I actually think Carole was the worst shit-stirrer this season. Telling Dorinda about Scott being invited to cabaret last minute was so unnecessary and totally meant to stir up shit. 

Ramona wasn't that bad this season, in terms of stirring shit up. It's true that she did just openly say what she was thinking. Not like last year (I think it was last year?) when she made the faux-concerned comment about how Brynn was "dealing" with Bethenny's adult video being out there, in order to get the topic on air. Now THAT was some shady shit.

I agree, Carole can stir up some shit as well.  I just don't think Ramona has the skills to actually stir up shit, she causes trouble, but to me, it's always pretty blatant.  In the adult video thing, it was like, everyone is happily eating lunch and all of a sudden, Ramona is like "Oh, so how is Brynn adjusting to your porn video?"  Much the same way other people would be like "Oh, did I tell you, we're getting a dog!"  And then the record scratches and people are like, bitch what?  

If it was Dorinda, she'd have eased on in, with a meeting for tea or some wine before an event and then while chatting about the weather and a play that they'd recently seen, and how this friend has been sick, etc, she'd lower her voice and be like "Listen, I don't want to say anything, but, I feel like I should let you know, some people have been talking lately about a video you did years ago.  I haven't seen it, so I don't know anything about it, but, someone was telling me that it was maybe like one of those HBO movies?  Anyway, Luann said she caught a clip of it on someone's phone, and she said she wouldn't have wanted her daughter to know about it, and I just wanted to know, how are you handling this?  Can I do anything for you?  Is Brynn doing ok with the news?  People haven't said anything to her, have they? Oh, god forbid, the parents of her friends talk about it! What do you want me to say when I hear about it?  Right, right, here, let me get you some more wine.  Here, have a cookie, they're great.  I had the best cookie from this little bakery the other day! . . . ."

Ramona is just not "slick" enough to stir the pot - she'd fuck it up major. Ramona approach has always been direct and the shit just falls out of her mouth. I love my Touretzy Turtle.

Now Carole and Dorinda are the super slick ones...they whisper in another one's ear to rile them up so that they fight OR make another person do their dirty work.

With Carole - it was telling Tinsley she should tell Dorinda about Scott during Luann's show.

With Dorinda - it was telling Tinsley about what Sonja said about who was paying for her hotel (which turns out to be the truth according to Tinsley on WWHL) - anyway this incited Tinsley into having a fight with Sonja at Ramona's Hamptons party.

With Carole - it was telling Kristen about saying saying Pop Of Color was a stupid name because it's already used all over the place. This caused Kristen to get mad and want to confront Bethenny at some event.

Years ago, Bethenny called Dorinda the Village Idiot - but I see Dorinda as the Town Crier - she wins the Shit Stirrer Trophy

When I originally decided on the name TruRanoodle as a business venture for Ramona it was a phonetic play on TruRenewal. Changed the Re to Ra for Ramona and spelled noodle instead of newdle

Ro was indeed very successful in her career. With an assist from her dad, not alone like she claims. I joined the Navy to get my degree and there has never been one person in my life who could or would loan me any money to start a business. And I had a crap childhood. Crap. So she can shove her woe is me narrative up her ass. And I wouldn't care, but like Carole she likes to play the who had it worse game. Newsflash, there is always someone who had it worse. And whether "better" or "worse" pain is pain and hardship is hardship.

Now Ramona does vanity projects for screentime. How does that saying go, Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me? This is her second skinline "product." Ro doesn't appear to actually be trying to produce it, much less sell it. There's nothing to support.

Ro doesn't like Bethenny. She doesn't give one shit about Bethenny's support. Ro cares that Bethenny would have secured Ramona more screen time. 

Why should Bethenny be happy to be used by Ramona? What does Bethenny owe Ramona? What would Bethenny's attendance at the party have done to advance Ramona's business? Nothing. It would have given her more air time that is it.

Bethenny should have RSVPd to decline, but I would love to meet a person who has RSVPd to decline every invitation sent to them.

