I heard Meghan's disdain for Steve Schmidt.  So she dislikes him why exactly? Because he admitted Palin was a horrific choice for VP?  Only in politics do you get chastised for telling the truth.

She dislikes him because he has rejected the Rep party in disgust.

I’m reading Michelle Obama’s book Becoming and in it she mentions her appearance in The View with Whoopi and Barbara and “other hosts.”  I recall Elisabeth was one of those “others” who later made some veiled  remarks.  FTR Michelle has nothing to say about Meghan.

We need to get a counter for every time Meghan brings up AOC. Whoopi was about to go in but had to cut to commercial. Meghan, AOC does not speak for every Democrat, stop saying she does. She is not our leader, she is a new kid on the block. I don’t know why she gets them so rattled but I say keep it up.

Why did Megan want to go to break so badly?

Trying to catch up on laundry while watching what exactly was Megan’s dig at Steve Schmidt?

i love Terry Crews   He was so wonderful on everybody hates Chris

Megan can learn a lot from Steve Schmidt who can love his party but  speak out against it when they are wrong about something. Megan's beef has to be with Steve's stint in her father's campaign in 2008.

3 segments, wow!  Is that a first?

I feel like the politicians always get multiple segments, but Malala only got one, cause we had to have a View your Deal. I really wish Malala could have gotten a second segment, cause she didn't really get to touch upon her views on Trump and refugees.

I really enjoyed Terry today on the show. When he talked about the R Kelly and saying that silence equals consent from the public I started clapping. I am STILL waiting for Jay Z and Beyoncé, who both have collaborated with R Kelly, to speak on this, and yet they continue their silence. They are like black royalty and their silence is deafening.

Abby isn't that much older than me, but she makes me feel old especially when she asked what a mortar and pestle is.

What made it funnier is that she said she always wanted to use one of those...at the time we thought she knew what it was.

did Meghan give any specific examples of men she has called unlikable?   Because I don't believe that she has said that about men.   I think she has said SHE doesn't like certain people.   there's a huge difference between "I don't like that person,"  and "that person is unlikable."   the first is a personal preference.  the second is saying that NOBODY likes the person.

Meghan mentioned Ted Cruz and Mitt Romney. Of course we have to take her word for it.

Especially after Kamala Harris answered MM's question on AOC yesterday.  She explained AOC is not a leader but her views are important to challenge the party to think about the status quo and what may/may not need to change.    She nodded and smiled in her face yesterday, but is back to her same old misinformed talking points today.    I don't know why she can't view AOC and other so called democratic socialists the way the she and most everyone else views the tea party republicans.  We all realize they don't represent the entire republican party.  They have their own agenda but they don't run the party.   Even though it's not really a fair comparison.  There are far s far more tea partiers in Congress than democratic socialists.

Oh, for FUCK'S SAKE! Someone needs to play that clip of hers when she was on Real Time, and telling Begala and Bill to stop saying that the recessions "was started under Bush" because, well, he was no longer president, Obama was. But then she'd probably get all splotchy if she sees how she was SCHOOLED by Begala, who exposed her UTTER IGNORANCE.

It would really help me to understand Meghan if I knew she was simply ignorant, or flat out lying.  I usually do not hold a person’s lack of education against them, but willful ignorance is a whole other ball game.

I  think it has to do with him talking to Halperin and Heilemann for Game Change. I haven't read it in forever but neither of her parents come off great and it talked a lot about their marriage.

It seems to me, and please correct me if I am wrong,  but isn't Meghan a family member of a failed presidential candidate?

Okay, I am almost ashamed at how HARD this made me laugh! I wish someone had enough balls to say that to her the next time she’s giving free “advice” to the Dems about winning. Her head would probably explode.

Terry Crewes is a national treasure.  He has amazing self-awareness, but more importantly, he worked hard to change his mindset and his behaviors.  I would have definitely enjoyed another segment, especially after reading about what a mess the cooking segment was.

I thought Megan was dressed very well today.  She's got great legs, and I found that dress style flattering.  I wish she could break her pencil skirt and tucked in blouse habit because it does nothing for her.  (And I am very qualified to judge fashion as I sit on the sofa wearing my 12 year old jeans and cat socks, all covered in cat hair.)

Whoopi needs to lose her job as the teleprompter reader because she just doesn't give a shit and reads the copy in such a manner.  I thought she was having a stroke as she was struggling through the R. Kelly disclaimer.

I think she is both ignorant and flat out lying.  Here is the clip of Meghan filleting Begala.

