This franchise is such a shitshow and I love it.

Beth's house may be lovely, but it's on Montauk Hwy.  A busy road as I remember it.  And the house is not that far off a highway that you're not going to hear traffic noise.   That's why she got it at a good price.  Speaking of Beth, divorce may be like a death but the key word is like.  It isn't a death.  And, you don't insult your guest's choice of glassware....well, unless they've served you with the wrong glassware (See Dorit :)).  Ro's home may be somewhat dated but a lot of people don't feel Beth's sterile modern look. 

So has so many problems.  She really resents Tinsley.  Don't look a gifthorse in the mouth.  When the Scott paid for everything didn't work, she then went for the trust fund.  Hey So, you got a nice divorce settlement that you blew.

The wardrobe choices were....wtf.  I don't think I could walk out of the house with a man wearing that sweater.  And, yeah, Lu committed a faux pas but damn Beth, has the guy filed for divorce yet?

It's going to be an interesting season.  Much better than RHBH from what I can tell.

Probably being loyal to Carole! LuAnn was most insulting and condescending of the relationship of Adam and Carole and I don't blame her animus! Bethenny was the star of this episode for me. Loved her snarking on the ugly outfits, including her own; snarking on Ramona's house which badly needs a facelift (as someone pointed out here, Bethenny's newly purchased house is more updated than Moaner's); snarking on Ramona's fugly glasses (and I have similar ones in my home that belonged to my husband's grandmother. I have managed to move them from the china cabinet to a cupboard without him noticing - I hate them - lol); and best of all, Bethenny burning the cheque. I also loved that she called Luann on her "innocent" questions to Dennis, and got an apology from Lu, however insincere it might be. 

I have been a Carol fan in the past, but she is just a bitter hag this season. Trying to hold on to her apple? Complaining that there was no marathon memorabilia at the party? Even the cake wasn't good enough. Sheesh.

Ramona never promised Carole a theme party, just a party to celebrate her. A lovely dinner with a toast, a cake, and a seat at the head of the table is more than enough. Carole was kind of an ass to complain. What did bestie B do for her?

Tins has every right to be pissed at Sonja. That's all just jealousy but it's still disgusting. You don't offer to do a friend a favor and then hold it over them forever and spread rumors about them. Just no.

Sonja is right about Ramona apologizing all over herself for no purpose and with no change in behavior.

You don't compare death to any breakup, it's just not the same. But a breakup can feel like a death, and there's no timeline for being over it.

I friggin love Dorinda and her cackling. This ep was better than the whole BH season.

Carole's criticism of Ramona's party was vicious and ungracious. Ramona seemed genuinely proud of Carole and shone the spotlight on her multiple times with the toast and cake. Even if Carole would prefer abject genuflection, it is unseemly for her to criticize a kindhearted gift.
Dorinda was vile towards Sonia, multiple times, and gleeful in retelling it. I suspect she practiced the 'ho on fire' line and I suspect that her vitriol stems from feeling betrayed when Carole told her that Sonja called Dorinda fat. 
Money can't buy you class, indeed.

My sister, her husband and my brother have all ran lots of marathons.  I feel bad I have never given them a party, let alone a theme party.  But, if I had, it would have been a buffet like all of our family get togethers.  And my sister would have to  bake her own cake, because she is the baker in the family.  No way I could compete with her with a box of Duncan Hines.

Agree that the party outfits were ugly. Especially Carol's.  And what is up with Lu Ann's braids.  I read today that she smokes pot.  Maybe the braids are part of her new hippie life style.  Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I can't believe I used to be a fan of Sonja's.  She is a total delusional ass hole now days.

I laughed throughout the episode as well. These four episodes of NY were far more entertaining to me than the past couple seasons of Beverly Hills. I cracked up at Dorinda's TH with her just laughing at Lu's questioning of Dennis. Dorinda coming up on Ramona while Ramona was talking about Dorinda was great. Bethenny making fun of the way they all were dressed, snarking on Ramona's wine glasses, and burning the check made me laugh as well. 

Carole's criticism of Ramona's party was so petty. What memorabilia did she want? Tin foil blankets, empty paper cups strewn about, power bars, a finish line, bloody bits due chafing, half eaten bananas, running numbers, safety pins, the participation medal/ribbon or any of the other glamorous marathon memorabilia? Carole's reaction was so ridiculous when last week she was heaping praise onto Ramona for being such a great friend in her blog.

Since I am coming off of Beverly Hills, I appreciate some of the ladies just looking casual and not having their possible glam squads make them up for every breakfast/lunch/dinner/drinks/whatever. Hell, even when I am assuming their glam squads work with them they still look less over the top and more normal than the Beverly Hills cast.

It's a no win situation with our generation! On one side there are the folks who think we need to stay in our lane and not wear stuff "too young" for us! If we wear something that does date us, we're slammed for that! I'm gonna stick to short "shorts" for as long as the skin stays firm! ;-)

Sonja had a takedown coming, but I hate that these women go straight to slut-shaming with each other. First there was the comment last year about putting an E-Z pass on Sonja's "Holland Tunnel," now it's calling her a ho and telling her to shut her legs.
