited to all three portions and others only to one or two? 3. Aspen is a pretty young woman and she made a beautiful bride albeit in an ill fitting wedding gown. Why in the world didn’t she/they pay to have it altered? 4. I was surprised at Aspyn’s immature reactions during her vows. I’m sure she was nervous but expected better from her. Kody said Aspen is his oldest daughter. How old is she? 5. I found the meeting with all the wives, about housing in Flagstaff, questionable. This is a family who supposedly prides themselves in making joint decisions about huge financial ventures . In fact, last week’s episode emphasized that they all needed to be on the same page regarding which of the two properties was purchased. It was a huge deal! FF to this week’s program, and the wives almost casually gather to report on what they’ve done INDIVIDUALLY with their OWN future Flagstaff residences. Huh? 6. Why is Robyn blessed with getting the giant rented “mansion”? How was Christine able to afford to purchase ANY house, considering she still had the LV mortgage to pay, plus payments on the new land in Flagstaff? Why did it seem they were surprised Meri wanted to live in the downtown area of a Flagstaff? Meri seemed almost enchanted with that area when she and Kody visited. Why question her about it? My point is, why were these developments a surprise to any of them IF it’s their practice to make joint decisions? 7. Meri is still a piece of work. She has always been an attention seeker. The reason she acts noncommittal and distance toward Kody and her sister wives is because she loves being the center of attention whenever possible. She’s like a child. She needs to be noticed and talked about, within the family, regardless if it’s positive or negative. She loves a reaction....any reaction. She thrives on it, imo. 8. I enjoyed seeing Logan, his girlfriend, and the other older boys. I realize they all live elsewhere and have their own lives to lead so it would have been nice to have had more of the episode focusing on them. Edited March 18, 2019 by tinderbox 11 Link to comment

winsomeone March 18, 2019 Share March 18, 2019 I wish someone would tell Christine to stifle it once in a while. Have never seen anyone who could talk non stop almost forever and never say one meaningful thing. And the hand movements to go along with it, and inappropriate giggles too. Sadly many of her girls have inherited her mannerisms I see. 15 Link to comment

Bucket March 18, 2019 Share March 18, 2019 As far as how they are affording this move. TLC is financing this. This is a popular show that brings them in a lot of money. They want to keep it going and keep it fresh. I have never doubted this or wondered how 'they' could afford it. I don't think they were totally responsible for the decision on which town either. Logistics of filming played a part. Christine is looking good. The others have gained weight; maybe Robin is the same. The children are husky too. 3 Link to comment
Bucket March 18, 2019 Share March 18, 2019 Robin is not getting it that a huge old house renting at the same price as a smaller on is a huge red flag. I bet it isn't well insulated and the heating bills will run high if the furnace even heats it well in the first place. 1 6 Link to comment

suzeecat March 18, 2019 Share March 18, 2019 (edited) I'm currently majorly stressing while trying to time the sale of my current home with the purchase of my new home, coordinating closing and occupancy dates, etc., etc. because Lord knows, my new home financing ain't gonna go through until the current mortgage is paid OFF. This polygamy stuff is looking more and more attractive to me. Seems like if I was married to Kody that I could just buy whatever house I want and leave the old one behind for someone else to dill with. The wedding venue and the bride were beautiful, and they were blessed with perfect weather. I wonder how many attendees got a glimpse of Kody's package while he was prancing and dancing in his too-short kilt. Because, we all know that he was loving the exposure. I always thought I was one of the rare few women who just can't pull off wearing a hat. I've found several kindred spirits in this episode. I held my breath when Christine grabbed the microphone, thinking "pleasedon'tsing, pleasedon'tsing". Edited March 18, 2019 by suzeecat additional thought 14 8 Link to comment

Seems like if I was married to Kody that I could just buy whatever house I want and leave the old one behind for someone else to dill with. What I don't get (among many other things to do with this fam'ly) is why - while they are RENTING - they couldn't have rented two homes to TEMPORARILY live in while their next set of mansions are being built? If Kody was having such a hairy canary about his precious children living in separate areas, why the crap couldn't Christine and her gang have bunked in Robyn's 7-bedroom mansion rental? Heck, there would've surely been room for ol' Mere in there somewhere as well - just give her the biggest bedroom so she can store her LLN crap. While I doubt the entire family could fit into Robyn's rental, it's insane that all four wives have to rent different homes in completely different areas of Flagstaff. It seems utterly preposterous that these four women HAVE TO LIVE SEPARATELY while their SEPARATE HOMES are being built so they can live SEPARATELY. Sorry for the CAPS but this drives me nuts. Of course, I know the real reason they can't all bunk with Robyn - it's because Robyn won't have it and Kody handed over his nuts to her. Sheesh, these people. 1 13 Link to comment

( I don't usually make fun of a person's size, but when you have a for profit business that you are the face of, and taking people's money, then you set yourself up for critic on your "strive." I can see her big white underwear through her skirt in this photo! And sorry, my 83 year old Grandmother wore a half inch heel to my wedding, I think you could have gone with something besides the black ballet flats with that dress. It looks like Meri got caught up in a silly string fight with that LLR dress. Your summer wedge casual sandles do not go with that dress. 5 5 Link to comment

We ended up renting it from the buyer, because our second house that we bought, had an elderly couple living in it, and it took less than a month for them to move to a retirement community. I'm with you on hats. I have a big head and it's hard to find hats that fit, so I go without. Mr. X hardly goes anywhere without a hat. He tells me that my head is big because I'm smart. Love hearing that! Now I'm wondering if the reason Aspyn kept laughing while reading her vows, had something to do with Christine sharing her supposed happy pills? She was probably just nervous. 6 Link to comment