Excellent clip.  And it points out how ignorant Meghan is as well as how hypocritical.  Every other show she is blaming something on the predecessor, Obama!

I’m not aware of any Republican campaigns out to recruit her either

And the only reason she was given a vanity position on her father's campaign because she refused to get a real job and her parents didn't want to finance her post-college lifestyle.

Just watching now -  Meghan's appearance has changed quite a bit.  Her face is fuller, around her jawline (Lord I hope SHE is not pregnant!) and she suddenly looks older - like in her 40's.

She is too shrill, talks too fast, and is just downright MEAN.  She scolded the audience for something someone shouted out, which comes across on TV  as her being a total bitch.   What comes across to me, more than anything, is that Meghan seems to be very unhappy at this job.

I just tried to watch it myself, but I had to turn it off when Meghan started her raptor screech. She is absolutely unwatchable.

Terry Crews  was great.  I remember when he was MOCKED for calling out the agent for molesting him - he was mocked by 50 Cent, I can't recall who else.    Crews testified in order to make the point that women who are molested feel helpless to stop it, saying if a big guy like him feels he cannot stop unwanted touching, how can a woman be expected to.  The fact that he was mocked for "complaining"  about the incident added to his point.  You're expected to just shut up and tolerate sexual abuse.

The guy who molested him - Adam Venit - had initially called his own behavior "horseplay", and said Crews wasn't "injured", so what was the big deal?  He  later sent a letter of apology, and Terry accepted the apology.

My wish is that the writer of a recent Arizona Republic column extolling the virtues of Meghan McCain's rise in analyst circles and chastising those who complain "shrilly" about her could read this comment.  If he'd just watch The View for two weeks, he could write a completely different column.

I noticed that Joy looked directly at Whoopi and said she wouldn't mention the agency that the agent worked for during the Terry Crews segment. It makes me wonder if Whoopi is represented by the same agency and asked for the name not to be mentioned?

I am guessing that since they didn't name the agency then they don't have to read the lengthy statement from the agency.  Which makes Whoopi's life easier.

She was soft-spoken but she was condescending as fuck with her initial response but once she opened that door. Begala went in and made her look dumb...the most impressive thing was how quickly he thought on his feet to throw it back in her face. The idea that anyone can be taken seriously in a field where they blame their date of birth on the reasons why they don't know important history and people is just ridiculous and frankly, embarrassing. Either she was smart enough to know she had set herself up badly for that fall and decided not to do any further damage to herself or she recognized that acting in any way as she does on The View among a panel of men would only invite criticisms that would attribute her behaviour and lack of information on being a woman...or maybe it was a little bit of both.

Twat: "Well I wasn't born then."

Begala: "I wasn't born during the French Revolution, but I know of IT."

Me: OH SNAP! That NEVER gets old!

It's such a good comeback that makes the other person look stupid but Meghan didn't learn because I'm pretty sure she's used that excuse since then. She talks about the founding fathers, wars before her birth, she's made reference to the values of J Edgar Hoover...forget not being born during his actual tenure in the FBI, she wasn't even born before his death, lol.

Five minutes in: I grew up with a father who's best friend was Ted Kennedy!

You all don't even need me to say the name of the person at the table who said this. You know.

This might've been record-breaking in terms of the time it takes for her to mention her father.

She was screaming because there were holes in her argument. Pushing back on her flaky reasoning by pointing out Trump's intransigence is, apparently, "being just like the politicians" and refusing to reopen the government.

I wanted to hear what Abby had to say. She started with, "I'll tell you why that won't happen." And kept getting cut off. I wish Whoopi wasn't as gentle and cut Meghan off so others could speak.

I wonder if the View will follow Jimmy Kimmel and The Real in giving money towards those affected by the shut down. It's easy to talk about it and be passionate, but I'd like to see them put their money where their mouth is.

This crazy bitch is literally SCREAMING at the audience.

*screeching* We should stop saying it's all Trump's fault because then I'M gonna have to go down the list of all the things Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer haven't done!

Or something to that effect.

Who anointed Meghan the "fact-checker" of what Dems have/haven't done?! SHUT UP MEGHAN!!

And why did Meghan start clutching her pearls when Joy snapped and said, "excuse me!" so that she could finish her point when Meghan is the main one demanding the other ladies to let her finish while she's talking?!

Also noticed that when NutMeg mentioned something about being the conservative at the table, Abby quickly butted in and said, "I think we all just want the government to re-open," or something.

Ughhhhh. This segment... *bangs head against wall*