For me, Beth uses the other housewives as much as Ro.  Beth had this big so called launch party for her skinny jeans.  Does anyone believe this was not using the show when the fact was that this line was not even launched until seven months later?  And then there was the cold cuts.  Beth uses the show as much as anyone.  Probably even more so.

Though for real, back when I still drank, I would have loved to try her wine. But I could never find it. I looked. 

Ramona didn't get an RSVP who she called to scream at and was a part of "the dream team" trying to take her down. Bethenny owes her nothing. I'm unsure where treating people like that ensures a polite response, but I wouldn't bother either. I'm not a doormat.

If you want to discuss in detail about what Bethenny has or hasn't done, I will follow you two one if the two sections devoted entirely to talking about her, because she is such a vital part of the cast.

*Note: I don't dislike Ramona, for now. She's been pretty low key this year and her mechanisms transparent. She is funny as hell, but this entitled I can treat people like dirt and expect to be treated with respect back thing is obnoxious. Her I did everything myself but Bethenny didn't is a lie. She had help. She had connections. It's jealousy. And not fun to watch.

She was extremely successful, long before this show (re-watching the first two seasons, you get a better sense of her pre-show wealth - the garden she used to have at her Hamptons home, near the pool, was insane). It's help. It's awesome that she paid it back so quickly, but without her father she wouldn't have been able to do it. It's a lie that she did it alone.

But seriously, why does it matter? Her accomplishments are awesome. With or without help. But she got help. Many successful people have help. Whether it's a timely loan from a father. Or college paid for.

Ramona kicked ass and made a success of herself, but she wouldn't have been able to do it initially without the loan from her father to buy the product. It's awesome that she had that help, but she ignores the fact that she was privlidged to have the help of her father, while shitting on a castmate for having her college paid for.

It's just this mindless and stupifying blindspots of rage and jealousy and jealousy for Bethenny that makes her blind to the illogic of this accusation, since it's not like everyone has a person who will loan them seed money.

But Ramona doesn't ignore it, she talked about it on the show (and in interviews as well).

As to self made: all differences in college and rent aside (Ramona paying her way through college, Bethenny not, Ramona paying her father back for the help her gave her, Bethenny not) Ramona worked to pay her own rent, every single day since she left home at age 18, whereas Betheny admitted she used the cash rich guys gave her to make rent ("I dated guys that were rich and they helped me with my rent.") 

That alone gives the win to Ramona, because any woman who dates a guy to make her rent is not my idea of a self made woman -- not unless she's in the business of sex work (and if she is, good for her)  -- so Frankel can shut her condescending mouth about "fake" businesses, because when she was "dating men" to make rent, Ramona was building a business, paying off a mortgage, and raising a kid.

To me, the difference is that Ramona was already a buyer for Macy's, so if her father had said "no", she had positioned herself to keep grabbing at/and get the next brass ring. Frankel spent that same period in her life unable to grab the brass rings that came her way.

Despite a second place win on The Apprentice (and supposedly producing award shows) by 2007, the year Housewives began, she said she only signed up because she had 8K in her bank account, a 2.5 k rent to meet, and was dating rich guys because they'd help her make rent.  I'm pretty sure Ramona would have -- rather than date fatcats throwing her rent money  -- taken in a roommate, moved to the Jersey City, or even lived in a damn van (down by the river!)  

Singer (as crazy as she is) has been a hugely successful woman from a very early age, is secure enough in her success to give credit (even to her abusive father, a man she once held at knife point) and deserves, imo,  to be treated with respect by Frankel, not demeaned as pimping fake businesses. During her time on the show, Ramona has had a couple of product runs; on home shopping, and with her pinot; just because they weren't Skinnygirl levels of $$ doesn't mean they were fake, or Ramona wrote them off from jump.

And if Bethenny had said she didn't come because Ramona was rude to her,  fair enough (god knows that's indisputably true). But slagging on Singer's considerable accomplishments as a businesswoman is both shitty and untrue, imo.
